At a glance
Captain Jack’s - Restaurant des Pirates is a sit-down restaurant located in the Adventureland area of Disneyland Park. Its doors opened on July 24, 2017, where Blue Lagoon Restaurant used to be, and its theme comes from the Pirates of the Caribbean movies. According to the backstory, Captain Jack Sparrow won this hideout from Angelica Teach in a wager.
The decor recreates a dimly lit Caribbean fort, dotted with wanted posters of famous pirates, rum barrels, treasure maps, weapons left at the entrance, and archival sketches signed by Marc Davis. The dining room looks right out onto the Pirates of the Caribbean ride: guests watch the boats float by during their meal. You might even bump into Jack Sparrow.
The menu highlights Creole and Caribbean cooking: chicken colombo, fish in sauce, seafood, tropical fruit, roasted pineapple. The restaurant offers an adult set menu, a kids’ menu for ages 3-11, and à la carte dishes.
A table in the middle of the ride. Diners eat on wooden walkways overlooking the lagoon of the Pirates of the Caribbean ride. You watch the boats glide past the pirate village in the soft glow of the lanterns. The menu features Creole food built around grilled fish dishes and a mildly spiced chicken colombo.

The most popular tables go fast, often several weeks ahead: I recommend booking as soon as your dates are set. Also look at the menu before you go, so you’ll know right away whether this restaurant appeals to you and won’t waste time once you’re there.

History
Opened on July 24, 2017, after a full renovation of the Pirates of the Caribbean ride, Captain Jack’s took the place of the former Blue Lagoon, which had been there since April 12, 1992.
The makeover held on to the tables set on walkways above the pirates’ lagoon, yet it gave the whole place new decor, brought in shipwreck scenes, and introduced a new menu. Very few Disney restaurants anywhere sit inside a ride, and this is one of them.

Pros and cons

- Creole food that’s rare elsewhere
The downsides
- Dim lighting all day
- Tropical flavors that may surprise you
- Fairly limited kids’ menu
My verdict
Captain Jack’s - Restaurant des Pirates offers full table service from within the Pirates of the Caribbean ride itself, in Adventureland. What sets it apart is the immersive setting: during your meal, you can watch the ride’s boats drift past.
I haven’t tried this restaurant yet. My take is based on my research and on what I’ve heard from people I know and from Disney fans. Feedback mostly praises the immersion and the Creole food, which is rare elsewhere in the resort, for a budget of around €55 per adult and €30 per child, spread across the 280 seats of a spot that opened in 2017. Two drawbacks come up often: the dim lighting all day and tropical flavors that can surprise you, plus a somewhat limited kids’ menu. A lucky few even run into Jack Sparrow in the dining room.
I recommend it for Pirates of the Caribbean fans and Creole food lovers. Less suited for picky kids or if you prefer a bright dining room.

Your questions about this restaurant
01 How can I reserve a table at one of the Disneyland Paris restaurants?
There are four ways to book. The easiest is still the official Disneyland Paris app ("Dining" section), signed in to your Disney account. You can also call the reservation line at +33 1 60 30 40 50, use the official website through the Dining menu, or book in person at City Hall, Studio Services, or your Disney hotel’s concierge desk. Before you decide, I suggest you download my free file by email, which gathers every Disneyland Paris restaurant menu in one place. It makes choosing so much easier.
02 How early can I make a Disneyland Paris restaurant reservation?
The booking window depends on where you’re staying. If you’re at a Disney hotel, you can book up to 1 year ahead, as soon as your stay is confirmed. That’s a real advantage for very popular restaurants like Auberge de Cendrillon or the character buffets. If you’re coming for the day without a Disney hotel, you can book up to 2 months (60 days) ahead. You can reserve through the Disneyland Paris app, on the official website, or by phone at +33 1 60 30 40 50. My advice: book the moment the window opens for character dining and for weekend evenings or French school vacation evenings, or the time slots go fast.
03 Is it still possible to get a table the same day with no reservation?
Yes, it’s possible but not guaranteed. Some restaurants run a "walk-in line" depending on the seats that open up during the day. Go to the restaurant’s host stand and ask whether they have room. The app also shows time slots as they free up in real time (last-minute cancellations), and I check it often when I’m after a last-minute table. Otherwise, fall back on the quick-service counters and snack stands, which never require a reservation. Tip: eating lunch at off-peak times (before 12:00 or after 14:00) greatly improves your chances of getting a table without a reservation.
04 How do you cancel a Disney restaurant reservation?
Canceling is easy in the official Disneyland Paris app. Go to "Account > My dining reservations", pick the reservation you want, and confirm the cancellation. You can also cancel by phone at +33 1 60 30 40 50. Cancel as soon as you know you won’t make it: it frees up a spot for other guests and it’s a nice thing to do. Important: you can’t change the time or the number of people in your party directly in the app. If you need a change, you have two options: cancel and make a new reservation (if time slots are still open), or call the reservation line at +33 1 60 30 40 50.
05 When I book, can I request a high chair or a birthday cake, or say I’m using a meal plan?
Yes. When you book (app, phone, or website), you’ll find a "Special Request" field where you can make several requests. You can ask for a high chair for your baby, a birthday cake (at an extra charge), mention a food intolerance or allergy, or let them know you want to use your half-board meal plan. For the birthday cake, I suggest asking right when you book to be sure one is available. If you didn’t, you can also ask when you arrive at the restaurant, and they’ll try to work something out depending on what they have that day.
