At a glance

La Table de Lumière is the fine-dining restaurant at the Disneyland Hotel, the 5-star hotel right at the entrance to the Disneyland Paris park, opened as part of the hotel’s complete renovation. The idea combines French haute cuisine with a Beauty and the Beast theme.

The decor draws on the Hall of Mirrors at the Palace of Versailles: chandeliers, mirrors, elegant furniture, an everlasting rose as a centrepiece and an animated statue of Belle and the Beast dancing in the middle of the room.

It’s a single set menu with table service: an amuse-bouche, a starter, a main course, a dessert and petits fours, built around refined French food. A champagne option is available. The experience includes a meet and greet at your table with Disney royal couples (Belle, Ariel, Tiana, Snow White and Aurora with their princes), who take time to chat with diners. Five couples take turns: three are there at each meal, and the line-up changes every day. The service is personal, in the style of top restaurants.

What makes it stand out

Dinner with Disney’s royal couples. The Disneyland Hotel’s signature restaurant, inspired by Beauty and the Beast: three royal couples (out of five on rotation) come round to greet each table in exclusive costumes. Refined French food in a drawing-room setting with animated chandeliers.

The most popular tables go fast, often several weeks ahead: I recommend booking as soon as your dates are set. Have a look at the menu before you go too, you’ll know straight away whether this restaurant suits you and you won’t waste time on the spot.

History

Opened on 25 January 2024, La Table de Lumière replaced the California Grill, which ran from 1992 to 2021, following the complete transformation of the Disneyland Hotel.

The renovation radically changed the design of the old Californian dining room to recreate the hall of mirrors in the Beast’s castle from the film Beauty and the Beast, turning it into an exclusive fine-dining venue with the royal couples in attendance.

My verdict

La Table de Lumière is the fine-dining restaurant at the Disneyland Hotel, themed on Beauty and the Beast and inspired by the Hall of Mirrors at Versailles. Its strengths are the lavish setting and meeting Disney royal couples at your table, something you won’t find anywhere else in the resort.

I haven’t tried this restaurant yet. My verdict is based on my research and what I’ve heard from people I know and from Disney fans. Opened in 2024, it serves a set menu of semi-gastronomic French food for €120 per adult and €60 per child, including a meet and greet with the princes and princesses. Feedback praises the decor and the very attentive service, but opinions on the food are mixed, a table is hard to get and there are no dishes à la carte. Above all, it’s an upmarket character dining experience.

I’d recommend it for a special dinner and for princess fans happy to splash out. Less suited if you’re expecting Michelin-starred food or a reasonable budget.

Your questions about this restaurant

01 Which restaurants offer character dining at Disneyland Paris?

Five restaurants offer character dining at Disneyland Paris. In Disneyland Park, there’s Plaza Gardens Restaurant on Main Street (all-you-can-eat buffet with Mickey, Minnie and Donald, currently closed for refurbishment until 2027) and Auberge de Cendrillon in Fantasyland (table service with the Princesses). Since March 2026, Regal View Restaurant & Lounge has been open in Disney Adventure World with a Princess buffet. At the hotels, Royal Banquet and La Table de Lumière at the Disneyland Hotel also offer character dining: see the Hotels FAQ section for details.

02 How much does a character meal cost and how do you book one?

Character meals cost between €50 and €120 per adult, depending on the restaurant. Plaza Gardens is around €50-80 (closed for refurbishment until 2027), the Auberge de Cendrillon between €60 and €95, and the Regal View Restaurant is in the same range. At the hotels, the Royal Banquet costs around €100 per adult and La Table de Lumière €120. These prices come from the official Disneyland Paris website and may change. In particular, they’re higher during special events such as Christmas Eve or New Year’s Eve. To book, use the official Disneyland Paris app, the Disneyland Paris website or call +33 1 60 30 40 50.

03 How do you book a table at a Disneyland Paris restaurant?

You have four ways to book. The easiest is the official Disneyland Paris app ("Dining" section), from your Disney account. You can also call the booking line on +33 (0)1 60 30 40 50, use the official website via the Dining menu or book on site at City Hall, Studio Services or your Disney hotel’s concierge desk. Before you choose, I suggest downloading my free file by email, which brings together all the menus of the Disneyland Paris restaurants. It really helps you make up your mind.

04 How far in advance can you book a restaurant at Disneyland Paris?

It depends on how you’re visiting. If you’re staying in a Disney hotel, you can book up to 1 year ahead, as soon as your stay is confirmed: a real advantage for the most popular restaurants like the Auberge de Cendrillon or the character buffets. If you’re coming for the day, without a Disney hotel, you can book up to 2 months (60 days) ahead. You can book in the Disneyland Paris app, on the official website or by phone on +33 (0)1 60 30 40 50. My advice: book as soon as the window opens for character restaurants and for evenings at weekends or during French school holidays, otherwise the slots disappear fast.

05 Can you still get a table on the day without booking?

Yes, it’s possible but not guaranteed. Some restaurants run a "walk-in queue" depending on the tables freed up during the day. Go to the restaurant’s reception desk and ask if there’s any room left. The mobile app also shows slots that open up in real time (last-minute cancellations), and I check it regularly when I’m after a last-minute table. Otherwise, fall back on the quick-service counters and snack stands, which never need a booking. Tip: eating lunch at an off-peak time (before 12:00 or after 14:00) greatly improves your chances of finding a table without booking.
