Your complete guide to Disneyland Paris meal plans

The Disneyland Paris meal plans change for arrivals from April 1, 2027. The new options are called Essential, Extra, Signature, and Royal. If you arrive by March 31, 2027, you still get the half-board or full-board meal plan. Here’s how the Disney meal plans work, what they cost, and how to tell whether one is worth it for your stay.

Disneyland Paris meal plans change for arrivals from April 1, 2027. I’ll walk you through the new plans first, then the ones that apply if you arrive by March 31, 2027.

Are you booking a stay at a Disney hotel and wondering how the meal plans work? These plans, which some people also call "meal vouchers," can be booked only with a hotel stay. Day visitors can’t get them.

A plan lets you organize your meals before you go, keep food spending predictable and, sometimes, pocket a few euros. Below, I go through it all: how the plans work and when they pay off.

What are the new meal plans from April 2027?

The new meal plans come in four options: Essential, Extra, Signature, and Royal. They apply to arrivals from April 1, 2027. What matters is your arrival date, not the date you book. The official guide is on Disneyland Paris’s Meal Plans page (in French).

Under the new system, Disney drops the labels "half board" and "full board." If you add breakfast to 1 meal per night, you end up with what used to be half board. Add breakfast to 2 meals per night and it matches the old full board. The catch: breakfast is a separate booking and doesn’t come with the plan’s price.

Just like now, you buy the plan in advance, never on site. You put it together in three steps.

Timeline of Disneyland Paris meal plans: through March 31, 2027, the Standard, Plus, Extra Plus, and Premium options, then starting April 1, 2027, the Essential, Extra, Signature, and Royal options
Step 1

Number of meals

Pick either 1 meal per night (lunch or dinner) or 2 meals per night (lunch plus dinner). Only Disney hotels offer the 2-meal version. There’s no fixed day for your vouchers, and your checkout day counts too.

Step 2

The option

Staying anywhere but the Disneyland Hotel? Your choices are Essential, Extra, or Signature. Disneyland Hotel guests pick Signature or Royal. Each step up opens more restaurants to you.

Step 3

Breakfast, if you want it

It’s now optional and sold separately. If you book it early at your hotel, you pay up to 17% less than at the door. Parks and Disney Village breakfasts are another option, though not for Disneyland Hotel guests.

Essential, Extra, Signature, or Royal: what’s in each option?

How much do the new meal plans cost?

Here are the prices Disney has announced, per person per night. They’re current as of October 2026. A child pays half the adult price.

Breakfast is no longer part of the plan, unlike today’s half board and full board. To compare, add the cost of breakfast if you plan to have it.

For example, take 2 adults and 1 child staying 3 nights, Extra option, 2 meals each night. The total is €600, breakfast not included.

Option1 meal per night (adult / child)2 meals per night (adult / child)

✓: covered by this option for guests arriving from April 2027. At Disney hotel restaurants, it’s dinner only. Restaurants sometimes close, so check the page of each one.

Elsewhere in the parks and at the Disney hotels, any other restaurant will take your voucher too. When the bill is higher than the voucher, you cover the gap. Some Disney Village restaurants won’t take vouchers at all: McDonald’s, The Royal Pub, Starbucks, Earl of Sandwich, Five Guys, Brasserie Rosalie, Casa Giulia, and Vapiano.

At table-service restaurants, the voucher covers a set menu picked from a selection. That menu includes at least an appetizer and a main course, or a main course and a dessert. At buffet restaurants, it covers the all-you-can-eat buffet and a soft drink. At quick-service restaurants, you get a main dish, a side, and a soft drink. The kids’ menu adds a dessert.

My tip: once your stay is confirmed, reserve your tables right away through the app or the official site. Guests of partner hotels can reserve up to 2 months out.

Is character dining included from April 2027?

Character lunches and dinners come only with Royal. That option is limited to Disneyland Hotel guests, who also have Signature as a choice. On Royal, any of your meal vouchers works for a character lunch or dinner. That covers four restaurants: Auberge de Cendrillon, The Regal View Restaurant, Royal Banquet, and La Table de Lumière.

