At a glance
Disney Hotel Santa Fe has its own Starbucks store, in the main building, just behind the reception hall, in the passage leading to the Rio Grande bar, La Cantina restaurant and the shop. Disney classes it as quick-service and takeaway, in the lowest price range of its scale (one symbol out of three). You don’t need a park ticket to go, and booking isn’t possible.
The menu is the chain’s own: hot and cold drinks, classics like the Caramel Macchiato, the Refresha and the Frappuccino, plus seasonal specials, which Disney says can be customised in 86,000 combinations (plant-based milk, espresso shot, whipped cream). For food, there are sweet treats such as cookies, and savoury snacks: sandwiches, wraps and the Egg & Bacon Muffin, available throughout the day. The lounge has armchairs, and wifi is free.
One useful thing to know: according to the data on the official page, this Starbucks is neither owned nor run by Disney. It is a licensed store, listed as such in the chain’s store locator. This has real consequences: no Disney meal plan applies, Disney publishes no menu or allergen sheet, and no official prices are released for this outlet (only the Starbucks in Disney Village has a priced menu online).
The space reopened on 18 June 2025 after several months of work, with a setting redesigned around a motor racing circuit theme, echoing the hotel’s Cars theme: nods to Lightning McQueen, neon menu boards and diner-style booths, according to reports in the specialist press. Disney presents these lounges as an extra to the services already offered in its hotels, for breakfast as well as for breaks during the day.
This isn’t just a coffee counter in a lobby: it has its own store number in Starbucks’ official store locator, just like a high-street shop. The data on Disney’s official page confirms it in its own way: the outlet is neither owned nor run by Disney, unlike La Cantina and the Rio Grande Bar. In practice, the menu is Starbucks’ own, with the drink customisation announced by Disney (86,000 possible combinations), and the lounge has armchairs and free wifi.

History
The Starbucks at Disney Hotel Santa Fe opened in spring 2017, at the same time as the one at Disney Hotel Cheyenne. Both lounges replaced the hotels’ old games arcades, small spaces, which explains their compact size. Their arrival coincided with the end of breakfast being automatically included in hotel + ticket packages: the idea was to offer a quick option before heading to the parks, and a break on the way back. The outlet then closed on 17 January 2025 for a full refurbishment, before reopening on 18 June 2025 with its current decor.

Pros and cons
Strong points
- Less busy than Disney Village
- Cheap breakfast
- Quiet lounge mid-afternoon
- Open to non-hotel guests
My verdict
At Disney Hotel Santa Fe, the Starbucks is most useful in the morning: breakfast costs less here than at the hotel restaurant, and the queue is much shorter than at the Starbucks in Disney Village. You can head off to the parks without wasting time.
I also recommend it for a mid-afternoon snack. That’s when the hotel empties: everyone is in the parks or at Disney Village, and you have a quiet corner to catch your breath. You can go even if you’re not staying at the hotel.
