At a glance
Captain Jack’s - Restaurant des Pirates is a table-service restaurant in Adventureland, in Disneyland Park. It opened on 24 July 2017, replacing the Blue Lagoon Restaurant, and draws on the world of the Pirates of the Caribbean films. The storyline presents it as a hideout that Captain Jack Sparrow supposedly won in a bet with Angelica Teach.
The decor recreates a dimly lit Caribbean fort, dotted with wanted posters of famous pirates, rum barrels, treasure maps, weapons left at the entrance and archive sketches signed by Marc Davis. The dining room looks directly onto the Pirates of the Caribbean ride: you can watch the boats go by during your meal. An unexpected encounter with Jack Sparrow is possible.
The menu focuses on Creole and Caribbean food: chicken colombo, fish in sauce, seafood, exotic fruit, roasted pineapple. The restaurant offers an adult set menu, a children’s set menu for ages 3-11 and also à la carte dishes.
A table in the middle of the ride. Diners eat on wooden walkways directly overlooking the lagoon of the Pirates of the Caribbean ride. You watch the boats glide past the pirate village by the dim light of the lanterns. The menu features Creole food, with grilled fish dishes and chicken colombo with gentle spices.

The most popular tables go fast, often several weeks ahead: I recommend booking as soon as your dates are set. Have a look at the menu before you go too, you’ll know straight away whether this restaurant suits you and you won’t waste time on the spot.

History
Opened on 24 July 2017 after the complete renovation of Pirates of the Caribbean, Captain Jack’s took over the space of the former Blue Lagoon, which had been there since 12 April 1992.
The renovation kept the layout of the tables on walkways overlooking the pirates’ lagoon, but completely changed the decor, added shipwreck scenes and changed the menu. It’s one of the few Disney restaurants in the world set inside a ride.

Pros and cons
Strong points
- Immersive, fully themed decor
- Direct view of the ride
- Jack Sparrow may drop by
- Creole food you rarely find elsewhere
Weak points
- Dim lighting all day
- Exotic flavours that may surprise you
- Fairly limited kids’ menu
My verdict
Captain Jack’s - Restaurant des Pirates is a full table-service restaurant set right inside the Pirates of the Caribbean ride, in Adventureland. Its biggest strength is the immersive decor, with a direct view of the ride’s boats gliding past during your meal.
I haven’t tried this restaurant yet. My opinion is based on my research and on what I’ve heard from people I know and from Disney fans. Feedback mostly praises the immersion and the Creole food, which you rarely find elsewhere in the resort, with a budget of around €55 per adult and €30 per child. The restaurant opened in 2017 and has 280 seats. Two drawbacks come up often: the dim lighting all day and exotic flavours that may surprise you, with a somewhat limited kids’ menu. A few lucky diners even bump into Jack Sparrow in the dining room.
I’d recommend it for Pirates of the Caribbean fans and lovers of Creole food. Less suitable for fussy children, or if you prefer a bright dining room.

Your questions about this restaurant
01 How do you book a table at a Disneyland Paris restaurant?
You have four ways to book. The easiest is the official Disneyland Paris app ("Dining" section), from your Disney account. You can also call the booking line on +33 (0)1 60 30 40 50, use the official website via the Dining menu or book on site at City Hall, Studio Services or your Disney hotel’s concierge desk. Before you choose, I suggest downloading my free file by email, which brings together all the menus of the Disneyland Paris restaurants. It really helps you make up your mind.
02 How far in advance can you book a restaurant at Disneyland Paris?
It depends on how you’re visiting. If you’re staying in a Disney hotel, you can book up to 1 year ahead, as soon as your stay is confirmed: a real advantage for the most popular restaurants like the Auberge de Cendrillon or the character buffets. If you’re coming for the day, without a Disney hotel, you can book up to 2 months (60 days) ahead. You can book in the Disneyland Paris app, on the official website or by phone on +33 (0)1 60 30 40 50. My advice: book as soon as the window opens for character restaurants and for evenings at weekends or during French school holidays, otherwise the slots disappear fast.
03 Can you still get a table on the day without booking?
Yes, it’s possible but not guaranteed. Some restaurants run a "walk-in queue" depending on the tables freed up during the day. Go to the restaurant’s reception desk and ask if there’s any room left. The mobile app also shows slots that open up in real time (last-minute cancellations), and I check it regularly when I’m after a last-minute table. Otherwise, fall back on the quick-service counters and snack stands, which never need a booking. Tip: eating lunch at an off-peak time (before 12:00 or after 14:00) greatly improves your chances of finding a table without booking.
04 How do I cancel a Disneyland Paris restaurant booking?
You can cancel easily in the official Disneyland Paris mobile app. Go to "Account > My table reservations", select the booking and confirm the cancellation. You can also cancel by phone on +33 (0)1 60 30 40 50. Remember to cancel as soon as you know you won’t make it: it frees up a table for other visitors and is a nice thing to do. Important: you can’t change the time or the number of diners directly in the app. If you need to change it, you have two options: cancel and make a new booking (if slots are still available), or call the reservations centre on +33 (0)1 60 30 40 50.
05 Can you ask for a high chair or a birthday cake, or mention a meal plan, when booking?
Yes, when you book (app, phone or website), there’s a "Special request" field where you can make several requests. You can mention a high chair for a baby, a birthday cake (at an extra cost) or a food intolerance or allergy. You can also say that you want to use your half-board plan. For the birthday cake, I’d advise mentioning it as soon as you book to be sure one is available. If you didn’t, you can also ask directly when you arrive at the restaurant, and they’ll try to sort something out depending on what they have in stock that day.
