Your questions about Disneyland Paris

Answers to the questions you ask me most often. Each topic also has its own dedicated page with all its questions.

01 What are the different types of Disneyland Paris tickets?

Disneyland Paris offers several types of ticket, and I know it’s easy to get lost when you’re planning your first visit. Here’s what’s available in 2026. Bon Plan tickets are the cheapest, in limited numbers. Dated 1-park or 2-park tickets are valid for a set date. Undated 1-park or 2-park tickets let you choose the date later. They aren’t valid on 14 July, 31 October and 31 December. On top of these come multi-day tickets (2 to 4 days) and Special Offer tickets, such as the Tribu ticket. Group tickets are for 20 people or more. Friends Tickets are for annual pass holders only. There’s no longer a separate "evening" ticket for Halloween or New Year’s Eve. The evening of 31 October and the evening of 31 December are included in the dated ticket for that day. The evenings reserved for annual pass holders still take place. Finally, there are the annual passes themselves. Each ticket has its own conditions and its own price.

02 Why do ticket prices keep changing?

Since November 2024, Disneyland Paris has used dynamic pricing on all its tickets. The price of the same ticket varies with the visit date, demand and when you buy. The busiest periods (French school holidays, Christmas, Halloween, long weekends) are the most expensive, and prices go up as the date gets closer. A colour-coded calendar shows the price for each date.

03 What is a dated 2-park ticket?

The dated 2-park ticket lets you move freely between Disneyland Park and Disney Adventure World on the same day, on a set date. It’s the option I recommend if you’ve been before and want to see everything, especially since World of Frozen opened and with new attractions coming soon to Disney Adventure World. The two parks are right next to each other, so walking from one to the other takes under 5 minutes. The price varies with the date you choose and when you buy, and you can check it on the official Disneyland Paris website when you book.

04 What is a Disneyland Paris multi-day ticket?

The multi-day ticket lets you visit both parks over 2, 3 or 4 days, to be used within the validity period shown on the ticket. It’s the option I recommend to first-time visitors coming from far away: in a single day, you clearly can’t see everything, and by the second day the pace is much more enjoyable. The price is tiered, which means the price per day goes down as you add days. You can check the prices on the official Disneyland Paris website when you book.

05 When should I buy my ticket to pay the least?

With dynamic pricing, the earlier you buy, the less you pay. I recommend buying at least 2 to 3 months before your date, especially for the busiest periods, when the best dates go quickly. Waiting until the last minute in the hope of a deal is a bad idea: for tickets, prices almost always go up as the date gets closer.

06 Is there a child price for Disneyland Paris tickets?

Yes, Disneyland Paris has a child price for children aged 3 to 11 inclusive. From the age of 12, children pay the adult price (yes, I know, it always surprises people, but that’s how it works at most parks around the world). The age that counts is the child’s age on the day of the visit, not the day you buy, which is also why the visit date is asked for when the ticket is registered. You can check child prices on the official Disneyland Paris website when you book, and the discount varies with the option you choose.

07 What is a Disney private sale for Disneyland Paris?

A Disney private sale is a temporary promotional offer. It is run by specialist websites such as Veepee or Voyage Privé, or sometimes directly by Disneyland Paris. It lets you buy tickets or holidays at a discounted price. Access is usually limited to people registered on the website or subscribed to its newsletter.

08 Do you really save money with Disney private sales?

Yes, private sales can offer worthwhile discounts on tickets or holidays: I’ve seen up to -35%, but the discount varies from one offer to the next. My advice is still to always compare with the prices on the official Disneyland Paris website. It isn’t always the cheapest option.

09 What are the downsides of buying through a private sale rather than the official website?

The main downside is the lack of flexibility: changing or cancelling is often difficult, or even impossible, especially when the terms aren’t clearly stated. I recommend reading them carefully before you book. Another thing to check: an advertised discount may be based on a high starting price, which reduces the real saving.

10 Why can booking directly on the official Disneyland Paris website be better value?

Booking direct on the official website often comes with more flexible terms: tickets you can cancel or change if needed, refund guarantees and access to official perks. These terms aren’t always available with private sales. It’s the option I recommend when you need flexibility.

11 Does the Disneyland ticket cover everything I’ll do in the park?

No, the ticket only gives you entry to the parks. It doesn’t cover extras such as parking, food, shopping or fast track. I recommend setting aside an extra budget for these services.

12 Can you buy Friends Tickets at the park entrance?

No, Friends Tickets are no longer sold at the park entrance. The only way to get them is through the official Disneyland Paris website or the app, by logging in to the Disney account linked to your annual pass. Make sure your annual pass is active to access this offer.

13 Can I pay for my park tickets with French holiday vouchers?

Yes, you can, but it works in two steps: you buy your tickets online, then you post your French holiday vouchers before your visit. I recommend doing it early so the payment is processed in time.

14 Are Disney military tickets really cheaper?

Yes, the military ticket gives you a discount usually between 10% and 12%, depending on the date and crowd levels. The percentage can be a little lower or a little higher depending on the time of year. I recommend comparing with standard tickets for your date.

15 Where can you buy Disney military tickets?

Military tickets can only be booked on the official Disneyland Paris website, in the special tickets section. Be wary of offers sold elsewhere, which aren’t guaranteed.

16 Do I need a park ticket to go to Disney Village?

No. Disney Village is free to enter and open to everyone, with no park ticket or Disney hotel stay needed. You can have dinner, go shopping (including the big World of Disney store), go to Starbucks or the cinema. The only formality, if you’re not coming straight from a park, is the security check at the entrance to the Village. Merchandise exclusive to a land or a season, though, is found in the shops inside the parks, which require a ticket.

17 What is the Disneyland Paris Bon Plan ticket?

The Bon Plan ticket is the cheapest Disneyland Paris ticket, launched on 18 November 2025. It gets you into one park (Disneyland Park or Disney Adventure World) on a set date, from €49, with a paid add-on to visit both parks. One thing that sets it apart: there’s a single price for adults and children (3-11), with no difference based on age. These tickets are limited in number and only go on sale 60 to 90 days before the visit date. They can’t be refunded, changed or cancelled, so only book one if your date is certain.

01 How much does a trip to Disneyland Paris cost?

The cost of a trip varies a lot depending on the hotel you choose. For a 2-day, 1-night stay for 2 adults and 2 children with park tickets included, expect around €600 at the cheapest official Disney hotel and up to €1,100 at the most upmarket one. On top of that, you need to add meals: the amount depends on the type of restaurant, but I suggest allowing at least €300 for breakfast, lunch, afternoon snack and dinner over the 2 days. In total, budget between €900 and €1,400 for this kind of trip. For a day visit only, the 1-day 1-park ticket starts at €49 per adult with a Bon Plan ticket: allow a budget of at least around €400 for a one-day visit for 2 adults and 2 children, meals included.

02 How many days do you need at Disneyland Paris?

Two days is the ideal length for a first trip: one day per park, without rushing. With three days or more, you can take things at a relaxed pace (going back to your favourites, catching up on shows, enjoying the hotel and Disney Village). For a short trip, I suggest Disneyland Park on day 1 (the bigger one) and Disney Adventure World on day 2.

03 How many official Disney hotels are there at Disneyland Paris?

Disneyland Paris has 7 official Disney hotels: the Disneyland Hotel (luxury, princess theme, 0 minutes’ walk from the parks), Disney Hotel New York - The Art of Marvel (Marvel theme, 10 minutes’ walk), Newport Bay Club (New England theme, 15 minutes’ walk), Sequoia Lodge (Disney forest theme, 15 minutes’ walk), Hotel Cheyenne (Wild West theme, 20 minutes’ walk), Hotel Santa Fe (Cars/Route 66 theme, 20 minutes’ walk) and Davy Crockett Ranch (nature and Junior Woodchucks theme, reachable by car only). Each has its own atmosphere, and it’s really the theme and the budget that guide my choice when I book.

04 What’s the difference between an official Disney hotel and a partner hotel?

An official Disney hotel is run by Disneyland Paris and gives you exclusive perks: Extra Magic Time in the morning before the parks officially open, free delivery of your shop purchases to the hotel and a fully themed setting. A partner hotel (such as Explorers, Adagio or B&B) is a privately run hotel near the resort, usually cheaper, but without Extra Magic Time or Disney theming. For me, staying in a Disney hotel really makes a difference to the immersion, but if your budget is tight, the partner hotels are a decent option.

05 What is the cheapest Disney hotel?

The cheapest official Disney hotel is Hotel Santa Fe, themed on Cars and Route 66. It’s the resort’s entry-level hotel, about 20 minutes’ walk from the parks. If you’re on an even tighter budget, Davy Crockett Ranch (bungalows in the forest, reachable by car only) can work out cheaper for families, but you’ll need a vehicle. For exact prices, which vary by date, I check the official Disneyland Paris website directly.

06 Which Disney hotel is closest to the parks?

The Disneyland Hotel is by far the closest: it sits right above the entrance to Disneyland Park, 0 minutes on foot. It’s literally the park’s entrance gate. Next comes Hotel New York - The Art of Marvel, a 10-minute walk away, then the Newport Bay Club and the Sequoia Lodge, 15 minutes away. The Cheyenne and the Santa Fe are about 20 minutes away. The Davy Crockett Ranch can’t be reached on foot, you need a car.

