At a glance
Café Hyperion is a counter service restaurant in Discoveryland, in Disneyland Park, next to the Videopolis theatre. Opened with the park in 1992, it was then the largest quick-service restaurant in Europe and is still the largest restaurant at Disneyland Paris today, with room for more than 1,000 people. Its name refers to Hyperion Avenue, where Walt Disney set up his studio in 1926.
The setting is part of Discoveryland’s retro-futuristic theme, inspired by Jules Verne. It stands out with a large red airship hanging above Videopolis, a copper-toned clock by the tills, exposed metal framework and murals of world maps and travel posters that recall airline check-in desks. The raised dining room has a clear view of the Videopolis stage, so you can watch some seasonal shows, mainly at Christmas, from your table.
Service is at the counter, with a menu centred on burgers, salads and fries. For a few years now there has been a Star Wars set menu linked to the nearby Star Tours and Star Wars Hyperspace Mountain, as well as seasonal menus for the festivities. The restaurant offers Click & Collect (order in the mobile app, pick up at the counter).
The biggest quick-service restaurant in the park. It seats over 1,100 people under the giant hangar of Jules Verne’s airship. You eat your burgers and salads facing the huge Videopolis stage, which shows animated shorts non-stop. The modern service includes self-service kiosks and mobile ordering.

Opened on 12 April 1992 with the park, Café Hyperion occupies the large building above the former Videopolis, the original show venue. With around 1,100 seats, it’s the biggest quick-service restaurant at Disneyland Paris.
The space was renovated in 2015, with an updated retro-futuristic setting, a big screen showing Disney shorts non-stop and new staging around the Hyperion airship.

My verdict
Café Hyperion is the largest quick-service restaurant at Disneyland Paris, in Discoveryland under the Videopolis airship. Its big plus is its huge capacity of 1,100 seats and its view of the stage, ideal for coping with the crowds without waiting outside.
I’ve eaten here several times and the burgers, sometimes Star Wars themed, are really good. Allow around €15 per adult and €10 per child in this restaurant, open since 1992, and I like that the ordering kiosks happily accept the Disneyland Pass discount. It’s under cover and air-conditioned depending on the season, which is a real comfort. The downside: when it’s packed the dining room gets noisy, and the menu is limited to burgers and salads.
I recommend it for families in a hurry and Star Wars fans looking for a meal under cover. Less suited if you want variety or a quiet setting.

Your questions about this restaurant
01 Where can you eat cheaply in the Disneyland Paris parks?
To keep costs down, go for the quick-service counters rated €. Casey’s Corner serves hot dogs on Main Street, Café Hyperion does burgers and nuggets in Discoveryland, Colonel Hathi’s Outpost Restaurant serves pizza slices in Adventureland, and Cowboy Cookout Barbecue in Frontierland is still a good deal. Over at Disney Adventure World, Stark Factory and Super Diner remain affordable. Tip: Mobile Order (Click & Collect) in the app also lets you order at some counters without having to queue. And if you’re a bit peckish, a snack (waffle, churros, ice cream) for €5 to €10 does the job nicely.
02 Are there kids’ menus in the Disney restaurants?
Yes, almost all Disneyland Paris restaurants offer a child price (ages 3-11). In the all-you-can-eat buffets, children pay around half price: Agrabah Café at €25, Cape Cod at €25, La Cantina at €20. Classic table-service restaurants also have a children’s set menu with a suitable starter, main course and dessert. At the quick-service counters, you’ll find kids’ set meals with a drink and a dessert included. You can ask for a high chair when you book, using the "special request" field.
03 Are there vegetarian and vegan options in the Disneyland Paris restaurants?
Yes, more and more Disneyland Paris restaurants offer vegetarian and vegan options. The Lucky Nugget Saloon in Frontierland serves a full vegan set menu, and Toad Hall Restaurant in Fantasyland has really nice breaded plant-based crispy bites. Most other table-service restaurants and buffets have at least one vegetarian dish on the menu. Simpler buffets such as Agrabah Café or Cape Cod also offer meat-free alternatives. To check the details, download my free file by email with all the Disneyland Paris restaurant menus: that way you can spot the veggie options before your visit.
04 Where can you get an afternoon snack or a quick bite in the parks?
The parks are full of kiosks and snack stands for when you’re a bit peckish. For something sweet, there’s Cookie Kitchen on Main Street U.S.A., March Hare Refreshments in Fantasyland, waffle and churros stands just about everywhere, and roaming popcorn and ice cream sellers. For something savoury, the hot dogs at Casey’s Corner. Allow €5 to €10 per snack. Little tip: some stands sell reusable collectible popcorn buckets that make lovely souvenirs and give you refills at a reduced price all day.
05 How does Mobile Order (Click & Collect) work for Disney restaurants, and which ones take part?
Mobile Order (Click & Collect) lets you pre-order your meal in the official Disneyland Paris mobile app and pick it up at the time you choose, without queuing. Log in to the app, choose the restaurant and the time slot, select your dishes, pay online (the annual pass code can be applied) and get your voucher by email. The 8 participating restaurants are: Au Chalet de la Marionnette (Fantasyland), Café Hyperion (Discoveryland), Casa de Coco (Frontierland), Casey’s Corner (Main Street), Cowboy Cookout Barbecue (Frontierland), Hakuna Matata (Adventureland), Last Chance Cafe (Frontierland) and The Hollywood Gardens Restaurant (World Premiere at Disney Adventure World). The service is free, but orders are for the same day only.
