Getting to Disneyland Paris: transportation, parking, and travel tips
Figuring out how to get to Disneyland Paris in Marne-la-Vallée is the very first step of your trip, and costs can add up fast if you don’t plan ahead. Since 1997, I’ve tried just about every way to reach the resort: car, RER A (Paris commuter train), TGV (high-speed train), plane, and Magical Shuttle buses. In this FAQ, I’ve gathered all my fact-based answers to help you pick the best route for your departure city and your family. I explain how to get around the high price of the official parking lot with concrete alternatives, how the drop-off zones work, and which traps to avoid on Paris public transportation when you have luggage. Here’s my method for reaching the park gates stress-free and without unnecessary costs.
01 How do you get to Disneyland Paris?
There are four main ways in: the train (direct TGV, OUIGO, or Eurostar), the RER A all the way to its last stop, Marne-la-Vallée Chessy, the car via the A4 highway (exit 14, Parcs Disney), or a flight into one of the Paris airports (CDG or Orly) followed by a shuttle. I go through each one in my dedicated articles.
02 Which train station serves Disneyland Paris (TGV, RER, OUIGO, Eurostar)?
There’s only one: Marne-la-Vallée Chessy. TGV, OUIGO, and Eurostar trains all stop there, and it’s also the last stop on the RER A. Depending on your train, you can get there without changing from Paris, CDG airport, Lille, Lyon, Marseille, or Brussels (coming from London means one change, in Lille or Paris).
03 How far is the walk from the station to the parks?
It’s roughly a 5-minute walk. Step off the train, cross Disney Village, and you’re at the security check for the parks. You won’t need a shuttle.
04 Where do I park if I’m driving?
The official Disney parking lot is right in front of the parks, about a 10-minute walk from the entrance. It’s the most convenient option. There are also alternative parking garages (Indigo in particular) near the RER station, usually cheaper.
05 Does the official Disney parking lot charge a fee?
Yes, Disney parking is charged by the day. The price depends on the type of vehicle (car, RV, motorcycle). It’s free for guests of the official Disney hotels and for annual passholders (all tiers), except on blockout days (the Gold tier, for its part, gets it all year round, with no blocked days). Current prices are in the Disneyland Paris app or on arrival.
06 Is there cheaper parking than Disney’s?
Yes, the Indigo parking garage at Disney Village is usually cheaper than Disney parking. Then allow 5 to 10 minutes of walking to the parks. It’s a good option if you’re coming for a day without a hotel.
07 Which shuttle can you take from CDG or Orly airport?
Several options: the Magical Shuttle bus (paid, serves the Disney hotels), the RER B then RER A with a change at Châtelet-Les Halles, or a direct TGV from CDG (the fastest). I go over prices and travel times in my dedicated article.
08 Are there shuttles between the Disney hotels and the parks?
Yes, free shuttles serve most of the official Disney hotels. Some hotels are also within walking distance (Disneyland Hotel, Hotel New York, Newport Bay Club, Sequoia Lodge). The Davy Crockett Ranch has no shuttle, so you really need a car there (its guests get free parking at the parks). You’ll find the schedule at the hotel front desk or in the Disneyland Paris app.
09 What exactly is the Disney Express service?
Disney Express is a luggage delivery service between Marne-la-Vallée Chessy station and your hotel. When you arrive, you drop your suitcases at the counter (one floor up in the station), check in to your hotel right there, and head off with your park tickets. Your luggage is delivered to your hotel. When you leave, your suitcases travel from the hotel to the station. The service has a fee (plan on €18 per person), must be booked in advance, and is for guests of Disney hotels and Partner Hotels (except Davy Crockett Ranch and Center Parcs Villages Nature). Full details are in my article on luggage storage.
10 Is there a train + hotel + ticket package for Disneyland Paris?
Yes, but not directly through the official Disneyland Paris website. Several partner travel agencies (online or brick-and-mortar) offer packages combining the train (TGV, Eurostar...), the hotel, and park tickets, sometimes with a half-board meal plan. Compare offers based on your dates and the number of people.
11 Is a car necessary to get to Disneyland Paris?
No. The park is very easy to reach: the RER A (Paris commuter train) stops at the entrance, trains run from the airports, and the Disney hotels offer free shuttles. A car is mostly useful for exploring the area or if you’re staying farther away.
