Accessibility statement

I want this blog to be readable and usable by as many people as possible, including disabled people. Here’s where I stand, and how to report a problem to me.

Last updated: 7 October 2026

My commitment

I want julieears.com to stay accessible to everyone, whatever your device, your browser or any disability you may have. The site aims for level AA of the international accessibility guidelines (WCAG 2.2), which also form the basis of the French RGAA standard.

Compliance status

julieears.com is partially compliant with level AA. The vast majority of pages and components meet the criteria: heading structure, alternative text on images, keyboard navigation, page landmarks (header, content, footer), contrast of body text and correctly labelled forms.

What may still cause problems

At the moment, the known issue is this: some decorative pink labels (section kickers, small tags, numbers) use the brand colour, whose contrast on a light background stays below the recommended threshold. These are secondary elements: the main text itself meets the contrast requirements. A few advanced interactive components (comparison tabs, table of contents panel) could still work better with screen readers. These issues have been identified and are being tracked.

How was the site assessed?

Accessibility was checked with a combination of automated tools (axe-core, Lighthouse) and manual checks: keyboard navigation, page structure and contrast. This statement was drawn up on 13 July 2026 and will be updated as improvements are made.

Report a problem to me

If you have trouble accessing any content, let me know and I’ll fix it as soon as possible. You can reach me via the Contact page. Tell me which page is affected and what went wrong, it helps me act quickly.

Your options for redress

If you notice an accessibility issue and my reply doesn’t satisfy you, you can refer the matter to the Defender of Rights (the French ombudsman), through its online form or one of its local representatives near you.