On Essential, Extra, or Signature, character meals aren’t covered. You’re still welcome to book one and pay the difference.

No option covers character breakfast. It’s an add-on you can buy for an extra fee while booking your stay, unless you went with breakfast in the parks or at Disney Village. Your hotel breakfast voucher also works for a character breakfast, and you pay the difference. In every case, you need a reservation ahead of time. My article on character dining has all the details.

How do the meal plans work until March 2027?

Whichever plan you pick, it works the same way: the number of meals matches the number of nights you book, and you spread your vouchers across your stay however you like. All three plans fit around your schedule and how much time you want to spend on meals.

PlanWhat’s included (per night)
BreakfastA buffet breakfast at your Disney hotel (a to-go meal basket at Davy Crockett Ranch)
Half boardBreakfast + one meal (lunch or dinner) at a participating restaurant
Full boardBreakfast + two meals a day, lunch and dinner, at restaurants on the plan

Per night of your stay, here’s what you get with each plan

What’s the difference between Standard, Plus, Extra Plus, and Premium?

If you arrive by March 31, 2027, half board and full board come in four versions: Standard and Plus, then Extra Plus and Premium. Breakfast only is one single plan with no versions. Which one you get depends on your hotel: the fancier the hotel, the longer the list of restaurants. From April 2027, they’re replaced by Essential, Extra, Signature, and Royal.

OptionHotelsWhat it includes
StandardDavy Crockett Ranch, Santa FeBreakfast + meals at a set list of restaurants. Offered as half board or full board.
PlusCheyenne, Sequoia Lodge, Newport Bay Club, New York - The Art of Marvel. Davy Crockett Ranch and Santa Fe too, full board only.More restaurants to pick from than Standard. Offered as half board or full board, except at Davy Crockett Ranch and Santa Fe, where it’s full board only.
Extra PlusAll hotels except the Disneyland HotelComes only as full board. You get one character meal per stay, plus an afternoon snack and a drink each night.
PremiumDisneyland Hotel onlyThe widest selection, character meals included. Available with half board and full board.

Options available by hotel and plan

How do you use your meal vouchers at a restaurant?

At check-in, your meal vouchers get loaded onto your MagicPass (the stay card the hotel gives you). When it’s time to pay at a restaurant, you simply hand over your MagicPass at the register.

No voucher is tied to a particular day. Feel free to use them whenever you like during your stay, as long as you stay within your total before you check out. Two vouchers in one day? No problem.

Good to know: a meal plan also lets you eat at a restaurant that isn’t on the plan, as long as you cover the gap between the bill and your voucher.

If you arrive from April 1, 2027, nothing changes on this point.

Meal plan prices for arrivals through March 2027

If you arrive by March 31, 2027, what you pay comes down to your plan and your option. The cheapest is breakfast only, and the priciest is Premium full board. Below are the numbers for each person, for each night. Arriving from April 2027? Scroll back up to the new meal plan prices.

How much does half board cost at Disneyland Paris?

With half board, you get breakfast and one meal each night. The higher the option (Standard, Plus, Premium), the higher the price. You can’t get Extra Plus as half board. Standard runs €55 for each adult, each night.

OptionAdultChild
Standard€55€35
Plus€65€40
Extra PlusNot availableNot available
Premium€135€75

How much does full board cost at Disneyland Paris?

Full board includes breakfast plus two meals per night. It comes with all four options, Extra Plus included. Expect €75 per adult per night for Standard, and up to €245 for Premium.

OptionAdultChild
Standard€75€45
Plus€115€60
Extra Plus€150€80

How much does breakfast only cost?

Each hotel sets its own price for the breakfast-only plan. You pay the same as you would at the restaurant door, so there’s no saving at all. For arrivals from April 2027, that’s different: booking breakfast at your hotel early knocks up to 17% off the walk-in price. For the full picture, see my article on breakfast at Disneyland Paris.

Disneyland Hotel€45€36
New York - The Art of Marvel€32€26

Davy Crockett Ranch€14€14

Breakfast only, by hotel: cost for each person and night if you arrive by March 31, 2027

Is the meal plan worth it?