12 How long does it take to walk from the parking lot to the parks?
Plan on 10 to 15 minutes on average to reach the parks from the parking lot. To save time and energy, I suggest using the moving walkways between the parking lot and the park entrances.
13 How can you get into Paris from Disneyland Paris?
Without any change, the RER A takes you from Marne-la-Vallée Chessy station into the center of Paris in roughly 35 to 40 minutes. That’s the simplest option if you want to spend a day of your trip seeing the capital.
14 Do I need a Crit’Air sticker for Disneyland Paris parking?
No. Disneyland Paris parking is in Chessy, outside the ZFE (low-emission zone). No sticker is required to drive in or park there, whatever car you have.
15 Is there a discount with a Disney ticket or hotel stay?
Yes. Guests with a park ticket and those staying at a Disney hotel get a discount on their Avis rental. The exact amount is confirmed when you book.
16 What perks do Disneyland Pass holders get?
Disneyland Pass holders get membership in the Avis Preferred program (faster rentals) plus a free upgrade on their vehicle.
17 Can I park at Disneyland Paris with a rental car?
Yes. Rental cars park just like any other vehicle, in the visitor parking lot of the resort, which charges a fee. The terms that apply after that depend on your own situation.
18 Will I need a Crit’Air sticker when driving to Disneyland Paris?
No. Disneyland Paris is in Chessy, outside the Greater Paris ZFE (low-emission zone): no sticker is required to reach the park, the hotels, or the parking lot, whatever car you drive. You only need the sticker if you drive through Paris.
19 Does the Navigo pass cover the trip to Disneyland Paris?
Yes. A Navigo pass covering all zones (weekly, monthly, or daily) includes the ride to Marne-la-Vallée Chessy at no extra cost. Just tap your Navigo when you enter and exit.
20 Is there a shuttle at the Disneyland Hotel and Davy Crockett Ranch?
No. You can simply walk from the Disneyland Hotel, since it stands at the gates of Disneyland Park. Disney Davy Crockett Ranch is farther out, and the only way to get there is by car (around fifteen minutes, and there’s parking at the ranch).
21 When does the first shuttle leave, and when is the last one?
The first shuttles leave before the parks open and the last ones after closing, or after the nighttime show on evenings when there is one. On the Disney side, buses come frequently (about every 12 min). Exact times vary by hotel and season, so ask the front desk for the precise schedule.
22 Are the shuttles accessible for strollers and wheelchairs?
Yes, strollers (folded) are allowed, and most shuttles have a ramp and space for wheelchairs. Special transportation for guests with reduced mobility is available at Bay A of the north bus station. Let the front desk know what you need.
23 Where can you find free parking near Disneyland Paris?
The easiest is the free parking lot at the Val d’Europe shopping mall. From there, you reach the parks by RER A (just one stop, about 3 minutes) or by local bus. Be sure to follow the parking rules posted on site.
24 What time does the Disneyland Paris parking lot open and close?
Opening time is usually 8:00, ahead of park opening, and closing is generally 30 minutes after the last park shuts. As long as Disney Village is still open, you can get to the lot, which means you can pick up your car after eating dinner there. On event days or very crowded days, these hours can change.
25 Is there a direct train from the airport to Disneyland Paris?
Yes, though only from Roissy-CDG. Direct TGV INOUI trains run from the airport’s station to the Disneyland Paris station, taking roughly ten minutes. You’ll find about fifteen of these direct trains each day, spread nicely through the day. Orly, on the other hand, has no direct train.
26 What does a taxi ride from the airport to Disneyland Paris cost?
There’s no official regulated fare to Disneyland Paris like there is for Paris: some taxis and rideshares offer a fixed price in advance, otherwise the fare runs on the meter. As a rough guide, expect €70 to €110 from CDG, and €80 to €120 from Orly, depending on the vehicle, traffic, and time of day. Rideshare prices can climb in the evening and during vacation periods.
