At a glance

The Yacht Club is the table-service restaurant of Disney’s Newport Bay Club, a 4-star hotel inspired by 1920s New England seaside resorts. It carries the hotel’s nautical theme further, drawing on the world of regattas and grand yachts.

The decor is elegant and wood-paneled, with model sailboats, framed sailor’s knots, wall lamps, and other maritime touches. The restaurant is on the ground floor, across from the Cape Cod buffet. A host stand recalls the "private club" feel before you enter the dining room. The servers wear sailor outfits.

The menu highlights New England-inspired dishes with Mediterranean influences.

What sets it apart

Whole lobsters and premium fish. This upscale table-service restaurant at Disney Newport Bay Club welcomes you into an elegant room that recalls the lounges of the great sailing clubs on the American East Coast. The menu centers on fresh lobster, grilled fish, and cuts of meat cooked to order.

The most popular tables go fast, often several weeks ahead: I recommend booking as soon as your dates are set. Also look at the menu before you go, so you’ll know right away whether this restaurant appeals to you and won’t waste time once you’re there.

History

The Yacht Club opened on April 12, 1992, together with Disney’s Newport Bay Club, and it’s the upscale restaurant of this 1,093-room hotel.

Modeled on the luxurious New England sailing clubs of the 1900s, the restaurant has kept its rich dark wood paneling and its model ships since day one. The space has seen no thematic change from architect Robert A.M. Stern’s original vision.

My verdict

Julie
Julie ★★★★☆ 200+ visits since 2023

The Yacht Club is the fine dining restaurant of Disney’s Newport Bay Club, with a New England yacht club theme and a focus on fish and seafood. What sets it apart is the table service in an elegant nautical setting, more intimate than the buffet next door.

I haven’t tried this restaurant yet. My take is based on my research and on what I’ve heard from people I know and from Disney fans. Open since 1992, this restaurant with 220 seats serves seafood for around €55 per adult and €30 per child, in a refined nautical atmosphere. Feedback praises the calmer setting compared with Cape Cod, but points to a limited choice for meat lovers. It’s mostly a spot for adults and couples.

Recommended for a relaxed dinner built around seafood. Less suited to meat lovers or very lively families.

Your questions about this restaurant

01 How can I reserve a table at one of the Disneyland Paris restaurants?

There are four ways to book. The easiest is still the official Disneyland Paris app ("Dining" section), signed in to your Disney account. You can also call the reservation line at +33 1 60 30 40 50, use the official website through the Dining menu, or book in person at City Hall, Studio Services, or your Disney hotel’s concierge desk. Before you decide, I suggest you download my free file by email, which gathers every Disneyland Paris restaurant menu in one place. It makes choosing so much easier.

02 How early can I make a Disneyland Paris restaurant reservation?

The booking window depends on where you’re staying. If you’re at a Disney hotel, you can book up to 1 year ahead, as soon as your stay is confirmed. That’s a real advantage for very popular restaurants like Auberge de Cendrillon or the character buffets. If you’re coming for the day without a Disney hotel, you can book up to 2 months (60 days) ahead. You can reserve through the Disneyland Paris app, on the official website, or by phone at +33 1 60 30 40 50. My advice: book the moment the window opens for character dining and for weekend evenings or French school vacation evenings, or the time slots go fast.

03 Is it still possible to get a table the same day with no reservation?

Yes, it’s possible but not guaranteed. Some restaurants run a "walk-in line" depending on the seats that open up during the day. Go to the restaurant’s host stand and ask whether they have room. The app also shows time slots as they free up in real time (last-minute cancellations), and I check it often when I’m after a last-minute table. Otherwise, fall back on the quick-service counters and snack stands, which never require a reservation. Tip: eating lunch at off-peak times (before 12:00 or after 14:00) greatly improves your chances of getting a table without a reservation.

04 How do you cancel a Disney restaurant reservation?

Canceling is easy in the official Disneyland Paris app. Go to "Account > My dining reservations", pick the reservation you want, and confirm the cancellation. You can also cancel by phone at +33 1 60 30 40 50. Cancel as soon as you know you won’t make it: it frees up a spot for other guests and it’s a nice thing to do. Important: you can’t change the time or the number of people in your party directly in the app. If you need a change, you have two options: cancel and make a new reservation (if time slots are still open), or call the reservation line at +33 1 60 30 40 50.

05 When I book, can I request a high chair or a birthday cake, or say I’m using a meal plan?

Yes. When you book (app, phone, or website), you’ll find a "Special Request" field where you can make several requests. You can ask for a high chair for your baby, a birthday cake (at an extra charge), mention a food intolerance or allergy, or let them know you want to use your half-board meal plan. For the birthday cake, I suggest asking right when you book to be sure one is available. If you didn’t, you can also ask when you arrive at the restaurant, and they’ll try to work something out depending on what they have that day.
