Making the Disneyland Pass worth it: blockout days and reservations

An annual passholder since March 2016, I’ve watched every version of the Disneyland Paris annual pass come and go, right up to today’s Disneyland Pass memberships. The system has changed a lot, and the pass no longer pays for itself by default. In this FAQ, I’ve gathered all my answers to help you see things clearly: picking a tier (Bronze One, Bronze Max, Silver, or Gold), dealing with the restrictive reservation requirement, and what the store and restaurant discounts are really worth. Here are the facts you need to decide whether this purchase actually fits the way you visit.

01 What is the Disneyland Pass?

The Disneyland Pass is the current Disneyland Paris annual pass program, launched on July 19, 2023. It replaced the former Infinity, Magic Plus, Magic Flex, and Discovery passes. On February 12, 2026, a new Bronze One tier joined the lineup, which now has four options: Bronze One, Bronze Max, Silver, and Gold. Each tier gives you a different number of access days and comes with its own on-site perks.

02 How much does the Disneyland Pass cost in 2026?

Here are the prices for 2026. Bronze One: €289. Bronze Max: €399. Silver: €569. Gold: €799. These prices are per person for one year of validity, and you can pay in full or in monthly installments.

03 How many access days does each Disneyland Pass include?

The number of access days depends on your tier. Bronze One: 170 days. Bronze Max: 210 days. Silver: 300 days. Gold: 365 days (unlimited). To check which days are open to your tier, you can view the official availability calendar in your personal Disneyland Paris account and on my blog.

04 Is the Disneyland Pass worth it?

It all comes down to how often you visit. The simple math: take the average price of a dated ticket for the dates you plan to come, multiply it by the number of visits you expect over the year, and compare that with the price of the annual pass. The pass starts to pay off as soon as you plan several visits, especially in peak season when dated tickets cost the most. Don’t forget the indirect savings: free parking, store and dining discounts (with Silver and Gold), PhotoPass included (with Gold), and access to annual pass deals on Disney hotels, Disney evening events, and Pop-Up Surprises.

05 What discounts do Disneyland Pass holders get?

The discounts depend on your tier. With the Bronze One and Bronze Max passes, you don’t get any store or dining discount. With the Silver pass, you get -10% at the stores and restaurants in the parks and at Disney Village, plus -10% on PhotoPass. With the Gold pass, it’s -15% on shopping and dining, PhotoPass is included for free, and you get Extra Magic Time. For Disney hotel stays, occasional discounts are offered, which vary with the time of year and don’t depend on your pass tier. The latest details are in your personal Disneyland Paris account and in the Disneyland Pass section of my blog.

06 How do I buy a Disneyland Pass?

There are two main ways. Online, on the official website disneylandparis.com, in the annual pass section: you choose your tier, pay, and then just stop by the ticket windows to pick up your physical card with your photo (if you want the physical card). In person, at the Annual Passport ticket windows located before the park entrances, usually beneath the Disneyland Hotel (except during renovation work). You don’t need a park ticket to get there, so you can come just to sign up.

07 Can I pay for my annual pass in monthly installments?

Yes. All four tiers qualify for monthly payments: a first down payment (with a required minimum and no maximum), followed by 11 monthly installments withdrawn each month. You’ll need your French bank account details (RIB) when you sign up. The exact amounts are on my page dedicated to the Disneyland Pass.

08 Can the price of my park ticket count toward an annual pass?

Yes. If you’ve bought a park ticket, you can take its value off the price of your annual pass, on the day of your visit or within the following 30 days. Go to the Annual Passport ticket windows with your ticket (paper or mobile) and your photo ID. This also works for tickets bought through a CE/CSE works council (a French employee committee that offers perks).

09 How do I renew my Disneyland Pass?

Renewals happen at the Annual Passport ticket windows, located beneath the Disneyland Hotel (open daily 8:30-17:00). It’s the only place to renew and get the 15% discount, within the window of 30 days before or after your pass’s end date. You can’t renew online: all you can do there is buy a new pass at full price, without the renewal offer.

