Eating at Disneyland Paris: reservations, meal plans, and budget

Dining at Disneyland Paris takes real planning ahead, especially if you have your eye on table-service restaurants or character meals. I’ve tried the vast majority of the buffets and snack spots in the parks, so I can give you my honest take, far from the official talking points. In this FAQ, I’ve gathered all my answers to help you land your reservations in the app, figure out whether a half-board meal plan is worth it, and find good options for special diets. Here’s my practical advice for eating well at the Disneyland Paris restaurants without blowing your budget or wasting your time in the parks.

01 What types of restaurants are there at Disneyland Paris?

At Disneyland Paris, you can choose from 5 main types of restaurants: table-service restaurants, character meals (character dining), all-you-can-eat buffets that are often themed, quick-service counters (Casey’s Corner, Café Hyperion, Stark Factory), and snack stands and kiosks for ice cream, waffles, and popcorn. Each restaurant is rated €, €€, €€€, or €€€€ to help you pick based on your budget. Counters and snack stands are open to walk-ins all day, while most table-service restaurants and all the buffets require a reservation.

02 What does a meal at Disneyland Paris cost?

It depends a lot on the kind of restaurant. Roughly speaking (prices change over time), budget around €15-25 per adult at a quick-service spot (€), €30-50 at a standard table-service restaurant (€€), and €60 or more at premium buffets and signature restaurants (€€€ and €€€€). Some real examples: the Agrabah Café buffet costs €45 for adults / €25 for kids, Cape Cod €45 / €25, La Cantina €35 / €20. Character dining like Auberge de Cendrillon runs €60-95 per adult. Snacks such as ice cream, waffles, or churros cost €5-10. Treat these ranges as estimates and check each restaurant’s menu for the exact price.

03 Which iconic Disneyland Park restaurants shouldn’t you miss?

If you want a sit-down meal, my picks are Auberge de Cendrillon in Fantasyland for Princess character dining, Captain Jack’s in Adventureland for its pirate setting, and Silver Spur Steakhouse in Frontierland for western-style grilled meats. Walt’s American Restaurant on Main Street belongs on the list too. Plaza Gardens on Main Street is famous for its character buffet, but a long renovation has it closed for now, with work expected to run until 2027. On the counter service side, grabbing a hot dog at Casey’s Corner on Main Street is part of the Disney experience, and the same goes for Café Hyperion in Discoveryland. Reserve your tables several weeks out, because they fill up fast.

04 Where can you find cheap eats in the Disneyland Paris parks?

To keep costs down, stick to the quick-service counters rated €. Casey’s Corner serves hot dogs on Main Street, Café Hyperion offers burgers and nuggets in Discoveryland, Colonel Hathi’s Pizza Outpost has pizza by the slice in Adventureland, and Cowboy Cookout Barbecue in Frontierland is still a good deal. Over at Disney Adventure World, Stark Factory and Super Diner remain affordable. Tip: Mobile Order in the app also lets you order at some counters without waiting in line. And for a little snack, a waffle, churros, or ice cream for €5-10 hits the spot.

05 Do Disney restaurants have kids’ menus?

Yes, nearly every Disneyland Paris restaurant has a child price (ages 3-11). At the all-you-can-eat buffets, kids pay about half price: €25 at Agrabah Café, €25 at Cape Cod, €20 at La Cantina. Classic table-service restaurants also have a kids’ menu with a kid-friendly appetizer, main course, and dessert. At the quick-service counters, you’ll find kids’ menus that include a drink and a dessert. You can ask for a high chair when you book, using the "special request" field.

06 Where should you go for an afternoon treat or a small bite in the parks?

The parks are packed with kiosks and snack stands for when hunger strikes. On the sweet side, there’s Cookie Kitchen on Main Street U.S.A., March Hare Refreshments in Fantasyland, waffle and churro stands all over, and roaming popcorn and ice cream carts. On the savory side, the hot dogs at Casey’s Corner. Plan on €5-10 per snack. Quick tip: some stands sell reusable collectible popcorn buckets that make fun souvenirs and get you discounted refills all day long.

