What are the cheapest hotels at Disneyland Paris?
At Disneyland Paris, I sort places to stay into three groups, from cheapest to most expensive: off-site hotels, partner hotels, and Disney hotels. Here are the least expensive in each group. For details on each type (tickets included or not, shuttle, Extra Magic Time), take a look at my trip planning guide.
The cheapest Disney hotels
Among the Disney hotels, Hotel Santa Fe is the most affordable: 2 stars, a Cars theme, and a 20-minute walk to the parks, or a ride on the free shuttle. Next comes Hotel Cheyenne, 3 stars, with a Wild West feel and a free shuttle too. Davy Crockett Ranch also has low rates for its cabins, but it’s out of the way: book it only if you have a car and don’t mind driving back and forth. You can book Santa Fe or Cheyenne on the official website.
Partner hotels
Partner hotels sit close by, have a shuttle, and often cost less than the Disney hotels. The most affordable ones are Explorers Hotel, Campanile Val de France, and B&B Hôtel. You book the hotel and your tickets together, but you don’t get Extra Magic Time.
Off-site hotels
Finally, there are the off-site hotels with no partner status, like Dream Castle Hotel, Grand Magic Hotel, or Eklo Marne-la-Vallée, which often come in cheapest overall. The catch: park tickets are not included (they’re a separate purchase), and the Disney hotel perks are off the table.
Disney hotel or cheaper hotel: which should you choose?
Paying less comes at a cost: comfort and perks. Here’s my honest take on what you gain and what you give up by picking a cheaper hotel over a Disney hotel.
| What matters | Disney hotel | Partner / off-site |
|---|---|---|
| Extra Magic Time | Yes | No |
| Distance and shuttle | Free shuttle, very close | Shuttle (partner hotels), farther away off-site |
| Tickets included | Yes (vacation package) | Partner hotels: yes. Off-site: no |
| Themed atmosphere | Strong | Weak |
| Price | Higher | Lower |

My advice for a first visit
How can you pay less for your hotel?
Whatever hotel you choose, a few habits bring the bill down: book as early as you can, avoid French school vacation and weekends, keep an eye on current deals and offers, and consider paying in installments. You can compare current vacation deals on the official website. Put together, these steps can make a real dent in the cost of a trip. You can even let me handle it: my vacation price alert lets you know as soon as a vacation package drops below the budget you set.

Frequently asked questions
01 What’s the cheapest hotel at Disneyland Paris?
Hotels off property tend to cost the least, but they don’t come with tickets. If you want a Disney hotel, Hotel Santa Fe is the most budget-friendly. For first-timers, I lean toward the Santa Fe or the Cheyenne: they cost a little more, but you get the whole Disney experience.
02 Can I visit Disneyland Paris without staying at a Disney hotel?
Yes. Partner hotels and off-site hotels are often cheaper. You simply don’t get Extra Magic Time, and with off-site hotels, you have to buy your tickets separately.
03 First visit: should I pick a partner hotel or a Disney hotel?
For a first visit, I recommend an affordable Disney hotel like the Santa Fe or the Cheyenne: the shuttle, the short distance, and Extra Magic Time make the whole trip much smoother. Save the partner or off-site hotels for a future stay.
