Since 2022, Disneyland Paris has put on a number of drone shows, and they’re now a trademark of a night at the park.

Want to see drones right now? Quick answer: in 2026, Disney Cascade of Lights is the one drone show running daily. It plays each evening as the park closes, over the lake at Disney Adventure World (the second park, previously Walt Disney Studios). Since April 1, 2026, there have been no drones over the castle at Disneyland Park.

On this page, I go through every Disneyland Paris drone show, from the first one up to the current one. Shows from the past are clearly labeled as ended, along with their dates and what you got to see. I was fortunate to catch several of them in person, so I give you my honest take on those.

Since March 2026

Disney Cascade of Lights

The drone show running now: 379 drones in total, 279 in the air and 100 on the water, over the Disney Adventure World lake.

Disney D-Light (ended)

Status: ended. It ran from March 6, 2022, to September 30, 2023, above Sleeping Beauty Castle at Disneyland Park.

Disney D-Light is where the drone story began at Disneyland Paris. Worldwide, no Disney park had run a daily drone show before this one. It was designed to open the park’s 30th anniversary celebration as a pre-show lasting around 4 minutes, just ahead of the evening’s nighttime show.

Close to 200 drones, supplied by the French specialist company Dronisos, traced glowing shapes across the sky. The music was "Un monde qui s’illumine," recorded with a symphony orchestra at London’s Abbey Road Studios.

The original plan had it ending in April 2023, but it was extended through September 30, 2023, as part of the 30th anniversary grand finale. It was the first drone show I ever saw. When Mickey’s head appeared in the sky, it stayed with me, and I count it among the most beautiful pre-shows the park has ever put on.

Avengers: Power the Night (ended)

Status: ended. Performed over three seasons between January 28, 2023, and January 7, 2024, at the second park (then called Walt Disney Studios), in Production Courtyard near Avengers Campus, around the Tower of Terror.

Avengers: Power the Night was the first nighttime show at a Disney park devoted entirely to Marvel. It combined up to 500 drones (Dronisos), projections on the tower, pyrotechnics, and music, and lasted about 10 minutes. The drones formed the outlines of heroes like Iron Man, Captain America, Spider-Man, and Black Panther.

It ran in several sessions: a first season from January 28 to May 8, 2023, a fall return from September 1 to November 5, 2023 (a revised version), then a holiday season from December 1, 2023, to January 7, 2024.

I’m not a huge Marvel fan to begin with, but the show really impressed me: coordinating 500 drones with pyrotechnics over such a tight space was a real technical feat.

Disney Electrical Sky Parade (ended)

Status: ended. Performed from January 8, 2024, to January 6, 2025, at Disneyland Park, over the castle.

Disney Electrical Sky Parade was a nighttime pre-show of about 8 minutes, held roughly ten minutes before park closing.

It opened the Disney Symphony of Colours program as its first chapter and honored the Main Street Electrical Parade (1992-2003). Rather than floats rolling down the street, roughly 500 drones rebuilt the parade’s lit-up scenes overhead (the Blue Fairy, Pinocchio, Alice, Cinderella, Elliott the dragon…), all to the original parade’s electronic soundtrack.

Another first for any Disney park worldwide, on the technical side: certain drones carried their own pyrotechnics into the sky. Ben Spalding produced the show, and Dronisos supplied the drones.

Drones at Disneyland Paris today

The drone show running now: Disney Cascade of Lights. It premiered on March 29, 2026, and since April 1, 2026, no other drone show plays daily anywhere at the resort (both parks included). You’ll find it every night over the Adventure Bay lake at Disney Adventure World (the second park, previously Walt Disney Studios Park). Its fleet of 279 aerial drones and 100 water drones (379 in all) flies just above the surface, a world first from Dronisos. Show details and the best places to watch are in its own article: Disney Cascade of Lights.

What about the castle? Disney Tales of Magic featured drones from January 2025 until April 1, 2026, then went on without them (the drones were moved over to Disney Adventure World). That means Disneyland Paris now offers two big nighttime shows each evening, one per park: see the guide to the nighttime shows.

Good to know: every so often, the park has held special drone shows that weren’t part of its regular lineup (one example: an Avatar-themed show in December 2025). Don’t mix those up with the show that runs every day.

A special drone show on New Year’s Eve

New for 2026: on top of the daily Disney Cascade of Lights show, on the evening of December 31, Disney Adventure World puts on a drone show (weather permitting) and pyrotechnics over World of Frozen, the Arendelle land, to ring in the new year at midnight.

This event is specific to New Year’s Eve, so don’t confuse it with Cascade of Lights, which plays every night on the lake. Over at Disneyland Park, the midnight fireworks above the Castle are still on: each park has its own celebration.

What’s next?

In 2026, Disney Cascade of Lights remains the drone show to see.

The new addition is a New Year’s Eve drone show (weather permitting) paired with pyrotechnics at Disney Adventure World, above World of Frozen (more on that above). Apart from that night, nothing else permanent involving drones has been announced yet. As soon as there’s official news, I’ll update this page.

Frequently asked questions

01 Can the drone show be canceled because of the weather?

Yes. The drones don’t fly when the wind is too strong, and the show may then run without them or be canceled. Rain can also disrupt it. Your safest bet is to check the day’s program in the official app before planning your evening around the show.

02 Does Disneyland Paris have a new drone show in the works?

So far, no permanent new drone show has been announced. Every now and then the park stages special drone shows (an Avatar show in December 2025, for example), which are separate from the nightly show.

03 Are there still drones in the nighttime show in 2026?

At the castle, no: since April 1, 2026, Disney Tales of Magic has been presented without drones, focusing on projections and pyrotechnics. To see drones, head to Disney Cascade of Lights at Disney Adventure World, with aerial drones and water drones skimming the surface.