10 With a Disneyland Pass, is booking your visit date required?

Yes, every Disneyland Pass tier requires a reservation, the same as undated tickets (Billet Liberté in French). The pass gives you the right to enter, but you have to register each visit date ahead of time, even on a day when the park looks quiet. Without a booked date, you’ll be turned away at the entrance. You make reservations in your personal Disneyland Paris account or in the app.

11 Is parking included with the Disneyland Pass?

Yes. Visitor parking is included with all four tiers: Bronze One, Bronze Max, Silver, and Gold. You simply show your pass at the parking lot entrance. A bit of history: VIP parking, once included with the former Infinity pass, has no longer been a pass perk since the July 2023 overhaul (the Infinity range itself having disappeared).

12 Can I cancel my Disneyland Pass after buying it?

The Disneyland Pass doesn’t come with the standard right of withdrawal: leisure services are excluded from it by default. Once you’ve signed up, it generally can’t be canceled or refunded, even if you haven’t used it. With monthly payments, early termination may be considered for a legitimate reason (death, moving abroad, or a force majeure event, with supporting documents), which you’ll need to take up directly with the finance department.

13 Which perks from the old passes have been dropped?

Several long-standing perks disappeared with the July 2023 overhaul. Here are the ones I miss the most: free luggage storage at the park entrance, free stroller and wheelchair rental, reserved viewing areas for Disney Stars on Parade and the nighttime shows, Privilege Tickets (free invitations for friends and family), the dedicated annual pass entrance, the separate Infinity parking area, and access to the hotel POOLS.

14 Does a child under 3 need a reservation?

No. Kids under 3 don’t need a ticket, so there’s nothing to book for them. You only make reservations for the family members who have a pass or a ticket.

15 Where does the Disneyland Pass show up on my phone?

The digital pass is stored in the Disneyland Paris app and linked to your Disney account. Look for it under My Annual Passes in the Account tab, or right on the app’s home screen. Open the pass to see the QR code you’ll scan at the gate. It only appears once you’re signed in.

16 Can I use the digital pass for parking and discounts too?

Yes. The same QR code does several jobs: getting into the parks at the turnstiles, unlocking your discounts at store and restaurant registers, and, depending on your pass, getting into the parking lot. At the parking lot, you show your QR code to a Cast Member at the booth or at an automatic kiosk.

17 Who can take advantage of these deals?

These rates are reserved for members holding an active annual pass. If your pass isn’t valid, the discounts aren’t available to you.

18 Can I still get a physical pass card?

Yes. The card is still offered free of charge, just request it at the ticket windows. You don’t need it to enter the parks or claim your discounts, since the digital pass covers all that, but it’s a convenient optional extra and a solid backup in case your phone dies.

19 Will a screenshot of the QR code get me in?

No, a screenshot won’t work. The QR code vanishes the moment you try to capture it, as a security feature. You have to be signed in to your account and display the live QR code in the app. So make sure you have your phone, an up-to-date app, and an internet connection when you reach the turnstile.

20 Can I have my pass on two phones?

Yes. Because the pass is tied to your Disney account, you can display it on two phones by signing in to the same account (yours and your partner’s, for example). Watch out: this doesn’t let two people in. The pass is still issued in one name only.

21 I got a new phone. How do I get my pass back?

All it takes is signing in to your Disney account again in the app on the new device. You don’t have to link anything again, because the pass is stored in your account rather than on the phone itself. Switching phones will never make you lose it.

22 When did the Disneyland Pass go digital?

The digital pass has been around since July 19, 2023, when the Disneyland Pass lineup arrived. It also works with the older ranges (Discovery, Magic Flex, Magic Plus, Infinity), which display the same way in the app.

23 Disneyland Pass Night vs. the Halloween evening, New Year’s Eve, or Bastille Day (July 14): what’s the difference?

A Disneyland Pass Night is only for passholders, with the park closed to everyone else. The Halloween evening, the New Year’s Eve party on December 31, and Bastille Day (July 14), on the other hand, are public evening events. Anyone can attend with a dated ticket for that day. Some Pass Nights have a Christmas theme, but they’re still for passholders only.