Each plan is a different story. Go with breakfast only and there’s zero saving, since you pay exactly what the restaurant charges at the door. For arrivals from April 2027, that’s no longer true: book breakfast at your hotel early and you get up to 17% off the walk-in price.

For half board and full board, it all comes down to which restaurants you pick. They can pay for themselves if you’re aiming for all-you-can-eat buffet restaurants or table-service restaurants, with full appetizer, main course, and dessert meals. On the other hand, if you mostly eat at quick-service spots or have light meals, the plan may end up costing you more than paying as you go. Run the same math with the new plans.

Here’s what I suggest: ahead of your trip, check the menus and prices at the restaurants on your list, then work out what you’d pay with a plan and without one. On a tight budget? My guide to eating on a budget at Disneyland Paris is worth a look too.

Cost comparison for one adult and 2 nights at the Newport Bay Club: the Plus half-board meal plan works out to €130, versus €160 for the same meals paid on site, so you save €30. If two of those meals are at quick-service restaurants, the plan costs €34 more.
Comparison (in French) for a 2-night stay at the Newport Bay Club: Plus half board or the same meals paid for on site.

How I make a meal plan pay off

  • Check what the restaurants on your list charge.
  • Go for all-you-can-eat buffet restaurants or table-service restaurants, which often cost more than quick-service spots.
  • Always order the fullest set menu your plan covers.
  • Book your restaurants ahead to make sure you get a table: I explain how in how to book a restaurant.

Which meal plan should you choose for your travel style?

The table below applies if you arrive by March 31, 2027. For an arrival in April 2027 or later, see what each new option includes.

OptionWho is it for?
StandardTight budgets, short stays, simple meals.
PlusFamilies and stays of 2 to 4 days, for a good balance between price and choice.
Extra PlusTravelers who want a character meal and an afternoon snack included, with full board, and who like to treat themselves at mealtimes.
PremiumTravelers who want the character dining restaurants and a high-end stay.

Which type of traveler each option suits best

Pros and cons

Pros

  • A budget under control: you know ahead of time how much you’ll spend on meals.
  • Saves time once you’re there.
  • Peace of mind during your stay.
  • Possible savings, depending on the restaurants and menus you pick.
  • Freedom to try a restaurant that isn’t on the plan: you just cover the gap between the bill and your voucher.

Cons

  • Some homework up front to check that a plan makes sense for you.
  • You still have to book your restaurants in advance.
  • Harder to switch things up once you’re there.
  • Hotel guests only: a park ticket by itself won’t get you one.

Which restaurants accept your meal plan until March 2027?

Breakfast is served at your Disney hotel. A few park and Disney Village restaurants that serve breakfast also take your voucher, up to its value.

At lunch and dinner, every restaurant in both parks (Disneyland Park and Disney Adventure World) is an option, along with every Disney hotel restaurant and some Disney Village spots. The main ones are listed below by category. My guide to the best restaurants at Disneyland Paris covers them in depth. Arriving from April 2027? Go back up to the restaurants on the new meal plans.

  • La Cantina (Santa Fe)
  • Chuck Wagon Café (Cheyenne)
  • Cape Cod (Newport Bay Club)
  • Hunter’s Grill and Beaver Creek Tavern (Sequoia Lodge)
  • Downtown Restaurant (New York - The Art of Marvel)
  • La Table de Lumière (Disneyland Hotel, Premium option only) and Royal Banquet (Disneyland Hotel, Premium and Extra Plus options)
  • Manhattan Restaurant (New York - The Art of Marvel)
  • Yacht Club (Newport Bay Club)
  • Plaza Gardens Restaurant
  • Agrabah Café
  • PYM Kitchen
  • Captain Jack’s, Restaurant des Pirates
  • Silver Spur Steakhouse
  • Walt’s, An American Restaurant
  • Bistrot Chez Rémy

At Disney Village, a few restaurants take the meal plans, including The Steakhouse and La Grange at Billy Bob’s. With the Village under construction, several places are closed or being redone: be sure to check what’s open right now before you book.

