Your questions about Disneyland Paris

Here are my answers to the questions readers send me most. Every topic also gets its own dedicated page with all of its questions.

01 What types of tickets are there for Disneyland Paris?

Disneyland Paris sells quite a few kinds of tickets, and I know it’s easy to feel lost when planning a first trip. Here’s the 2026 lineup. Bon Plan tickets are the cheapest, but supply is limited. Dated 1-park or 2-park tickets work on one specific date. Undated 1-park or 2-park tickets let you set the date later, though they can’t be used on July 14, October 31, or December 31. Then there are multi-day tickets (2 to 4 days) and Special Offer tickets such as the Tribu ticket. Group tickets start at 20 people. Friends Tickets are only for annual passholders. Halloween and New Year’s Eve no longer have their own "evening" ticket: the nights of October 31 and December 31 come with that day’s dated ticket. Annual passholder evenings, however, still go on. And last, there are the annual passes themselves. Every ticket comes with its own rules and its own price.

02 Why do Disneyland Paris ticket prices change so often?

Disneyland Paris switched all its tickets to dynamic pricing in November 2024. So the same ticket can cost more or less depending on your visit date, demand, and when you buy it. Peak periods (French school breaks, Christmas, Halloween, long weekends) cost the most, and prices climb as the date approaches. A color-coded calendar lays out the price date by date.

03 How does a dated 2-park ticket work?

With a dated 2-park ticket, you can go back and forth between Disneyland Park and Disney Adventure World all day, on one specific date. I recommend it for return visitors who want to see it all, especially now that World of Frozen is open and more new attractions are on the way at Disney Adventure World. The two parks sit right next to each other, a walk of under 5 minutes. Its price depends on the date and on when you buy, and the official Disneyland Paris website shows it when you book.

04 How does a multi-day Disneyland Paris ticket work?

A multi-day ticket covers both parks over 2, 3, or 4 days, to be used within the validity window printed on it. It’s my go-to recommendation for first-timers traveling a long way: one day is clearly not enough to see it all, and by day two the pace feels far more pleasant. Pricing is tiered, so each extra day you add lowers the cost per day. You’ll see the prices on the official Disneyland Paris website as you book.

05 When should you buy your ticket to get the lowest price?

Dynamic pricing rewards early birds: the sooner you buy, the less you pay. I’d buy at least 2 to 3 months before your date, and earlier still for peak periods, when the best dates disappear fast. Holding out for a last-minute sale doesn’t pay off with tickets, since prices almost always go up as the date gets near.

06 Do Disneyland Paris tickets come with a child price?

Yes, kids from 3 through 11 get the child price at Disneyland Paris. Starting at 12, they pay the adult price (I know, it catches everyone off guard, but most parks around the world do the same). What counts is your child’s age on the day you visit, not the day you buy, which is also why the visit date is requested when you register the ticket. The official Disneyland Paris website lists child prices during booking, and how much you save depends on the ticket type.

07 What exactly is a Disney "private sale" for Disneyland Paris?

A Disney private sale is a short-lived promotion. It’s run by specialist sites such as Veepee or Voyage Privé, or every so often by Disneyland Paris itself. It lets you buy tickets or vacation packages at a discount. To get in, you usually need to be registered on the site or subscribed to its newsletter.

08 Can you actually save money with Disney private sales?

Yes, private sales sometimes have attractive discounts on tickets or vacation packages: I’ve seen savings of up to 35%, though it varies from one sale to the next. Even so, my advice is to always check against prices on the official Disneyland Paris website, because the sale isn’t automatically the cheapest option.

09 What’s the catch with buying through a private sale instead of the official website?

The biggest catch is the lack of flexibility: making changes or canceling is often hard, sometimes impossible, especially when the terms aren’t spelled out clearly. Read them closely before you book. Also watch out for discounts calculated from an inflated starting price, which makes the real savings smaller.

10 Why can it pay to book directly on the official Disneyland Paris website?

Booking direct on the official website often comes with more flexible terms: tickets you can cancel or change if plans shift, refund guarantees, and access to official perks. Private sales don’t always offer that. When flexibility matters to you, this is the route I recommend.

11 Is everything you do in the park covered by a Disneyland ticket?

No. Your ticket only gets you through the park gates. Extras like parking, food, shopping, and skip-the-line access aren’t covered. Set aside some extra money in your budget for those.

12 Are Friends Tickets on sale at the park entrance?

No. Friends Tickets aren’t sold at the park entrance anymore. The only way to get them is through the official Disneyland Paris website or the mobile app, signed in to the Disney account linked to your annual pass. You’ll need an active annual pass to see the offer.

13 Can I pay for park tickets with vacation vouchers?

Yes, you can, but it takes two steps: buy your tickets online first, then mail in your vacation vouchers ahead of your visit. Get going early so the payment has time to go through.

14 Are Disney military tickets actually cheaper?

Yes. The military ticket often saves you somewhere between 10% and 25%, depending on the date and how crowded the park is. That percentage isn’t guaranteed, so I suggest comparing it with standard tickets for your date.

15 Where are Disney military tickets sold?

Military tickets can only be booked on the official Disneyland Paris website, in its special tickets section. Be careful with offers you find anywhere else, since nothing guarantees them.

16 Do you need a park ticket to visit Disney Village?

No. Disney Village is free and open to everyone, with no park ticket or Disney hotel stay required. You can have dinner, browse the shops (including the huge World of Disney store), grab a Starbucks, or catch a movie. The only formality, if you’re not coming straight from a park, is going through the security check at the entrance to the Village. Merchandise exclusive to a land or a season, on the other hand, is sold in the shops inside the parks, which require a ticket.

17 What’s the Bon Plan ticket at Disneyland Paris?

The Bon Plan ticket is the cheapest way into Disneyland Paris, launched on November 18, 2025. It gets you into one park (Disneyland Park or Disney Adventure World) on a set date, starting at €49, with a paid upgrade if you want both parks. What makes it different: adults and children (ages 3-11) pay the same single price, with no discount by age. These tickets come in limited numbers and only go on sale 60 to 90 days before the visit date. They can’t be refunded, changed, or canceled, so only book one if your date is certain.

01 How much does a Disneyland Paris vacation cost?

The price of a stay varies a lot depending on the hotel you pick. For a 2-day, 1-night stay for 2 adults and 2 kids with park tickets included, expect about €600 at the cheapest official Disney hotel and up to €1,100 at the most upscale one. On top of that, you need to add meals: the amount depends on the type of restaurant, but I recommend budgeting at least €300 for breakfast, lunch, afternoon snack, and dinner over the 2 days. All in all, plan on €900 to €1,400 for this kind of trip. For a single day only, the 1-day 1-park ticket starts at €49 per adult with a Bon Plan ticket: in that case, plan a budget of at least about €400 for a one-day visit for 2 adults and 2 kids, meals included.

02 How many days do you need for a Disneyland Paris vacation?

Two days is the ideal length for a first trip: one day per park, no rushing. With three days or more, you can slow down (ride your favorites again, catch the shows you missed, enjoy the hotel and Disney Village). On a short trip, I recommend day 1 at Disneyland Park (the larger park) and day 2 at Disney Adventure World.

03 How many official Disney hotels are there at Disneyland Paris?

Disneyland Paris has 7 official Disney hotels: the Disneyland Hotel (luxury, princess theme, 0 minutes on foot from the parks), Disney Hotel New York - The Art of Marvel (Marvel theme, a 10-minute walk), the Newport Bay Club (New England theme, a 15-minute walk), the Sequoia Lodge (Disney forest theme, a 15-minute walk), Hotel Cheyenne (Wild West theme, a 20-minute walk), Hotel Santa Fe (Cars/Route 66 theme, a 20-minute walk), and the Davy Crockett Ranch (nature and Junior Woodchucks theme, reachable by car only). Each has its own atmosphere, and when I book, it really comes down to the theme and the budget.

04 Official Disney hotel vs. partner hotel: what’s the difference?

An official Disney hotel is run by Disneyland Paris and comes with exclusive perks: Extra Magic Time in the morning before official opening, free delivery of your store purchases to the hotel, and a fully themed atmosphere. A partner hotel (Explorers, Adagio, B&B, and others) is a privately run hotel near the resort, usually cheaper, but without Extra Magic Time or the Disney theming. For me, staying at a Disney hotel really changes how immersed you feel, but if money is tight, partner hotels are still a decent option.

05 Which Disney hotel is the cheapest?

The cheapest official Disney hotel is the Hotel Santa Fe, themed around Cars and Route 66. It’s the resort’s entry-level hotel, about a 20-minute walk from the parks. If your budget is even tighter, the Davy Crockett Ranch (cabins in the woods, reachable only by car) can work out cheaper for families, but you’ll need a vehicle. For exact prices, which change with the dates, I go straight to the official Disneyland Paris website.

06 Which Disney hotel is closest to the parks?

The Disneyland Hotel is by far the closest: it sits right above the entrance to Disneyland Park, 0 minutes on foot. It’s literally the park’s front gate. Next comes Disney Hotel New York - The Art of Marvel, a 10-minute walk away, then the Newport Bay Club and the Sequoia Lodge at 15 minutes. Hotel Cheyenne and Hotel Santa Fe are about 20 minutes away. The Davy Crockett Ranch isn’t within walking distance, so you’ll need a car.