07 Which Disney hotel offers the best value for money?

For me, the Hotel Cheyenne offers the best value for money: an immersive Wild West atmosphere at an affordable price, ideal for families. The Newport Bay Club comes a close second, with its large pool and comfortable rooms at a reasonable price for what you get. It all depends on your priorities (theme, pool, distance), but the Cheyenne is still my favourite when you’re watching your budget.

08 Which Disney hotel for a luxury stay?

The Disneyland Hotel is the resort’s luxury hotel, by a long way. Fully renovated, it has princess theming on every floor, a spa called Le Spa du Château, fine-dining restaurants and the very exclusive Castle Club. For the ultimate stay, Castle Club rooms include breakfast with the princesses, a private lounge and a dedicated concierge. It is the only Disney hotel in the resort rated as luxury.

09 Is it better to book an all-inclusive package or book hotel, train and tickets separately?

In most cases, I find it cheaper to book transport separately from accommodation and tickets. The best option is often to book the hotel and tickets on the official Disneyland Paris website, then buy your SNCF train tickets yourself. It means two bookings instead of one, but the total is usually lower. All-inclusive packages (such as Carrefour Voyages) are still worth considering for simplicity, with no need to compare.

10 Who can get Extra Magic Time, and do you need to book?

You’re entitled to it in three cases: if you’re staying at an official Disney hotel (on your arrival day, during your stay and on your departure day), if you’re staying at Villages Nature Paris with a package that includes access, or if you hold a valid Disneyland Pass Gold. Bronze One, Bronze Max and Silver passes don’t include this early access. No booking is needed: just turn up at the park entrance about one hour before official opening, with your MagicPass or your Gold pass. Hotel guests should check in online to make the most of it from the first day.

11 Which rides are open during Extra Magic Time?

In Disneyland Park (12 attractions): Le Carrousel de Lancelot, Peter Pan’s Flight, Dumbo the Flying Elephant, Mad Hatter’s Tea Cups, Princess Pavilion, Phantom Manor, Big Thunder Mountain, Thunder Mesa Riverboat Landing, Buzz Lightyear Laser Blast, Orbitron, Star Wars Hyperspace Mountain, Star Tours: The Adventures Continue. In Disney Adventure World (8 attractions): The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror, Les Tapis Volants - Flying Carpets Over Agrabah, Toy Soldiers Parachute Drop, Slinky Dog Zigzag Spin, RC Racer, Crush’s Coaster, Cars Quatre Roues Rallye, Ratatouille : L’Aventure Totalement Toquée de Rémy. The list can vary from day to day.

12 Which Disney hotels have a pool?

5 of the 7 official Disney hotels have a pool: the Disneyland Hotel (indoor pool only, with hot tub, steam room and sauna), the Hotel New York - The Art of Marvel (indoor and outdoor), the Newport Bay Club (indoor and outdoor with a large pool), the Sequoia Lodge (indoor and outdoor) and the Davy Crockett Ranch (indoor, the largest in the resort, with a slide). The Hotel Cheyenne and the Hotel Santa Fe don’t have a pool.

13 Can you pay for your holiday in instalments and how much is the deposit?

Yes, for a hotel + ticket package booked on disneylandparis.com: you pay a 15% deposit when you book, then the balance in several interest-free instalments, no later than 10 days before arrival (11 days by phone). Spreading the payment is possible as soon as you book more than 10 days before your stay. If you cancel during the free cancellation period, your deposit is refunded.

14 How do I pay the balance of my Disneyland Paris booking?

To pay the balance, go to disneylandparis.com, "My Account" section, then the "My Bookings" tab. Enter your booking number and the name of one of the guests on the booking to access your file and pay. The balance must be paid no later than 10 days before your arrival date (11 days if you go through the reservation centre by phone).

15 Once I’ve booked, how do I get my tickets?

Your tickets are in the "My Bookings" section of your Disney account, which you can reach from the link in your confirmation email. You can save them on your phone or print them: the QR code is scanned at the park entrance. My tip: also add your tickets to the official Disneyland Paris app, it’s even easier on the day.

16 Can you book a Disney hotel room without a park ticket?

Yes, you can: this is often called a "room-only" stay, a Disney hotel room booked without park tickets. It’s useful to extend a stay, or for someone travelling with you who isn’t visiting the parks. You book it by phone through the Disneyland Paris reservation centre.

17 What time are check-in and check-out at the Disney hotels?

In most Disney hotels, your room is available from 15:00 on your arrival day (16:00 at the Davy Crockett Ranch and Center Parcs). On your departure day, you must leave the room by 11:00. If your room isn’t ready when you arrive, you can head to the parks: leave your bags at the hotel’s luggage storage or in your car if you prefer.

18 Is the MagicPass available in the app?

Yes for Disney hotels, after your online check-in (possible 7 days before arrival): the MagicPass then appears in the Disneyland Paris app. Watch out, not all hotels offer a digital room key: in some, it’s a physical card you collect at reception on the day.

19 Can you enjoy Extra Magic Time from the first day of your stay?

Yes, it’s possible from the first day. To do so, you need to have checked in online beforehand and use your MagicPasses, available in the Disneyland Paris app.

20 Is the tourist tax included in a Disney package holiday?

In a package holiday booked through Disneyland Paris or an official reseller, the tourist tax is already included in the price: you have nothing to pay on arrival. It’s charged per adult and per night, and the amount varies with the hotel category. It doesn’t apply to tickets on their own, without a hotel night.

21 Is there a water park at Disneyland Paris?

No, Disneyland Paris doesn’t have a dedicated water park with giant slides or a wave pool. The closest thing on site is the Disney hotel pools, in particular the one at the Sequoia Lodge and above all the one at the Davy Crockett Ranch, the largest in the resort, with a slide. They’re only open to hotel guests. The nearest water park, strictly speaking, is Aqua Mundo at Center Parcs Villages Nature Paris, about fifteen minutes from the park: an indoor heated area, plus a large outdoor area with a wild river, sun loungers and lake views. To compare the Disney hotel pools, you’ll find all the details in my guide to the hotel pools.

22 Can you visit the Disneyland Hotel without staying there?

No, not freely since 1 November 2025. Entry is limited to hotel guests and to visitors with a confirmed booking for a hotel service (restaurant, treatment at the Clarins spa, the Mon Rêve Royal experience or a business event). You can no longer just walk into the lobby: to visit, book a meal or a treatment in advance and show your confirmation at the entrance.

23 How do you book a Castle Club (or Deluxe) room at the Disneyland Hotel?

Castle Club rooms aren’t usually shown online: you need to call the Disneyland Paris booking line directly on +33 1 60 30 60 90. Availability is very limited (the Castle Club only takes up the top two floors of the Disneyland Hotel), so I recommend booking several months ahead, especially for the French school holidays. Also plan for park entry: the room doesn’t include a ticket, so you’ll need a valid ticket or pass on top.

01 What is the Disneyland Pass?

The Disneyland Pass is Disneyland Paris’s current annual pass programme, launched on 19 July 2023. It replaced the old Infinity, Magic Plus, Magic Flex and Discovery passes. On 12 February 2026, a new Bronze One tier joined the range, which now has four passes: Bronze One, Bronze Max, Silver and Gold. Each tier gives a different number of access days and includes its own perks in the parks.

02 What are the 2026 Disneyland Pass prices?

Here are the prices for 2026. Bronze One: €289. Bronze Max: €399. Silver: €569. Gold: €799. These prices are per person for one year’s validity, and you can pay upfront or in monthly instalments.

03 How many access days does each Disneyland Pass give?

The number of access days depends on your pass. Bronze One: 170 days. Bronze Max: 210 days. Silver: 300 days. Gold: 365 days (unlimited). To check which days are open to your pass, you can see the official availability calendar in your Disneyland Paris personal account and on my blog.

04 Is the Disneyland Pass worth it?

It all depends on how often you visit. Here’s the simple way to work it out: take the average price of a dated ticket for the dates you plan to come, multiply it by the number of visits you expect over the year, and compare it with the price of the annual pass. The pass becomes worth it as soon as you plan several visits, especially in peak season when dated tickets are at their most expensive. Don’t forget to add the indirect savings: parking included, shop and restaurant discounts (with Silver and Gold), PhotoPass included (with Gold) and access to offers reserved for annual pass holders on Disney hotels or Disney evening events and Pop-Up Surprises.

05 What discounts do Disneyland Pass holders get?

The discounts depend on your pass. With the Bronze One and Bronze Max passes, you don’t get any discount in shops or restaurants. With the Silver pass, you get -10% in the shops and restaurants of the parks and Disney Village and -10% on PhotoPass. With the Gold pass, it’s -15% in shops and restaurants, PhotoPass is included free of charge and you get Extra Magic Time. For stays in Disney hotels, occasional discounts are offered, which vary with the time of year and don’t depend on your type of pass. The up-to-date details are in your Disneyland Paris personal account and in the Disneyland Pass section of my blog.

06 How do you buy a Disneyland Pass?

There are two main ways. Online, on the official website disneylandparis.com, in the annual pass section: you choose your pass, pay, and then just need to go to the ticket desks to collect your physical card with photo (if you want the physical card). On site, at the annual pass desks located before the park entrances, usually under the Disneyland Hotel (except during refurbishment). You don’t need an entry ticket to get there: you can come just to sign up.

