Want to know which ride goes the fastest, which one is the tallest, or which one lasts the longest? Here are the numbers for the rides at Disneyland Paris, checked and ranked by category.
The short version: Avengers Assemble: Flight Force wins on speed, reaching 92 km/h. The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror wins on height, at 55 m. For duration, nothing beats a ride around the park aboard the Disneyland Railroad (about twenty minutes), followed by a cruise on the Thunder Mesa Riverboat (~15 minutes) and then Pirates of the Caribbean (a little over 10 minutes).
A quick note on my method first. I keep thrill rides and buildings clearly apart. Sleeping Beauty Castle tops out at about 45 m, which makes it the tallest landmark in Disneyland Park, but it isn’t a ride. I also rank Tower of Terror separately from the roller coasters: it’s a drop tower, not a coaster.
One last thing: I go by the new official names. Disney Adventure World used to be Walt Disney Studios, and Hyperspace Mountain used to be Space Mountain.
The fastest rides
The fastest ride at Disneyland Paris is Avengers Assemble: Flight Force, which hits 92 km/h. Next comes Hyperspace Mountain, at 71 km/h, the fastest roller coaster in the original park, followed by RC Racer (about 68 km/h) and Big Thunder Mountain (65 km/h).
Tower of Terror also makes this list: its controlled drop reaches about 49 km/h, with acceleration stronger than gravity. That’s slower than the top coasters, but it feels completely different, since you’re falling straight down.
| Ride | Land | Speed (km/h) |
|---|---|---|
| Avengers Assemble: Flight Force | Avengers Campus | 92 km/h |
| Star Wars Hyperspace Mountain | Discoveryland | 71 km/h |
| RC Racer | Worlds of Pixar | 68 km/h |
| Big Thunder Mountain | Frontierland | 65 km/h |
| Crush’s Coaster | Worlds of Pixar | 61 km/h |
| Indiana Jones and the Temple of Peril | Adventureland | 58 km/h |
| The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror | World Premiere Plaza | 49 km/h |

The tallest rides
At 55 m, The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror is the tallest ride at Disneyland Paris. That 55 m figure is the height of its main structure. The drop itself covers less distance (roughly 38 m), since the rest is simply the part of the tower you see from outside. In second and third place are Hyperspace Mountain, at 32 m, and Toy Soldiers Parachute Drop, at 27 m.
People often get this one wrong. Sleeping Beauty Castle reaches roughly 45 m, so it beats every other building in the park, but you can’t ride it for thrills. Tower of Terror keeps the title of tallest ride.
| Ride | Land | Height (m) |
|---|---|---|
| The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror | World Premiere Plaza | 55 m |
| Star Wars Hyperspace Mountain | Discoveryland | 32 m |
| Toy Soldiers Parachute Drop | Worlds of Pixar | 27 m |
| RC Racer | Worlds of Pixar | 25 m |
| Avengers Assemble: Flight Force | Avengers Campus | 24 m |
| Big Thunder Mountain | Frontierland | 22 m |
| Indiana Jones and the Temple of Peril | Adventureland | 18 m |
| Crush’s Coaster | Worlds of Pixar | 15.5 m |

The longest: ride time and track length
The longest ride by duration is the full loop around the park on the Disneyland Railroad (about twenty minutes), ahead of the Thunder Mesa Riverboat cruise (around 15 minutes).
Among the big ride-through adventures, Pirates of the Caribbean is the longest, at just over 10 minutes. Right behind it, it’s a small world lasts about 9 minutes. These are story-driven rides, not thrill rides: you take your time.
For track length, Big Thunder Mountain leads with 1,205 m of track. It’s actually the longest version of Big Thunder anywhere in the world. Next are Hyperspace Mountain (1,000 m) and Flight Force (996 m).
And if you want a slow, easygoing outing, the Thunder Mesa Riverboat Landing takes about 15 minutes, while Alice’s Curious Labyrinth takes 15 to 30 minutes depending on your pace.
What’s the most intense ride?
If you go by the numbers alone, nothing in the park beats The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror for intensity. It stands taller than any other ride (55 m), and its controlled drop pulls you down faster than free fall would, a feeling you won’t get anywhere else. When readers ask me which ride scares people most, that’s my answer.
Depending on what you’re sensitive to, two other rides could take the crown. Phantom Manor unsettles you with mood and eeriness instead of speed. Hyperspace Mountain wins among the roller coasters, sending you through 3 loops in total darkness at 71 km/h.
Keep in mind that stats only go so far. Launch a coaster at 71 km/h in the dark and it often feels wilder than a 92 km/h ride out in the sunshine.

How many rides are there at Disneyland Paris?
Between them, the two parks offer roughly fifty rides: some in Disneyland Park, the original park that opened in 1992, and the rest in Disney Adventure World. That second park was Walt Disney Studios until its step-by-step makeover, and it reopened with its new name on March 29, 2026.
When it comes to going upside down, Hyperspace Mountain and Avengers Assemble: Flight Force share the resort record with 3 inversions each, while Indiana Jones and the Temple of Peril has just 1.
The oldest and the newest
Some rides go all the way back to opening day in 1992. Big Thunder Mountain, Phantom Manor, Pirates of the Caribbean, and Peter Pan’s Flight, for example, have been operating from the very start. Of all the roller coasters, Big Thunder Mountain has the longest run still going. My dad worked as a Cast Member when the park opened, which is why these rides mean so much to me.
The newest additions are in Disney Adventure World, the former Walt Disney Studios, which was reworked step by step before reopening with its new name on March 29, 2026. That’s where Frozen Ever After and Raiponce Tangled Spin now stand, in completely new themed areas, next to Cars Quatre Roues Rallye, which has been around since 2007 and now belongs to this new area.
Which ride is right for you?
These records say nothing about who can ride: some of these attractions have a minimum height. To plan your family visit, see the height requirements for each ride.
