How to choose

The right land for your mood

Each land is a self-contained themed world: its setting, its background music, its restaurants, its shops, and its rides all tell the same story.

Once you understand how the lands work, you can plan a route that is sensible and easy on your feet: stringing together the rides in one land keeps you from zigzagging across the park. First time here? Kick off your morning in Fantasyland, ahead of the crowds, and carry on one theme at a time.

Disneyland ParkThe 5 lands of the original park

With the castle at its center, Disneyland Park is laid out in 5 themed areas: Main Street U.S.A. (the turn-of-the-century shopping street at the entrance), Fantasyland (fairy tales and storybook charm), Frontierland (the Wild West and Big Thunder Mountain), Adventureland (jungle and pirates), and Discoveryland (inventions and Star Wars).

Disney Adventure WorldThe 5 lands of the second park

The second park leans on big franchises and adventure: World Premiere Plaza (the entrance and central square), Worlds of Pixar (Ratatouille, Crush’s Coaster), Avengers Campus (Marvel), World of Frozen (the new Frozen land), and Adventure Way (the lake, Rapunzel, and Up). Expect a more contemporary feel, geared toward thrills and shows.

In what order should you visit the lands?

My method: at Disneyland Park, walk through Main Street U.S.A. quickly in the morning (you’ll be back), hurry to Fantasyland, then around lunchtime and early afternoon head to Adventureland and Frontierland. After that, go back to Main Street U.S.A., and at the end of the day move on to Discoveryland.

Which land for which age?

Little ones (ages 0-5): Fantasyland (carousel, Dumbo, small world). Kids (ages 6-10): Adventureland, Worlds of Pixar, World of Frozen, Frontierland, Adventure Way. Teens and adults: Discoveryland (Hyperspace Mountain), Avengers Campus.

Frequently asked questions

Your questions, my answers

The questions that land most often in my emails and DMs. Answers with real numbers, double-checked and tested on site.

01 What are the lands at Disneyland Park, and how many attractions does each one have?

Disneyland Park is divided into 5 themed lands. Main Street U.S.A. has 5 experiences, including rides in vintage vehicles and the covered arcades. Adventureland brings together 7 attractions, including Pirates of the Caribbean, Indiana Jones and the Temple of Peril, La Cabane des Robinson, and Le Passage Enchanté d’Aladdin. Discoveryland lines up 6 futuristic attractions such as Star Wars Hyperspace Mountain, Star Tours, and Buzz Lightyear Laser Blast. Fantasyland is the densest, with 13 attractions devoted to the world of fairy tales, including Sleeping Beauty Castle and La Tanière du Dragon. Frontierland offers 6 Wild West attractions, including Big Thunder Mountain and Phantom Manor.

02 What are the lands at Disney Adventure World (formerly Walt Disney Studios Park) after the transformation?

Disney Adventure World, which replaces the former Walt Disney Studios Park, is now divided into 6 lands. World Premiere Plaza (2 rides) has Tower of Terror, Les Tapis Volants, and the World Premiere hub. Avengers Campus (2 rides) brings together Avengers Assemble: Flight Force and Spider-Man W.E.B. Adventure. Worlds of Pixar (7 rides) is home to Crush’s Coaster, Ratatouille, RC Racer, Cars Quatre Roues Rallye, Cars ROAD TRIP, Slinky Dog Zigzag Spin, and Toy Soldiers Parachute Drop. World of Frozen (just one ride for now), which opened on March 29, 2026, features Frozen Ever After. Adventure Way (1 ride) is where you’ll find Raiponce Tangled Spin.

03 What types of tickets are there for Disneyland Paris?

Disneyland Paris sells quite a few kinds of tickets, and I know it’s easy to feel lost when planning a first trip. Here’s the 2026 lineup. Bon Plan tickets are the cheapest, but supply is limited. Dated 1-park or 2-park tickets work on one specific date. Undated 1-park or 2-park tickets let you set the date later, though they can’t be used on July 14, October 31, or December 31. Then there are multi-day tickets (2 to 4 days) and Special Offer tickets such as the Tribu ticket. Group tickets start at 20 people. Friends Tickets are only for annual passholders. Halloween and New Year’s Eve no longer have their own "evening" ticket: the nights of October 31 and December 31 come with that day’s dated ticket. Annual passholder evenings, however, still go on. And last, there are the annual passes themselves. Every ticket comes with its own rules and its own price.

04 How much does a Disneyland Paris vacation cost?

The price of a stay varies a lot depending on the hotel you pick. For a 2-day, 1-night stay for 2 adults and 2 kids with park tickets included, expect about €600 at the cheapest official Disney hotel and up to €1,100 at the most upscale one. On top of that, you need to add meals: the amount depends on the type of restaurant, but I recommend budgeting at least €300 for breakfast, lunch, afternoon snack, and dinner over the 2 days. All in all, plan on €900 to €1,400 for this kind of trip. For a single day only, the 1-day 1-park ticket starts at €49 per adult with a Bon Plan ticket: in that case, plan a budget of at least about €400 for a one-day visit for 2 adults and 2 kids, meals included.

05 Is the official Disneyland Paris app essential?

Yes, I consider it a basic tool these days. It shows wait times in real time, show and parade times, and lets you book table-service restaurants, manage your tickets, and buy Premier Access. Be sure to download it and sign in to your Disney account before you arrive, since the network can get overloaded on some days.