07 Which Disney hotel gives you the best value for money?

In my view, Hotel Cheyenne is the best value: an immersive Wild West atmosphere at an affordable price, ideal for families. The Newport Bay Club comes right after, with its big pool and comfortable rooms at a fair price for what you get. It all depends on your priorities (theme, pool, distance), but Cheyenne is still my favorite when you’re keeping an eye on the budget.

08 Which Disney hotel is best for a luxury stay?

By a long way, the Disneyland Hotel is the resort’s top luxury option. Since its full renovation, every floor carries a princess theme, and you’ll find a spa (named Le Spa du Château), gourmet restaurants, and the highly exclusive Castle Club. If you want the very best, Castle Club rooms add breakfast with the princesses, a private lounge, and a dedicated concierge. No other Disney hotel at the resort is rated luxury.

09 Should you go for an all-inclusive package, or book your hotel, train, and tickets one by one?

In most cases, I find it cheaper to book transportation separately from lodging and tickets. The best approach is often to book the hotel and tickets on the official Disneyland Paris website, then buy your SNCF train tickets on your own. It means two bookings instead of one, but the total usually comes out lower. All-inclusive packages (like Carrefour Voyages) are still worth it for simplicity, with no need to compare.

10 Who’s eligible for Extra Magic Time, and does it require a reservation?

You qualify in three situations: if you’re staying at an official Disney hotel (on your arrival day, throughout your stay, and on your departure day), if you’re staying at Villages Nature Paris with a package that includes it, or if you hold a valid Disneyland Pass Gold. The Bronze One, Bronze Max, and Silver tiers don’t include early entry. There’s nothing to reserve: just show up at the park entrance about an hour before official opening with your MagicPass or your Gold pass. Hotel guests should do their online check-in so they can use it from day one.

11 Which rides are open during Extra Magic Time?

At Disneyland Park (12 attractions): Le Carrousel de Lancelot, Peter Pan’s Flight, Dumbo the Flying Elephant, Mad Hatter’s Tea Cups, Princess Pavilion, Phantom Manor, Big Thunder Mountain, Thunder Mesa Riverboat Landing, Buzz Lightyear Laser Blast, Orbitron, Star Wars Hyperspace Mountain, Star Tours: The Adventures Continue. At Disney Adventure World (8 attractions): The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror, Les Tapis Volants - Flying Carpets Over Agrabah, Toy Soldiers Parachute Drop, Slinky Dog Zigzag Spin, RC Racer, Crush’s Coaster, Cars Quatre Roues Rallye, Ratatouille : L’Aventure Totalement Toquée de Rémy. The list can change from day to day.

12 Which of the Disney hotels have a pool?

5 of the 7 official Disney hotels have a pool: the Disneyland Hotel (indoor pool only, with a hot tub, steam room, and sauna), Hotel New York - The Art of Marvel (indoor and outdoor), Newport Bay Club (indoor and outdoor, with a large pool), Sequoia Lodge (indoor and outdoor), and Davy Crockett Ranch (indoor, the biggest at the resort, with a waterslide). Hotel Cheyenne and Hotel Santa Fe don’t have a pool.

13 Can you pay for your vacation in installments, and how much is the deposit?

Yes, as long as it’s a hotel + ticket package booked on disneylandparis.com. A 15% deposit is due at booking, and the remainder can be split into several payments at no extra cost, all settled at least 10 days before you arrive (11 days for phone bookings). Any booking made more than 10 days out qualifies for split payments. Cancel within the free cancellation window and the deposit comes back to you.

14 How do I pay the balance on my Disneyland Paris reservation?

To pay the balance, go to disneylandparis.com, open "My Account," then the "My Bookings" tab. Enter your reservation number and the name of someone on the trip to pull up your booking and pay. The balance is due no later than 10 days before your arrival date (11 days if you booked through the phone reservation center).

15 After booking, where do I find my tickets?

You’ll find your tickets under "My Bookings" in your Disney account, and the link in your confirmation email takes you straight there. Save them on your phone or print them: staff scan the QR code when you enter the park. My tip: load your tickets into the official Disneyland Paris app as well, since that makes the day of your visit even smoother.

16 Is it possible to reserve just a Disney hotel room, with no park tickets?

Yes, you can. It’s often called a "room-only" booking: a Disney hotel room reserved without tickets to the parks. It comes in handy to extend a stay, or for someone traveling with you who isn’t visiting the parks. You book it by phone through the Disneyland Paris reservation center.

17 What are check-in and check-out times at the Disney hotels?

At most Disney hotels, your room is ready from 15:00 on arrival day (16:00 at the Davy Crockett Ranch and Center Parcs). On departure day, you need to vacate the room by 11:00. If your room isn’t ready yet when you arrive, you can head to the parks: drop your luggage at the hotel’s luggage storage, or leave it in your car if you prefer.

18 Is the MagicPass available in the app?

Yes for the Disney hotels, once you’ve done your online check-in (available 7 days before arrival): the MagicPass then shows up in the Disney app. Watch out, though: not every hotel offers a digital room key. At some of them, you get a physical card at the front desk on arrival day.

19 Can you use Extra Magic Time on the first day of your stay?

Yes, you can, starting on day one. To do that, you need to have completed online check-in beforehand and use your MagicPass, which you’ll find in the Disney app.

20 Does a Disney vacation package already include the tourist tax?

In a vacation package booked through Disneyland Paris or an official reseller, the tourist tax is already included in the price, so you have nothing to pay when you arrive. It’s charged per adult, per night, and the amount varies with the hotel’s category. It doesn’t apply to ticket-only purchases with no hotel night.

21 Is there a water park at Disneyland Paris?

No, Disneyland Paris has no dedicated water park with giant slides or a wave pool. The closest thing on site is the pools at the Disney hotels, especially the one at the Sequoia Lodge and above all the one at the Davy Crockett Ranch, the largest in the resort, which has a slide. They’re reserved for hotel guests. The nearest actual water park is Aqua Mundo at Center Parcs Villages Nature Paris, about a quarter of an hour from the park: an indoor, heated area, plus a large outdoor section with a lazy river, lounge chairs, and a view of the lake. To compare the Disney hotel pools, you’ll find all the details in my guide to the hotel pools.

22 Castle Club (or Deluxe) at the Disneyland Hotel: how do you get one of these rooms?

Castle Club rooms usually don’t show up online, so you need to call the Disneyland Paris reservation center directly at +33 1 60 30 60 90. Availability is very limited (Castle Club takes up only the top two floors of the Disneyland Hotel), so I suggest booking several months ahead, especially during French school vacations. Don’t forget about park entry either: the room doesn’t come with a ticket, so you’ll need a valid ticket or pass on top of it.

23 Can you visit the Disneyland Hotel without staying there?

No, not freely anymore since November 1, 2025. Entry is limited to hotel guests and to visitors holding a confirmed reservation for one of the hotel’s services (restaurant, a treatment at the Clarins spa, the Mon Rêve Royal experience, or a seminar). You can no longer just walk into the lobby. To visit, book a meal or a treatment in advance and show your confirmation at the entrance.

01 What is the Disneyland Pass?

The Disneyland Pass is the current Disneyland Paris annual pass program, launched on July 19, 2023. It replaced the former Infinity, Magic Plus, Magic Flex, and Discovery passes. On February 12, 2026, a new Bronze One tier joined the lineup, which now has four options: Bronze One, Bronze Max, Silver, and Gold. Each tier gives you a different number of access days and comes with its own on-site perks.

02 How much does the Disneyland Pass cost in 2026?

Here are the prices for 2026. Bronze One: €289. Bronze Max: €399. Silver: €569. Gold: €799. These prices are per person for one year of validity, and you can pay in full or in monthly installments.

03 How many access days does each Disneyland Pass include?

The number of access days depends on your tier. Bronze One: 170 days. Bronze Max: 210 days. Silver: 300 days. Gold: 365 days (unlimited). To check which days are open to your tier, you can view the official availability calendar in your personal Disneyland Paris account and on my blog.

04 Is the Disneyland Pass worth it?

It all comes down to how often you visit. The simple math: take the average price of a dated ticket for the dates you plan to come, multiply it by the number of visits you expect over the year, and compare that with the price of the annual pass. The pass starts to pay off as soon as you plan several visits, especially in peak season when dated tickets cost the most. Don’t forget the indirect savings: free parking, store and dining discounts (with Silver and Gold), PhotoPass included (with Gold), and access to annual pass deals on Disney hotels, Disney evening events, and Pop-Up Surprises.

05 What discounts do Disneyland Pass holders get?

The discounts depend on your tier. With the Bronze One and Bronze Max passes, you don’t get any store or dining discount. With the Silver pass, you get -10% at the stores and restaurants in the parks and at Disney Village, plus -10% on PhotoPass. With the Gold pass, it’s -15% on shopping and dining, PhotoPass is included for free, and you get Extra Magic Time. For Disney hotel stays, occasional discounts are offered, which vary with the time of year and don’t depend on your pass tier. The latest details are in your personal Disneyland Paris account and in the Disneyland Pass section of my blog.

06 How do I buy a Disneyland Pass?

There are two main ways. Online, on the official website disneylandparis.com, in the annual pass section: you choose your tier, pay, and then just stop by the ticket windows to pick up your physical card with your photo (if you want the physical card). In person, at the Annual Passport ticket windows located before the park entrances, usually beneath the Disneyland Hotel (except during renovation work). You don’t need a park ticket to get there, so you can come just to sign up.

