At a glance
Café Hyperion is a counter-service restaurant in Discoveryland, in Disneyland Park, right next to the Videopolis theater. When it opened with the park in 1992, it was the largest fast-food restaurant in Europe, and today it’s still the biggest restaurant at Disneyland Paris, with room for more than 1,000 people. Its name is a nod to Hyperion Avenue, where Walt Disney set up his studio in 1926.
The decor follows the retro-futuristic Discoveryland theme inspired by Jules Verne. Its standout features are a big red airship hanging above Videopolis, a copper-toned clock by the registers, exposed metal framework, and murals of world maps and travel posters that recall old airline check-in counters. The dining room sits up high, with a clear view of the Videopolis stage, so you can watch some seasonal shows, mostly at Christmas, right from your table.
Orders are taken at the counter, and the menu focuses on burgers, salads, and fries. For a few years now, there’s been a Star Wars meal tied to the nearby Star Tours and Star Wars Hyperspace Mountain rides, along with seasonal meals for the different celebrations. The restaurant offers Mobile Order (you order in the app and pick up at the counter) through the mobile app.
The biggest fast-food spot in the park. It seats more than 1,100 people under the giant hangar of the Jules Verne airship. You eat your burgers and salads facing the huge Videopolis stage, where animated shorts play nonstop. Service is up to date, with self-order kiosks and mobile ordering.

History
Opened on April 12, 1992, along with the park, Café Hyperion fills the large building above the former Videopolis, the original show venue. With around 1,100 seats, it’s the biggest fast-food restaurant in Disneyland Park at Disneyland Paris.
The space was renovated in 2015, with refreshed retro-futuristic decor, a big screen showing Disney shorts nonstop, and a new staging built around the Hyperion airship.

My verdict
No counter-service spot at Disneyland Paris is bigger than Café Hyperion, set beneath the Videopolis airship in Discoveryland. With 1,100 seats and a view over the stage, it soaks up the lunch rush so you don’t end up waiting outdoors.
I’ve eaten here several times, and the burgers, sometimes with a Star Wars theme, are honestly good. Plan on around €15 per adult and €10 per child at this restaurant, open since 1992, and I like that the ordering kiosks apply the Disneyland Pass discount with no trouble. It’s indoors, with air conditioning depending on the season, which makes a real difference. The downside: when it’s packed, the room gets loud, and the menu sticks to burgers and salads.
I recommend it for families in a hurry and Star Wars fans looking for a meal indoors. It’s less of a fit if you want variety or a calm setting.

Your questions about this restaurant
01 Where can you find cheap eats in the Disneyland Paris parks?
To keep costs down, stick to the quick-service counters rated €. Casey’s Corner serves hot dogs on Main Street, Café Hyperion offers burgers and nuggets in Discoveryland, Colonel Hathi’s Pizza Outpost has pizza by the slice in Adventureland, and Cowboy Cookout Barbecue in Frontierland is still a good deal. Over at Disney Adventure World, Stark Factory and Super Diner remain affordable. Tip: Mobile Order in the app also lets you order at some counters without waiting in line. And for a little snack, a waffle, churros, or ice cream for €5-10 hits the spot.
02 Do Disney restaurants have kids’ menus?
Yes, nearly every Disneyland Paris restaurant has a child price (ages 3-11). At the all-you-can-eat buffets, kids pay about half price: €25 at Agrabah Café, €25 at Cape Cod, €20 at La Cantina. Classic table-service restaurants also have a kids’ menu with a kid-friendly appetizer, main course, and dessert. At the quick-service counters, you’ll find kids’ menus that include a drink and a dessert. You can ask for a high chair when you book, using the "special request" field.
03 Are there vegetarian and vegan options at Disneyland Paris restaurants?
Yes, a growing number of Disneyland Paris restaurants have vegetarian and vegan choices. In Frontierland, Lucky Nugget Saloon offers an entirely vegan menu, and over in Fantasyland, Toad Hall Restaurant serves breaded plant-based crispy bites that are very good. Most of the other table-service restaurants and buffets list at least one vegetarian dish. Simple buffets such as Agrabah Café or Cape Cod have meatless options too. For the full picture, get my free file by email, which gathers the menus of every Disneyland Paris restaurant: you can check the veggie options ahead of your visit.
04 Where should you go for an afternoon treat or a small bite in the parks?
The parks are packed with kiosks and snack stands for when hunger strikes. On the sweet side, there’s Cookie Kitchen on Main Street U.S.A., March Hare Refreshments in Fantasyland, waffle and churro stands all over, and roaming popcorn and ice cream carts. On the savory side, the hot dogs at Casey’s Corner. Plan on €5-10 per snack. Quick tip: some stands sell reusable collectible popcorn buckets that make fun souvenirs and get you discounted refills all day long.
05 What is Mobile Order at Disneyland Paris restaurants, and where can I use it?
Mobile Order lets you order your meal ahead in the official Disneyland Paris mobile app and pick it up at the time you choose, without waiting in line. You sign in to the app, pick the restaurant and the time slot, choose your dishes, pay online (your annual pass discount code works), and get your pickup voucher by email. The 8 participating restaurants are: Au Chalet de la Marionnette (Fantasyland), Café Hyperion (Discoveryland), Casa de Coco (Frontierland), Casey’s Corner (Main Street), Cowboy Cookout Barbecue (Frontierland), Hakuna Matata (Adventureland), Last Chance Cafe (Frontierland), and The Hollywood Gardens Restaurant (World Premiere in Disney Adventure World). The service is free, but you can only order for the same day.
