The 2 parks at Disneyland Paris, covered in depth

Disneyland Park (the classic park, home of the Castle) and Disney Adventure World (once called Walt Disney Studios): I’ve explored each of them. Read on for how they differ, which lands each one has, the rides that headline them, and which order makes sense for your trip.

How to choose

Getting to know the 2 parks

Which of the 2 parks to start with depends on who you are, how long you’re staying, and what you’re in the mood for.

Disneyland Park is the one you can’t skip on a first visit: it’s the "original" Disney world with the Castle, the parade, the family rides, and the classics (Big Thunder Mountain, Pirates of the Caribbean, it’s a small world). Disney Adventure World wins over teens, Marvel and Pixar fans, and guests looking for thrill rides (Crush’s Coaster, Avengers Assemble), modern immersive experiences (Ratatouille, World of Frozen), and a more contemporary design.

Only have 1 day? Pick Disneyland Park. Got 2 days or longer? Visit both.

Which park should you pick for your situation?

If you have 1 dayGo for Disneyland Park

With a single day, Disneyland Park is the clear choice: the castle, the parade, the iconic rides (Big Thunder Mountain, Pirates, Peter Pan). It’s the fullest Disney day you can have and the one that feels most like a storybook, ideal for a first visit or a trip with young kids.

If you have 2 daysDo both parks

With 2 days, give each park its own day. Your second day at Disney Adventure World lets you try Crush’s Coaster, Ratatouille, Avengers Campus, and the new World of Frozen. A "2-park" ticket also lets you hop between the two depending on showtimes and crowds.

How do you get from one park to the other?

The two parks are separated by a plaza that takes 5 minutes on foot. With a "2-park" ticket (or a vacation package), you can go through the turnstiles as many times as you like during the day. Keep your ticket or your mobile app handy.

How many days do you need to see it all?

If you want to cover both parks at a relaxed pace, budget 2 full days. A single day is only enough to do one park well. Traveling with kids or visiting in peak season, when lines get longer? Then 3 days let you slow down and still fit in shows, meet and greets, and rest stops.

Frequently asked questions

Your questions, my answers

The questions that land most often in my emails and DMs. Answers with real numbers, double-checked and tested on site.

01 How do you get between Disneyland Park and Disney Adventure World?

Only a short walk separates the two parks. Crossing the central plaza (Fantasia Garden) takes 5 minutes on foot. To get into both on a single day, you’ll need a 2-park ticket. A 1-park ticket keeps you in whichever park scans your ticket first. There’s no shuttle to take between them, which is a big plus of Disneyland Paris.

02 What types of tickets are there for Disneyland Paris?

Disneyland Paris sells quite a few kinds of tickets, and I know it’s easy to feel lost when planning a first trip. Here’s the 2026 lineup. Bon Plan tickets are the cheapest, but supply is limited. Dated 1-park or 2-park tickets work on one specific date. Undated 1-park or 2-park tickets let you set the date later, though they can’t be used on July 14, October 31, or December 31. Then there are multi-day tickets (2 to 4 days) and Special Offer tickets such as the Tribu ticket. Group tickets start at 20 people. Friends Tickets are only for annual passholders. Halloween and New Year’s Eve no longer have their own "evening" ticket: the nights of October 31 and December 31 come with that day’s dated ticket. Annual passholder evenings, however, still go on. And last, there are the annual passes themselves. Every ticket comes with its own rules and its own price.

03 How much does a Disneyland Paris vacation cost?

The price of a stay varies a lot depending on the hotel you pick. For a 2-day, 1-night stay for 2 adults and 2 kids with park tickets included, expect about €600 at the cheapest official Disney hotel and up to €1,100 at the most upscale one. On top of that, you need to add meals: the amount depends on the type of restaurant, but I recommend budgeting at least €300 for breakfast, lunch, afternoon snack, and dinner over the 2 days. All in all, plan on €900 to €1,400 for this kind of trip. For a single day only, the 1-day 1-park ticket starts at €49 per adult with a Bon Plan ticket: in that case, plan a budget of at least about €400 for a one-day visit for 2 adults and 2 kids, meals included.

04 Which park has more attractions, Disneyland Park or Disney Adventure World?

Without question, Disneyland Park has more attractions. By my count, there are 37 at Disneyland Park compared with 13 at Disney Adventure World. That’s no surprise: the original park opened in 1992 and has been adding to its lineup for over thirty years, whereas Disney Adventure World is still being transformed. If you only have one day and want to squeeze in the most attractions, I’d start with Disneyland Park.

05 Do I need a ticket for my child under 3?

No. Kids under 3 get into Disneyland Park and Disney Adventure World for free. There’s no ticket to buy or to show: you simply walk through the turnstiles together. One practical tip: always carry proof of your child’s age in your bag (a passport or an ID card). Disneyland Paris sometimes checks when there’s a doubt, because the rule has been abused a lot, so it pays to be ready. And bring a stroller too, because distances are longer than you’d expect.