07 Do you need to book your visit date with a Disneyland Pass?

Yes, booking is compulsory for all Disneyland Pass tiers, as it is for undated tickets (Billet Liberté in French). The pass gives you the right to enter, but you must register each visit date in advance, even on a day when the park looks quiet. Without a registered date, you will be refused entry. You book in your Disneyland Paris personal account or in the mobile app.

08 How do you stop or not renew your Disneyland Pass?

The Disneyland Pass doesn’t renew automatically: it expires on its end date. So to stop it, you simply don’t renew it. There’s nothing to cancel. If you chose to pay in monthly instalments, these carry on until the end of your year’s commitment.

09 Does the Disneyland Pass give a discount on Disney hotel nights?

Yes, the Disneyland Pass gives you discounts on stays and nights in Disney hotels, which vary depending on your tier and the time of year. The current offers are shown in this article.

10 Is there a discount for renewing the Disneyland Pass and how do you get it?

Yes. A 15% discount applies when you renew within the set window (1 month before to 1 month after your pass’s end date). Watch out: you can only get it at the annual pass desks at Disneyland Park. You can’t renew online (online, you can only buy a new pass at full price). When you renew there within this window, the discount is applied automatically, with no code or extra step, and you get a free Disneyland Pass lanyard.

During your visit

01 When is the best time to visit Disneyland Paris?

The quietest periods are January, March and September. If you don’t like crowds, avoid July-August, the French autumn half-term (Toussaint, Halloween season), the Christmas holidays and weekends in May. Midweek, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday are the best days, and Saturday is the busiest. On the other hand, the Halloween and Christmas seasons bring extra decorations and shows, at the cost of bigger crowds.

02 How many days do you need for Disneyland Paris?

One day is enough to see the highlights of a single park if you pick your priorities. Two days is ideal to visit Disneyland Park and Disney Adventure World at a relaxed pace, one day per park. Beyond that, the pace becomes more laid-back and you can go back on your favourite rides. For a first visit with kids, I recommend 2 nights / 3 days.

03 How far in advance should you book your stay or tickets?

As early as possible. Disneyland Paris prices are dynamic: the earlier you book, the less you pay. For dated tickets, aim for at least 3 months ahead, and 6 to 9 months for a Disney hotel on very popular dates (French school holidays, French bank holidays in May, Halloween, Christmas). Booking calendars often open even further ahead, so as soon as your dates are certain, book. For table service restaurants, you can book up to 2 months ahead in the official app if you’re visiting for the day, and up to 1 year ahead if you’re staying in a Disney hotel.

04 What time should you arrive at Disneyland Paris to avoid the queue at the entrance?

At least 30 minutes before official opening time, ideally 45 minutes at busy times. Once you’ve been through the security check and then the turnstiles, you’ll be in place at the park gates as soon as it opens. The first 90 minutes of the day are the most valuable: that’s when you can do 3 or 4 major rides back to back without much of a queue.

05 How many rides can you do in one day at Disneyland Paris?

At quiet times and with good planning, expect 10 to 15 rides over a full day. At busy times, more like 6 to 8. What really makes the difference: arriving 30 minutes before opening, eating at off-peak times (lunch at 11:30 or 14:00), making the most of the last hour before closing (the queues empty) and using Premier Access strategically on 2 or 3 very popular rides.

06 Is Premier Access worth it on a first visit?

It depends on the day. Premier Access is paid on top of your ticket, from €5 per ride and per go, and the price climbs on busy days. On busy days (French school holidays, weekends, the Halloween and Christmas seasons) and on the big rides where the wait often goes over an hour, it’s worth it on one or two very popular rides. On a quiet day, it isn’t essential: if you arrive at opening time and follow a logical order, you won’t queue much without paying anything. You buy it in the official app, on the day for Premier Access One. Premier Access Ultimate can also be bought in advance. All the details are in my Premier Access guide.

07 Do you really need the official Disneyland Paris app?

Yes, I consider it an essential tool these days. It shows live queue times and show and parade times, and lets you book table service restaurants, manage your tickets and buy Premier Access. Remember to download it and log in to your Disney account before you arrive, as the network can be overloaded on some days.

08 Is it better to stay in a Disney hotel or a partner hotel?

It all depends on your budget and your strategy. Disney hotel: you get Extra Magic Time (access to the parks up to 1 hour before official opening on some headline rides), delivery of your shopping to the hotel, the official shuttle bus and a themed atmosphere. Partner hotel (Explorers, Adagio or B&B, among others): prices are often lower, a free shuttle is usually provided but it isn’t an official Disney one, and breakfast isn’t always included in the price (check when you book). For a first stay, I’d tend to recommend a Disney hotel. To keep the budget down, a partner hotel.

09 Is Disneyland Paris worth it for a group of adult friends?

Yes, Disneyland Paris is worth it for a group of adult friends. You can focus on the thrill rides, the most intense of which are mainly in Disney Adventure World. On several of them, the free Single Rider queue often saves you time: you queue together, then each of you takes a seat that’s been left empty. In the evening, each park ends the day with its night-time show, then Disney Village, which stays open after the parks close, keeps the evening going. As a group, you can share the room and the parking, which brings down the cost per person. I suggest choosing together, before you leave, the rides everyone wants to do and setting a shared food budget, so you don’t end up going in different directions. For a hen do or stag do, I have a dedicated guide. I also have one for visiting as a couple, solo or with seniors.

10 Is Disneyland Paris suitable for very young children?

Yes. Entry is free for under-3s (no ticket needed). Plenty of rides are suitable from a very young age, especially in Fantasyland ("it’s a small world", Le Carrousel de Lancelot, Peter Pan’s Flight). Rider Switch (formerly Baby Switch) lets parents take turns on rides with height restrictions without queuing again. There are Baby Care Centres (changing, breastfeeding, bottle warmers) in each park.

11 How does Rider Switch work at Disneyland Paris?

Rider Switch (formerly Baby Switch) lets two adults take turns on a ride with a height restriction (or one that’s not recommended for someone) without queuing twice. Explain your situation to the Cast Member at the ride entrance. One adult rides while the other waits with the child. When they come back, the adult who stayed outside goes straight through the priority queue or Premier Access, depending on the instructions given. The service is free and works on most rides with height restrictions in both parks.

12 What can you do at Disneyland Paris when it rains?

Rain won’t ruin a day at Disneyland Paris if you adapt your plan. My go-to moves: bring a rain poncho (more practical than an umbrella in queues), focus on indoor rides (Phantom Manor, Pirates of the Caribbean, Ratatouille, Crush’s Coaster, Spider-Man W.E.B. Adventure, "it’s a small world"), spend time under the arcades of Main Street U.S.A. or in the shops and see indoor shows such as Mickey and the Magician in Disney Adventure World (when it’s scheduled, check the show schedule on the day). Rainy days are often less crowded, which is an advantage worth using.

13 How do you get between Disneyland Park and Disney Adventure World?

The two parks are right next to each other. You can walk from one to the other in 5 minutes across the central plaza (Fantasia Garden). You need a 2-park ticket to get into both on the same day. With a 1-park ticket, you stay in the park where your ticket was first scanned. No shuttle is needed between the two, and that’s one of the great strengths of Disneyland Paris.

14 Does it rain a lot at Disneyland Paris?

Yes, rain is part of the Paris region’s climate: the park gets a lot of rainy days over the year, as the month-by-month table above shows. It’s mostly showers, and the park is designed with plenty of covered walkways so you can carry on visiting in the dry.

15 Should you cancel your visit because of the weather?

In the vast majority of cases, no. The park is set up to run in rain, cold weather and snow as well as in strong heat, and the visit stays enjoyable if you prepare well. Cancellation terms mainly depend on your type of ticket or holiday, not on the weather.

16 Can you use the pool at a Disney hotel other than your own?

No. The pools are strictly for each hotel’s own guests and access is checked with a wristband or room key. However, the lobbies, restaurants and bars of the other official Disney hotels are open to all guests of official Disney hotels: handy for getting a feel for Disney Hotel New York - The Art of Marvel or Sequoia Lodge without staying there.

17 What is Disney Village and how do you get there?

Disney Village is the free-entry leisure area located between the two parks (Disneyland Park and Disney Adventure World) and the Disney hotels. You’ll find restaurants, bars, shops and a cinema there. It’s right next to the station (RER A, the Paris suburban train, and TGV high-speed trains) and the park entrance.

18 What are Disney Village’s opening hours?

In Disney Village, the first venues open from 8:00 (breakfast), and most of them around 9:00-10:00. Each business sets its own hours. Closing times are spread out late into the evening, usually between midnight and 1:00. So the hours are longer than the parks’, which makes it a good option for the end of the day. I recommend checking the hours for your visit date on the official Disneyland Paris website.

19 What can you do in Disney Village?

Disney Village brings several kinds of entertainment together in one place: restaurants for every budget, bars, an amusement arcade, a cinema, the PanoraMagique balloon and a whole shopping area full of souvenirs for all ages. It’s a handy place to round off the day at a relaxed pace after the parks.