07 With a Disneyland Pass, is booking your visit date required?

Yes, every Disneyland Pass tier requires a reservation, the same as undated tickets (Billet Liberté in French). The pass gives you the right to enter, but you have to register each visit date ahead of time, even on a day when the park looks quiet. Without a booked date, you’ll be turned away at the entrance. You make reservations in your personal Disneyland Paris account or in the app.

08 How do I stop or not renew my Disneyland Pass?

The Disneyland Pass doesn’t renew automatically. It simply expires on its end date. So to stop it, you just don’t renew, and there’s nothing to cancel. If you chose monthly payments, those continue until the end of your one-year commitment.

09 Does the Disneyland Pass get you a discount on Disney hotel nights?

Yes, the Disneyland Pass gives you access to discounts on vacation packages and nights at Disney hotels, depending on your tier and the time of year. The current deals are listed in this article.

10 Is there a Disneyland Pass renewal discount, and how do I get it?

Yes. You get 15% off when you renew within the set window (1 month before to 1 month after your pass’s end date). Watch out: it’s only available at the Annual Passport ticket windows in Disneyland Park. You can’t renew online (online, you can only buy a new pass at full price). When you renew in person within that window, the discount is applied automatically, with no code or extra steps, and you get a free Disneyland Pass lanyard.

During your visit

01 When is the best time to visit Disneyland Paris?

The quietest months are January, March, and September. If crowds bother you, steer clear of July-August, Toussaint (the French fall school break, during Halloween season), the Christmas break, and weekends in May. During the week, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday remain the best days, and Saturday is the busiest. On the flip side, the Halloween and Christmas seasons bring extra decorations and shows, at the cost of bigger crowds.

02 How many days do you need for Disneyland Paris?

If you’re selective, a single day covers the main highlights of one park. Two days is the sweet spot for seeing Disneyland Park and Disney Adventure World without rushing, spending one day in each. Add more days and things slow down, leaving time to ride your favorites again. For families with kids on their first visit, I suggest 2 nights / 3 days.

03 How far in advance should you book your trip or tickets?

Book as soon as you can. Prices at Disneyland Paris are dynamic, so booking earlier means paying less. Dated tickets are best bought at least 3 months out, and a Disney hotel 6 to 9 months out for peak dates (French school vacations, French long weekends in May, Halloween, Christmas). Bookings often open even earlier than that, so once your dates are locked in, go ahead. Table-service restaurants can be reserved through the official app up to 2 months before if you’re a day visitor, and up to 1 year before if you’re a Disney hotel guest.

04 When should I get to Disneyland Paris to skip the wait at the entrance?

At least 30 minutes before official opening, ideally 45 minutes during busy periods. By the time you’re through the security check and then the turnstiles, you’ll be in place at the park gates right at opening. The first 90 minutes of the day are the most valuable: that’s when you can do 3 or 4 major rides in a row without much of a line.

05 How many rides can you fit into a single day at Disneyland Paris?

On a quiet day with good planning, plan on 10 to 15 rides over a full day. On a busy day, more like 6 to 8. The levers that make a real difference: arriving 30 minutes before opening, eating at off-peak times (lunch at 11:30 or 14:00), making the most of the last hour before closing (lines thin out), and using Premier Access strategically on 2 or 3 high-demand rides.

06 Is Premier Access worth it for a first visit?

It depends on the day. Premier Access costs extra on top of your ticket, from €5 per ride and per use, and the price climbs on busy days. On crowded days (French school vacations, weekends, Halloween and Christmas seasons) and on the big rides where the wait often tops an hour, it’s worth it for one or two high-demand rides. On a quiet day, you don’t need it: if you arrive at opening and follow a logical touring order, you’ll wait very little without paying anything. You buy it in the official app, on the day itself for the One. The Ultimate can also be bought ahead of time. All the details are in my Premier Access guide.

07 Is the official Disneyland Paris app essential?

Yes, I consider it a basic tool these days. It shows wait times in real time, show and parade times, and lets you book table-service restaurants, manage your tickets, and buy Premier Access. Be sure to download it and sign in to your Disney account before you arrive, since the network can get overloaded on some days.

08 Disney hotel or partner hotel: which one should you pick?

It all depends on your budget and your game plan. Disney hotel: you get Extra Magic Time (entry to the parks up to 1 hour before official opening, on a selection of headline rides), delivery of your purchases to the hotel, the official shuttle service, and a themed atmosphere. Partner hotel (Explorers, Adagio, B&B, and others): prices are often lower, a free shuttle is usually offered but it isn’t an official Disney one, and breakfast isn’t always included in the rate (check when you book). For a first trip, I’d lean toward a Disney hotel. To make the most of your budget, go with a partner hotel.

09 Adults traveling with friends: is Disneyland Paris worth it?

Yes, Disneyland Paris is worth it for a group of adult friends. You can focus on the thrill rides, and the most intense ones are mostly at Disney Adventure World. On several of them, the free Single Rider line often saves time: you wait together, then each of you takes a seat that was left empty. In the evening, each park wraps up the day with its nighttime show, and then Disney Village, which stays open after the parks close, keeps the night going. With several of you, you can split the room and the parking, which lowers the bill per person. I recommend choosing together, before you leave, the rides everyone likes and setting a shared food budget, so you don’t scatter. For a bachelorette or bachelor party, I have a dedicated guide. I also have one for visiting as a couple, solo, or with seniors.

10 Is Disneyland Paris suitable for very young children?

Yes. Admission is free for kids under 3 (no ticket needed). Many rides are suitable from a very young age, especially in Fantasyland ("it’s a small world," Le Carrousel de Lancelot, Peter Pan’s Flight). Rider Switch (formerly Baby Switch) lets parents take turns on rides with a height requirement without waiting in line again. Baby Care Centers (changing, nursing, bottle warmers) are available in each park.

11 How does Rider Switch work at Disneyland Paris?

Rider Switch (formerly Baby Switch) lets two adults take turns on a ride with a height requirement (or one that isn’t recommended for someone) without waiting in line twice. Explain your situation to the Cast Member at the ride entrance. One adult rides while the other waits with the child. When the first one comes back, the adult who waited outside goes straight through the priority line or the Premier Access line, depending on the instructions given. The service is free and works on most rides with a height requirement in both parks.

12 What should you do at Disneyland Paris if it rains?

A rainy day at Disneyland Paris can still be a good one if you adjust your plan. Here’s what I do: pack a rain poncho (it beats an umbrella in lines), lean toward indoor rides (Phantom Manor, Pirates of the Caribbean, Ratatouille, Crush’s Coaster, Spider-Man W.E.B. Adventure, "it’s a small world"), duck under the Main Street U.S.A. arcades or into the stores, and catch indoor shows such as Mickey and the Magician at Disney Adventure World (if it’s on the program, check the day’s show schedule). Crowds are often thinner on rainy days, which works in your favor.

13 How do you get between Disneyland Park and Disney Adventure World?

Only a short walk separates the two parks. Crossing the central plaza (Fantasia Garden) takes 5 minutes on foot. To get into both on a single day, you’ll need a 2-park ticket. A 1-park ticket keeps you in whichever park scans your ticket first. There’s no shuttle to take between them, which is a big plus of Disneyland Paris.

14 Does it rain a lot at Disneyland Paris?

Yes, rain is part of the Paris region’s climate: the park sees a lot of rainy days over the year, as the month-by-month table above shows. Most of the time it comes as showers, and the park is designed with plenty of covered walkways so you can keep going while staying dry.

15 Is bad weather a reason to cancel your trip?

In the vast majority of cases, no. The park is set up to run in rain, cold, snow, or high heat, and your visit stays enjoyable with good preparation. Cancellation terms depend mainly on your type of ticket or vacation package, not on the weather.

16 Is a Disney hotel pool open to guests of other Disney hotels?

No. Each pool is strictly for that hotel’s own guests, with entry checked by wristband or room key. That said, anyone staying at an official Disney hotel can walk into the lobbies, restaurants, and bars of the other official Disney hotels, a nice way to soak up the vibe at Disney Hotel New York - The Art of Marvel or Sequoia Lodge without booking a room there.

17 What is Disney Village, and how do you get there?

Disney Village is the free-entry entertainment district located between the two parks (Disneyland Park and Disney Adventure World) and the Disney hotels. You’ll find restaurants, bars, stores, and a movie theater. It’s right next to the station (RER A, the Paris commuter train, and the TGV high-speed train) and the park entrance.

18 What are Disney Village’s hours?

At Disney Village, the first places open as early as 8:00 (breakfast), and most open around 9:00-10:00. Each business has its own hours. Closing times are staggered late into the evening, usually between midnight and 1:00 in the morning. So the hours are longer than the parks’, which makes it a great option for the end of the day. I recommend checking the hours for your visit date on the official Disneyland Paris website.

19 What can you do at Disney Village?

Disney Village brings several kinds of entertainment together in one place: restaurants for every budget, bars, an arcade, a movie theater, the PanoraMagique tethered balloon, and a whole shopping area full of souvenirs for all ages. It’s a convenient spot to stretch out the day at a relaxed pace after the parks.

20 Is there a dress code at Disneyland Paris?

Yes, a few rules apply to what you wear. Costumes and masks are not allowed for guests aged 12 and over, except for medical reasons, so younger kids can come dressed up. Any outfit or mask that fully covers the face is banned for safety reasons. Other than that, wear whatever you like. My advice: above all, choose comfortable shoes, because you’ll be doing a lot of walking.

