At a glance
Au Chalet de la Marionnette is a quick-service restaurant in Fantasyland, in Disneyland Park. The building has a second entrance on the Adventureland side. The place takes its identity from the movie Pinocchio (1940): the decor is packed with nods to the story, with murals, statues, and silhouettes of Pinocchio, Geppetto, Jiminy Cricket, Figaro, and the Blue Fairy.
From the outside, it looks like a village in the Bavarian Alps: a big chalet with timber framing, balconies covered in flowers, little turrets, roofs in colorful tiles, and lampposts in carved wood. Inside, each dining room has a different feel. Picture village housefronts with timber beams and dormers, ceilings with the beams left exposed, chandeliers made of deer antlers, a rustic tavern with stone archways and stools shaped like barrels, stained-glass lanterns, and murals that retell moments from the movie.
You order at the counter, quick-service style, and you can also use Mobile Order in the mobile app. The menu offers Bavarian- and Alpine-inspired food, with hot dishes such as rotisserie chicken with fries and pastries like apple strudel. A large outdoor terrace shaded by umbrellas adds to the indoor seating.
Bavarian cooking, Pinocchio style. This quick-service spot looks like a carved wood chalet straight out of the European Alps. Inside, murals cover the walls and tell the tale of Pinocchio and Geppetto. Expect rotisserie chicken, pork knuckles, and apple strudel, which you can eat out on the big terraces.

History
Open since April 12, 1992, the day the park opened, Au Chalet de la Marionnette is part of the original lineup. What makes the building special is that it bridges Fantasyland and Adventureland.
The architecture reflects that shift, with interior decor moving from a Bavarian Alpine village (inspired by Pinocchio) to a darker harbor-tavern feel on the adventure side. The restaurant hasn’t had a major theming makeover since it opened.

My verdict
Au Chalet de la Marionnette is a Pinocchio-themed counter in Fantasyland, serving Bavarian-inspired food in an Alpine chalet setting. What sets it apart is the very well-done staging, split into several dining rooms, each with its own mood.
I’ve eaten here several times, and the theming is really polished, even if the open layout sometimes makes the room noisy and a bit dark. Plan on around €15 per adult and €10 per child at this spot, open since 1992, with Mobile Order and an outdoor terrace. The pretzel-bun hot dog makes a nice change, but the menu mostly sticks to burgers. The line gets longer at peak times.
I recommend it for a quick sit-down break in a beautiful Fantasyland setting. Less suited if you want a varied menu or a quiet place.

Your questions about this restaurant
01 Where can you find cheap eats in the Disneyland Paris parks?
To keep costs down, stick to the quick-service counters rated €. Casey’s Corner serves hot dogs on Main Street, Café Hyperion offers burgers and nuggets in Discoveryland, Colonel Hathi’s Pizza Outpost has pizza by the slice in Adventureland, and Cowboy Cookout Barbecue in Frontierland is still a good deal. Over at Disney Adventure World, Stark Factory and Super Diner remain affordable. Tip: Mobile Order in the app also lets you order at some counters without waiting in line. And for a little snack, a waffle, churros, or ice cream for €5-10 hits the spot.
02 Do Disney restaurants have kids’ menus?
Yes, nearly every Disneyland Paris restaurant has a child price (ages 3-11). At the all-you-can-eat buffets, kids pay about half price: €25 at Agrabah Café, €25 at Cape Cod, €20 at La Cantina. Classic table-service restaurants also have a kids’ menu with a kid-friendly appetizer, main course, and dessert. At the quick-service counters, you’ll find kids’ menus that include a drink and a dessert. You can ask for a high chair when you book, using the "special request" field.
03 Are there vegetarian and vegan options at Disneyland Paris restaurants?
Yes, a growing number of Disneyland Paris restaurants have vegetarian and vegan choices. In Frontierland, Lucky Nugget Saloon offers an entirely vegan menu, and over in Fantasyland, Toad Hall Restaurant serves breaded plant-based crispy bites that are very good. Most of the other table-service restaurants and buffets list at least one vegetarian dish. Simple buffets such as Agrabah Café or Cape Cod have meatless options too. For the full picture, get my free file by email, which gathers the menus of every Disneyland Paris restaurant: you can check the veggie options ahead of your visit.
04 Where should you go for an afternoon treat or a small bite in the parks?
The parks are packed with kiosks and snack stands for when hunger strikes. On the sweet side, there’s Cookie Kitchen on Main Street U.S.A., March Hare Refreshments in Fantasyland, waffle and churro stands all over, and roaming popcorn and ice cream carts. On the savory side, the hot dogs at Casey’s Corner. Plan on €5-10 per snack. Quick tip: some stands sell reusable collectible popcorn buckets that make fun souvenirs and get you discounted refills all day long.
05 What is Mobile Order at Disneyland Paris restaurants, and where can I use it?
Mobile Order lets you order your meal ahead in the official Disneyland Paris mobile app and pick it up at the time you choose, without waiting in line. You sign in to the app, pick the restaurant and the time slot, choose your dishes, pay online (your annual pass discount code works), and get your pickup voucher by email. The 8 participating restaurants are: Au Chalet de la Marionnette (Fantasyland), Café Hyperion (Discoveryland), Casa de Coco (Frontierland), Casey’s Corner (Main Street), Cowboy Cookout Barbecue (Frontierland), Hakuna Matata (Adventureland), Last Chance Cafe (Frontierland), and The Hollywood Gardens Restaurant (World Premiere in Disney Adventure World). The service is free, but you can only order for the same day.