20 Is there a dress code at Disneyland Paris?

Yes, there are a few rules about what you can wear. Costumes and masks are not allowed for visitors aged 12 and over, except for medical reasons, so younger children can come dressed up. Any outfit or mask that covers the whole face is banned for safety reasons. Apart from that, wear whatever you like. My advice: above all, go for comfortable shoes, as you’ll be doing a lot of walking.

21 What security checks are there at the park entrance?

At the park entrance, Disneyland Paris may carry out a visual check, or a check with special equipment, of your clothing and belongings, for security reasons. So allow a little time to get through this check, especially at busy times. My advice: keep what’s in your bag to a minimum and arrive early so you can get in stress-free. The exact rules are set out in the park regulations on the official Disneyland Paris website.

22 Where can you find the park opening hours day by day?

Opening hours vary from day to day and with the time of year, so always check for your exact date. The official calendar on the Disneyland Paris website is updated daily and shows each park’s opening and closing times. The Disneyland Paris app and my blog also give this information. My advice: check the opening hours a few days before your visit, as they can change.

23 What should you do if your child gets lost in a Disney park?

Tell the nearest Cast Member (park employee) straight away: staff are trained to handle these situations and a search is started. Each park has a lost children meeting point, where a Cast Member looks after your child until you get there. My advice before your visit: agree on a meeting point with your child and put a phone number on them.

24 Which park should you choose for a one-day first visit?

For a first visit of just one day, I recommend Disneyland Park. With a 1-day 1-park ticket, it’s the most complete option: the castle, the parade and the big rides for all ages, in the original world dreamt up by Walt Disney.

25 Which park is best with young kids?

Disneyland Park. It has more rides designed for little ones, especially in Fantasyland, and an atmosphere that suits them well.

26 Can you know the crowd levels at Disneyland Paris in advance?

Yes, on my blog I offer a crowd calendar for Disneyland Paris. It’s based on attendance in previous years, so actual crowd levels can vary, especially since dynamic pricing came in, which naturally tends to even out attendance.

27 What is there to do around Disneyland Paris outside the parks?

There’s no shortage of options nearby: animal parks such as Parrot World or the Parc des Félins, the SEA LIFE Paris Val d’Europe aquarium, the Imagi Park leisure complex, the Villages Nature water park, shopping at Val d’Europe and La Vallée Village, golf, walks along the Marne or day trips to Paris, Provins and Parc Astérix.

28 Disneyland Paris or Parc Astérix: which one should you choose?

Parc Astérix, in Plailly (about 50 minutes away), focuses on rollercoasters and the world of the Gauls, whereas Disneyland Paris offers a very different atmosphere and very different rides. I’ve written a detailed comparison on the blog to help you choose based on what you’re looking for.

29 Can you bring your own food and a picnic to Disneyland Paris?

Yes. Your own cold food is allowed (sandwiches, snacks, fruit, cakes, water bottle) in a rucksack or a small soft cool bag, and there’s a picnic area between Disney Village and the car parks. Not allowed: alcohol, glass containers, knives and large rigid cool boxes. I always pop a water bottle and some biscuits in my bag. It heads off energy slumps and queues at the counter, and it keeps the bill down.

30 How early should you arrive for Disney Cascade of Lights?

By the lake in Disney Adventure World, allow 30 to 45 minutes before the show for a good spot as a rule, and 45 to 60 minutes for the best views facing the stage when it’s very busy. Spots further back can be taken later.

31 Why is Mulan a Disney princess?

Mulan is one of the Disney Princesses even though she isn’t of royal blood and doesn’t marry a prince: she was included for her heroic act of saving China. She officially joined the franchise after a popularity contest in 2006.

32 Should you cancel your Disneyland Paris visit because of wind?

No. Your day will hold up very well: most rides and restaurants aren’t affected. Only some outdoor shows may be shortened or cancelled. Just bring a windproof layer.

33 How can you tell if the wind will be too strong on the day of your visit?

Check the weather forecast and the official warnings from France’s national weather service for Seine-et-Marne the day before and that morning. In the parks, staff announce any show cancellations throughout the day.

34 Is there a gift at the end of the Discovery Quest?

Yes. Once the trail is finished, your child collects a small souvenir gift from the hotel shop (what it is may vary with the time of year).

35 How long does the Discovery Quest take?

Allow around 30 minutes to 1 hour. It’s played on a phone, at your own pace: you can take a break and pick it up again later in the day.

36 Can the drone show be cancelled because of the weather?

Yes. The drones don’t fly in strong wind, and the show may then go ahead without them or be cancelled. Rain can also disrupt it. The safest bet is to check the day’s programme in the official Disneyland Paris app before planning your evening around the show.

Services and extras

01 What is Premier Access?

Premier Access is the paid fast track service at Disneyland Paris. It comes in two options: Premier Access One (you buy access to a single ride at a set time, in the app on the day of your visit or at City Hall) and Premier Access Ultimate (a day pack that gives you priority access to all eligible rides in both parks, once each). My advice is to go for One when you only have one or two rides to secure, and switch to Ultimate when you want to go from ride to ride without thinking about it.

02 Premier Access One or Premier Access Ultimate: which should you choose?

You have two options depending on your budget and how you like to visit. Premier Access One (bought one at a time in the app or at City Hall) is ideal if you’re only targeting one or two specific rides during the day. Premier Access Ultimate is the day pack that bundles all eligible rides in both parks into a single price: perfect for a short, intense 1-day visit where you want to do everything back to back without counting. As a rough guide, One costs between €5 and €23 per ride, and Ultimate between €110 and €230 for the day. For a first-time family visiting for 1 day, Ultimate can be worth it if the budget allows. Otherwise, One on the 2-3 rides you’re most worried about often does the job.

03 Which rides are eligible for Premier Access in 2026 at Disneyland Paris?

Several iconic rides in both parks are eligible for Premier Access. In Disneyland Park, you’ll find "it’s a small world", Autopia, Big Thunder Mountain, Buzz Lightyear Laser Blast, Indiana Jones and the Temple of Peril, Orbitron, Peter Pan’s Flight, Phantom Manor, Pirates of the Caribbean, Star Tours and Star Wars Hyperspace Mountain. In Disney Adventure World, they are Avengers Assemble: Flight Force, Cars ROAD TRIP, Crush’s Coaster, Frozen Ever After, Raiponce Tangled Spin, Ratatouille, Spider-Man W.E.B. Adventure and The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror. A small detail worth remembering: Orbitron is only eligible for Premier Access One, not Ultimate. The up-to-date list and the minimum heights are shown in the Disneyland Paris app at the time of your visit.

04 How do you use the Disneyland Paris app?

The Disneyland Paris app is essential to get the most out of your day. In it you’ll find the interactive park map, real-time queue times, show and parade times, Premier Access purchases (One and Ultimate), restaurant bookings and your scannable entry ticket. Note that the PhotoPass gallery isn’t available in the Disneyland Paris app. You have to use the dedicated official Disney PhotoPass website, where you create a separate account to find your photos. Download the app and create your account BEFORE you come, linking your tickets in advance, as it saves stress when you arrive.

05 How do you celebrate a birthday at Disneyland Paris?

It’s one of the most special occasions to visit Disneyland Paris, and a few small touches make the day one to remember. The free thing not to miss: pick up a birthday badge at City Hall, at Studio Services or at the concierge desk of your Disney hotel. Cast Members and characters spot it and celebrate your child all day long. You can also get a phone call from Mickey at City Hall. For restaurants, you can order a personalised cake in most table-service and buffet restaurants (just mention it when you book or when you arrive). For hotels, say it’s a birthday when you book online: some hotels add a few special touches to the room, at their discretion. For a premium experience, some VIP packages are also available.

06 How do I create my free Disney account?

Creating a Disney account is free. On the disneylandparis.com website, click "Sign in" at the top of the page, then follow the steps to register. In the Disneyland Paris mobile app, you create it in the "Profile" section. If you buy a ticket or a holiday without an account, the website will offer to create one when you pay. My tip: create it before you book, as it saves you time on the day you buy. And if you have a Disney+ account, you can use the same account.

07 Why do I need a Disney account to buy a ticket or book a holiday?

Your Disney account is the single account that brings together your Disneyland Paris purchases and bookings (as well as all your Disney services, including Disney+). It lets you buy your tickets and book a holiday or an annual pass, then find and manage everything in one place. It’s also what protects your booking details with a password. In practice, it’s how you keep track of your booking before and during your visit.

08 I can’t sign in to my Disney account, what should I do?

First check your password: it’s case-sensitive. If you’ve forgotten it, click "Need help signing in?" on the sign-in screen to reset it. If you already had a Disneyland Paris account created before 25 February 2020, you need to reset your password to sign in for the first time. If the problem continues, Disneyland Paris customer service can help you.

09 Is PhotoPass+ a good investment?

PhotoPass+ is mainly worth it if you’re coming for several days and want to get as many photos as possible, if you love meeting Disney characters or if you want high-quality memories without relying on your smartphone. My tip: if you have an annual pass, PhotoPass+ may be included, which makes it even better value.

10 Can adults celebrate their birthday at Disneyland Paris?

Yes, celebrating your birthday at Disneyland Paris as an adult is absolutely possible. Lots of adult visitors come to spend their special day in the parks. The birthday badge is available for all ages, just ask a Cast Member.