Quick-service spots and afternoon snacks

You can also use the plans at most quick-service counters and snack stands in the parks, such as Casey’s Corner, Cowboy Cookout Barbecue, Pizzeria Bella Notte, or Toad Hall. With Extra Plus, you grab your afternoon snack at most of the park’s snack spots (ice cream stands, pastry shops, cafés) and at a few restaurants. Disneyland Paris keeps the complete, current list on its official website.

Is character dining included?

You only get character meals on Extra Plus (one per stay) and Premium (as many as your vouchers cover). Standard and Plus don’t include them, though a voucher plus an extra fee gets you in. These meals take place at Auberge de Cendrillon, The Regal View Restaurant, Royal Banquet, and La Table de Lumière, the last two being inside the Disneyland Hotel. Starting with April 2027 arrivals, character lunches and dinners come only with Royal, an option limited to Disneyland Hotel guests. For all the details, see character dining.

Good to know

For arrivals from April 2027, the new meal plan guide is silent on the following points.

  • Any meals left over when your stay ends are gone, with no refund.
  • Annual passholder and shareholder discounts don’t apply to meal plans.
  • There’s no plan for kids under 3: they share your plate, or you buy them a meal on site.
  • The child price applies to kids ages 3 through 11.
  • Everyone sharing the room gets the same plan, from the first night to the last.

Frequently asked questions

01 What’s changing with the meal plans starting in April 2027?

For arrivals from April 1, 2027, a new lineup replaces half board and full board. You pick 1 or 2 meals per night, then a tier. At every hotel except the Disneyland Hotel, you can choose freely between Essential, Extra, and Signature. If you’re staying at the Disneyland Hotel, you choose between Signature and Royal. Only the Royal tier includes character lunches and dinners. Breakfast is no longer part of the plan and isn’t required. Expect €32 to €170 per adult per night, not counting breakfast.

02 How much are the meal plans at Disneyland Paris?

If you arrive by March 31, 2027, plan on €55 (Standard half-board meal plan) up to €245 (Premium full-board meal plan) for each adult and each night, breakfast included. What you pay comes down to the plan you pick (breakfast only, half board, or full board) and its tier (Standard, Plus, Extra Plus, Premium). Kids ages 3 to 11 get a lower rate. If you arrive on or after April 1, 2027, the new plans run €32 to €170 per adult per night, and kids pay half the adult rate. Breakfast stops being part of the plan. So to compare with half board, add on the cost of breakfast if you’ll be eating it.

03 What’s the difference between the Standard, Plus, Extra Plus, and Premium dining options?

Right now there are four options for arrivals up to March 31, 2027, and your hotel determines which one applies. Standard is for Davy Crockett Ranch and the Santa Fe. Plus is for the Cheyenne, Sequoia Lodge, Newport Bay Club, and New York - The Art of Marvel. Each one opens up a set of restaurants, and the higher the tier, the bigger the choice. Extra Plus (every hotel but the Disneyland Hotel, with a full-board meal plan) gives you one character meal per stay. On top of that, you get an afternoon snack and a drink each night. Premium (only at the Disneyland Hotel) covers character meals, as many as your vouchers allow. Arrivals starting April 1, 2027, will switch to Essential, Extra, Signature, and Royal instead.

04 Does the meal plan include character meals?

If you arrive by March 31, 2027, character meals come included only with Extra Plus (one meal per stay) and Premium (as many as your coupons cover). Standard and Plus don’t include them, though you can trade in a coupon and pay a supplement. If you arrive on or after April 1, 2027, the Royal option is the only one covering character lunches and dinners, and it’s limited to Disneyland Hotel guests. With Essential, Extra, or Signature, booking them is still possible, you just pay the difference.

05 Can you use your annual pass discount on a meal plan?

No, for arrivals up to March 31, 2027. Meal plans aren’t eligible for annual pass discounts or shareholder discounts. For arrivals from April 2027 on, the official guide doesn’t say. Meal plans can also only be booked together with a hotel stay.

06 Do kids under 3 need a meal plan?

No. Booking kids under 3 on a half-board or full-board meal plan isn’t required: they can eat free alongside parents who have one. The child price is only for kids ages 3 through 11.