24 Do you need a Disneyland Pass to attend a Disneyland Pass Night?

Yes. Only holders of a Disneyland Pass that is active and valid can attend, and that applies both on the day you register and on the evening of the event. If your pass isn’t active, registration is closed to you.

25 Can I bring someone to a Disneyland Pass Night?

Yes. Depending on the event, you can buy tickets for people coming with you, up to two depending on the event. These guest tickets aren’t free and are bought online at the same time as your own registration.

26 What time do I pick up my wristband and get into the event?

You pick up your wristband on the day itself, at the dedicated ticket windows, usually starting at 12:00. Early entry to the event then generally opens at 18:30. I suggest collecting your wristband early to beat the late-afternoon crowds.

27 What is a Pop-Up Surprise at Disneyland Paris?

A Pop-Up Surprise is a meet and greet with one or more rare or never-before-seen Disney characters, ones you won’t run into in the park during the day. It’s free, but limited to Disneyland Pass members, by reservation only.

28 Which Disney hotels are included?

Every Disney hotel is included except the Disneyland Hotel. Club rooms are part of the offer too.

29 How big a discount can you get?

The discount varies with each offer and with demand, so there’s no guaranteed rate. In the best case I’ve seen, it reached about -60% (€260 instead of €625 at Disney Newport Bay Club for the night of August 10, 2024).

30 Are park tickets included?

No. This deal is for the room only. You still need a valid ticket or pass to enter the park, plus a reservation for each visit date.

31 Does a Friends Ticket include both parks and World of Frozen?

Yes. The Friends Ticket (1-day 2-park) gets you into Disneyland Park and Disney Adventure World (World of Frozen included).

32 Can I use Extra Magic Time with a Friends Ticket?

Not as a rule. There are two exceptions. Your guest can join if they’re staying at an official Disney hotel. And as a Gold passholder, your own Extra Magic Time stays yours, but it doesn’t extend to the people you invite.

33 When are the next Friends Ticket offers released?

Two windows tend to come back each year: one from January to March and a longer one in the warmer months, which can run from June to October. These are only guidelines: no date is guaranteed until Disneyland Paris officially announces a new offer.

34 What was the Infinity pass at Disneyland Paris?

The Infinity was the top tier of the Magic range (2017-2023): unlimited access, VIP parking, and Privilege Tickets to invite your friends and family. It was replaced by the Gold pass in today’s lineup.

35 Can I book my date in the Disneyland Paris app?

No, you book your dates on the Disneyland Paris website, or in the app (which opens the same tool). My advice is to go straight to your online reservation area, using the member account your pass is linked to.

36 Do these old passes still exist?

No. Today’s Disneyland Pass took over from the Magic range, which itself had replaced the Dream range. For the full picture, see my complete Disneyland Pass guide.

37 Booking your park day with a Disneyland Pass (annual pass): where and how?

With an annual pass, you must book the date of your visit. You do it online, in your personal Disneyland Paris account, with your pass linked to your Disney account (the pass reservation calendar). Click "Register a ticket or pass", pick your pass, then choose an available date (shown in green) on the calendar. My advice: book as soon as you know your dates, because there’s a daily cap on spots and the park sometimes shows as full.

38 How do I cancel a visit date I’ve already booked?

You can cancel anytime up to 10:00 on the morning of your visit, right in your Disneyland Paris reservation area. Canceling frees up the slot and doesn’t use up a day, so your pass stays valid as usual. There’s no "change" button, so to switch dates you cancel and then rebook right away. Watch out: if you cancel after 10:00, or simply don’t show up without canceling, Disneyland Paris can temporarily suspend your ability to make reservations, especially if it happens more than once.