07 How can I reserve a table at one of the Disneyland Paris restaurants?

There are four ways to book. The easiest is still the official Disneyland Paris app ("Dining" section), signed in to your Disney account. You can also call the reservation line at +33 1 60 30 40 50, use the official website through the Dining menu, or book in person at City Hall, Studio Services, or your Disney hotel’s concierge desk. Before you decide, I suggest you download my free file by email, which gathers every Disneyland Paris restaurant menu in one place. It makes choosing so much easier.

08 How early can I make a Disneyland Paris restaurant reservation?

The booking window depends on where you’re staying. If you’re at a Disney hotel, you can book up to 1 year ahead, as soon as your stay is confirmed. That’s a real advantage for very popular restaurants like Auberge de Cendrillon or the character buffets. If you’re coming for the day without a Disney hotel, you can book up to 2 months (60 days) ahead. You can reserve through the Disneyland Paris app, on the official website, or by phone at +33 1 60 30 40 50. My advice: book the moment the window opens for character dining and for weekend evenings or French school vacation evenings, or the time slots go fast.

09 Which restaurants require a reservation at Disneyland Paris?

Only table-service restaurants and buffets require a reservation. That includes iconic spots like Auberge de Cendrillon, Captain Jack’s, Silver Spur Steakhouse, Bistrot Chez Rémy, Plaza Gardens, Agrabah Café, Cape Cod, La Cantina, and PYM Kitchen. The quick-service counters (Casey’s Corner, Café Hyperion, Stark Factory, and others) and all the snack stands are walk-in, with no reservation needed. For character dining and the most popular buffets, I really recommend booking as soon as your booking window opens.

10 Is it still possible to get a table the same day with no reservation?

Yes, it’s possible but not guaranteed. Some restaurants run a "walk-in line" depending on the seats that open up during the day. Go to the restaurant’s host stand and ask whether they have room. The app also shows time slots as they free up in real time (last-minute cancellations), and I check it often when I’m after a last-minute table. Otherwise, fall back on the quick-service counters and snack stands, which never require a reservation. Tip: eating lunch at off-peak times (before 12:00 or after 14:00) greatly improves your chances of getting a table without a reservation.

11 How do you cancel a Disney restaurant reservation?

Canceling is easy in the official Disneyland Paris app. Go to "Account > My dining reservations", pick the reservation you want, and confirm the cancellation. You can also cancel by phone at +33 1 60 30 40 50. Cancel as soon as you know you won’t make it: it frees up a spot for other guests and it’s a nice thing to do. Important: you can’t change the time or the number of people in your party directly in the app. If you need a change, you have two options: cancel and make a new reservation (if time slots are still open), or call the reservation line at +33 1 60 30 40 50.

12 When I book, can I request a high chair or a birthday cake, or say I’m using a meal plan?

Yes. When you book (app, phone, or website), you’ll find a "Special Request" field where you can make several requests. You can ask for a high chair for your baby, a birthday cake (at an extra charge), mention a food intolerance or allergy, or let them know you want to use your half-board meal plan. For the birthday cake, I suggest asking right when you book to be sure one is available. If you didn’t, you can also ask when you arrive at the restaurant, and they’ll try to work something out depending on what they have that day.

13 Which restaurants at Disneyland Paris let you dine with Disney characters?

Five restaurants at Disneyland Paris offer character meet and greets. In Disneyland Park, there’s Plaza Gardens Restaurant on Main Street (all-you-can-eat buffet with Mickey, Minnie, and Donald, currently closed for renovation until 2027) and the Auberge de Cendrillon in Fantasyland (table service with the Princesses). Since March 2026, Regal View Restaurant & Lounge has been open in Disney Adventure World, with a Princess buffet. At the hotels, Royal Banquet and La Table de Lumière at the Disneyland Hotel also offer meet and greets. For the details, check the Hotels section of the FAQ.

