Yes, you can get married at Disneyland Paris. The resort hosts ceremonies and receptions through its dedicated program, Disney’s Fairy Tale Weddings, run by a team of specialized coordinators. One important point right away: what Disney organizes is a symbolic ceremony, not a legal marriage. Your legal union takes place at the town hall. Everything else, the setting, the meal, the planning, is where Disney comes in.

In this article, I walk you through the available packages, possible venues, what’s included, the budget to plan for, and how to get a quote. If you’re still at the step before that, the marriage proposal has its own article. And to plan your trip as a couple more broadly, I have a dedicated guide, which fits into my method to plan your day.

Can you really get married at Disneyland Paris?

It is. Couples have been tying the knot at Disneyland Paris for years under the Disney’s Fairy Tale Weddings banner. The program actually covers three big milestones in a couple’s life: the wedding (Wedding Collections), the engagement (Engagement Collections), and the vow renewal (Happily Ever After Collections).

On the practical side, Disney coordinators take care of every part of the day, from the ceremony through the reception. Everything is tailor-made, and it’s built for smaller, more intimate celebrations rather than huge weddings.

Legal marriage or symbolic ceremony: what’s the difference?

What Disney hosts is a symbolic (or secular) ceremony, so it isn’t legally binding. French law says only a civil registrar (the mayor or a deputy mayor) can make a marriage official, and that has to happen at the town hall. Disney has no way around that.

So most couples handle the legal part at the town hall first and celebrate their symbolic ceremony at Disneyland Paris afterward. Couples traveling from abroad often see the offer framed as a vow renewal, following a legal wedding back home.

What wedding packages are available?

There are several wedding collections, and what sets them apart is mostly how far you can customize and which venues open up to you. You’ll hear about two above all: the Romantic Wedding Collection, polished and more structured, and the Royal Wedding Collection, built entirely around you, with exclusive venues and in-depth personalization.

On its official website, Disney also sorts the offer by venue (park collections or hotel collections), which makes it easier to navigate. What each collection covers shifts over the years, and no detailed rate card is posted online. Use the table below as a general overview and double-check it once you’re in touch with Disney.

Where do the ceremony and reception take place?

You have a choice of several venues, and that’s a real advantage at Disneyland Paris. The standout option: saying your vows at the foot of Sleeping Beauty Castle, after the park has closed to the public. Right now, very few Disney parks offer a ceremony in front of their castle, and Disneyland Paris is one of them. Couples can even pull up in a horse-drawn carriage with a guard escort.

Beyond that, several of the resort’s hotels host ceremonies and receptions, mostly during the day. Here are the main spaces.

Auberge de Cendrillon courtyardInner courtyard with a view of the castleIntimate setting, storybook atmosphere

For the reception, the resort’s chefs create gala dinners or cocktail receptions, with themed decor tailored to your wishes. If you want to extend your stay, the Disneyland Hotel is also home to restaurants like La Table de Lumière, and the park has other polished spots such as Walt’s.

What’s included in a Disney wedding?

Standard packages cover the essentials: a dedicated coordinator, the ceremony, a catered reception, themed decor, and a professional photographer. That foundation accounts for a large part of the budget. Beyond it, many services are optional and let you personalize the event.

Included in the package

  • Your own Disney coordinator, there for you from the first call to the big day
  • The symbolic ceremony plus the reception
  • Upscale catering created by the resort’s chefs
  • Decor themed to your taste
  • A pro photographer

Optional extras

  • Disney characters (Mickey, Minnie, and others) during the event
  • Arrival in a private carriage with guards
  • Musicians, private entertainment, shows
  • Custom florist, beauty services, audiovisual equipment

How much does a Disneyland Paris wedding cost?

No sugarcoating here: this costs a lot, and Disney doesn’t post prices. You’ll need a custom quote for everything. Plan on several tens of thousands of euros. The entry-level option is a basic package for about twenty guests, and the top venues, such as a castle ceremony, sit at the high end.

Treat these numbers as ballpark figures and confirm them with Disney. Your final bill will hinge on the venue, guest count, menu, extras, and date. In short, expect several tens of thousands of euros, all by custom quote.

How far ahead should you book?

My advice is to get started 12 to 18 months in advance, particularly if you’re eyeing popular dates such as a summer weekend. The more detailed your wish list (a castle venue, characters, a big reception), the sooner you should reach out, since those slots and extras get snapped up. An early start also leaves room to refine your budget and weigh the packages calmly.

How do you request a wedding quote?

To get started, fill out the contact form on the Disney’s Fairy Tale Weddings page of the official Disneyland Paris website. Disney Wedding Planners will follow up with you and build a quote around your plans. Having a few key details on hand before that first exchange will speed things up.

  • A realistic budget range
  • The approximate number of guests
  • Your preferred venue (castle, Auberge de Cendrillon, Disneyland Hotel, Newport Bay, Hotel New York)
  • One or more possible dates
  • The options that matter to you (characters, carriage, and so on)

Frequently asked questions

01 Can you actually get married at Disneyland Paris?

Yes. The Resort hosts ceremonies and receptions through its Disney’s Fairy Tale Weddings program, with a team of dedicated coordinators. Disney handles the whole event, from the ceremony to the reception.

02 Is a Disneyland Paris wedding a legally binding civil marriage?

No. The ceremony Disney offers is symbolic and has no legal standing. In France, a civil marriage can only be performed by a civil registrar, at the town hall. So most couples get legally married at town hall first, then hold their symbolic ceremony at Disneyland Paris.

03 How much does a wedding at Disneyland Paris cost?

Plan on a budget in the tens of thousands of euros. The most budget-friendly route is a basic package for about twenty guests, whereas top venues such as the castle rank among the most expensive. There’s no published rate card from Disney: each wedding gets its own quote, depending on location, guest count, and extras.

04 Can you get married in front of Sleeping Beauty Castle?

Yes, you can, right at the foot of the castle, before or after the park’s public opening hours. Very few Disney parks offer this, and Disneyland Paris is one of them. As an extra, you can even arrive in a horse-drawn carriage with an escort of guards.

05 Can Disney characters come to the wedding?

Yes, as an add-on rather than as standard. Mickey, Minnie, and other characters can make an appearance at your event. You need to reserve them ahead of time, so bring it up in your quote request if it’s important to you.

06 How far in advance should you book your trip or tickets?

Book as soon as you can. Prices at Disneyland Paris are dynamic, so booking earlier means paying less. Dated tickets are best bought at least 3 months out, and a Disney hotel 6 to 9 months out for peak dates (French school vacations, French long weekends in May, Halloween, Christmas). Bookings often open even earlier than that, so once your dates are locked in, go ahead. Table-service restaurants can be reserved through the official app up to 2 months before if you’re a day visitor, and up to 1 year before if you’re a Disney hotel guest.
