About Julie Ears

Julie

My name is Julie. I grew up a few kilometres from Disneyland Paris, with a father who was a Cast Member there for the park’s opening, so behind-the-scenes stories were part of my childhood. Today I visit the parks 3 to 6 times a month on average, sometimes far more, and I tell you all about it here.

How I work

Julie Ears is a 100% independent blog. I’m not part of any press programme and I don’t get invitations or free visits: every hotel I test, every restaurant, every season, I pay for like any other visitor. When something disappoints, I say so.

The blog is funded by affiliate links to the official Disneyland Paris website: they don’t change your prices and never influence my opinions. It’s all explained on the Affiliate disclosure page.

My aim is simple: to help you plan your trip with up-to-date information, checked on the ground, without needing to know the regulars’ jargon.

My Disney story

It all started before I was born: my father was one of the Cast Members who arrived for the park’s opening. My first visit dates back to 1997, before my first birthday. I grew up a few minutes from the gates, with backstage anecdotes as bedtime stories and rides on Big Thunder Mountain whenever I got the chance. My first Disney memories come from then, and they’ve never left me.

In March 2016, I got my first annual pass. I’ve never let it lapse since: the park became my weekly playground, the place where I came to know every corner, the best times and the hidden details.

In January 2023, I launched Julie Ears to pass all of that on. It started as a travel diary and, month after month, grew into a complete guide: tickets, hotels, restaurants, rides, seasons, budget. Three years later, 30,000 of you every month plan your trip here, and that’s what drives me to test, check and update, week after week.

What’s next? Disney Adventure World has just opened, the resort is changing fast and I fully intend to keep telling you all about it.