21 What are the security measures at the park entrances?

For security reasons, Disneyland Paris may check your clothing and personal belongings at the park entrance, either by eye or using dedicated screening equipment. So allow a little time to get through this check, especially at peak times. My tip: keep what’s in your bag to a minimum and show up early so you can walk in stress-free. The exact procedures are spelled out in the park rules on the official Disneyland Paris website.

22 Where can I find the park hours for each day?

Park hours change from day to day and with the time of year, so you should always check them for your exact date. The official calendar on the Disneyland Paris website is updated daily and shows when each park opens and closes. You’ll also find this information in the Disneyland Paris mobile app and on my blog. My tip: look the hours up again a few days before your visit, since they can change.

23 What should I do if my child gets lost in a Disney park?

Let the closest Cast Member (park employee) know immediately: they’re trained for exactly this, and they’ll start looking for your child. Every park has a Lost Children meeting point, where a Cast Member stays with your child until you arrive. My tip before you go: pick a place to meet up with your child ahead of time, and write a phone number somewhere on them.

24 Which park should you pick for a first visit with just one day?

For a first visit with just one day, I recommend Disneyland Park. With a 1-day 1-park ticket, it gives you the most: the castle, the parade, and the big rides for all ages, in the original world Walt Disney dreamed up.

25 Which park works best with young kids?

Go with Disneyland Park. You’ll find more rides made with little ones in mind, particularly in Fantasyland, and the overall feel suits them perfectly.

26 Can you check Disneyland Paris crowd levels in advance?

Yes, on my blog I offer a crowd calendar that estimates how busy Disneyland Paris will be. It’s based on attendance in past years, so actual crowds can differ, especially since dynamic pricing was introduced, which naturally tends to spread visitors more evenly.

27 What is there to do near Disneyland Paris besides the parks?

You won’t run out of things to do close by. Animal lovers can head to Parrot World or the Parc des Félins, and there’s also the SEA LIFE Paris Val d’Europe aquarium, the Imagi Park leisure complex, and the Villages Nature water park. If you’d like to shop, try Val d’Europe or La Vallée Village. Golf is another option, as are strolls by the Marne River, not to mention full-day outings to Paris, Provins, or Parc Astérix.

28 Disneyland Paris or Parc Astérix: which one should you pick?

Located in Plailly, roughly 50 minutes from Disneyland Paris, Parc Astérix is all about roller coasters and Gaul-themed fun. Disneyland Paris, by contrast, has a whole other feel and a very different set of rides. To help you decide based on your own tastes, I put together an in-depth comparison here on the blog.

29 Is it OK to pack your own food or a picnic for Disneyland Paris?

Yes. Your own cold food is allowed (sandwiches, snacks, fruit, cake, a reusable water bottle) in a backpack or a small soft cooler bag, and there’s a picnic area between Disney Village and the parking lots. Not allowed: alcohol, glass containers, knives, and large hard coolers. I always tuck a reusable water bottle and some cookies into my bag. It keeps energy dips and counter lines at bay, and it trims the bill.

30 How long before Disney Cascade of Lights should you get there?

By the lake at Disney Adventure World, you generally need 30 to 45 minutes before the show for a good spot, and 45 to 60 minutes for the best views facing the stage when crowds are heavy. Spots farther back can be claimed later.

31 Why is Mulan a Disney Princess?

Although Mulan wasn’t born royal and never marries a prince, she belongs to the Disney Princesses lineup: her place comes from a heroic deed, saving China. She became an official part of the franchise in 2006, following a popularity contest.

32 Should you cancel your Disneyland Paris visit because of wind?

No. Your day will hold up just fine: most rides and restaurants aren’t affected. Only some outdoor shows may be cut short or canceled. Just bring a windproof jacket.

33 How can I tell if the wind will be too strong on the day of my visit?

Check the forecast and the Météo-France weather alerts for Seine-et-Marne the day before and that morning. In the park, the teams announce any show cancellations as the day goes on.

34 Is there a prize at the end of the Discovery Quest?

Yes: once your child finishes the quest, they pick up a small souvenir gift at the hotel store (what you get can vary depending on the time of year).

35 How much time does the Discovery Quest take?

Plan on about 30 minutes to 1 hour. It’s played on a phone at your own pace, so you can take a break and pick it back up later in the day.

36 Can the drone show be canceled because of the weather?

Yes. The drones don’t fly when the wind is too strong, and the show may then run without them or be canceled. Rain can also disrupt it. Your safest bet is to check the day’s program in the official app before planning your evening around the show.

Services and extras

01 What is Premier Access?

Premier Access is the paid line-skipping service at Disneyland Paris. It comes in two versions: Premier Access One (you pay for access to a single ride at a set time, through the app on the day of your visit or at City Hall) and Premier Access Ultimate (a one-day bundle that gets you priority entry once on every eligible ride in both parks). My advice is to go with One when you only have one or two rides you want to lock in, and to switch to Ultimate when you’d rather go from ride to ride without thinking about it.

02 Premier Access One or Premier Access Ultimate: which should you pick?

You have two options depending on your budget and how you like to visit. Premier Access One (bought ride by ride in the app or at City Hall) works best if you’re only targeting one or two specific rides that day. Premier Access Ultimate is the one-day bundle that covers every eligible ride in both parks for a single price, perfect for a short, packed 1-day visit where you want to keep moving without counting. To give you a rough idea, One costs between €5 and €23 per ride, and Ultimate costs between €110 and €230 for the day. For a first-time family visiting for 1 day, Ultimate can be worth it if the budget allows. Otherwise, One on the 2-3 rides that worry you most often does the job.

03 Which rides offer Premier Access in 2026?

A number of iconic rides in both parks offer Premier Access. At Disneyland Park, you’ll find "it’s a small world", Autopia, Big Thunder Mountain, Buzz Lightyear Laser Blast, Indiana Jones and the Temple of Peril, Orbitron, Peter Pan’s Flight, Phantom Manor, Pirates of the Caribbean, Star Tours, and Star Wars Hyperspace Mountain. At Disney Adventure World, the list is Avengers Assemble: Flight Force, Cars ROAD TRIP, Crush’s Coaster, Frozen Ever After, Raiponce Tangled Spin, Ratatouille, Spider-Man W.E.B. Adventure, and The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror. One detail to keep in mind: Orbitron is only available with Premier Access One, not with Ultimate. You can check the current list and the height requirements in the Disneyland Paris app on the day of your visit.

04 How do I use the Disneyland Paris app?

The Disneyland Paris app is essential for a smooth day in the parks. It gives you the interactive park map, real-time wait times, show and parade times, Premier Access purchases (One and Ultimate), restaurant reservations, and your scannable park ticket. Keep in mind: the PhotoPass gallery isn’t available in the Disneyland Paris app. You need to go through the dedicated official Disney PhotoPass website, where you set up a separate account to find your photos. Download the app and create your account BEFORE your trip, and link your tickets ahead of time to avoid stress when you arrive.

05 How do you celebrate a birthday at Disneyland Paris?

A birthday is one of the best reasons to visit Disneyland Paris, and a few small touches make the day really special. The free extra you shouldn’t skip: pick up a birthday badge at City Hall, at Studio Services, or at the concierge desk of your Disney hotel. Cast Members and characters spot it and celebrate the child all day long. You can also get a phone call from Mickey at City Hall. For meals, you can order a personalized cake at most table-service and buffet restaurants, by mentioning it when you book or when you arrive. At the hotel, mention that it’s a birthday when you book online: some hotels add a few special touches to the room, at their discretion. For a premium option, some VIP packages are available too.

06 How do I create my free Disney account?

Creating a Disney account is free. On disneylandparis.com, click "Me connecter" (Log in) at the top of the page, then follow the steps to sign up. In the Disneyland Paris mobile app, you create it in the "Profil" section. If you buy a ticket or a vacation package without an account, the website will offer to create one at checkout. My advice: set it up before you book, so you save time on the day you buy. And if you have a Disney+ account, you can use that same account.

07 Why is a Disney account required to buy tickets or book a vacation?

Your Disney account is the single account that brings together your Disneyland Paris purchases and reservations (along with all your Disney services, Disney+ included). It lets you buy tickets and book a vacation or an annual pass, then find and manage everything in one place. It also keeps your booking details protected with a password. In practice, it’s how you keep track of your booking before and during your trip.

08 Locked out of my Disney account: how do I fix it?

First, double-check your password, since uppercase and lowercase letters count. Forgot it? On the sign-in screen, click the link offering help with signing in to set a new one. If your Disneyland Paris account dates from before February 25, 2020, you have to reset your password the first time you sign in. Still stuck? Disneyland Paris customer service can help you out.

09 Is PhotoPass+ worth it?

PhotoPass+ is mostly worth it if you’re visiting for several days and want to collect as many photos as possible, if you love meeting the Disney characters, or if you want high-quality keepsakes without relying on your smartphone. My tip: if you have an annual pass, PhotoPass+ may be included, which makes it an even better deal.

10 Can adults celebrate their birthday at Disneyland Paris?

Yes, celebrating your birthday at Disneyland Paris as an adult is completely doable. Lots of adult guests come to spend their special day in the parks. The birthday badge is available for all ages, and you can ask a Cast Member for one.