39 Is a Disneyland Pass Night coming up soon?

The easiest way to find out is to check my guide to Disneyland Pass Nights. I add each event there as soon as it’s announced, with its date, its price, and when tickets go on sale. There are several a year, with no calendar guaranteed in advance. Disneyland Paris reveals each new event and its date mainly on its social media. You book from "My Disneyland Pass" ("Special Events" tab). Be ready the moment sales open, because spots go fast.

40 Does the Disneyland Pass get you a discount on Disney hotel nights?

Yes, the Disneyland Pass gives you access to discounts on vacation packages and nights at Disney hotels, depending on your tier and the time of year. The current deals are listed in this article.

41 How do I stop or not renew my Disneyland Pass?

The Disneyland Pass doesn’t renew automatically. It simply expires on its end date. So to stop it, you just don’t renew, and there’s nothing to cancel. If you chose monthly payments, those continue until the end of your one-year commitment.

42 Can you pay for the Disneyland Pass in installments?

Yes. Every tier can be paid in monthly installments as well as in full upfront. You pay a first amount on the day you buy, then the balance is withdrawn each month over the year. Paying monthly means committing for the length of the pass: if a payment is declined, your access can be suspended until it’s sorted out. The installment breakdown is shown when you buy, in your Disneyland Paris account.

43 If I have a pass, do my friends and family also get the store and restaurant discount?

Yes, up to a point. The Silver or Gold pass discount covers your table or your purchase for a limited number of people with the passholder, when you show the QR code at the register. The current details are in your Disneyland Paris account. Remember to show your pass before you pay.

44 How do I sign up for a Disneyland Pass Night?

Registration happens in "My Disneyland Pass" (in the "Friends Tickets and Special Events" section, under the "Special Events" tab) once tickets are released. These spots are in high demand and sell out quickly, so my advice is to book the moment sales open.

45 Does one reservation get you into both parks?

It depends on what you have. With a 2-park ticket or pass (Bronze Max, Silver, Gold, or a 2-park dated or undated ticket), a single booked date opens both parks, Disneyland Park and Disney Adventure World, on the same day, and you can go back and forth freely. With the Bronze One pass or a 1-park ticket, you’re limited to one park per day. One small exception, whatever your ticket or pass: during certain special events (private parties, press events), access to one of the two parks may be restricted.

46 Can I lend my digital pass to someone else?

No. The Disneyland Pass is strictly personal and can’t be transferred (Terms and Conditions of Sale, art. 3.1). The QR code is tied to your name, and you may be asked for photo ID each time you use it. Pulling it up on another person’s phone doesn’t make it shareable: entry is denied if the pass isn’t in the name of the person at the gate.

47 What happens if my phone is dead when I get to the entrance?

It’s up to you to have enough battery to show your pass at the turnstile. If your phone is out of juice, you can rent a portable charger at Disney Village. My tip: toss a power bank in your bag before your day, it’s the simplest way to avoid getting stuck.

48 What should I do if my QR code shows up blank or is gone?

Don’t worry, your pass isn’t lost, it’s just a display glitch. Force-quit the app, then open it again. Make sure you’re signed in to the right account and that your pass shows up under My Annual Passes (if it doesn’t, use Add Ticket or Stay to link it). It’s also a good idea to update the app and check your internet connection before you reach the turnstile.

49 Are Pop-Up Surprises free?

Yes. The meet and greet costs nothing, it’s a perk included with the Disneyland Pass at no extra charge. It is, however, limited to pass members and available by reservation only.

50 Who can take part in Pop-Up Surprises?

Disneyland Pass holders (and holders of the older annual passes). You can bring up to 3 companions, as long as they’re Disneyland Pass members too. Each person also needs their own park reservation for that day.

51 How do I book a Pop-Up Surprise?

You book online on the pass’s official platform, pass-annuel.disneylandparis.com. You pick your date and a time slot (offered every quarter hour, usually from 10:00 to 16:45). Plan on 1 booking per pass, plus up to 3 companions who are also pass members.