11 Is there a free fast track at Disneyland Paris?

No, there’s no free fast track any more since FastPass ended in 2021. Today, only Premier Access lets you cut your wait, and it’s paid. There are still free ways to save time: arrive at opening, head for the big rides first, use Single Rider where available and ride during a parade or a show, when the queues empty.

12 How do you contact Disneyland Paris by live chat?

Disneyland Paris offers a live chat on its official website. It isn’t available all the time, but you’ll usually find it during the day, in the bottom right corner of any page on the website, in a window called "Need help".

13 How do you get your PhotoPass photos after your visit?

You get your photos on the official Disney PhotoPass website (disneyphotopass.eu). They can also be viewed in the Disney PhotoPass app, but the website is still the best place to download them in HD. You sign in to your Disney account, link your PhotoPass+ card number, then go to your gallery to download your shots in HD. Make sure all your photos are scanned to the right account on the same day. How long it stays valid depends on your profile. With a standard ticket, PhotoPass+ lets you add photos for 10 days, then online access lasts 1 year to download them. With an annual pass, validity is extended to 1 year.

14 Is PhotoPass+ included with an annual pass?

It depends on your annual pass. With the Gold pass, PhotoPass+ is included free of charge, which is one of the big perks of this pass. With the Silver pass, you get -10% off the price. With the Bronze passes, there’s no discount and you pay the standard price, which is €90. Without a bundle, you can still buy your photos individually from €15. If you take a lot of photos, it’s a real reason to compare the cost of upgrading to Gold.

15 Where can you buy PhotoPass+ at Disneyland Paris?

You can add PhotoPass+ to your booking on the official Disneyland Paris website, or buy it on site in the PhotoPass+ shops in both parks (for example New Century Notions on Main Street U.S.A.) and in some ride photo shops, such as Big Thunder Mountain.

16 Is a Magic Shot the same thing as a ride photo?

No. A Magic Shot is a photo taken by a PhotoPass photographer in the park, with a Disney character or effect added afterwards (Tinker Bell in your hand, for example). A ride photo, on the other hand, is taken automatically during some thrill rides. They’re two different things, but you can get both with PhotoPass.

17 Is entry free on your birthday at Disneyland Paris?

No, Disneyland Paris doesn’t offer free entry on your birthday. That rumour comes from other parks around the world. However, the birthday badge, the sticker and the call from Mickey are free: just ask at City Hall.

Events and seasons

See the whole topic →
01 What are the main seasons and events at Disneyland Paris?

Two big seasons shape the year: Halloween (from 26 September to 1 November) and Christmas (from 7 November to 6 January). On top of these come special days (the park’s anniversary on 12 April, Star Wars Day on 4 May, 14 July) and sometimes festivals.

02 What are the dates of this year’s Halloween season at Disneyland Paris?

The Halloween season runs from 26 September to 1 November, at Disneyland Park. The pumpkin decorations are concentrated on Main Street U.S.A. and in Frontierland, with Disney villains to meet and a dedicated parade. On 31 October, both parks extend their opening hours into the evening (exact times on the official calendar).

03 What are the dates of this year’s Christmas season at Disneyland Paris?

The Christmas season runs from 7 November to 6 January, in both parks, with most of the decorations in Disneyland Park. The park is dressed with Christmas trees, lights and artificial snow, with a dedicated parade and plenty of character meet and greets in festive outfits. It’s one of the most popular and busiest times of the year.

04 Which major anniversaries has Disneyland Paris celebrated or will it celebrate?

Disneyland Paris marks its major anniversaries with special programming: dedicated decorations, brand-new shows, commemorative costumes and new features. The most recent was the 30th anniversary (2022-2023). The next will be the park’s 35th anniversary, planned for 2027.

05 How can you find out which events are on during your visit?

On the official Disneyland Paris website and in the Disneyland Paris app, under Calendar or Seasons. You can also check my calendar of seasons and events, updated regularly.

06 Can you come in costume for the Halloween season?

Yes, but costumes are for children under 12 only. An exception is made on the evening of 31 October: on that day, everyone can normally come dressed up. Costumes are sometimes allowed on Star Wars Day (4 May) too.

07 Until when can you meet Santa Claus at Disneyland Paris?

Santa Claus is there during the Christmas season. You’ll spot him in the parade throughout the season. For a photo, you can meet him in his workshop in the Disney Clothiers shop (Main Street U.S.A.), up to and including 25 December. After that, he heads back to the North Pole.

08 How much is a New Year’s Eve ticket at Disneyland Paris?

The 31 December ticket is a dated ticket with a fixed price, among the most expensive of the year. Expect around €150 per adult for 1 park and €185 for 2 parks. The undated ticket (Billet Liberté in French) isn’t valid that day. All the prices, children included, are in my New Year’s Eve guide.

09 What time are the New Year’s Eve fireworks and where can you watch them?

The special New Year fireworks go off at midnight above Sleeping Beauty Castle. You get a very good view from Central Plaza or Main Street U.S.A. Get there early to claim your spot, as these areas fill up fast and crowds are heavy on 31 December. At Disney Adventure World, a drone show (weather permitting) with pyrotechnics also takes place at midnight, above the World of Frozen.

10 How do you order a Christmas gift box in a Disney hotel?

Ask your Disney hotel’s concierge, ideally at least 7 days before your arrival date to be sure of getting one.

11 Where do you collect the Christmas gift box?

It’s handed to you during your stay, at the Disney hotel where you ordered it.

12 What are the dates of the Halloween Festival at Disneyland Paris?

The Disney Halloween Festival runs from 26 September to 1 November. On 31 October, Halloween night, the park extends its opening hours into the evening.

13 Do you need a special ticket for New Year’s Eve and how much does it cost?

No, there’s no longer a separate "evening" ticket: the evening of 31 December is now included in the dated ticket for that day, in a Disney holiday that includes the parks or with a Disneyland Pass valid on that date. This dated ticket has a fixed price and costs more than a standard ticket. Expect around €150 per adult for 1 park and €185 for 2 parks. The undated ticket (Billet Liberté in French) isn’t valid that day. Both parks usually stay open until 1:00 in the morning. Note: New Year’s Eve used to be a separate evening event that required an extra ticket, but that’s no longer the case.

01 How many rides are there in total at Disneyland Paris?

Disneyland Paris has 50 attractions in total, spread across the two parks. You’ll find 37 attractions in Disneyland Park and 13 attractions in Disney Adventure World. I’ve listed every attraction park by park and land by land in my dedicated article, so you can plan your visit without missing a thing.

02 Which iconic attractions are not to be missed at Disneyland Park?

For a first visit to Disneyland Park, I strongly recommend a handful of essentials. Big Thunder Mountain is the most popular ride in the park, with thrills the whole family can enjoy. Phantom Manor is still something special, with a really well-crafted atmosphere. Pirates of the Caribbean is an immersive boat ride that kids and grown-ups love. Peter Pan’s Flight, although it’s short, is an iconic ride that is always in demand. Star Wars Hyperspace Mountain is the park’s big thrill ride. And don’t forget Sleeping Beauty Castle, which rises to 50 metres and remains the symbol of Disneyland Paris.

03 What are the top rides at Disney Adventure World?

At Disney Adventure World, I have my favourite rides. Tower of Terror, at 63 metres, is the tallest ride in the whole of Disneyland Paris and guarantees big thrills. Avengers Assemble: Flight Force is still the fastest ride in the resort. Crush’s Coaster is a cult favourite but has the longest queues. Ratatouille is an immersive ride you shouldn’t miss. Frozen Ever After, in the new World of Frozen land that opened on 29 March 2026, is the big new ride you really must try. Spider-Man W.E.B. Adventure completes the list of highlights at Avengers Campus.

04 What are the minimum heights for each ride at Disneyland Paris?

Here are the minimum heights for the thrill rides at Disneyland Paris. In Disneyland Park: Autopia 0.81 m, Star Tours and Big Thunder Mountain 1.02 m, Star Wars Hyperspace Mountain 1.20 m, Indiana Jones and the Temple of Peril 1.40 m. In Disney Adventure World: Toy Soldiers Parachute Drop 0.81 m, The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror 1.02 m, Crush’s Coaster 1.07 m, Avengers Assemble: Flight Force and RC Racer 1.20 m. The other rides have no height restrictions, which makes them ideal for families with young children.

05 How can you avoid long queues for the most popular rides?

To avoid long queues at Disneyland Paris, I combine several tactics. First, Single Rider is free and really speeds things up on the rides that offer it, including Crush’s Coaster, Flight Force, Ratatouille and Spider-Man, as long as you’re happy not to ride with your group. Next, Disney Premier Access is a paid service that gives you priority access to the headline rides. If you’re staying in a Disney hotel, Extra Magic Time lets you into the park before official opening, and it’s the best time to ride the popular attractions back to back without queuing. Finally, heading to the most popular rides during a parade or a big show empties the queues considerably.

06 When did World of Frozen open and what can you do there?

World of Frozen opened to the public on 29 March 2026 at Disney Adventure World, after previews for annual pass holders on 15, 18 and 23-25 March. Across 9,800 m², you can enjoy Frozen Ever After, an immersive water dark ride in the world of Anna and Elsa. The Nordic Crowns Tavern restaurant serves Nordic food. The show A Celebration in Arendelle takes place by the lake with an Audio-Animatronics Olaf. You can meet Anna and Elsa at dedicated spots. The land is towered over by a 36-metre snowy mountain and Elsa’s 13-metre ice palace with over 300 crystals.

