Disneyland Paris is open 365 days a year. Disneyland Park and Disney Adventure World (formerly Walt Disney Studios Park) open at 9:30 on quiet days and at 9:00 on the busiest days (French school holidays, autumn weekends, events). They usually close between 21:00 and 22:40, but as early as 19:00 on some November evenings and at 23:00 on Halloween night: it all depends on the season, the day of the week and events.
Since the second park was renamed, the 2 parks have almost identical opening times. These times shift throughout the year, mainly because evening closing follows the night-time show, and so the time of sunset. The banner above gives you today’s opening times for each park. For the exact time on the day of your visit, the official Disneyland Paris app is still the one to trust.
What time does Disneyland Paris open and close?
The 2 parks open at the same time in the morning and close at the same time in the evening. The banner at the top of this page shows today’s opening, closing and Extra Magic Time for Disneyland Park and for Disney Adventure World.
Exact opening times are only published about 2 months in advance and can be adjusted up to the last minute. For tomorrow, this week or the exact day of your visit, always check the official app or the Disneyland Paris website: once the date is known, they are the only reliable sources.
How do opening times change through the year?
In winter, the parks open later and close earlier. In summer, they open earlier and stay open much later, because the night-time show starts after sunset. Weekends, French bank holidays and French school holidays also mean longer opening times than an ordinary week.
To give you an idea: in high summer, it gets dark late, the night-time show runs in the evening after sunset and closing follows. In December, it gets dark early, the show runs much earlier and the parks close earlier. This sunset logic explains most of the variations.
The times below are typical opening times for the 2 parks. They’re a guide, not guaranteed times: always check the exact day in the official app.

In practice, expect short days in the off-peak season (January outside the French school holidays, for example) and long days in peak season (Christmas, July-August, long weekends). If you’re looking for the opening times of a specific period such as the French autumn half-term (Toussaint), Christmas or August, it works the same way: the busier the period, the later the parks stay open.
Extra Magic Time (get in 1 hour early)
Extra Magic Time (often shortened to EMT) lets you into the park 1 hour before official opening. It’s reserved for Disney hotel guests and some annual pass holders (depending on the pass level). Only a selection of rides is open during this slot, but crowds are very light: it’s the best time to do the big rides with no queue.
The slot depends on that day’s opening time, since it always starts 1 hour before. Both parks offer Extra Magic Time.

How late can you go on the rides?
Yes, you can ride right up to the end of the day: the queue closes at park closing time, but if you’re already in it before then, you still get to ride, even if you board afterwards.
That’s why I often save the big rides for the very end of the day: I join the queue just before closing and still get my ride.
Most rides, shops and restaurants are open for the whole time the park is open.
Shows, on the other hand, run several times a day at set times, which you’ll find in the app. Some rides may also be closed for construction work on the day of your visit: remember to check in advance.

Car park opening times
The car park opens from 8:00, before the parks open, which is handy if you’re aiming for Extra Magic Time. For leaving, it stays accessible as long as Disney Village is open: you can have dinner or wander around the Village after the parks close, then pick up your car.
However, you can no longer drive into the car park from around half an hour after the last park closes.
During events or on very busy days, these times may change: plan your journey back accordingly, especially if you’re staying for the night-time show.
Disney Village opening times
Disney Village is home to shops and restaurants, free and open to everyone. It opens before the parks in the morning and closes after them in the evening: its opening hours often run on after the parks close. It’s the handy place to make the evening last, have dinner or do a bit of shopping once the parks have closed.
To give you an idea: most restaurants serve until around 23:00, and some bars stay open later, sometimes until 1:00 or 2:00 in the morning at weekends. Exact times vary by venue and season: check them on site or on the official website.
Disney hotel opening times
Disney hotels are open around the clock for their guests: reception is open 24 hours a day for residents, so you can come and go at any time. Check-in is usually from 15:00 and check-out around 11:00.
A practical point many people don’t know: on your arrival day, you can enjoy the park before your room is even ready. Leave your luggage at reception in the morning and head into the park, including Extra Magic Time, without waiting until 15:00. Likewise, on your departure day, you keep access to the park after check-out.
Hotel facilities, however, have their own opening hours. The shops, restaurants and swimming pool aren’t open all night: ask at reception or check the app for their hours, especially if you plan to have a late dinner or swim in the morning before the park.
Parades and night-time show
The Disneyland Park parade runs once a day, at a time that varies with the season and events. In the evening, each park puts on its own night-time show at closing time: Disney Tales of Magic in Disneyland Park and Disney Cascade of Lights in Disney Adventure World.

Why check the opening times before your visit?
Knowing the opening times in advance really changes your day. You can aim for park opening, or even Extra Magic Time if you’re entitled to it, to do the big rides in peace. You also know how long you can enjoy the park, what time to find a spot for the night-time show and when to plan your journey back.
Finally, think ahead to the end of the evening: the car park closes shortly after the parks, and public transport has its own timetable. Planning the end of your day avoids long waits on the way out.

On the other hand, the Halloween and Christmas seasons bring extra decorations and shows, at the cost of bigger crowds.
05 How can I find the show and parade times on the day of my visit?
Open the official Disneyland Paris app on the morning of your visit: it shows the day’s times for parades, shows and character meets. On site, you’ll also find signs outside the theatre entrances and at City Hall.
06 Who can get Extra Magic Time, and do you need to book?
You’re entitled to it in three cases: if you’re staying at an official Disney hotel (on your arrival day, during your stay and on your departure day), if you’re staying at Villages Nature Paris with a package that includes access, or if you hold a valid Disneyland Pass Gold. Bronze One, Bronze Max and Silver passes don’t include this early access. No booking is needed: just turn up at the park entrance about one hour before official opening, with your MagicPass or your Gold pass. Hotel guests should check in online to make the most of it from the first day.
