About Julie Ears
Who I am, the way I work, and the reasons you can rely on everything you read on this blog.
Last updated:
My name is Julie. I grew up just a few kilometers from Disneyland Paris, and my dad was a Cast Member who joined for the park’s opening, so behind-the-scenes stories were the soundtrack of my childhood. These days, I visit the parks 3 to 6 times a month on average, sometimes far more, and I share all of it here.
How I work
Julie Ears is a 100% independent blog. I’m not part of any press program, and I don’t get invitations or free visits: every hotel I review, every restaurant, every season, I pay for just like any other guest. When something disappoints me, I say so in writing.
Affiliate links pointing to the Disneyland Paris official website keep the blog running. Your prices stay exactly the same, and my reviews are never influenced by them. The Affiliate disclosure page goes through it all in detail.
My goal is simple: help you plan your trip with up-to-date information, checked in person, without needing to know the insider lingo.
My Disney story
It all started before I was born: my dad was one of the Cast Members who came on board for the park’s opening. My first visit goes back to 1997, before I had even turned one. I grew up a few minutes from the park gates, with backstage anecdotes for bedtime stories and rides on Big Thunder Mountain whenever I got the chance. That’s where my first Disney memories come from, and they’ve stayed with me ever since.
In March 2016, I bought my first annual pass. I’ve never let it lapse since then: the park became the place I explore every week, until I knew its corners, its best times of day, and its hidden details by heart.
In January 2023, I started Julie Ears to pass all of this on. It began as a travel journal and, month after month, grew into a complete guide: tickets, hotels, restaurants, rides, seasons, budget. Three years later, 30,000 of you every month plan your trip here, and that’s what keeps me testing, checking, and updating, week after week.
And from here? Disney Adventure World only just opened its gates, the whole resort is transforming fast, and I plan to go on sharing every bit of it with you.