07 How can I find out if a ride will be closed for refurbishment during my trip?

Disneyland Paris publishes the list of rides closed for refurbishment on its official website, several weeks in advance. Because the parks are open all year round, the maintenance teams sometimes work on days when the parks are open, which leads to temporary closures. My advice: check this calendar (or the one on my blog) before booking, especially if there’s one particular ride you really care about.

08 Are the queue times shown in the park reliable?

Yes, the queue times shown in the app or on the screens around the park are generally reliable. They’re often the same as, or slightly longer than, the real wait, which helps you plan your day better.

09 Does wind close rides at Disneyland Paris?

Yes, a few tall outdoor rides can close temporarily in high winds, for safety reasons. The vast majority of rides, indoors or close to the ground, stay open as normal.

10 From what age or height can you use the Rider Switch?

The Rider Switch (formerly Baby Switch) doesn’t depend on age but on your child’s height compared with the ride. As soon as they’re too short for a ride’s minimum height, you can use it: one parent stays with them while the other rides, then you swap without queuing again. The height requirements are listed in my guide to the minimum height for each ride.

11 Is there a minimum age for Phantom Manor, the haunted mansion?

No, Phantom Manor has no minimum age and no minimum height: everyone can ride it. It’s a gentle, dark ride with a mysterious atmosphere, but without anything truly frightening or any big thrills. Very young children who are sensitive to the dark may find it a little scary, so it’s your call.

12 What height do you need for rides with a baby?

A baby has no minimum height: they can go on all the gentle rides. For thrill rides where they’re too short, use the Rider Switch (formerly Baby Switch): one parent rides while the other looks after the baby, then you swap without queuing again. Height requirements then vary from ride to ride (often from 102 cm, 120 cm or 140 cm): the details are in my guide to the minimum height for each ride.

13 How long does a ride closure last at Disneyland Paris?

It depends on the type of work. Routine maintenance lasts anything from a few days to a few weeks. A major refurbishment runs for several months, often four to six months. For long closures, Disney sometimes announces the reopening date late.

Shows & Parades

See the whole topic →
01 What is the 2026 daytime parade at Disneyland Paris?

The daytime parade is called Disney Stars on Parade and takes place in Disneyland Park. It can be joined (and sometimes replaced) by a seasonal parade at Halloween and Christmas. I cover the best viewing spots in my dedicated article.

02 Which Christmas parade is on at Disneyland Paris?

Mickey’s Dazzling Christmas Parade!, at Disneyland Park, from 7 November to 6 January. There are two performances a day, including an illuminated night-time version that I love. I share the best viewing spots in my dedicated article.

03 What is the paid premium viewing area for a parade?

It’s a reserved area near the castle that you buy in the Disneyland Paris app (Buy section, then Shows and parades). The price varies by date, around €20 per person (free for under-3s). There’s no seating and you need to be there at least 10 minutes before the start time.

04 What is the night-time show at Disneyland Park?

The current night-time show is called Disney Tales of Magic, performed on Sleeping Beauty Castle and Main Street U.S.A. It lasts about 20 minutes and takes place at park closing. I cover every possible viewing spot in my dedicated article.

05 What is the night-time show at Disney Adventure World?

The current night-time show is called Disney Cascade of Lights, staged on Adventure Bay lake. It lasts around 17 minutes and takes place at park closing, with projections, fountains, drones and pyrotechnics. I share the best spots around the lake in my dedicated article.

06 What stage shows are on in 2026 at Disneyland Paris?

In 2026, 7 major stage shows are on: Mickey’s PhilharMagic, The Lion King: Rhythms of the Pride Lands, Animation Academy, Mickey and the Magician, Minnie’s Dream Factory, Stitch Live! and TOGETHER: a Pixar Musical Adventure. They take place in air-conditioned theatres at Disneyland Park and Disney Adventure World, with several performances a day.

07 What is the €15 Guaranteed Access and which shows does it cover?

A paid service that guarantees you a seat in the theatre without queuing, at €15 per person (one price for everyone aged 3 and over). You book it in the Disneyland Paris app for the shows that offer it: The Lion King: Rhythms of the Pride Lands, Mickey and the Magician and TOGETHER: a Pixar Musical Adventure. You need a valid park ticket, and it’s in your name only. Arrive 15 to 20 minutes before.

08 Where can you find today’s show and parade times?

In the Disneyland Paris app (the Today in the park section) or on my blog. The times change every day depending on the season and the crowds, so I recommend checking that same morning.

09 Are shows and parades included in the ticket?

Yes, all daytime shows, parades and night-time shows (Disney Tales of Magic and Disney Cascade of Lights) are included in the ticket price, in the free viewing areas. Only the paid premium viewing area (a reserved spot closer to the stage) and Guaranteed Access to a stage show are optional extras, which you buy in the Disneyland Paris app.

10 Are there wheelchair viewing areas for the night-time shows?

Yes, there’s an area for visitors with reduced mobility in each park, on showing the Disney Priority Card. The person concerned plus up to two companions are allowed in. Ask at the park entrance or at City Hall for the exact location on the day.

11 Is the night-time show loud?

The noise from the fireworks is very limited and doesn’t usually bother people who are sensitive to that kind of sound. The music, on the other hand, can be quite loud, especially for babies and young children. For them, I recommend ear defenders or earplugs.

12 Which shows are cancelled in strong wind at Disneyland Paris?

Shows that use tall elements are the first to be affected: the evening fireworks and drone show, the cavalcades with large sets and some street entertainment. Indoor shows aren’t affected by the wind.

13 Do the fireworks go ahead in strong wind?

Not always: the night-time show can be cancelled at the last minute if the wind goes above the safety limit. The decision is made on the evening itself, so ask at the entrance or check with a Cast Member.

14 Do you need to book or pay extra to see Miguel’s Fiesta Latina?

No. You can watch the show freely, with no booking or extra charge: it’s included in your admission ticket. Just turn up at showtime.

15 What time is the show on?

Several performances are scheduled every day, but the times change depending on the time of year. The easiest way is to check today’s show times shown on this page, or the park programme when you arrive.

16 Where should you stand to get a good view of the show?

The show takes place on Adventure Way, under the gazebo, in Disney Adventure World. Stand facing the gazebo a few minutes before it starts. As you watch it standing up, arrive a little early at busy times to get to the front.

17 Is the show suitable for children?

Yes. It’s a festive, colourful musical show with no scary effects: it suits all ages, including the youngest. Its short format is ideal for a family break between two rides.

18 How long does the show last?

It’s a short performance, best enjoyed as a break of a few minutes. As there are several performances during the day, choose the one that fits best into your plans.

01 How do you meet the Disney characters at Disneyland Paris?

There are four main ways to meet a character: in the park with a standard queue, in dedicated areas with a virtual queue in the Disneyland Paris app, during a character meal (character dining) or in some official Disney hotels. If you can’t get a meet and greet, you’ll also see the characters in the parades and shows.

02 How does a meet and greet with a standard queue work in the park?

Find where the meet and greet is (shown in the Disneyland Paris app and in the daily Programme), then join the queue there. The wait depends on the character and the time of day. You then have a few moments for a photo and an autograph.

03 How does a virtual queue meet and greet work?

For some very popular meet and greets (Princesses, Marvel heroes at Avengers Campus...), you don’t queue in person. You book a time slot in the Disneyland Paris app in advance, then come back at the time shown. It’s free, but the slots go fast. I’d recommend trying as soon as the park opens.

04 How does a character meal (character dining) work?

You book a restaurant where characters come to your table during the meal. There’s a photo and an autograph each time they stop by. Booking is strongly recommended, sometimes several weeks ahead. Prices and the full list are in my Restaurants FAQ and in my dedicated article.

05 Which Disney hotels have character meet and greets?

Almost all of them. The Disneyland Hotel, Disney Hotel New York - The Art of Marvel, Newport Bay Club, Sequoia Lodge, Hotel Cheyenne and Hotel Santa Fe all have meet and greets, in the lobby or near reception, usually for hotel guests only. Only the Davy Crockett Ranch has none. Schedules vary by hotel and season, so ask at reception as soon as you arrive.

06 If I can’t do a meet and greet, where can I see my favourite characters?

All the characters appear in the parades and shows, which are free and included in your ticket. You can also spot them during occasional musical moments on Central Plaza or in some lands. See my Shows & Parades FAQ for the details.

07 How can I find out which characters are out on the day?

In the Disneyland Paris app (under Today in the park or Characters) and on my blog. The line-up changes every day, and some meet and greets are only announced that same morning.

08 Do you need to book to meet a character?

It depends on the format. For a standard queue: no, just turn up. For a virtual queue: yes, you book a slot in the Disneyland Paris app. For character dining: yes, booking is strongly recommended. For hotel meet and greets: no, they’re usually included for hotel guests.

09 What is a Magic Shot at Disneyland Paris?

A Magic Shot is a photo effect from the Disney PhotoPass service, not an in-person meet and greet. A Disney photographer takes your picture at a set spot, then a character (Mickey, Stitch, Olaf...) or an effect is added to your photo digitally. You’ll find the result in your PhotoPass account. It’s quick, there’s no queue, and it’s a lovely way to leave with an original souvenir.