11 Is there free skip-the-line access at Disneyland Paris?

No, there hasn’t been any free line-skipping since FastPass was discontinued in 2021. Today, Premier Access is the only way to cut your wait, and you have to pay for it. There are still free ways to save time: arrive at opening, head to the big rides first, use Single Rider where it’s available, and ride during a parade or a show, when the lines get shorter.

12 How do I contact Disneyland Paris by chat?

Disneyland Paris has an online chat on its official website. It isn’t available around the clock, but you’ll usually find it during the day, in the bottom right corner of any page on the site, in a window called "Besoin d’aide" (Need help).

13 Magic Shot vs. ride photo: what’s the difference?

No. A Magic Shot is a picture taken by a PhotoPass photographer in the park, with a character or Disney effect added afterward (Tinker Bell sitting in your hand, for example). A ride photo is snapped automatically during certain thrill rides. They’re two separate things, but you can get both with PhotoPass.

14 Is admission free on your birthday at Disneyland Paris?

No, Disneyland Paris doesn’t offer free admission on your birthday. That rumor applies to other parks around the world. The birthday badge, the sticker, and the phone call from Mickey are free, though, and you can ask for them at City Hall.

15 Where can I buy PhotoPass+ at Disneyland Paris?

You can add PhotoPass+ to your booking on the official Disneyland Paris website, or buy it on site at the PhotoPass+ shops in both parks (New Century Notions on Main Street U.S.A., for example) and at some of the ride photo shops, such as the one at Big Thunder Mountain.

16 Is PhotoPass+ included with an annual pass?

It depends on which annual pass you have. With the Gold pass, PhotoPass+ is included for free, and that’s one of the big perks of that tier. With the Silver pass, you get -10% on the price. The Bronze passes come with no discount, so you pay the standard price of €90. Without the bundle, you can still buy your photos one at a time, starting at €15. If you take lots of pictures, that’s a solid reason to weigh the cost of upgrading to Gold.

17 How do I get my PhotoPass photos after my visit?

You can access your photos on the official Disney PhotoPass website (disneyphotopass.eu). You can also view them in the Disney PhotoPass app, but the website is still the best place to download them in HD. Log in to your Disney account, link your PhotoPass+ card number, and then open your gallery to download your pictures in HD. Remember to have all your photos scanned to the right account on the same day. How long it stays valid depends on your profile. With a regular ticket, PhotoPass+ lets you add photos for 10 days, and you then have 1 year of online access to download them. With an annual pass, the validity goes up to 1 year.

Events & Seasons

See the whole topic →
01 Which major seasons and events does Disneyland Paris hold?

Two big seasons shape the year: Halloween (from September 26 to November 1) and Christmas (from November 7 to January 6). On top of those come special days (the park’s anniversary on April 12, Star Wars Day on May 4, July 14) and sometimes festivals.

02 What are this year’s Halloween season dates at Disneyland Paris?

The Halloween season runs from September 26 to November 1 at Disneyland Park. The pumpkin decorations are concentrated on Main Street U.S.A. and in Frontierland, with Disney villain meet and greets and a dedicated parade. On October 31, both parks extend their hours into the evening (exact times on the official calendar).

03 What are this year’s Christmas season dates at Disneyland Paris?

The Christmas season runs from November 7 to January 6 across both parks, though Disneyland Park gets most of the decorations. Expect Christmas trees, lights, and artificial snow everywhere, along with a holiday parade and lots of characters to meet in festive outfits. It ranks among the most loved, and most crowded, times of the year.

04 Which major Disneyland Paris anniversaries have happened or are coming up?

Each major anniversary at Disneyland Paris brings a special lineup: themed decorations, all-new shows, commemorative costumes, and fresh additions. The latest one was the 30th (2022-2023). Next up is the park’s 35th, scheduled for 2027.

05 How can I find out which events are on during my visit?

Look on the official Disneyland Paris website or in the Disneyland Paris app, in the Calendar or Seasons section. My own calendar of seasons and events, which I keep up to date, is another option.

06 Can you dress up in costume during the Halloween season?

Yes, but costumes are only for kids under 12. An exception is made on the evening of October 31: that day, everyone can normally come dressed up. Costumes are sometimes allowed on Star Wars Day (May 4) as well.

07 How long does Santa Claus stay at Disneyland Paris?

Santa Claus is around during the Christmas season. You can spot him in the parade throughout the season. For a photo, you meet him in his workshop inside the Disney Clothiers store (Main Street U.S.A.), through December 25. After that, he heads back to the North Pole.

08 What does a New Year’s Eve ticket cost at Disneyland Paris?

For December 31, you need a dated ticket sold at a fixed price, one of the priciest of the year. Plan on roughly €150 per adult for 1 park and €185 for 2 parks. You can’t use the undated ticket (Billet Liberté in French) that day. Every price, including kids’ tickets, is in my New Year’s Eve guide.

09 What time are the New Year’s fireworks, and where should you watch them?

At midnight, a special New Year’s fireworks display lights up the sky over Sleeping Beauty Castle. Central Plaza and Main Street U.S.A. both give you an excellent view. Show up well ahead of time to grab a spot, because those areas get packed quickly and December 31 draws huge crowds. Disney Adventure World also puts on a midnight show combining drones (if the weather allows) and pyrotechnics, over World of Frozen.

10 How can I get a Christmas gift box at my Disney hotel?

Ask the concierge desk at your Disney hotel, ideally at least 7 days before you arrive, to make sure you get one.

11 Where do you pick up the Christmas gift box?

You receive it during your stay, from the Disney hotel you placed the order with.

12 What dates does the Halloween Festival run at Disneyland Paris?

The Disney Halloween Festival runs from September 26 to November 1. On October 31, Halloween day, the park extends its hours into the evening.

13 Is there a special New Year’s Eve ticket, and what does it cost?

No. A separate "evening" ticket no longer exists: the night of December 31 is now covered by a dated ticket for that day, a Disney vacation package with park access, or a Disneyland Pass that’s valid on that date. That dated ticket is sold at a fixed price, higher than a standard ticket. Plan on roughly €150 per adult for 1 park and €185 for 2 parks. You can’t use the undated ticket (Billet Liberté in French) that day. Both parks generally stay open until 1:00 in the morning. Note: in the past, New Year’s Eve was a stand-alone event requiring an additional ticket, which is no longer true.

01 How many attractions are there in total at Disneyland Paris?

Across its two parks, Disneyland Paris has 50 attractions in all: 37 at Disneyland Park and 13 at Disney Adventure World. In my dedicated article, I list every single one, park by park and land by land, so you can plan your day without leaving anything out.

02 Which iconic rides shouldn’t you miss at Disneyland Park?

For a first visit to Disneyland Park, there are several rides I highly recommend. Big Thunder Mountain is the most popular in the park, with thrills the whole family can enjoy. Phantom Manor stands apart with its very well-crafted atmosphere. Pirates of the Caribbean is an immersive boat ride that kids and grown-ups both love. Peter Pan’s Flight, short as it is, is an iconic ride in very high demand. Star Wars Hyperspace Mountain is the park’s big thrill ride. And don’t forget Sleeping Beauty Castle, which rises 50 meters high and remains the symbol of Disneyland Paris.

03 Which rides shouldn’t you miss at Disney Adventure World?

At Disney Adventure World, I have my personal favorites. At 63 meters, Tower of Terror is the tallest ride in all of Disneyland Paris and delivers big thrills. Avengers Assemble: Flight Force is still the fastest ride in the resort. Crush’s Coaster is a cult classic, but it has the longest lines. Ratatouille is an immersive ride you shouldn’t skip. Frozen Ever After, in the new World of Frozen land that opened on March 29, 2026, is the big new addition you have to try. Spider-Man W.E.B. Adventure rounds out the list of top picks at Avengers Campus.

04 What are the height requirements for each ride at Disneyland Paris?

Here are the minimum heights for the thrill rides at Disneyland Paris. In Disneyland Park: Autopia at 0.81 m, Star Tours and Big Thunder Mountain at 1.02 m, Star Wars Hyperspace Mountain at 1.20 m, and Indiana Jones and the Temple of Peril at 1.40 m. In Disney Adventure World: Toy Soldiers Parachute Drop at 0.81 m, The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror at 1.02 m, Crush’s Coaster at 1.07 m, and Avengers Assemble: Flight Force and RC Racer at 1.20 m. All the other rides have no height requirement, which families with young kids love.

05 How can you avoid long lines for the most popular rides?

To skip long lines at Disneyland Paris, I mix several strategies. First, Single Rider is free and really speeds things up on the rides that offer it, including Crush’s Coaster, Flight Force, Ratatouille, and Spider-Man, as long as you don’t mind boarding apart from your group. Next, Disney Premier Access is a paid service that guarantees you priority entry on the headline rides. If you’re staying at a Disney hotel, Extra Magic Time lets you into the park before official opening, and that’s the best time to ride the popular attractions back to back without waiting. Last, heading to the busiest rides during a parade or a big show empties the lines dramatically.

06 World of Frozen: when did it open, and what is there to do?

World of Frozen opened to the public on March 29, 2026, in Disney Adventure World, after previews for annual passholders on March 15, 18, and 23-25. Across 9,800 m², you’ll find Frozen Ever After, an immersive water dark ride set in the world of Anna and Elsa. Nordic Crowns Tavern serves Nordic cuisine. The show A Celebration in Arendelle takes place by the lake and features an Audio-Animatronics Olaf. You can meet Anna and Elsa at dedicated spots. The land is dominated by a 36-meter snowy mountain and Elsa’s 13-meter ice palace, decorated with over 300 crystals.

