The right shop for what you’re looking for

At Disneyland Paris, shopping is part of the fun. No need to hit them all: focus on what you want. Most of the big staples (ears, pins, Disney plush) are sold everywhere, but some shops are worth a detour for their size, their exclusives, or even their theming.

On a first visit, start with the Emporium, which covers the essentials. If you’re staying at a Disney hotel, don’t overlook your hotel’s shop (or the other hotels’ shops, for that matter) for their exclusives.

Department stores, land shops, specialty shops, or services: the 4 families of shops

Category 1The department stores

The department stores bring most of the merchandise together under one roof: Mickey ears, plush toys, apparel, pins, and souvenirs. The best stocked are the Emporium on Main Street (Disneyland Park), World of Disney in Disney Village, and the Walt Disney Studios Store in Disney Adventure World. You don’t need a park ticket to get into World of Disney, which makes it the ideal stop for shopping on the day you leave.

Category 2Land shops

Nearly every land has at least one signature shop, often at a ride exit and themed to match its world. Think Star Traders at the exit of the Star Wars ride, Constellations at the exit of the Buzz Lightyear ride, Pueblo Trading Post across from the mine train, La Boutique du Château, Mission Equipment at Avengers Campus, or the Arendelle Boutique in World of Frozen. They carry exclusives tied to the theme that you won’t always find in the department stores.

Category 3Specialty shops

Specialty shops cater to one specific need with a focused selection. That’s where you’ll find Pandora jewelry (Hollywood Jewel Box), candy (Boardwalk Candy Palace, La Confiserie des Trois Fées), bricks at The LEGO® Store, or china at Harrington’s Fine China. Smaller but targeted, they’re worth a detour for a special gift.

Category 4The services

Beyond shopping, some spots offer services: the princess makeover at Mon Rêve Royal (at the Disneyland Hotel), haircuts and shaves at Dapper Dan’s Hair Cuts (Main Street), or stroller and wheelchair rental at the park entrances. Book ahead for the most popular ones, like the makeover.

Free delivery to your hotel

The most underused service: anything you buy in a Disney shop (above a certain amount) can be delivered free of charge to your official Disney hotel or picked up at the park exit that same evening. You can shop worry-free, with no bags to drag through the lines. Just ask at the register when you pay.

How much do Mickey ears cost?

Classic styles of the famous Disney ears run about €20. Seasonal or special editions (Halloween, Christmas, park anniversary) climb to €35, and big-brand collaborations can come close to €100. Nearly every shop carries them, yet the seasonal exclusives disappear quickly, so if one pair grabs you, pick it up at the start of your trip.

Frequently asked questions

Your questions, my answers

The questions that land most often in my emails and DMs. Answers with real numbers, double-checked and tested on site.

01 What are the shop hours?

Shops inside the parks roughly follow park hours, often opening a little earlier on Main Street U.S.A. and closing a little later after the nighttime show. Disney Village shops have their own hours, usually running later into the evening. You’ll find the exact hours in the Disneyland Paris app.

02 Is there a way to shop without lugging bags around all day?

Yes. The Shopping Service lets you have your purchases sent to a pickup point, so you can collect them later at the same shop, at another shop on your way out of the park, or even at your Disney hotel’s shop. The service is free in most shops (with a minimum purchase). Just ask the cast member at checkout.

03 Can you shop at Disney Village without a park ticket?

Yes. Disney Village is free to enter, with no ticket and no checkpoint. You’ll find several Disney stores there, including the big World of Disney store, along with partner brands. It’s the best option if you only want to shop without paying for park admission.

04 Is there a Disney store at the train station or outside the parks?

There’s no Disney store inside the station itself. That said, Disney Village is less than 5 minutes away on foot once you’re past security, and it has several Disney stores you can visit without a park ticket. It’s perfect for one last purchase before your train home.

05 What discounts do Disneyland Pass holders get?

The discounts depend on your tier. With the Bronze One and Bronze Max passes, you don’t get any store or dining discount. With the Silver pass, you get -10% at the stores and restaurants in the parks and at Disney Village, plus -10% on PhotoPass. With the Gold pass, it’s -15% on shopping and dining, PhotoPass is included for free, and you get Extra Magic Time. For Disney hotel stays, occasional discounts are offered, which vary with the time of year and don’t depend on your pass tier. The latest details are in your personal Disneyland Paris account and in the Disneyland Pass section of my blog.