10 What time do character meet and greets start?

The first meet and greets usually start at park opening, around 9:30-10:00 depending on the character. Some only take place in the morning, others in the afternoon, and some at both times. The exact times change every day and you can check them in the official Disneyland Paris app and on my blog.

11 Where can you meet Mickey Mouse at Disneyland Paris?

You meet Mickey at the Meet Mickey Mouse attraction in Fantasyland, by booking through the official app. You can also meet him through a standard queue in Disney Adventure World, near the lake.

12 Which Disney characters can you meet at Disneyland Paris?

You can meet lots of iconic characters: Mickey, Minnie, Pluto, Goofy, the Disney Princesses, Stitch, Woody, the Marvel heroes, The Mandalorian and Grogu, Anna and Elsa, and many more. The line-up changes with the seasons and special events.

13 Which Disney hotel has the Princesses?

It’s the Disneyland Hotel, the iconic hotel at the entrance to Disneyland Park, designed entirely around a royal theme. Its character restaurant lets you meet Princesses during your meal (booking recommended). For every other spot, see my guide to meeting the Princesses at Disneyland Paris.

01 What are the different types of restaurants at Disneyland Paris?

At Disneyland Paris you can choose between 5 main types of restaurants. There are table-service restaurants and character dining. There are all-you-can-eat buffet restaurants, often themed. There are quick-service counters (Casey’s Corner, Café Hyperion, Stark Factory). Finally, there are snack stands and kiosks for ice cream, waffles and popcorn. Each restaurant is rated €, €€, €€€ or €€€€ to help you choose according to your budget. Counters and snack stands are open to walk-ins all day, whereas most table-service restaurants and all the buffets need a reservation.

02 Where can you eat cheaply in the Disneyland Paris parks?

To keep costs down, go for the quick-service counters rated €. Casey’s Corner serves hot dogs on Main Street, Café Hyperion does burgers and nuggets in Discoveryland, Colonel Hathi’s Outpost Restaurant serves pizza slices in Adventureland, and Cowboy Cookout Barbecue in Frontierland is still a good deal. Over at Disney Adventure World, Stark Factory and Super Diner remain affordable. Tip: Mobile Order (Click & Collect) in the app also lets you order at some counters without having to queue. And if you’re a bit peckish, a snack (waffle, churros, ice cream) for €5 to €10 does the job nicely.

03 How do you book a table at a Disneyland Paris restaurant?

You have four ways to book. The easiest is the official Disneyland Paris app ("Dining" section), from your Disney account. You can also call the booking line on +33 (0)1 60 30 40 50, use the official website via the Dining menu or book on site at City Hall, Studio Services or your Disney hotel’s concierge desk. Before you choose, I suggest downloading my free file by email, which brings together all the menus of the Disneyland Paris restaurants. It really helps you make up your mind.

04 How far in advance can you book a restaurant at Disneyland Paris?

It depends on how you’re visiting. If you’re staying in a Disney hotel, you can book up to 1 year ahead, as soon as your stay is confirmed: a real advantage for the most popular restaurants like the Auberge de Cendrillon or the character buffets. If you’re coming for the day, without a Disney hotel, you can book up to 2 months (60 days) ahead. You can book in the Disneyland Paris app, on the official website or by phone on +33 (0)1 60 30 40 50. My advice: book as soon as the window opens for character restaurants and for evenings at weekends or during French school holidays, otherwise the slots disappear fast.

05 Which restaurants need a reservation at Disneyland Paris?

Only table-service restaurants and buffets need a reservation. That includes iconic spots like Auberge de Cendrillon, Captain Jack’s, Silver Spur Steakhouse, Bistrot Chez Rémy, Plaza Gardens, Agrabah Café, Cape Cod, La Cantina and PYM Kitchen. Quick-service counters (Casey’s Corner, Café Hyperion, Stark Factory, etc.) and all the snack stands are open to walk-ins, with no reservation. For character dining restaurants and the most popular buffets, I really recommend booking as soon as your booking window opens.

06 How does Mobile Order (Click & Collect) work for Disney restaurants, and which ones take part?

Mobile Order (Click & Collect) lets you pre-order your meal in the official Disneyland Paris mobile app and pick it up at the time you choose, without queuing. Log in to the app, choose the restaurant and the time slot, select your dishes, pay online (the annual pass code can be applied) and get your voucher by email. The 8 participating restaurants are: Au Chalet de la Marionnette (Fantasyland), Café Hyperion (Discoveryland), Casa de Coco (Frontierland), Casey’s Corner (Main Street), Cowboy Cookout Barbecue (Frontierland), Hakuna Matata (Adventureland), Last Chance Cafe (Frontierland) and The Hollywood Gardens Restaurant (World Premiere at Disney Adventure World). The service is free, but orders are for the same day only.

07 Which Disney Village restaurants can you eat at without a park ticket?

Disney Village is free to enter, so you don’t need a park ticket to eat there. You’ll find around fifteen restaurants. For table service: Rosalie and Petite Rosalie (French brasserie), The Steakhouse (Chicago-style grilled meats) and The Royal Pub (British food). For a lively meal: Billy Bob’s Country Western Saloon and La Grange at Billy Bob’s (Tex-Mex buffets). Sports Bar for a relaxed vibe and Rainforest Café for its themed jungle setting. For quick service: McDonald’s, Earl of Sandwich, Five Guys, Starbucks Coffee and Vapiano round off the choice. Two places aren’t available at the moment. Annette’s Diner has been closed for refurbishment since January 2026 (reopening expected around 2027). The Italian restaurant Casa Giulia, on the site of the former Planet Hollywood, will open in late 2026. Book ahead for Rosalie and The Steakhouse, especially in the evening.

08 Do Disneyland Paris restaurants cater for halal, kosher or allergen-free diets?

Yes. Halal dishes and kosher meals can be provided on request in table-service and buffet restaurants. For allergies, you can ask in every restaurant for the full list of allergens in each dish, and a selection of dishes free from the major allergens is available on site. Every restaurant also offers at least one vegetarian or vegan option.

09 Do children under 3 need a meal plan?

No. Children under 3 don’t have to be booked on a half-board or full-board plan: they eat for free with their parents who have a meal plan. The child price only applies to children aged 3 to 11 inclusive.

10 What happens if I’m late for my reservation?

There’s usually a grace period of about 15 minutes. After that, your table can be given to other guests and the reservation lost. If you’re running late, let the restaurant know as soon as possible.

01 Where can you shop for Disney merchandise at Disneyland Paris?

You have four main options: the shops in Disneyland Park (mainly on Main Street U.S.A. and in each land), the shops in Disney Adventure World, the shops in Disney Village (no park ticket needed) and your hotel shop if you’re staying at an official Disney Hotel. I go through the main shops in my dedicated article.

02 Which shops in Disney Village can you visit without a park ticket?

Yes. Disney Village is free to enter, with no ticket or checks. You’ll find several Disney shops there, including the big World of Disney store, as well as partner brands. It’s the ideal option if you just want to go shopping without paying for park entry.

03 Can you shop without carrying your bags all day?

Yes. The Shopping Service lets you have your purchases sent to a collection point, to pick up later in the shop, or as you leave the park in another shop, or even in the shop at your Disney Hotel. The service is free in most shops (above a minimum spend). Just ask the sales assistant when you pay.

04 Can you go shopping near Disneyland Paris?

Yes, there are two places in Serris. The Val d’Europe shopping centre is a large indoor centre with around 190 shops, a hypermarket and restaurants. La Vallée Village is an outlet village with over 110 discounted shops. Both are a few minutes from the resort.

05 Can I buy Disneyland Paris Starbucks mugs and tumblers?

Yes, every Starbucks sells collectable mugs and tumblers featuring the resort. The widest choice is at the Starbucks in Disney Village. If you’re after a particular design that’s no longer available there, it’s worth heading over to the Starbucks at Disney Hotel Cheyenne and Disney Hotel Santa Fe.

06 Is the Disneyland Paris gift card refundable?

No, the amounts loaded onto it are not refundable. If it is lost, stolen or damaged, it is neither replaced nor refunded.

07 Where can I use a Disneyland Paris gift card?

In the shops and restaurants of Disneyland Park and Disney Adventure World, as well as at World of Disney (Disney Village). You can also use it on site to pay for a Disneyland Pass or a Disneyland Pass evening ticket. At the ticket office, it also lets you buy a ticket for the same day, but only if there is still room and often at a higher price than online: I wouldn’t count on it.

08 Can I bring my own food to Disneyland Paris if I have an allergy?

Yes. Disneyland Paris allows food and non-alcoholic drinks brought in from outside, which is really handy for allergies or strict diets: you can make sure your child has a completely safe meal. Bring a soft container, as glass, alcohol and large hard cool boxes are not allowed for safety reasons.

01 Is there a discounted price for disabled visitors at Disneyland Paris?

Yes, Disneyland Paris offers a 25% discount on the day ticket for the disabled visitor, and the same discount applies to one companion. The discounted price covers 1, 2, 3 or 4-day tickets, for 1 or 2 parks. I advise buying it in advance, before your visit, as it can’t be booked on site on the day. I go through the accepted documents in the next question.