27 How do you get from Roissy-CDG Airport to Disneyland Paris?
Your quickest option is a direct TGV INOUI: it leaves from the TGV station at CDG Airport Terminal 2 and reaches Marne-la-Vallée Chessy, the Disneyland Paris station, in roughly ten minutes. You can also take the Magical Shuttle (around 1 hour), the RER (around 1 hour to 1 hour 15 minutes), or a taxi. I cover the shuttle in my dedicated article.
28 What’s the difference between the Indigo parking garage and the visitor parking lot?
The Indigo parking garage (at Disney Village, run by Indigo) charges by the hour with no reservation, and it’s closer to the parks but smaller. The visitor parking lot charges a flat daily rate, and it’s bigger but a bit farther away. See Disneyland Paris parking.
29 Is it OK to park at Val d’Europe for the whole day?
The operator advertises free parking with no time limit, but this lot is meant for shoppers, and nothing explicitly allows you to leave your car there all day to go to the park. Check the rules posted on site: overstaying can lead to a fine.
30 Does parking somewhere else to visit Disneyland Paris actually save money?
For 1 or 2 people or a short visit, yes: the RER A from Val d’Europe is still cheap and the parking is free. For a family of 4 or 5, the cost of round-trip tickets times the number of people quickly gets close to the parking price, not to mention the extra time and walking.
31 Can you take the RER A directly to Disneyland Paris?
Yes. On its eastern branch, the RER A ends at Marne-la-Vallée Chessy, the Disneyland Paris station. You walk out of the station about 150 meters from the park entrances, with no transfer or shuttle. Just check that your train shows Marne-la-Vallée Chessy as its destination, not Torcy.
32 How much is an RER ticket to Disneyland Paris in 2026?
A one-way ride costs €2.55 in 2026, the same as a regular metro ticket. Since the 2025 fare reform, there’s no longer a zone surcharge for Disneyland Paris. Kids from 4 to 9 pay half price (€1.30), and kids under 4 ride free. The prices of €5.60 or more you may still see online are out of date.
33 What does a Crit’Air sticker cost?
Expect roughly €3.85 with postage for a car registered in France, and roughly €5.11 for one registered abroad (because of international mailing). certificat-air.gouv.fr is the only official site. Avoid any website asking €15 to €30 for the sticker.
34 How long is the trip from Paris?
Allow roughly 35 minutes from Nation, 37 from Gare de Lyon, and 40 from Châtelet-Les Halles. Coming from western Paris adds a bit of time: count on about 50 minutes from Charles de Gaulle Étoile and around 55 from La Défense.
35 Which Disney hotels offer a shuttle bus?
Free shuttles serve five of the official Disney hotels: Disney Hotel New York - The Art of Marvel, Disney Newport Bay Club, Disney Sequoia Lodge, Disney Hotel Cheyenne, and Disney Hotel Santa Fe. Buses depart from the north bus station.
36 What’s the last RER back to Paris from Disneyland Paris?
The last train from Chessy to Paris leaves around midnight, sometimes a little later, and the time varies by day and any construction work. Check the exact time that evening in the Île-de-France Mobilités app or at the station, and leave some margin after the nighttime show. If you miss it, there’s no overnight RER: you’ll need a taxi, a rideshare, or a place to sleep nearby.
37 Do I need to book the Magical Shuttle in advance?
It’s strongly recommended. Booking ahead guarantees your seat, especially during French school vacation and busy periods. You can add it to your vacation when booking on the Disneyland Paris website, or book it later on magicalshuttle.fr. Buying at the counter when you arrive is still possible, but a seat isn’t guaranteed.
38 Is Disney Village parking free for Disney hotel guests?
No, the Indigo parking garage at Disney Village charges everyone by the hour (from €1 per 15 minutes, about €26 for 24 hours). The only free options are the first minute in the drop-off zone and the free hours you get with a movie theater ticket. That applies to Disney hotel guests too: their free parking covers their hotel’s parking lot and the Disneyland Paris visitor parking lot, but not the Indigo garage at Disney Village.
39 Do I need to reserve the Indigo parking garage?
No, the Indigo parking garage works without a reservation. Just drive up, and the gate opens hands-free thanks to license plate recognition and the Indigo Neo app.
40 My RER ended at Torcy, not at Disneyland Paris. Why?
Because not every train on the eastern branch goes all the way to Chessy: many end at Torcy, three stops earlier. Always check the destination shown on the platform and on the front of the train. If you end up in Torcy, just catch the next train toward Marne-la-Vallée Chessy.