52 How can I hear about upcoming Pop-Up Surprises?

Disneyland Paris posts each new edition on its social media first, and members get an email afterward. The app doesn’t announce them at all. Spots get snapped up quickly, so follow the official accounts and check your inbox often.

53 Where do Pop-Up Surprises take place?

Inside Disneyland Park, at the Disneyland Pass Corner (once the Annual Passport office), which sits between Fantasyland and Discoveryland, facing Le Théâtre du Château.

54 Which characters have appeared at past Pop-Up Surprises?

Since September 2023, there have been several editions, featuring Tinker Bell, the Aristocats kittens, Clarice, Terk, Miguel Rivera, Mickey or Minnie dressed as captains, and Carl Fredricksen or Russell, among others. The table in the article sums up the various editions and the extra characters that joined them.

55 What is a Disneyland Pass hotel deal?

It’s a promotion only for Disneyland Pass members: a discounted rate on a room-only stay, meaning just the lodging, at Disney hotels during certain times of the year.

56 How do I book a Disneyland Pass hotel deal?

Sign in on the Disneyland Paris app or official website, open the "My Disneyland Pass" tab, and then tap "Disney Hotels". Bookings are accepted until the day before check-in, subject to availability.

57 Can I book a Disney hotel outside the deal periods?

Yes. You can book a room-only stay at a Disney hotel year-round at the regular rate from your account, following the same path: "My Disneyland Pass", then "Disney Hotels".

58 What is a Friends Ticket at Disneyland Paris?

A Friends Ticket is a discounted 1-day 2-park ticket that active Disneyland Pass holders can buy for their friends and family. It’s an occasional offer, released a few times a year in limited numbers.

59 Who can buy Friends Tickets?

Members with a finalized adult pass that is currently valid. Every valid adult tier qualifies, subject to availability.

60 How much is a Disneyland Paris Friends Ticket?

The price depends on your visit date and on the current offer, and the app’s calendar shows it with a color code. Check the cards for the current offer on this page. A Friends Ticket always costs less than the dated ticket sold to the general public.

61 Do my friends need me with them to get into the park?

No. You download the ticket QR codes from your Disney account and send them to your guests, who can enter the parks without you.

62 Can I buy a Friends Ticket at the park entrance?

No, that’s no longer possible. The park entrance doesn’t sell Friends Tickets anymore, so you’ll have to buy them online, either in the app or on the official website.

63 How do I book a Friends Ticket?

Log in to your Disney account through the app or the official website. Head to "My Account", and from there to "My Disneyland Pass", and open "Friends Tickets". Pick the 1-day 2-park ticket and a date, say how many guests you’re buying for, type in their names, and check out.

64 How many Friends Tickets can I buy?

Each pass can buy a maximum of 5 tickets per day and per transaction, and no more than 20 tickets in total while the offer runs. You have to stay within both caps at once.

65 Can Friends Tickets be changed or refunded?

No. Friends Tickets are issued in each guest’s name: you enter the first and last name of every person when you buy. They can’t be changed or refunded.

66 Can I resell a Friends Ticket?

No. They are strictly for personal, non-commercial use. Reselling one can get your Disneyland Pass suspended.

67 How much did a Privilege Ticket cost?

Back then, the price depended on your pass: €47 in off-peak season and €66 in peak season with a Magic Plus, €42 and €61 with an Infinity. These prices no longer apply, since the former offer is gone.

68 What’s the difference between the Privilege Ticket and Friends Tickets?

The former Privilege Ticket was only for Magic Plus and Infinity passholders, and the holder had to be there in person at the ticket window. Friends Tickets are open to today’s adult tiers, are booked entirely online, and don’t require you to be there: your guests get in with their QR code.

69 What were the old Disneyland Paris annual passes?

Before today’s lineup, there was the Dream range (Francilien, Fantasy, and Dream), followed by the Magic range (Discovery, Magic Flex, Magic Plus, and Infinity). Several other ranges have existed since 1992, but there’s less information about them.

