At a glance

Cookie Kitchen is a quick-service takeaway kiosk on Main Street U.S.A., in Disneyland Park, near Discovery Arcade. The decor fits the land’s North American Victorian style, with a blue front, orange-lit windows showing off the pastries and a sign in gold lettering.

The food focuses on sweet treats and drinks: cookies in several flavours, pastries and cold or hot drinks. The kiosk has no dedicated seating.

Cookie Kitchen usually opens when the park opens, including during Extra Magic Time, and stays open until closing, which makes it a sweet stop available at any time of day.

What makes it stand out

Warm cookies from the morning. Set in the covered walkway of Discovery Arcade, this Victorian kiosk bakes giant chocolate chip cookies. Open from Extra Magic Time, it lets you grab a sweet treat or a hot coffee to take away. With no seating, it’s all about snacking efficiently on the go.

History

Opened on 12 April 1992 with the park, this kiosk is part of the original line-up of Main Street U.S.A.. It has kept its location and its basic architecture over the decades.

It blends into the continuous row of period shopfronts, and its windows onto the main street have had no major renovation changing the space since the opening.

My verdict

Cookie Kitchen is a small Victorian kiosk on Main Street U.S.A., specialising in cookies and pastries. Its strong points are its location and its very long opening hours, which make it a sweet stop available all day.

I’ve eaten here over my stays and I agree with many visitors: it’s a safe bet for a quick treat, at around €3 for the Mickey doughnut. The kiosk, open since 1992, is well placed and stays open during Extra Magic Time, a real plus in the morning. On the other hand there’s no dedicated seating and it only sells sweet treats. It gets busy at peak times.

I recommend it for a quick sweet break at any time on Main Street. Less suited if you’re after something savoury or a place to sit down.

Your questions about this restaurant

01 Where can you eat cheaply in the Disneyland Paris parks?

To keep costs down, go for the quick-service counters rated €. Casey’s Corner serves hot dogs on Main Street, Café Hyperion does burgers and nuggets in Discoveryland, Colonel Hathi’s Outpost Restaurant serves pizza slices in Adventureland, and Cowboy Cookout Barbecue in Frontierland is still a good deal. Over at Disney Adventure World, Stark Factory and Super Diner remain affordable. Tip: Mobile Order (Click & Collect) in the app also lets you order at some counters without having to queue. And if you’re a bit peckish, a snack (waffle, churros, ice cream) for €5 to €10 does the job nicely.

02 Are there kids’ menus in the Disney restaurants?

Yes, almost all Disneyland Paris restaurants offer a child price (ages 3-11). In the all-you-can-eat buffets, children pay around half price: Agrabah Café at €25, Cape Cod at €25, La Cantina at €20. Classic table-service restaurants also have a children’s set menu with a suitable starter, main course and dessert. At the quick-service counters, you’ll find kids’ set meals with a drink and a dessert included. You can ask for a high chair when you book, using the "special request" field.

03 Are there vegetarian and vegan options in the Disneyland Paris restaurants?

Yes, more and more Disneyland Paris restaurants offer vegetarian and vegan options. The Lucky Nugget Saloon in Frontierland serves a full vegan set menu, and Toad Hall Restaurant in Fantasyland has really nice breaded plant-based crispy bites. Most other table-service restaurants and buffets have at least one vegetarian dish on the menu. Simpler buffets such as Agrabah Café or Cape Cod also offer meat-free alternatives. To check the details, download my free file by email with all the Disneyland Paris restaurant menus: that way you can spot the veggie options before your visit.

04 Where can you get an afternoon snack or a quick bite in the parks?

The parks are full of kiosks and snack stands for when you’re a bit peckish. For something sweet, there’s Cookie Kitchen on Main Street U.S.A., March Hare Refreshments in Fantasyland, waffle and churros stands just about everywhere, and roaming popcorn and ice cream sellers. For something savoury, the hot dogs at Casey’s Corner. Allow €5 to €10 per snack. Little tip: some stands sell reusable collectible popcorn buckets that make lovely souvenirs and give you refills at a reduced price all day.

05 How much does a meal cost at Disneyland Paris?

Prices vary a lot depending on the type of restaurant. As a rough guide (prices change), allow around €15 to €25 per adult at a quick-service counter (€), €30 to €50 at a classic table-service restaurant (€€), and €60 and over at the premium buffets or signature restaurants (€€€ and €€€€). To give you some concrete benchmarks: the Agrabah Café buffet is €45 per adult / €25 per child, Cape Cod €45 / €25, La Cantina €35 / €20. Character dining set menus such as Auberge de Cendrillon go up to €60-95 per adult. For snacks (ice cream, waffle, churros), allow €5 to €10. These ranges are approximate, and you can check the exact price on each restaurant’s menu.