41 Do foreign-registered vehicles need a Crit’Air sticker?
Not for Disneyland Paris itself, since it lies beyond the ZFE (low-emission zone). If you’ll be driving into Paris or anywhere in the Greater Paris ZFE, though, certificat-air.gouv.fr lets you order a French sticker for a car registered abroad. Delivery can take anywhere from a few days to a few weeks, depending on your country.
42 Are the ZFE restrictions actually enforced in 2026?
In 2026, Greater Paris is still in an educational phase, and no automatic fines are planned for the year. Since the legal framework could still change, check the exact status on certificat-air.gouv.fr and metropolegrandparis.fr before any trip through Paris.
43 Do Disney hotel guests park for free?
Yes, parking is included in your stay. Just show the access pass (MagicPass, formerly Easy Pass) the hotel gives you at the front desk. For a partner hotel, parking is only free if you booked through Disneyland Paris.
44 How much does visitor parking cost at Disneyland Paris?
Visitor parking costs €30 per day for a car. It’s free for Disney hotel guests and for all Disneyland Pass tiers, except on blockout days. RV and motorcycle rates are separate.
45 What’s the Magical Shuttle price, and is it free for babies?
Babies under 3 ride free (mention them when you book), and kids from 3 to 11 get a discounted price. The current adult price is shown on magicalshuttle.fr when you book.
46 Arriving by train: where do I drop my bags?
At Marne-la-Vallée/Chessy station, automatic lockers let you drop off your suitcases before heading into the parks. If you’re staying at a Disney hotel, its luggage storage is free, even before check-in. It’s all explained in luggage storage.
47 Does the Magical Shuttle stop at my hotel?
Its stops include the Disney hotels, partner hotels near the park, the Val d’Europe area, and Villages Nature Paris. During booking, you choose your hotel from a list: if you find it there, the shuttle goes to it.
48 How long is the ride on the Magical Shuttle?
About an hour on average. Since it’s a shared bus that stops at several hotels one after another, the time depends on the drop-off order and traffic. So it takes longer than a taxi or rideshare that drives you straight there.
49 Can you take the Magical Shuttle at night?
No. The Magical Shuttle runs during the day only, every day, and stops in the early evening. For a flight landing or leaving late, plan on a taxi or rideshare.
50 Is the Magical Shuttle accessible for guests with reduced mobility?
The standard buses aren’t equipped for wheelchairs, but an adapted vehicle can be arranged. You need to request it in advance, when you make your booking.
51 On my way home, how early before my flight should I catch the shuttle?
Give yourself plenty of time. Because the shuttle is shared and depends on traffic, a good rule of thumb is to take it about 3 hours before takeoff, to allow for the other passengers’ drop-offs and check-in at the airport.
52 How do you get from Orly Airport to Disneyland Paris?
Orly has no direct train to Disneyland Paris. The easiest option is the Magical Shuttle (about 1 hour). The train is doable but complicated (Orlyval, then RER B, then RER A at Châtelet-Les Halles), with two transfers and roughly 1 hour 30 minutes to 1 hour 50 minutes of travel. A taxi or rideshare is still the most comfortable choice, especially late at night.
53 What’s the easiest option if I’m flying in?
If you land at CDG, the direct TGV is fast and often cheaper than a taxi. Otherwise, or from Orly, the Magical Shuttle is the simplest: one ride, luggage included. For a late arrival, a taxi or rideshare is still the most convenient.
54 Are the shuttle buses at Disneyland Paris hotels free?
Yes. The shuttles for both the official Disney hotels and the partner hotels are free. The service is for hotel guests only: keep proof of your stay with you, as it may be checked.
55 Is the Indigo parking garage cheaper than the visitor parking lot?
Often yes, especially for a short visit, since it charges by the hour. The visitor parking lot charges a flat daily rate. For a full day, Indigo comes to about €26. See the details in Disneyland Paris parking.
56 How much is visitor parking if I’m not a passholder or a Disney hotel guest?
Visitor parking costs €30 per day for a car. That’s the benchmark for deciding whether a free option nearby is worth it.