70 Is parking free with the Disneyland Pass?

Yes. Visitor parking comes with every Disneyland Pass, whatever the tier (Bronze One, Bronze Max, Silver, Gold), for a car or a motorcycle. You show your pass (QR code) at the booth or at the automatic kiosk at the parking lot and pay nothing, except on your tier’s blockout days. RVs use a separate parking area.

71 Can a ticket I’ve already bought be deducted from the price of the Disneyland Pass?

Yes. If you already have a valid dated ticket, you can take its value off the price of a Disneyland Pass, on the same day as your visit. Head to the Annual Passport ticket windows at the Disneyland Park entrance with your ticket, and the ticket price is subtracted from the pass you pick.

72 Can you still book a Privilege Ticket at Disneyland Paris?

No. The Privilege Ticket was discontinued along with the old pass lineup. It has been replaced by Friends Tickets, which are only for Disneyland Pass holders.

73 When can I renew my Disneyland Pass?

The renewal window opens one month before your pass’s expiration date and closes one month after it. That gives you two months in all to renew at the ticket windows and keep your membership unbroken. Once that window closes, you have to start over with a brand-new purchase. I always keep an eye on my expiration date so I stay on time and keep the renewal offer.

74 Is there a Disneyland Pass renewal discount, and how do I get it?

Yes. You get 15% off when you renew within the set window (1 month before to 1 month after your pass’s end date). Watch out: it’s only available at the Annual Passport ticket windows in Disneyland Park. You can’t renew online (online, you can only buy a new pass at full price). When you renew in person within that window, the discount is applied automatically, with no code or extra steps, and you get a free Disneyland Pass lanyard.

75 How do I book for the whole family with multiple passes?

When several passes sit on the same member account, one session is all it takes to book for everybody. Tick the passes you want to register, pick a date that works for all of you, and the whole family is booked in a single step.

76 What should I bring to renew at the ticket windows?

Bring photo ID, a way to pay (card or cash), your current pass (digital or card), and, if you’re paying in installments, your French bank account details (RIB).

77 When does my renewed pass become active?

Renew ahead of the expiration date and your new pass starts the day after the old one runs out, so there’s never a gap. Renew once it has already expired and it starts on the purchase date. In other words, renewing early doesn’t cost you any days.

78 Can I still renew after my pass has expired?

Yes, you have 30 days after your expiration date to renew. After that, you’re outside the renewal window and miss the offer that comes with it.

79 How much does a Disneyland Pass Night cost?

Tickets aren’t free: €65 per person for the September 2026 event, compared with €59 for the 2024 and 2025 events. The price varies from one event to the next, and the exact amount is given each time tickets go on sale.

80 Can I upgrade to a higher tier when I renew?

Yes. The ladder runs from Bronze One up to Bronze Max, then Silver, then Gold. Renew at the ticket windows during the window and the 15% discount applies to whichever new tier you pick.

81 Is online renewal possible, or is it ticket windows only?

Renewals are only handled at the Annual Passport ticket windows in Disneyland Park: it’s the only way to renew and get the 15% discount. Online (in your Disneyland Paris account or the app), renewing isn’t an option. All you can do is buy a new pass at full price, without the renewal offer.

82 I booked a date but couldn’t make it. What happens now?

A visit where you don’t come and your pass never gets scanned at the gate is called a no-show. Rack up 3 no-shows within 90 consecutive days and Disneyland Paris locks you out of reservations for 30 days (counting from the day after that 3rd no-show). Best habit: if you can’t come, cancel before 10:00.

83 With my pass, how many dates can I reserve ahead of time?

You can hold up to 3 booked dates at once, whatever your tier. It works on a rolling basis: as soon as a visit is behind you or a date is canceled, the slot opens up and you can book a new one, always within the limit of 3.

84 Is a park reservation needed for Disneyland Pass Nights?

If you arrive from early entry onward (around 18:00), you don’t need a reservation for the event. But if you want to enjoy the park earlier in the day, you’ll need to book a regular day. For Pop-Up Surprises, on the other hand, a reservation is required.