07 How can I find out if a ride will be under refurbishment during my vacation?

Disneyland Paris posts the list of rides closed for refurbishment on its official website several weeks ahead of time. Since the parks are open year-round, maintenance crews sometimes work on days the park is open, which leads to temporary closures. My tip: check this calendar (or the one on my blog) before you book, especially if there’s one particular ride you really care about.

08 Are the wait times posted in the park accurate?

Yes, the wait times shown in the app or on the park’s screens are generally accurate. They’re often equal to or slightly longer than the real wait, which helps you plan your day better.

09 Does wind close rides at Disneyland Paris?

Yes. In strong winds, a handful of high outdoor rides may shut down for a while to keep guests safe. Most rides, being indoors or low to the ground, keep running normally.

10 At what age or height can you use Rider Switch?

Rider Switch isn’t based on age but on your child’s height compared with the ride’s requirement. As soon as your child is too short for a ride’s minimum height, you can use it: one parent stays with the child while the other rides, then you swap without waiting in line again. You’ll find the required heights in the Disneyland Paris height requirements.

11 Does Phantom Manor, the haunted house, have an age limit?

No, Phantom Manor has no minimum age or height requirement: everyone can ride. It’s a gentle, dark ride with a mysterious mood, but there’s nothing really scary and no big thrills. Little ones who are sensitive to the dark may find it a bit intimidating, so it’s your call.

12 Babies on rides: what height do they need?

Babies have no minimum height: they can ride all the gentle attractions. For thrill rides they’re too small for, use Rider Switch (one parent rides while the other stays with the baby, then you swap without waiting in line again). Beyond that, height requirements vary by ride (often starting at 102 cm, 120 cm, or 140 cm): the details are in the Disneyland Paris height requirements.

13 How long does a ride closure last at Disneyland Paris?

It depends on the kind of work. Routine maintenance takes anywhere from a few days to a few weeks. A major renovation stretches over several months, often four to six. For long closures, Disney sometimes announces the reopening date late in the game.

Shows & Parades

See the whole topic →
01 What is the daytime parade at Disneyland Paris in 2026?

The daytime parade is called Disney Stars on Parade, and it takes place at Disneyland Park. A seasonal parade can be added to it (and sometimes replaces it) at Halloween and Christmas. I go over the best viewing spots in my dedicated article.

02 Which Christmas parade runs at Disneyland Paris?

Mickey’s Dazzling Christmas Parade!, at Disneyland Park, from November 7 to January 6. It has two performances a day, including a lit-up evening version that I absolutely love. I share the best spots in my dedicated article.

03 How does the paid premium viewing area for parades work?

It’s a reserved area near the castle that you buy in the Disneyland Paris app (under Buy, then Shows and Parades). The price depends on the date, around €20 per person (free for kids under 3). There’s no seating, and you need to be there at least 10 minutes before showtime.

04 What is the nighttime show at Disneyland Park?

Right now it’s Disney Tales of Magic, which plays out on Sleeping Beauty Castle and along Main Street U.S.A. The show lasts roughly 20 minutes and starts when the park closes. My dedicated article walks through every place you can watch from.

05 What is the nighttime show at Disney Adventure World?

The current nighttime show is Disney Cascade of Lights, performed on Adventure Bay lake. It runs about 17 minutes at park closing, with projections, fountains, drones, and pyrotechnics. I share the best spots around the lake in my dedicated article.

06 Which stage shows are playing at Disneyland Paris in 2026?

In 2026, 7 major stage shows are on the schedule: Mickey’s PhilharMagic, The Lion King: Rhythms of the Pride Lands, Animation Academy, Mickey and the Magician, Minnie’s Dream Factory, Stitch Live!, and TOGETHER: a Pixar Musical Adventure. They play in air-conditioned theaters at Disneyland Park and Disney Adventure World, with several performances a day.

07 Guaranteed Access for €15: what is it, and which shows are eligible?

It’s a paid service that guarantees you a seat in the theater without waiting in line, for €15 per person (one price for everyone ages 3 and up). You book it in the Disneyland Paris app for the eligible shows: The Lion King: Rhythms of the Pride Lands, Mickey and the Magician, and TOGETHER: a Pixar Musical Adventure. You need a valid park ticket, and it’s in your name. Arrive 15 to 20 minutes early.

08 How can you check the day’s schedule for shows and parades?

In the Disneyland Paris app (under Today in the Park) or on my blog. Showtimes change every day depending on the season and crowds, so I recommend checking that same morning.

09 Are shows and parades included with your ticket?

Yes, all daytime shows, parades, and nighttime shows (Disney Tales of Magic and Disney Cascade of Lights) are included in the ticket price, in the free viewing areas. The only optional extras are the paid premium viewing spot (a reserved spot closer to the stage) and Guaranteed Access to a theater show, both sold in the Disneyland Paris app.

10 Are there viewing areas for guests with reduced mobility at the nighttime shows?

Yes, each park has a viewing area for guests with reduced mobility, open to holders of the Disney priority card. The guest concerned can bring up to two companions. Ask at the park entrance or at City Hall for the exact location on the day itself.

11 Is the nighttime show loud?

The fireworks noise stays very limited and usually doesn’t bother people who are sensitive to that kind of sound. The music, on the other hand, can be a bit loud, especially for babies and young children. For them, I recommend noise-canceling headphones or ear protection.

12 Which shows get canceled in high winds at Disneyland Paris?

Shows that rely on tall elements are hit first: the evening fireworks and drone show, the cavalcades with large floats, and some street entertainment. Indoor shows aren’t affected by the wind.

13 Do the fireworks go ahead in high winds?

Not always. The nighttime show can be canceled at the last minute if the wind goes over the safety limit. The call is made that same evening, so ask at the entrance or check with a Cast Member.

14 Do you need a reservation or have to pay extra to see Miguel’s Fiesta Latina?

No. You can watch the show freely, with no booking and no extra charge: it’s included with your park ticket. Just be there when the performance starts.

15 What time does the show take place?

Several performances are scheduled every day, but the times vary depending on the season. The easiest way is to check today’s showtimes listed on this page, or the park’s show schedule when you arrive.

16 What’s the best spot to watch the show from?

The show takes place on Adventure Way, under the gazebo, at Disney Adventure World. Stand facing the gazebo a few minutes before it starts. Since you watch it standing up, get there a bit early at busy times if you want to be up front.

17 Is the show good for kids?

Yes. It’s a festive, colorful musical show with no scary effects, so it suits every age, including the youngest. Its short format makes it an ideal family break between two rides.

18 How long does the show run?

It’s a short performance, best enjoyed as a break of a few minutes. Since there are several performances during the day, pick the one that fits your plans best.

01 How do you meet Disney characters at Disneyland Paris?

There are four main ways to meet a character: in the park by waiting in a regular standby line, at dedicated spots with a virtual queue in the Disneyland Paris app, at a character meal (character dining), or at some official Disney hotels. If you can’t get a meet and greet, you’ll still see the characters in the parades and shows.

02 How does a meet and greet with a regular standby line work in the park?

Find where the meet and greet takes place (shown in the Disneyland Paris app and in the daily Program), then get in line on the spot. The wait time depends on the character and the time of day. Once it’s your turn, you get a few moments for a photo and an autograph.

03 What’s a virtual queue character meet, and how does it work?

For some very popular meet and greets (princesses, Marvel heroes at Avengers Campus...), you don’t wait in a physical line. You grab a time slot in the Disneyland Paris app ahead of time, then come back at the time shown. The system is free, but slots go fast. I recommend trying as soon as the park opens.

04 How does a character meal (character dining) work?

You book a restaurant where characters stop by your table during the meal. Each visit comes with a photo and an autograph. Booking is highly recommended, sometimes several weeks ahead. You’ll find prices and the full list in my Restaurants FAQ and in my dedicated article.

05 Which Disney hotels offer character meet and greets?

Almost all of them. The Disneyland Hotel, Disney Hotel New York - The Art of Marvel, Newport Bay Club, Sequoia Lodge, Disney Hotel Cheyenne, and Disney Hotel Santa Fe all offer meet and greets, in the lobby or near the front desk, usually just for hotel guests. Only Disney’s Davy Crockett Ranch has none. The schedules vary by hotel and by season, so ask at the front desk as soon as you arrive.

06 Where can I still see my favorite characters if a meet and greet isn’t possible for me?

All the characters appear in the parades and shows, which are free and included with your ticket. You can also spot them during the occasional musical moments in Central Plaza or in some of the lands. See my Shows & Parades FAQ for details.

07 How can I tell which characters will be around on the day I go?

In the Disneyland Paris app (in the "Today in the park" or "Characters" section) and on my blog. The schedule changes every day, and some meet and greets are only announced that same morning.

08 Do you need a reservation to meet a character?

It depends on the format. For a regular standby line: no, just show up. For a virtual queue: yes, you need to grab a time slot in the Disneyland Paris app. For character dining: yes, booking is highly recommended. For hotel meet and greets: no, they’re usually included for hotel guests.

09 What’s a Disneyland Paris Magic Shot?

A Magic Shot is a photo effect from the Disney PhotoPass service, not an in-person meet and greet. A Disney photographer snaps your picture at a specific spot, then a character (Mickey, Stitch, Olaf...) or an effect is added to the image by computer. You’ll find the result in your PhotoPass account. It’s quick, there’s no line, and it’s a fun way to take home a one-of-a-kind souvenir.

