At a glance

PYM Kitchen is an all-you-can-eat buffet restaurant at Disney Adventure World, in the Marvel Avengers Campus land, right next to the Spider-Man W.E.B Adventure ride. It opened at the same time as the Avengers Campus land, replacing the former Restaurant des Stars.

The concept recreates the food lab of Dr Hank Pym, the scientist seen in Ant-Man and Ant-Man and the Wasp. His Pym Particles technology can make food bigger or smaller, which gives a buffet where giant hot dogs and burgers sit alongside mini burgers, extra-long green beans, blue mayonnaise and other taste experiments.

The theming goes all the way: red, yellow and blue industrial pipes running across the ceiling, PYM LABS signs, murals of Ant-Man and giant ants carrying fruit and vegetables, all explained by a "particle leak" behind the changes in size.

The tableware carries on the scientific theme, with water served in Erlenmeyer flasks, condiments in test tubes, cocktails served in beakers and a wine list presented on a lab clipboard. Staff wear chemists’ outfits rather than a classic waiter’s uniform.

The food is American, served as an all-you-can-eat buffet, with vegetarian and vegan options.

What makes it stand out

The buffet that changes size. Every portion is altered by the particles of Hank Pym, the scientist from Ant-Man. You’ll find giant pretzels, oversized burgers to share and tiny desserts. This all-you-can-eat buffet offers an unusual meal in a Marvel lab, with over 50 dishes to choose from for everyone.

The most popular tables go fast, often several weeks ahead: I recommend booking as soon as your dates are set. Have a look at the menu before you go too, you’ll know straight away whether this restaurant suits you and you won’t waste time on the spot.

History

Opened on 20 July 2022 with the launch of Avengers Campus, PYM Kitchen stands on the site of the former Restaurant des Stars, merged with the old round dining room of Café Café.

This merger raised capacity to around 300 covers. The restaurant was completely rebuilt with a scientific theme inspired by the size-changing inventions of Dr Hank Pym, aka Ant-Man.

My verdict

Julie
Julie ★★★½☆ 200+ visits since 2023

PYM Kitchen is an all-you-can-eat Marvel buffet in Avengers Campus, set in Dr Pym’s former lab. Its strength is the original concept of giant and miniature dishes, served in a very detailed scientific setting.

I ate there in 2024 and the PYM Particles concept, with its themed tableware, is really fun to discover. Allow around €45 per adult and €25 per child, drink included, in this 300-cover restaurant opened in 2022. My main gripe: I find the buffet lacks variety for an all-you-can-eat format, and the room gets noisy when it’s full. The setting remains its real highlight.

I recommend it for Marvel fans won over by the concept and the setting. Less suited if you want a very varied buffet at the best price.

Your questions about this restaurant

01 How do you book a table at a Disneyland Paris restaurant?

You have four ways to book. The easiest is the official Disneyland Paris app ("Dining" section), from your Disney account. You can also call the booking line on +33 (0)1 60 30 40 50, use the official website via the Dining menu or book on site at City Hall, Studio Services or your Disney hotel’s concierge desk. Before you choose, I suggest downloading my free file by email, which brings together all the menus of the Disneyland Paris restaurants. It really helps you make up your mind.

02 How far in advance can you book a restaurant at Disneyland Paris?

It depends on how you’re visiting. If you’re staying in a Disney hotel, you can book up to 1 year ahead, as soon as your stay is confirmed: a real advantage for the most popular restaurants like the Auberge de Cendrillon or the character buffets. If you’re coming for the day, without a Disney hotel, you can book up to 2 months (60 days) ahead. You can book in the Disneyland Paris app, on the official website or by phone on +33 (0)1 60 30 40 50. My advice: book as soon as the window opens for character restaurants and for evenings at weekends or during French school holidays, otherwise the slots disappear fast.

03 Can you still get a table on the day without booking?

Yes, it’s possible but not guaranteed. Some restaurants run a "walk-in queue" depending on the tables freed up during the day. Go to the restaurant’s reception desk and ask if there’s any room left. The mobile app also shows slots that open up in real time (last-minute cancellations), and I check it regularly when I’m after a last-minute table. Otherwise, fall back on the quick-service counters and snack stands, which never need a booking. Tip: eating lunch at an off-peak time (before 12:00 or after 14:00) greatly improves your chances of finding a table without booking.

04 How do I cancel a Disneyland Paris restaurant booking?

You can cancel easily in the official Disneyland Paris mobile app. Go to "Account > My table reservations", select the booking and confirm the cancellation. You can also cancel by phone on +33 (0)1 60 30 40 50. Remember to cancel as soon as you know you won’t make it: it frees up a table for other visitors and is a nice thing to do. Important: you can’t change the time or the number of diners directly in the app. If you need to change it, you have two options: cancel and make a new booking (if slots are still available), or call the reservations centre on +33 (0)1 60 30 40 50.

05 Can you ask for a high chair or a birthday cake, or mention a meal plan, when booking?

Yes, when you book (app, phone or website), there’s a "Special request" field where you can make several requests. You can mention a high chair for a baby, a birthday cake (at an extra cost) or a food intolerance or allergy. You can also say that you want to use your half-board plan. For the birthday cake, I’d advise mentioning it as soon as you book to be sure one is available. If you didn’t, you can also ask directly when you arrive at the restaurant, and they’ll try to sort something out depending on what they have in stock that day.