14 Which characters will you meet at the Auberge de Cendrillon and Plaza Gardens?

At the Auberge de Cendrillon (Fantasyland), you meet the Disney Princesses on rotation: Cinderella of course, but also Ariel, Aurora, Snow White, Merida, Rapunzel, and Tiana. They aren’t all there at the same meal, and the rotation changes from day to day. At Plaza Gardens Restaurant on Main Street, you’ll run into Mickey, Minnie, Donald, Goofy, Pluto, Winnie the Pooh, and other friends at a more laid-back all-you-can-eat buffet (heads-up: the restaurant is currently closed for renovation until 2027). In both places, the characters go from table to table to sign autograph books and pose for photos.

15 What does a character meal cost, and how can you reserve it?

Character meals cost between €50 and €120 per adult, depending on the restaurant. Plaza Gardens is around €50-80 (closed for renovation until 2027), the Auberge de Cendrillon runs between €60 and €95, and Regal View Restaurant falls in the same range. At the hotels, Royal Banquet costs about €100 per adult and La Table de Lumière €120. These prices come from the official Disneyland Paris website and may change. In particular, they go up during special events like Christmas Eve or New Year’s Eve. To book, use the official mobile app or the Disneyland Paris website, or call +33 1 60 30 40 50.

16 What is the Disneyland Paris half-board meal plan, and who can get it?

The Disneyland Paris half-board meal plan is a prepaid dining package that includes the breakfast buffet at your Disney hotel plus one or more meals at a participating restaurant. It’s only for guests staying at an official Disney hotel: you can’t add it if you’re visiting for the day. There are actually four plans: Standard, Plus, Extra Plus, and Premium, each covering a different set of restaurants at a different price. Extra Plus is in fact a full-board meal plan (two meals a day), not just half board. The main benefit: you set your dining budget ahead of time and enjoy your trip with no surprises when the check arrives. For arrivals from April 1, 2027, Disney is replacing these four plans with Essential, Extra, Signature, and Royal. I break down what’s changing in my guide to the meal plans.

17 Is half board worth it?

It depends on how you like to eat. A half-board meal plan is worth it if you plan on full meals (appetizer, main course, dessert) at table-service restaurants or buffets, which cost more than the quick-service counters. If you mostly plan on fast food or Mobile Order, the plan can cost more than paying as you go. My advice: before signing up, download the free file with the full menus of every Disneyland Paris restaurant and compare the prices with your half-board rate. Also note that any meals you haven’t used are lost when you check out of the hotel.

18 What is Mobile Order at Disneyland Paris restaurants, and where can I use it?

Mobile Order lets you order your meal ahead in the official Disneyland Paris mobile app and pick it up at the time you choose, without waiting in line. You sign in to the app, pick the restaurant and the time slot, choose your dishes, pay online (your annual pass discount code works), and get your pickup voucher by email. The 8 participating restaurants are: Au Chalet de la Marionnette (Fantasyland), Café Hyperion (Discoveryland), Casa de Coco (Frontierland), Casey’s Corner (Main Street), Cowboy Cookout Barbecue (Frontierland), Hakuna Matata (Adventureland), Last Chance Cafe (Frontierland), and The Hollywood Gardens Restaurant (World Premiere in Disney Adventure World). The service is free, but you can only order for the same day.

19 Which restaurants can you go to at Disney Village without a park ticket?

No park ticket is needed: Disney Village is open to everyone, and that includes its restaurants, roughly fifteen of them. If you want to sit down and be served, there’s Rosalie and Petite Rosalie (a French brasserie), The Steakhouse (Chicago-style grill), and The Royal Pub (British dishes). Billy Bob’s Country Western Saloon and La Grange at Billy Bob’s offer Tex-Mex buffets with a show-style atmosphere. Sports Bar is the relaxed option, while Rainforest Café plays up its jungle theme. Need something fast? McDonald’s, Earl of Sandwich, Five Guys, Starbucks Coffee, and Vapiano have you covered. Keep in mind that two places are off the list for now: Annette’s Diner shut for renovation in January 2026 (it should be back around 2027), and Casa Giulia, a new Italian restaurant where Planet Hollywood used to be, opens in late 2026. At Rosalie and The Steakhouse, reserve in advance, especially for dinner.