10 What time do character meet and greets start?

The first meet and greets usually begin right at park opening, around 9:30-10:00 depending on the character. Some happen only in the morning, others only in the afternoon, and some in both time slots. The exact times change every day, and you can look them up in the official Disneyland Paris app and on my blog.

11 Where can I find Mickey Mouse at Disneyland Paris?

You can meet Mickey at Meet Mickey, in Fantasyland, by booking through the official app. You can also see him through a regular standby line at Disney Adventure World, near the lake.

12 Which Disney characters can I meet at Disneyland Paris?

You can run into lots of iconic characters: Mickey, Minnie, Pluto, Goofy, the Disney Princesses, Stitch, Woody, Marvel heroes, The Mandalorian and Grogu, Anna and Elsa, and many more. The lineup changes with the seasons and special events.

13 Which Disney hotel has princess meet and greets?

Head to the Disneyland Hotel, the iconic hotel that sits at the gates of Disneyland Park, with a royal theme throughout. At its character restaurant, princesses stop by while you eat (reservations recommended). To find all the other places, check out my guide to meeting the princesses at Disneyland Paris.

01 What types of restaurants are there at Disneyland Paris?

At Disneyland Paris, you can choose from 5 main types of restaurants: table-service restaurants, character meals (character dining), all-you-can-eat buffets that are often themed, quick-service counters (Casey’s Corner, Café Hyperion, Stark Factory), and snack stands and kiosks for ice cream, waffles, and popcorn. Each restaurant is rated €, €€, €€€, or €€€€ to help you pick based on your budget. Counters and snack stands are open to walk-ins all day, while most table-service restaurants and all the buffets require a reservation.

02 Where can you find cheap eats in the Disneyland Paris parks?

To keep costs down, stick to the quick-service counters rated €. Casey’s Corner serves hot dogs on Main Street, Café Hyperion offers burgers and nuggets in Discoveryland, Colonel Hathi’s Pizza Outpost has pizza by the slice in Adventureland, and Cowboy Cookout Barbecue in Frontierland is still a good deal. Over at Disney Adventure World, Stark Factory and Super Diner remain affordable. Tip: Mobile Order in the app also lets you order at some counters without waiting in line. And for a little snack, a waffle, churros, or ice cream for €5-10 hits the spot.

03 How can I reserve a table at one of the Disneyland Paris restaurants?

There are four ways to book. The easiest is still the official Disneyland Paris app ("Dining" section), signed in to your Disney account. You can also call the reservation line at +33 1 60 30 40 50, use the official website through the Dining menu, or book in person at City Hall, Studio Services, or your Disney hotel’s concierge desk. Before you decide, I suggest you download my free file by email, which gathers every Disneyland Paris restaurant menu in one place. It makes choosing so much easier.

04 How early can I make a Disneyland Paris restaurant reservation?

The booking window depends on where you’re staying. If you’re at a Disney hotel, you can book up to 1 year ahead, as soon as your stay is confirmed. That’s a real advantage for very popular restaurants like Auberge de Cendrillon or the character buffets. If you’re coming for the day without a Disney hotel, you can book up to 2 months (60 days) ahead. You can reserve through the Disneyland Paris app, on the official website, or by phone at +33 1 60 30 40 50. My advice: book the moment the window opens for character dining and for weekend evenings or French school vacation evenings, or the time slots go fast.

05 Which restaurants require a reservation at Disneyland Paris?

Only table-service restaurants and buffets require a reservation. That includes iconic spots like Auberge de Cendrillon, Captain Jack’s, Silver Spur Steakhouse, Bistrot Chez Rémy, Plaza Gardens, Agrabah Café, Cape Cod, La Cantina, and PYM Kitchen. The quick-service counters (Casey’s Corner, Café Hyperion, Stark Factory, and others) and all the snack stands are walk-in, with no reservation needed. For character dining and the most popular buffets, I really recommend booking as soon as your booking window opens.

06 What is Mobile Order at Disneyland Paris restaurants, and where can I use it?

Mobile Order lets you order your meal ahead in the official Disneyland Paris mobile app and pick it up at the time you choose, without waiting in line. You sign in to the app, pick the restaurant and the time slot, choose your dishes, pay online (your annual pass discount code works), and get your pickup voucher by email. The 8 participating restaurants are: Au Chalet de la Marionnette (Fantasyland), Café Hyperion (Discoveryland), Casa de Coco (Frontierland), Casey’s Corner (Main Street), Cowboy Cookout Barbecue (Frontierland), Hakuna Matata (Adventureland), Last Chance Cafe (Frontierland), and The Hollywood Gardens Restaurant (World Premiere in Disney Adventure World). The service is free, but you can only order for the same day.

07 Which restaurants can you go to at Disney Village without a park ticket?

No park ticket is needed: Disney Village is open to everyone, and that includes its restaurants, roughly fifteen of them. If you want to sit down and be served, there’s Rosalie and Petite Rosalie (a French brasserie), The Steakhouse (Chicago-style grill), and The Royal Pub (British dishes). Billy Bob’s Country Western Saloon and La Grange at Billy Bob’s offer Tex-Mex buffets with a show-style atmosphere. Sports Bar is the relaxed option, while Rainforest Café plays up its jungle theme. Need something fast? McDonald’s, Earl of Sandwich, Five Guys, Starbucks Coffee, and Vapiano have you covered. Keep in mind that two places are off the list for now: Annette’s Diner shut for renovation in January 2026 (it should be back around 2027), and Casa Giulia, a new Italian restaurant where Planet Hollywood used to be, opens in late 2026. At Rosalie and The Steakhouse, reserve in advance, especially for dinner.

08 Can Disneyland Paris restaurants handle halal, kosher, or allergen-free needs?

Yes. On request, table-service and buffet restaurants can serve halal dishes and kosher meals. If you have allergies, every restaurant can give you a complete allergen list for each dish, and some dishes made without the major allergens are offered on site. On top of that, every restaurant has a vegetarian or vegan choice, at the very least.

09 Do kids under 3 need a meal plan?

No. Booking kids under 3 on a half-board or full-board meal plan isn’t required: they can eat free alongside parents who have one. The child price is only for kids ages 3 through 11.

10 What happens if I’m late for my reservation?

Restaurants generally allow roughly 15 minutes of leeway. Past that point, they may give your table away to other guests, and you lose the reservation. Running behind? Call the restaurant as early as you can.

01 Where can you buy Disney merchandise at Disneyland Paris?

There are four main places to shop: Disneyland Park (Main Street U.S.A. above all, plus every land), Disney Adventure World, Disney Village (open to everyone, no park ticket required), and, if you book an official Disney hotel, the shop inside your hotel. My dedicated article walks you through the main shops.

02 Can you shop at Disney Village without a park ticket?

Yes. Disney Village is free to enter, with no ticket and no checkpoint. You’ll find several Disney stores there, including the big World of Disney store, along with partner brands. It’s the best option if you only want to shop without paying for park admission.

03 Is there a way to shop without lugging bags around all day?

Yes. The Shopping Service lets you have your purchases sent to a pickup point, so you can collect them later at the same shop, at another shop on your way out of the park, or even at your Disney hotel’s shop. The service is free in most shops (with a minimum purchase). Just ask the cast member at checkout.

04 Is there any shopping near Disneyland Paris?

Yes, two spots in Serris. Val d’Europe shopping mall is a large indoor center with around 190 stores, a hypermarket, and restaurants. La Vallée Village is an outlet village with over 110 discounted designer stores. Both are just a few minutes from the resort.

05 Can I buy Starbucks Disneyland Paris mugs and tumblers?

Yes, every Starbucks sells collectible mugs and tumblers featuring the resort. The widest selection is at the Disney Village Starbucks. If you’re after a specific design that’s sold out there, it’s worth heading over to the Starbucks locations at the Disney Hotel Cheyenne and Hotel Santa Fe.

06 Can a Disneyland Paris gift card be refunded?

No, any balance loaded on it can’t be refunded. If the card is lost, stolen, or damaged, it won’t be replaced or refunded.

07 Where is a Disneyland Paris gift card accepted?

In the stores and restaurants of Disneyland Park and Disney Adventure World, and at World of Disney (Disney Village). You can also use it to pay on site for a Disneyland Pass or a Disneyland Pass evening ticket. At the ticket windows, it can even buy a same-day ticket, but only if there’s still availability, and often at a higher price than online: I wouldn’t count on it.

08 With a food allergy, am I allowed to bring my own meals into Disneyland Paris?

Yes. Disneyland Paris lets you bring in outside food and non-alcoholic drinks, which is a real help with allergies or a strict diet: that way you can make sure your child gets a completely safe meal. Pack it in a soft container, since glass, alcohol, and large hard-sided coolers aren’t allowed for safety reasons.

Accessibility

01 Is there a discounted ticket for guests with disabilities at Disneyland Paris?

Yes, Disneyland Paris offers a 25% discount on the day ticket for the guest with a disability, and the same discount applies to one companion. The discounted price covers 1, 2, 3, or 4-day tickets, for 1 or 2 parks. I recommend buying it ahead of your visit, since you can’t book it on site on the day itself. I go over the accepted documents in the next question.

