Every Disneyland Paris hotel compared, no sugarcoating
Official Disney hotels, partner hotels, off-site stays: I walk you through nearly all of them. Here’s my comparison of Disneyland Paris hotels based on your budget, your travel style, and the distance you’re OK with.
The right hotel for your situation
The hotel you pick affects everything: what you spend, how much time goes to getting around, what your evenings feel like, and even how worn out you are by the second day. Somewhere among the places I review here is the right fit for you.
I’ve sorted the hotels into 3 categories. Official Disney hotels sit in the area right around the parks, park tickets come with your stay, and you get Extra Magic Time. Partner hotels are a free shuttle ride away, and you can still book them as a Disneyland Paris vacation package. Off-site hotels, in Val d’Europe and nearby towns, are worth a look if you want quiet nights or a smaller budget, though you give up the Disney experience.

Disney-run, partner, or off-site: 3 kinds of hotels to choose from
Category 1Official Disney hotels
You’ll find the 7 official Disney hotels in the immediate surroundings of Disneyland Paris, close enough to walk to Disneyland Park (0 to 20 minutes, Davy Crockett Ranch aside). Every one of them includes Extra Magic Time, meaning you get into the parks 1 hour before the general public. Other perks: parking is free, what you buy in the parks can be sent to your hotel, and Disney vacation packages bundle park tickets, with a half-board or full-board meal plan as an add-on. Whether you pick the 5★ Disneyland Hotel or the 2★ Santa Fe, there’s an official Disney hotel to match budgets of €195 to €1,235/night per person.
Category 2Partner hotels
Partner hotels aren’t inside the Disney parks area. They’re more like 10 to 15 minutes away by free shuttle or by car. You can book them as part of a Disney vacation package (hotel + park tickets) at lower prices than the official Disney hotels. The catch: no Extra Magic Time, and no delivery of your purchases to the hotel shop. A great fit for stays of more than 3 nights, groups, and travelers who’ve been before.
Category 3Off-site hotels (Val d’Europe)
Hotels in Val d’Europe and the surrounding area are the tight-budget option (from €90/night), reached by paid shuttle, the RER A (Paris commuter train), or bus. Handy if you want a kitchenette (aparthotels), quiet evenings, or a combined Paris + Disneyland Paris trip. No Disney vacation package here: you book the hotel and the park tickets separately.
How much does a Disney hotel cost?
Price ranges are €195 to €545/night per person for the 2-3★ Disney hotels (Santa Fe, Cheyenne, Sequoia), €235 to €825/night per person for the 4★ ones (Newport Bay, Hotel New York Art of Marvel), and €465 to €1,235/night per person for the 5★ Disneyland Hotel. Partner hotels start at €205/night per person. The best prices come in January-February and September, outside French school vacation. Book 9 to 12 months ahead to lock in good rates.
The perks of official Disney hotels
Beyond the theming, official Disney hotels bring 3 perks: Extra Magic Time (a 1-hour head start in the morning, with lines that are nearly empty), walking distance to the parks (0 to 20 min, no shuttle to wait for if you’d rather walk, except at Davy Crockett Ranch), and free delivery of your purchases to your hotel. Disney vacation packages also include park tickets in the price, and you can add a half-board or full-board meal plan. Across the 13 stays I’ve tested, I recommend an official Disney hotel for a first visit.

Your questions, my answers
The questions that land most often in my emails and DMs. Answers with real numbers, double-checked and tested on site.
01 How much does a Disneyland Paris vacation cost?
The price of a stay varies a lot depending on the hotel you pick. For a 2-day, 1-night stay for 2 adults and 2 kids with park tickets included, expect about €600 at the cheapest official Disney hotel and up to €1,100 at the most upscale one. On top of that, you need to add meals: the amount depends on the type of restaurant, but I recommend budgeting at least €300 for breakfast, lunch, afternoon snack, and dinner over the 2 days. All in all, plan on €900 to €1,400 for this kind of trip. For a single day only, the 1-day 1-park ticket starts at €49 per adult with a Bon Plan ticket: in that case, plan a budget of at least about €400 for a one-day visit for 2 adults and 2 kids, meals included.
02 Which Disney hotel is the cheapest?
The cheapest official Disney hotel is the Hotel Santa Fe, themed around Cars and Route 66. It’s the resort’s entry-level hotel, about a 20-minute walk from the parks. If your budget is even tighter, the Davy Crockett Ranch (cabins in the woods, reachable only by car) can work out cheaper for families, but you’ll need a vehicle. For exact prices, which change with the dates, I go straight to the official Disneyland Paris website.
03 Official Disney hotel vs. partner hotel: what’s the difference?
An official Disney hotel is run by Disneyland Paris and comes with exclusive perks: Extra Magic Time in the morning before official opening, free delivery of your store purchases to the hotel, and a fully themed atmosphere. A partner hotel (Explorers, Adagio, B&B, and others) is a privately run hotel near the resort, usually cheaper, but without Extra Magic Time or the Disney theming. For me, staying at a Disney hotel really changes how immersed you feel, but if money is tight, partner hotels are still a decent option.
04 Which Disney hotel should you pick with kids?
For a trip with kids, I recommend Hotel Cheyenne: a very immersive Wild West atmosphere (saloon, Western streets, ponies) at an affordable price, and little ones love it. The Newport Bay Club is also an excellent choice thanks to its big pool with areas for children. Sequoia Lodge appeals to families who like Disney’s forest-style setting. Skip Davy Crockett Ranch if you don’t have a car, since getting to the parks from there is more of a hassle.
05 Which Disney hotel is closest to the parks?
The Disneyland Hotel is by far the closest: it sits right above the entrance to Disneyland Park, 0 minutes on foot. It’s literally the park’s front gate. Next comes Disney Hotel New York - The Art of Marvel, a 10-minute walk away, then the Newport Bay Club and the Sequoia Lodge at 15 minutes. Hotel Cheyenne and Hotel Santa Fe are about 20 minutes away. The Davy Crockett Ranch isn’t within walking distance, so you’ll need a car.