02 Which documents are accepted for a disability ticket at Disneyland Paris?

To get the 25% discounted price, you need to show one of these valid documents: the CMI (France’s official disability card) marked for disability or priority, the European parking card for disabled people, an MDPH or MDA notification confirming the disability, or a certificate of military disability pension. Important: the RQTH (France’s official recognition of disabled worker status) on its own is not accepted for this price. Remember to bring a valid ID to the park entrance too.

03 Where and when should I buy a disability ticket for Disneyland Paris?

The disability ticket is bought online and in advance, on the official Disneyland Paris website or through the dedicated disability phone service. At the park gates, buying on the day is only possible if you pay in cash, with French holiday vouchers or by gift card, and if there is still room that day: the discount is then applied when you show your valid document. I wouldn’t count on it, as the park may be full and the standard price is used as the base, often higher than online. So book ahead with your document (CMI, MDPH notification, etc.) and keep it safe: you’ll be asked for it at the entrance, along with an ID.

04 Where and how do I pick up the Priority Card at Disneyland Paris?

You have two options. Option 1 (recommended) is online: you fill in the dedicated form on the official Disneyland Paris website in several steps (checking your documents proving the disability, giving your visit date, a questionnaire on your level of independence, entering your contact details and uploading a digital ID photo), then you receive a confirmation email. On the day, you simply collect your card at City Hall (Disneyland Park), Studio Services (Disney Adventure World) or the concierge desk of your Disney hotel. Option 2 (not the best choice) is doing everything on site at City Hall, Studio Services or the concierge desk of your Disney hotel: it can all be done on the day with your document and an ID photo, but the process takes much longer and I don’t recommend it. Important: your card is valid for 6 days. If you postpone or cancel your trip, you will have to make a new request with the new date. Get your digital ID photo and your document (a valid original) ready before you start.

05 Which rides are off limits to pregnant visitors at Disneyland Paris?

Around thirty rides are not recommended or are off limits for pregnant visitors. These include rides with harnesses or seatbelts (Autopia, Star Tours, Star Wars Hyperspace Mountain), rides with sudden stops including emergency stops (Big Thunder Mountain, Blanche-Neige et les Sept Nains, Casey Jr., Pinocchio), rides with inversions (Indiana Jones and the Temple of Peril, Avengers Assemble Flight Force) and rides with strong vibrations (Crush’s Coaster). The full, up-to-date list is on the official Disneyland Paris website and is shown at the entrance to each ride.

06 Is there specific support for autistic visitors (autism spectrum disorder) at Disneyland Paris?

Yes, Disneyland Paris offers several resources for people with autism spectrum disorder. A dedicated call centre is available on +33 825 954 528 for any specific accessibility questions before your visit. Disneyland Paris also provides a detailed accessibility guide that rates each attraction on noise level, smells, lighting and special effects, which helps enormously when planning your day. I recommend reading this guide beforehand to identify the most comfortable attractions.

07 Are the Disney hotel pools accessible to visitors with reduced mobility?

Disneyland Paris works to make its facilities accessible to everyone. Some pools are equipped for visitors with reduced mobility, with access ramps or specific equipment. I advise contacting the hotel directly before your stay to talk through your needs and check what facilities are available.

08 Can the priority access wristband be used several times a day?

Yes, the wristband is valid all day. You can show it at every ride or show where priority access is allowed. There is no limit on how many times you use it during the day.

09 Are walking poles allowed in the parks to help you walk?

Yes. I do advise bringing simple, light, folding poles, though, so you can put them in your bag on the rides.

10 How do I book an accessible room in a Disney hotel?

All the Disney hotels have rooms adapted for visitors with reduced mobility (accessible shower, extra space, adapted toilets). There are only a limited number per hotel, so book early, ideally several months ahead, especially during French school holidays or seasonal events. Bookings are made by phone through the dedicated booking centre on +33 9 69 32 60 61 (not a premium-rate number) rather than on the website. Make your specific needs clear as soon as you book.

11 How do I get the priority wristband for pregnant visitors ("Thumper wristband")?

The priority wristband for pregnant visitors, nicknamed the "Thumper wristband" by Cast Members, is free. You pick it up at City Hall, Studio Services or the concierge desk of the Disney hotels. Show an ID and a medical certificate of pregnancy less than 3 months old, signed by a doctor, in French or English. The wristband gives priority (but not immediate) access to rides, shows, character meets, restaurant tills and shops.

12 What is the difference between the Priority Card and the Easy Access Card?

Disneyland Paris offers two separate cards. The Priority Card is for people with a recognised disability (a CMI, which is France’s official disability card, a French invalidity card or an MDPH notification): it gives priority access through a dedicated queue and covers rides, shows, parades, character meets, restaurant and shop tills. The Easy Access Card is for people with one of the 30 recognised long-term conditions, or ALD (a long-term condition recognised by the French health system): it doesn’t skip the queue but works by appointment (a Cast Member gives you a time to come back), and it covers rides and character meets. So the right card depends on your medical situation and the document you can show. The details are in my guides to the Priority Card and the Easy Access Card.

01 How do I get to Disneyland Paris?

You have four main options: by train (TGV, OUIGO or direct Eurostar), by RER A to the end of the line at Marne-la-Vallée/Chessy, by car on the A4 motorway (exit 14, Parcs Disney) or by plane with a shuttle from the Paris airports (CDG or Orly). I go through each option in my dedicated articles.

02 Which station for Disneyland Paris (TGV, RER, OUIGO, Eurostar)?

Just one station: Marne-la-Vallée/Chessy. It serves TGV, OUIGO and Eurostar trains as well as the RER A (end of the line). You arrive there directly from Paris, CDG airport, Lille, Lyon, Marseille or Brussels depending on your train (from London, with a change in Lille or Paris).

03 How far is the walk between the station and the parks?

About 5 minutes on foot. You get off the train, walk through Disney Village and arrive at the parks’ security checks. No need for a shuttle.

04 Where can I park if I come by car?

The official Disney car park is right in front of the parks, about 10 minutes’ walk from the entrance. It’s the most convenient option. There are also alternative car parks (Indigo in particular) near the RER station, usually cheaper.

05 Do you have to pay for the official Disney car park?

Yes, the Disney car park is paid by the day. The price depends on the type of vehicle (car, motorhome, two-wheeler). It is free for guests of the official Disney hotels and for annual pass holders (all tiers), except on blockout days (the Gold tier gets it all year round, with no blocked days). Up-to-date prices are on the Disneyland Paris app or on arrival.

06 Which shuttle from CDG or Orly airports?

There are several options: the Magical Shuttle coach (paid, serving the Disney hotels), RER B then RER A, changing at Châtelet-Les Halles, or a direct TGV from CDG (the quickest). I go through the prices and journey times in my dedicated article.

07 Are there shuttle buses between the Disney hotels and the parks?

Yes, free shuttle buses serve most of the official Disney hotels. Some hotels are also within walking distance (Disneyland Hotel, Hotel New York, Newport Bay Club, Sequoia Lodge). The Davy Crockett Ranch has no shuttle: you really need a car (parking at the parks is free for its guests). The timetables are available at hotel reception or in the Disneyland Paris app.

08 What is the Disney Express service?

Disney Express is a luggage delivery service between Marne-la-Vallée/Chessy station and your hotel. When you arrive, you drop off your suitcases at the desk (first floor of the station), check in to your hotel there and then leave with your park tickets. Your luggage is delivered to your hotel. When you leave, your suitcases travel from the hotel to the station. There’s a charge for the service (allow €18 per person), it must be booked in advance and it is open to guests of the Disney hotels and Partner Hotels (except Davy Crockett Ranch and Center Parcs Villages Nature). You’ll find the details in my article on luggage storage.

09 Is there a train, hotel and ticket package for Disneyland Paris?

Yes, but not directly through the official Disneyland Paris website. Several partner travel agencies (online or high street) offer packages combining the train (TGV, Eurostar...), the hotel and park tickets, sometimes with half board. Compare the offers for your dates and the number of people.

10 How do I get to Paris from Disneyland Paris?

The RER A runs directly from Marne-la-Vallée/Chessy station to central Paris in about 35 to 40 minutes, with no change. It’s the easiest way to add a day of sightseeing in the capital to your trip.

11 Where can I leave my luggage when arriving by train?

At Marne-la-Vallée/Chessy station, automatic lockers let you leave your suitcases before going into the parks. If you’re staying at a Disney hotel, its luggage storage is free, even before check-in. Everything is explained in my luggage storage guide.

12 Is the Disney Village car park free for Disney hotel guests?

No, the Indigo car park at Disney Village is paid for everyone, at an hourly rate (from €1 per 15 minutes, about €26 for 24 hours). The only free options are the first minute in the drop-off zone and the free hours you get by showing a cinema ticket. This also applies to Disney hotel guests: their free parking covers their hotel car park and the Disneyland Paris visitor car park, but not the Indigo car park at Disney Village.

13 What time does the Disneyland Paris car park open and close?

The car park usually opens at 8:00, before the parks open, and generally closes 30 minutes after the last park closes. It stays accessible as long as Disney Village is open, so you can pick up your car after dinner at Disney Village. These times may change during events or very busy days.