02 What proof is accepted for a disability (PSH) ticket at Disneyland Paris?

To get the 25% discounted price, you need to show one of these documents, currently valid: the CMI (France’s official disability card) marked for disability or priority, the European parking card for people with disabilities, an MDPH or MDA notice confirming the disability, or a certificate of military disability pension. Important: the RQTH (France’s recognition of disabled worker status) on its own isn’t accepted for this price. Also remember to bring a valid photo ID to the park entrance.

03 Where and when should I buy a disability (PSH/PMR) ticket for Disneyland Paris?

The disability ticket (PSH/PMR) is bought online and in advance, on the official Disneyland Paris website or through the dedicated disability phone line. At the park gates, buying it on the day is only possible if you pay in cash, with French vacation vouchers, or with a gift card, and if there’s still availability that day: the discount is then applied when you show your valid proof. I wouldn’t count on it, since the park can sell out and the standard price is used as the base, often higher than online. So plan your booking ahead with your proof (CMI, MDPH notice, etc.) and keep it safe: you’ll be asked for it at the entrance, along with a photo ID.

04 How and where can I collect my Priority Card at Disneyland Paris?

You have two options. Option 1 (recommended), online: you fill in the dedicated form on the official Disneyland Paris website in several steps (checking your disability documents, entering your visit date, a questionnaire about how independent you are, your contact details, and uploading a digital ID photo), then you get a confirmation email. On the day, you simply pick up your card at City Hall (Disneyland Park), at Studio Services (Disney Adventure World), or at the concierge desk of your Disney hotel. Option 2 (not the best choice), everything on site at City Hall, Studio Services, or your Disney hotel’s concierge desk: you can do it all on the day with your proof and an ID photo, but the process takes noticeably longer, so I don’t recommend it. Important: your card is valid for 6 days. If you postpone or cancel your trip, you’ll need to submit a new request with the new date. Have your digital ID photo and your proof (the valid original) ready before you start.

05 Which Disneyland Paris rides can’t you do while pregnant?

About thirty rides are either not recommended or not allowed for pregnant visitors. They include rides with harnesses or seat belts (Autopia, Star Tours, Star Wars Hyperspace Mountain), rides with sudden stops, emergency stops included (Big Thunder Mountain, Blanche-Neige et les Sept Nains, Casey Jr., Pinocchio), rides with inversions (Indiana Jones and the Temple of Peril, Avengers Assemble Flight Force), and rides with strong vibrations (Crush’s Coaster). The full, up-to-date list is on the official Disneyland Paris website and posted at the entrance of each ride.

06 Are there specific services for people with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) at Disneyland Paris?

Yes, Disneyland Paris offers several resources for people with autism spectrum disorder. A dedicated call center can be reached at +33 825 954 528 for any specific accessibility questions before your visit. Disneyland Paris also provides a detailed accessibility guide that rates each ride by noise level, smells, lighting, and special effects, which helps a lot when planning your day. I recommend reading this guide ahead of time to spot the most comfortable rides.

07 Are the Disney hotel pools accessible to guests with reduced mobility?

Disneyland Paris makes an effort to keep its facilities open to all guests. A few of the pools have equipment for guests with reduced mobility, such as access ramps or other specific devices. Before you go, I’d reach out to your hotel directly to talk through what you need and confirm which features it has.

08 Can the priority access wristband be used more than once a day?

Yes, it works from opening to closing. Show it at any ride or show that allows priority access, as often as you like: there’s no daily cap on how many times you use it.

09 Are hiking poles allowed in the parks as a walking aid?

Yes. Still, I suggest bringing simple, lightweight, foldable poles so you can stow them in your bag on the rides.

10 How do I book an accessible room for guests with reduced mobility at a Disney hotel?

Every Disney hotel has rooms adapted for guests with reduced mobility (accessible shower, extra space, accessible toilet). Each hotel only has a limited number, so book early, ideally several months ahead, especially during French school vacation or seasonal events. Booking is done by phone through the dedicated reservation line at +33 9 69 32 60 61 (local call rate) rather than on the website. Be sure to spell out your specific needs when you book.

11 How can a pregnant visitor get the priority wristband (nicknamed the "Thumper wristband")?

The priority wristband for pregnant visitors, nicknamed the "Thumper wristband" by Cast Members, is free. You can pick it up at City Hall, at Studio Services, or at the concierge desk of the Disney hotels. Bring a photo ID and a pregnancy medical certificate less than 3 months old, signed by a doctor, in French or English. The wristband gives priority (but not immediate) access to rides, shows, Character meet-and-greets, and the registers at restaurants and stores.

12 What’s the difference between the Priority Card and the Easy Access Card?

Disneyland Paris offers two separate cards. The Priority Card is for guests with a recognized disability (the CMI, France’s official disability card, a French invalidity card, or an MDPH decision from the French disability office): it gives priority access through a dedicated line and covers rides, shows, parades, Character meet-and-greets, and the registers at restaurants and stores. The Easy Access Card is for guests with one of the 30 recognized long-term conditions (ALD, a long-term condition recognized by the French health system): it doesn’t skip the line but works by appointment (a Cast Member gives you a return time), and it applies to rides and Character meet-and-greets. So the right card depends on your medical situation and the proof you can show. Full details are in the Priority Card and the Easy Access Card.

Transportation

See the whole topic →
01 How do you get to Disneyland Paris?

There are four main ways in: the train (direct TGV, OUIGO, or Eurostar), the RER A all the way to its last stop, Marne-la-Vallée Chessy, the car via the A4 highway (exit 14, Parcs Disney), or a flight into one of the Paris airports (CDG or Orly) followed by a shuttle. I go through each one in my dedicated articles.

02 Which train station serves Disneyland Paris (TGV, RER, OUIGO, Eurostar)?

There’s only one: Marne-la-Vallée Chessy. TGV, OUIGO, and Eurostar trains all stop there, and it’s also the last stop on the RER A. Depending on your train, you can get there without changing from Paris, CDG airport, Lille, Lyon, Marseille, or Brussels (coming from London means one change, in Lille or Paris).

03 How far is the walk from the station to the parks?

It’s roughly a 5-minute walk. Step off the train, cross Disney Village, and you’re at the security check for the parks. You won’t need a shuttle.

04 Where do I park if I’m driving?

The official Disney parking lot is right in front of the parks, about a 10-minute walk from the entrance. It’s the most convenient option. There are also alternative parking garages (Indigo in particular) near the RER station, usually cheaper.

05 Does the official Disney parking lot charge a fee?

Yes, Disney parking is charged by the day. The price depends on the type of vehicle (car, RV, motorcycle). It’s free for guests of the official Disney hotels and for annual passholders (all tiers), except on blockout days (the Gold tier, for its part, gets it all year round, with no blocked days). Current prices are in the Disneyland Paris app or on arrival.

06 Which shuttle can you take from CDG or Orly airport?

Several options: the Magical Shuttle bus (paid, serves the Disney hotels), the RER B then RER A with a change at Châtelet-Les Halles, or a direct TGV from CDG (the fastest). I go over prices and travel times in my dedicated article.

07 Are there shuttles between the Disney hotels and the parks?

Yes, free shuttles serve most of the official Disney hotels. Some hotels are also within walking distance (Disneyland Hotel, Hotel New York, Newport Bay Club, Sequoia Lodge). The Davy Crockett Ranch has no shuttle, so you really need a car there (its guests get free parking at the parks). You’ll find the schedule at the hotel front desk or in the Disneyland Paris app.

08 What exactly is the Disney Express service?

Disney Express is a luggage delivery service between Marne-la-Vallée Chessy station and your hotel. When you arrive, you drop your suitcases at the counter (one floor up in the station), check in to your hotel right there, and head off with your park tickets. Your luggage is delivered to your hotel. When you leave, your suitcases travel from the hotel to the station. The service has a fee (plan on €18 per person), must be booked in advance, and is for guests of Disney hotels and Partner Hotels (except Davy Crockett Ranch and Center Parcs Villages Nature). Full details are in my article on luggage storage.

09 Is there a train + hotel + ticket package for Disneyland Paris?

Yes, but not directly through the official Disneyland Paris website. Several partner travel agencies (online or brick-and-mortar) offer packages combining the train (TGV, Eurostar...), the hotel, and park tickets, sometimes with a half-board meal plan. Compare offers based on your dates and the number of people.

10 How can you get into Paris from Disneyland Paris?

Without any change, the RER A takes you from Marne-la-Vallée Chessy station into the center of Paris in roughly 35 to 40 minutes. That’s the simplest option if you want to spend a day of your trip seeing the capital.

11 Arriving by train: where do I drop my bags?

At Marne-la-Vallée/Chessy station, automatic lockers let you drop off your suitcases before heading into the parks. If you’re staying at a Disney hotel, its luggage storage is free, even before check-in. It’s all explained in luggage storage.

12 Is Disney Village parking free for Disney hotel guests?

No, the Indigo parking garage at Disney Village charges everyone by the hour (from €1 per 15 minutes, about €26 for 24 hours). The only free options are the first minute in the drop-off zone and the free hours you get with a movie theater ticket. That applies to Disney hotel guests too: their free parking covers their hotel’s parking lot and the Disneyland Paris visitor parking lot, but not the Indigo garage at Disney Village.

13 What time does the Disneyland Paris parking lot open and close?

Opening time is usually 8:00, ahead of park opening, and closing is generally 30 minutes after the last park shuts. As long as Disney Village is still open, you can get to the lot, which means you can pick up your car after eating dinner there. On event days or very crowded days, these hours can change.
