Every Disneyland Paris hotel, honestly compared
Official Disney hotel, partner hotel or off-site: I cover almost all of them. Here’s my Disneyland Paris hotels comparison based on your budget, your profile and how far you’re happy to travel.
The right hotel for your situation
Your choice of hotel shapes everything: your budget, the time lost travelling, the atmosphere in the evening and even how tired you feel on the second day. Among the hotels I cover here, there’s bound to be one for you.
I’ve split the hotels into 3 categories: official Disney hotels (right next to the parks, park tickets included, Extra Magic Time), partner hotels (close by with a free shuttle bus, holiday packages possible through Disneyland Paris) and off-site hotels (Val d’Europe and the surrounding area, worth comparing if you want peace and quiet or a lighter budget, but without the Disney experience).

Official Disney, partner or off-site: the 3 types of hotel
Category 1Official Disney hotels
The 7 official Disney hotels sit right next to Disneyland Paris, within walking distance of Disneyland Park (0 to 20 minutes, except for Davy Crockett Ranch). All of them give you Extra Magic Time, 1 hour before the parks open to the public. You also get free parking, delivery of your shopping to your hotel and the Disney holiday package with park tickets included, plus half board or full board as an option. From the 5★ Disneyland Hotel to the 2★ Santa Fe, there’s an official Disney hotel for every budget, from €195 to €1,235/night/person.
Category 2Partner hotels
Partner hotels aren’t next to the Disney parks but rather 10 to 15 minutes away by free shuttle bus or by car. You can book them as a Disney holiday package (hotel + park tickets) at lower prices than the official Disney hotels. But with them, there’s no Extra Magic Time and no delivery of your shopping to the hotel shop. Ideal for stays of more than 3 nights, groups and travellers who have already visited.
Category 3Off-site hotels (Val d’Europe)
Hotels in Val d’Europe and the surrounding area are the tight-budget option (from €90/night), with a paid shuttle, the RER A (Paris suburban train) or a bus. Handy if you want a kitchenette (aparthotels), peace and quiet in the evening, or a combined Paris + Disneyland Paris trip. No Disney holiday package is possible: you book the hotel and the park tickets separately.
How much does a Disney hotel cost?
Price ranges are €195 to €545/night/person for the 2-3★ Disney hotels (Santa Fe, Cheyenne, Sequoia), €235 to €825/night/person for the 4★ hotels (Disney Newport Bay Club, Disney Hotel New York - The Art of Marvel) and €465 to €1,235/night/person for the 5★ Disneyland Hotel. Partner hotels start at €205/night/person. The best prices fall in January-February and September, outside French school holidays. Book 9 to 12 months ahead to lock in good prices.
The perks of official Disney hotels
Beyond the theming, the official Disney hotels bring 3 perks: Extra Magic Time (1 hour early in the morning, with almost empty queues), walking distance to the park (0 to 20 min, no shuttle to wait for if you don’t want one, except at Davy Crockett Ranch) and free delivery of your shopping to your hotel. The Disney holiday package also includes park tickets in the price, with the option to add half board or full board. Based on my 13 hotel stays, I recommend an official Disney hotel for a first visit.

Your questions, my answers
The questions I get most often by email and DM. Answers with real figures, checked and tested on the ground.
01 How much does a trip to Disneyland Paris cost?
The cost of a trip varies a lot depending on the hotel you choose. For a 2-day, 1-night stay for 2 adults and 2 children with park tickets included, expect around €600 at the cheapest official Disney hotel and up to €1,100 at the most upmarket one. On top of that, you need to add meals: the amount depends on the type of restaurant, but I suggest allowing at least €300 for breakfast, lunch, afternoon snack and dinner over the 2 days. In total, budget between €900 and €1,400 for this kind of trip. For a day visit only, the 1-day 1-park ticket starts at €49 per adult with a Bon Plan ticket: allow a budget of at least around €400 for a one-day visit for 2 adults and 2 children, meals included.
02 What is the cheapest Disney hotel?
The cheapest official Disney hotel is Hotel Santa Fe, themed on Cars and Route 66. It’s the resort’s entry-level hotel, about 20 minutes’ walk from the parks. If you’re on an even tighter budget, Davy Crockett Ranch (bungalows in the forest, reachable by car only) can work out cheaper for families, but you’ll need a vehicle. For exact prices, which vary by date, I check the official Disneyland Paris website directly.
03 What’s the difference between an official Disney hotel and a partner hotel?
An official Disney hotel is run by Disneyland Paris and gives you exclusive perks: Extra Magic Time in the morning before the parks officially open, free delivery of your shop purchases to the hotel and a fully themed setting. A partner hotel (such as Explorers, Adagio or B&B) is a privately run hotel near the resort, usually cheaper, but without Extra Magic Time or Disney theming. For me, staying in a Disney hotel really makes a difference to the immersion, but if your budget is tight, the partner hotels are a decent option.
04 Which Disney hotel should you choose with kids?
For a stay with kids, I recommend the Hotel Cheyenne: a very immersive Wild West atmosphere (saloon, Western streets, ponies) at an affordable price, and little ones love it. The Newport Bay Club is also an excellent choice thanks to its large pool with children’s areas. The Sequoia Lodge appeals to families who like a Disney-style forest atmosphere. Avoid the Davy Crockett Ranch if you don’t have a car, as getting to the parks from there is more of a hassle.
05 Which Disney hotel is closest to the parks?
The Disneyland Hotel is by far the closest: it sits right above the entrance to Disneyland Park, 0 minutes on foot. It’s literally the park’s entrance gate. Next comes Hotel New York - The Art of Marvel, a 10-minute walk away, then the Newport Bay Club and the Sequoia Lodge, 15 minutes away. The Cheyenne and the Santa Fe are about 20 minutes away. The Davy Crockett Ranch can’t be reached on foot, you need a car.
