What julieears.com collects (very little), why, for how long, and how to exercise your rights.
Last updated: 7 October 2026
The essentials in two sentences: julieears.com collects very little data, sells it to no one, and does not track you (no tracking cookies). Here, in plain English, is what is collected, why, and how to exercise your rights.
Who is responsible?
The data controller is Julie Lambert, sole trader (Julie Ears), publisher of the website. For any question about your data: contact@julieears.com.
What data, and why?
- Contact form
- your name, email address and message, only so I can reply to you. Legal basis: legitimate interest (replying to your request).
- Newsletter
- your email address, only to send you the newsletter you signed up for. Legal basis: your consent. Every email contains an unsubscribe link.
- Audience measurement
- anonymous, cookie-free visit statistics (the Umami tool), hosted on my own server. No consent is required, since no cookie is set and the measurement stays anonymous. Details on the Cookies page.
- Technical logs
- like any website, server logs (IP address, connection times) are kept by the host for security purposes.
No data is sold, rented or used for targeted advertising. The website never asks for sensitive data.
How long?
- Contact messages
- as long as it takes to deal with your request, then 12 months at most.
- Newsletter
- until you unsubscribe.
- Visit statistics
- 14 months at most.
- Server logs
- 12 months at most.
Who has access?
Only I and my technical service providers, who process it on my behalf, can access your data:
- o2switch, based in Clermont-Ferrand (France): website hosting.
- PulseHeberg (server located in Paris, France): hosting of the website’s management data and of the audience measurement (self-hosted, with no transfer to a third party).
- Brevo (Paris, France): sending the newsletter.
- Affiliate platforms (mainly TradeDoubler), through which the website’s booking links pass before redirecting to the official Disneyland Paris website. An attribution cookie may be set at the moment you click, on their domains and that of the destination website, never on julieears.com while you simply browse. The sponsored images shown on the website are hosted by the website itself and do not set advertising cookies.
Your rights
Under the GDPR, you have the right of access, rectification, erasure, restriction, objection and portability regarding your data, and you can withdraw your consent at any time (for example by unsubscribing from the newsletter).
To exercise these rights, email contact@julieears.com. I’ll reply within a month at most. If you feel your rights are not being respected, you can lodge a complaint with the CNIL (cnil.fr).
