Every Disneyland Paris restaurant and menu, honestly compared

Restaurants in the parks, Disney Village and the Disney hotels: I cover most of them. Here’s my Disneyland Paris restaurants comparison based on your budget, the atmosphere you’re after and your needs (children, allergies, characters).

How to choose

The right restaurant for your situation

Where you choose to eat at Disneyland Paris shapes the pace of your day and your budget. Over 2 days as a family, food can make up 20 to 30% of the total bill. It pays to make the right choices before you arrive.

I’ve split the restaurants into 4 categories: table service (book 60 days ahead, the full experience), all-you-can-eat buffet (families, big appetites), quick-service snacks (a quick bite at lunchtime) and character dining (Disney Princesses, Mickey and friends). Most of the time, I recommend quick snacks at lunchtime and a table-service or buffet dinner in the evening.

Table service, buffet, snacks or character dining: the 4 types of restaurant

Category 1Table service

Table-service restaurants offer the full experience with a welcome, a waiter and set menus (starter, main course, dessert). Allow at least €25/person. Bookings open exactly 60 days ahead, or 365 days ahead for guests at official Disney hotels. Ideal for the evening, couples and special occasions. A few highlights: Bistrot Chez Rémy, Walt’s and Captain Jack’s.

Category 2All-you-can-eat buffet

All-you-can-eat buffet restaurants are especially good for families and big appetites. Allow at least €35/person. Some offer both lunch and dinner. Highlights: Agrabah Café, Plaza Gardens and PYM Kitchen.

Category 3Snacks and quick service

Ideal for a quick bite at lunchtime, with no booking needed. Burgers, pizza, hot dogs, salads and ramen. Allow at least €15/person. You’ll find them in every land (Café Hyperion, Casey’s Corner, Cool Post, Pizzeria Bella Notte). Takeaway or eat in.

Category 4Character dining

Dinner with the Disney Princesses at Auberge de Cendrillon or at Regal View Restaurant, and a meal with Mickey at Royal Banquet. Allow at least €80/person. You really must book exactly 60 days ahead: slots go in under 5 minutes during French school holidays.

When to book your Disney restaurant?

For popular table-service restaurants, it’s simple: exactly 60 days ahead via the Disneyland Paris app or the official website. Auberge de Cendrillon and Bistrot Chez Rémy sometimes go in a matter of minutes, especially during French school holidays. Guests at official Disney hotels get a head start: 365 days ahead.

3 tips to keep your food budget in check

Over 2 days as a family of 4, food can easily come to €200 to €450. To bring the bill down: go for snacks at lunchtime and a table-service dinner in the evening, order the kids’ menus, skip drinks from the menu (tap water is free) and use the Disneyland Pass discount of 10 to 15% depending on your type of pass.

Frequently asked questions

Your questions, my answers

The questions I get most often by email and DM. Answers with real figures, checked and tested on the ground.

01 How much does a meal cost at Disneyland Paris?

Prices vary a lot depending on the type of restaurant. As a rough guide (prices change), allow around €15 to €25 per adult at a quick-service counter (€), €30 to €50 at a classic table-service restaurant (€€), and €60 and over at the premium buffets or signature restaurants (€€€ and €€€€). To give you some concrete benchmarks: the Agrabah Café buffet is €45 per adult / €25 per child, Cape Cod €45 / €25, La Cantina €35 / €20. Character dining set menus such as Auberge de Cendrillon go up to €60-95 per adult. For snacks (ice cream, waffle, churros), allow €5 to €10. These ranges are approximate, and you can check the exact price on each restaurant’s menu.

02 Where can you eat cheaply in the Disneyland Paris parks?

To keep costs down, go for the quick-service counters rated €. Casey’s Corner serves hot dogs on Main Street, Café Hyperion does burgers and nuggets in Discoveryland, Colonel Hathi’s Outpost Restaurant serves pizza slices in Adventureland, and Cowboy Cookout Barbecue in Frontierland is still a good deal. Over at Disney Adventure World, Stark Factory and Super Diner remain affordable. Tip: Mobile Order (Click & Collect) in the app also lets you order at some counters without having to queue. And if you’re a bit peckish, a snack (waffle, churros, ice cream) for €5 to €10 does the job nicely.

03 How far in advance can you book a restaurant at Disneyland Paris?

It depends on how you’re visiting. If you’re staying in a Disney hotel, you can book up to 1 year ahead, as soon as your stay is confirmed: a real advantage for the most popular restaurants like the Auberge de Cendrillon or the character buffets. If you’re coming for the day, without a Disney hotel, you can book up to 2 months (60 days) ahead. You can book in the Disneyland Paris app, on the official website or by phone on +33 (0)1 60 30 40 50. My advice: book as soon as the window opens for character restaurants and for evenings at weekends or during French school holidays, otherwise the slots disappear fast.

04 Can you still get a table on the day without booking?

Yes, it’s possible but not guaranteed. Some restaurants run a "walk-in queue" depending on the tables freed up during the day. Go to the restaurant’s reception desk and ask if there’s any room left. The mobile app also shows slots that open up in real time (last-minute cancellations), and I check it regularly when I’m after a last-minute table. Otherwise, fall back on the quick-service counters and snack stands, which never need a booking. Tip: eating lunch at an off-peak time (before 12:00 or after 14:00) greatly improves your chances of finding a table without booking.

05 How does a character meal (character dining) work?

You book a restaurant where characters come to your table during the meal. There’s a photo and an autograph each time they stop by. Booking is strongly recommended, sometimes several weeks ahead. Prices and the full list are in my Restaurants FAQ and in my dedicated article.
