At a glance
Plaza Gardens Restaurant is an all-you-can-eat buffet restaurant on Main Street U.S.A., in Disneyland Park. It follows the Victorian style of the land and takes the form of a large orangery with bright glass roofs.
The outside stands out with a richly decorated entrance, carved columns, double wooden doors with decorative stained glass and an illuminated sign in retro lettering. Inside, it takes its cues from Victorian winter gardens: a large, bright dining room that opens onto the surrounding greenery.
The food is an all-you-can-eat buffet of French and international dishes, with starters, meat, fish, vegetables, sides and a variety of desserts. At breakfast and dinner, the restaurant offers a "Character Dining" experience: around six characters take turns at the tables from a changing line-up (Mickey, Minnie, Donald, Goofy, Pluto, Winnie the Pooh, Tigger, Pinocchio, Captain Hook and more).
An all-you-can-eat buffet in 1900 style. Set in an elegant Victorian glasshouse at the far end of Main Street U.S.A., this pavilion serves a wide range of international food. The restaurant offers Disney character dining at breakfast and dinner. Mickey, Minnie and their friends go from table to table throughout your family’s meal.

History
Opened on 12 April 1992, Plaza Gardens Restaurant is the oldest all-you-can-eat buffet in Disneyland Park. While the park was being developed, the building was due to be called Victoria’s Home-Style Restaurant, before that name was given to another building.
The richly decorated Victorian architecture and the large windows looking out over Central Plaza have stayed the same over the years, with no change of concept. In 2017, the restaurant started offering Disney character dining.

My verdict
Plaza Gardens Restaurant is an all-you-can-eat buffet on Main Street U.S.A., set in an elegant Victorian orangery, with character meet and greets in the evening. Its strong point is the huge choice of dishes combined with Disney characters at your table, perfect for the whole family.
It’s one of my favourites at Disneyland Paris, where I’ve eaten several times, most recently with my family and my little one. Allow around €45 per adult and €25 per child in this 331-seat restaurant, open since 1992, with a varied buffet and visits from lots of characters such as Mickey, Minnie and their friends in the evening. My one regret is that there’s no view of the castle, and the dining room gets noisy when it’s full. Booking is strongly recommended, especially in peak season.
I recommend it for families who want a buffet and character meet and greets in one meal. Less suited if you’re after peace and quiet or a view of the castle.

Your questions about this restaurant
01 Which restaurants offer character dining at Disneyland Paris?
Five restaurants offer character dining at Disneyland Paris. In Disneyland Park, there’s Plaza Gardens Restaurant on Main Street (all-you-can-eat buffet with Mickey, Minnie and Donald, currently closed for refurbishment until 2027) and Auberge de Cendrillon in Fantasyland (table service with the Princesses). Since March 2026, Regal View Restaurant & Lounge has been open in Disney Adventure World with a Princess buffet. At the hotels, Royal Banquet and La Table de Lumière at the Disneyland Hotel also offer character dining: see the Hotels FAQ section for details.
02 How much does a character meal cost and how do you book one?
Character meals cost between €50 and €120 per adult, depending on the restaurant. Plaza Gardens is around €50-80 (closed for refurbishment until 2027), the Auberge de Cendrillon between €60 and €95, and the Regal View Restaurant is in the same range. At the hotels, the Royal Banquet costs around €100 per adult and La Table de Lumière €120. These prices come from the official Disneyland Paris website and may change. In particular, they’re higher during special events such as Christmas Eve or New Year’s Eve. To book, use the official Disneyland Paris app, the Disneyland Paris website or call +33 1 60 30 40 50.
03 Which characters can you meet at the Auberge de Cendrillon and at Plaza Gardens?
At the Auberge de Cendrillon (Fantasyland), you meet the Disney Princesses on rotation: Cinderella of course, but also Ariel, Aurora, Snow White, Merida, Rapunzel and Tiana. They aren’t all there at the same meal, and the line-up changes from day to day. At the Plaza Gardens Restaurant on Main Street, you’ll see Mickey, Minnie, Donald, Goofy, Pluto, Winnie the Pooh and other friends, with a more relaxed all-you-can-eat buffet format (watch out, the restaurant is currently closed for refurbishment until 2027). In both cases, the characters go from table to table to sign autograph books and pose for photos.
04 How do you book a table at a Disneyland Paris restaurant?
You have four ways to book. The easiest is the official Disneyland Paris app ("Dining" section), from your Disney account. You can also call the booking line on +33 (0)1 60 30 40 50, use the official website via the Dining menu or book on site at City Hall, Studio Services or your Disney hotel’s concierge desk. Before you choose, I suggest downloading my free file by email, which brings together all the menus of the Disneyland Paris restaurants. It really helps you make up your mind.
05 How far in advance can you book a restaurant at Disneyland Paris?
It depends on how you’re visiting. If you’re staying in a Disney hotel, you can book up to 1 year ahead, as soon as your stay is confirmed: a real advantage for the most popular restaurants like the Auberge de Cendrillon or the character buffets. If you’re coming for the day, without a Disney hotel, you can book up to 2 months (60 days) ahead. You can book in the Disneyland Paris app, on the official website or by phone on +33 (0)1 60 30 40 50. My advice: book as soon as the window opens for character restaurants and for evenings at weekends or during French school holidays, otherwise the slots disappear fast.
