At a glance
Cape Cod is the main restaurant at Disney’s Newport Bay Club, one of the biggest hotels at Disneyland Paris. Inspired by the New England shoreline, it has a seafaring theme with mermaids, golden anchors, and giant shells, in a palette of mostly blue, white, and beige set off by gold railings that recall a cruise liner.
The large dining room is split into several areas: the central section near the buffet, and quieter sections along the sides.
It’s an all-you-can-eat buffet built around Mediterranean and international specialties: cold appetizers, raw vegetables, smoked fish, seafood and shellfish, meats, hot dishes, vegetables, fresh fruit, and desserts, including a chocolate fountain with skewers. Cast Members (Disney employees) seat guests, explain how the buffet works, and take drink orders. The restaurant is open to all visitors, and you don’t need to be staying at a Disney hotel.
All-you-can-eat seafood bar. This large themed buffet at Disney Newport Bay Club takes its cue from the seafaring world of America’s East Coast. Its main draw is a wide spread of fish, shrimp, and fresh seafood laid out on ice for every diner. The big, bright dining rooms are decorated with anchors and seashells.

The most popular tables go fast, often several weeks ahead: I recommend booking as soon as your dates are set. Also look at the menu before you go, so you’ll know right away whether this restaurant appeals to you and won’t waste time once you’re there.

History
Cape Cod opened on April 12, 1992, together with Disney’s Newport Bay Club, and follows the nautical East Coast design that architect Robert A.M. Stern created for the hotel.
The menu and the buffet setup have changed over the years, but the huge, light-filled dining space with its white woodwork and painted world maps has never been structurally altered.

My verdict
Cape Cod is the all-you-can-eat buffet restaurant at Disney’s Newport Bay Club, with a focus on fish and seafood. What makes it stand out is the wide range of seafood in a New England nautical setting, and anyone can eat there.
I haven’t tried this restaurant yet. My take is based on my own research and on what I’ve heard from people I know and from Disney fans. This 444-seat buffet, open since 1992, costs around €45 per adult and €25 per child, with a good choice of fish and seafood. Diners praise the variety but mention a dining room that’s often loud, a busy central area, and a limited choice of desserts. It’s a solid pick if you love seafood.
I’d recommend it for a family fish and seafood buffet. It’s less suited to you if you want to avoid noise or are hoping for lots of dessert options.

Your questions about this restaurant
01 How can I reserve a table at one of the Disneyland Paris restaurants?
There are four ways to book. The easiest is still the official Disneyland Paris app ("Dining" section), signed in to your Disney account. You can also call the reservation line at +33 1 60 30 40 50, use the official website through the Dining menu, or book in person at City Hall, Studio Services, or your Disney hotel’s concierge desk. Before you decide, I suggest you download my free file by email, which gathers every Disneyland Paris restaurant menu in one place. It makes choosing so much easier.
02 How early can I make a Disneyland Paris restaurant reservation?
The booking window depends on where you’re staying. If you’re at a Disney hotel, you can book up to 1 year ahead, as soon as your stay is confirmed. That’s a real advantage for very popular restaurants like Auberge de Cendrillon or the character buffets. If you’re coming for the day without a Disney hotel, you can book up to 2 months (60 days) ahead. You can reserve through the Disneyland Paris app, on the official website, or by phone at +33 1 60 30 40 50. My advice: book the moment the window opens for character dining and for weekend evenings or French school vacation evenings, or the time slots go fast.
03 Is it still possible to get a table the same day with no reservation?
Yes, it’s possible but not guaranteed. Some restaurants run a "walk-in line" depending on the seats that open up during the day. Go to the restaurant’s host stand and ask whether they have room. The app also shows time slots as they free up in real time (last-minute cancellations), and I check it often when I’m after a last-minute table. Otherwise, fall back on the quick-service counters and snack stands, which never require a reservation. Tip: eating lunch at off-peak times (before 12:00 or after 14:00) greatly improves your chances of getting a table without a reservation.
04 How do you cancel a Disney restaurant reservation?
Canceling is easy in the official Disneyland Paris app. Go to "Account > My dining reservations", pick the reservation you want, and confirm the cancellation. You can also cancel by phone at +33 1 60 30 40 50. Cancel as soon as you know you won’t make it: it frees up a spot for other guests and it’s a nice thing to do. Important: you can’t change the time or the number of people in your party directly in the app. If you need a change, you have two options: cancel and make a new reservation (if time slots are still open), or call the reservation line at +33 1 60 30 40 50.
05 When I book, can I request a high chair or a birthday cake, or say I’m using a meal plan?
Yes. When you book (app, phone, or website), you’ll find a "Special Request" field where you can make several requests. You can ask for a high chair for your baby, a birthday cake (at an extra charge), mention a food intolerance or allergy, or let them know you want to use your half-board meal plan. For the birthday cake, I suggest asking right when you book to be sure one is available. If you didn’t, you can also ask when you arrive at the restaurant, and they’ll try to work something out depending on what they have that day.