20 Are there vegetarian and vegan options at Disneyland Paris restaurants?

Yes, a growing number of Disneyland Paris restaurants have vegetarian and vegan choices. In Frontierland, Lucky Nugget Saloon offers an entirely vegan menu, and over in Fantasyland, Toad Hall Restaurant serves breaded plant-based crispy bites that are very good. Most of the other table-service restaurants and buffets list at least one vegetarian dish. Simple buffets such as Agrabah Café or Cape Cod have meatless options too. For the full picture, get my free file by email, which gathers the menus of every Disneyland Paris restaurant: you can check the veggie options ahead of your visit.

21 What new restaurants are opening at Disneyland Paris in 2026?

2026 brings several openings to Disneyland Paris. The big event of the year is without a doubt Regal View Restaurant & Lounge, which opened in March 2026 on Adventure Way in Disney Adventure World: a character dining buffet built around the Disney Princesses, in the same spirit as Auberge de Cendrillon but as an all-you-can-eat buffet. Also keep an eye on Chez Toulouse, Chez Berlioz, and Chez Marie, three new spots announced with an Aristocats theme. Remember to book as soon as reservations open (up to 1 year ahead for Disney hotel guests), because these new restaurants fill up fast.

22 Can Disneyland Paris restaurants handle halal, kosher, or allergen-free needs?

Yes. On request, table-service and buffet restaurants can serve halal dishes and kosher meals. If you have allergies, every restaurant can give you a complete allergen list for each dish, and some dishes made without the major allergens are offered on site. On top of that, every restaurant has a vegetarian or vegan choice, at the very least.

23 If I don’t use every meal in my plan, what happens?

Any meals from your plan that are still unused when your stay ends are forfeited, with no refund.

24 Do annual pass or shareholder discounts apply to meal plans?

No, Disneyland Paris meal plans aren’t eligible for annual pass discounts or shareholder discounts. If a half-board meal plan is included in your hotel stay, it works separately from any discount program.

25 Is it possible to put only some people in the room on a meal plan?

When you book online, you can’t add a meal plan for only some of the people in the room. For that kind of request, you need to call Disneyland Paris directly.

26 What’s the difference between the Standard, Plus, Extra Plus, and Premium dining options?

Right now there are four options for arrivals up to March 31, 2027, and your hotel determines which one applies. Standard is for Davy Crockett Ranch and the Santa Fe. Plus is for the Cheyenne, Sequoia Lodge, Newport Bay Club, and New York - The Art of Marvel. Each one opens up a set of restaurants, and the higher the tier, the bigger the choice. Extra Plus (every hotel but the Disneyland Hotel, with a full-board meal plan) gives you one character meal per stay. On top of that, you get an afternoon snack and a drink each night. Premium (only at the Disneyland Hotel) covers character meals, as many as your vouchers allow. Arrivals starting April 1, 2027, will switch to Essential, Extra, Signature, and Royal instead.

27 What’s changing with the meal plans starting in April 2027?

For arrivals from April 1, 2027, a new lineup replaces half board and full board. You pick 1 or 2 meals per night, then a tier. At every hotel except the Disneyland Hotel, you can choose freely between Essential, Extra, and Signature. If you’re staying at the Disneyland Hotel, you choose between Signature and Royal. Only the Royal tier includes character lunches and dinners. Breakfast is no longer part of the plan and isn’t required. Expect €32 to €170 per adult per night, not counting breakfast.

28 Do kids under 3 need a meal plan?

No. Booking kids under 3 on a half-board or full-board meal plan isn’t required: they can eat free alongside parents who have one. The child price is only for kids ages 3 through 11.

29 Is Mobile Order free at Disneyland Paris?

Yes, Mobile Order is completely free for every guest in the parks. You order ahead in the app and pay only for your food, with no extra charge for the service. It’s a good way to save time and skip the line at mealtime.

30 What happens if I’m late for my reservation?

Restaurants generally allow roughly 15 minutes of leeway. Past that point, they may give your table away to other guests, and you lose the reservation. Running behind? Call the restaurant as early as you can.
