At a glance

Hunter’s Grill is one of the two restaurants at Disney’s Sequoia Lodge, a hotel inspired by the mountain forests of the American Northwest and the great timber lodges. It follows a hunting and fishing cabin theme.

Timber beams, wood-paneled walls, and stonework set the scene, along with burgundy banquettes and shelves crowded with rustic finds: hunting trophies, fishing nets, woven baskets, miniature canoes, carved wooden bears and marmots, oil lamps, and antique books. It all adds up to a warm, woodsy feel.

It works as an all-you-can-eat buffet of international food with a strong American lean. The restaurant welcomes hotel guests as well as outside visitors with a reservation. Vegetarian, vegan, and gluten-free options are available.

In winter, Hunter’s Grill is where you’ll find the all-you-can-eat raclette.

What sets it apart

A buffet of meat and cheese. Set inside Sequoia Lodge, this all-you-can-eat restaurant lines up rustic wooden counters full of comfort food. The menu stands out for its roasted meats, hearty winter stews, and a station of melting raclette cheese. A perfect choice for big appetites after a day at the parks with your family.

The most popular tables go fast, often several weeks ahead: I recommend booking as soon as your dates are set. Also look at the menu before you go, so you’ll know right away whether this restaurant appeals to you and won’t waste time once you’re there.

History

Hunter’s Grill opened on May 27, 1992, as the second place to eat at Disney’s Sequoia Lodge.

Across from Beaver Creek Tavern in the main building, the space was designed to look like a forest hunters’ shelter. The stone walls, solid log beams, and rustic American furniture all go back to the hotel’s original opening.

My verdict

Hunter’s Grill is the all-you-can-eat buffet restaurant at Disney’s Sequoia Lodge, with a mountain lodge theme. What sets it apart is a big, varied buffet in a cozy setting, and it’s open to guests who aren’t staying at the hotel too.

I’ve eaten here, and the all-you-can-eat raclette served in winter is a really great idea at Disneyland Paris. Plan on about €45 per adult and €25 per child at this restaurant, open since 1992, with a well-done hunting cabin decor. Watch out, though: the raclette smell is very strong in winter, all the way into the hotel lobby, and crowds build at peak times. The rest of the year, the buffet is still generous and varied.

I recommend it for a hearty buffet dinner, especially for the winter raclette. It’s less of a fit if strong smells bother you or you want a quiet meal.

Your questions about this restaurant

01 How can I reserve a table at one of the Disneyland Paris restaurants?

There are four ways to book. The easiest is still the official Disneyland Paris app ("Dining" section), signed in to your Disney account. You can also call the reservation line at +33 1 60 30 40 50, use the official website through the Dining menu, or book in person at City Hall, Studio Services, or your Disney hotel’s concierge desk. Before you decide, I suggest you download my free file by email, which gathers every Disneyland Paris restaurant menu in one place. It makes choosing so much easier.

02 How early can I make a Disneyland Paris restaurant reservation?

The booking window depends on where you’re staying. If you’re at a Disney hotel, you can book up to 1 year ahead, as soon as your stay is confirmed. That’s a real advantage for very popular restaurants like Auberge de Cendrillon or the character buffets. If you’re coming for the day without a Disney hotel, you can book up to 2 months (60 days) ahead. You can reserve through the Disneyland Paris app, on the official website, or by phone at +33 1 60 30 40 50. My advice: book the moment the window opens for character dining and for weekend evenings or French school vacation evenings, or the time slots go fast.

03 Is it still possible to get a table the same day with no reservation?

Yes, it’s possible but not guaranteed. Some restaurants run a "walk-in line" depending on the seats that open up during the day. Go to the restaurant’s host stand and ask whether they have room. The app also shows time slots as they free up in real time (last-minute cancellations), and I check it often when I’m after a last-minute table. Otherwise, fall back on the quick-service counters and snack stands, which never require a reservation. Tip: eating lunch at off-peak times (before 12:00 or after 14:00) greatly improves your chances of getting a table without a reservation.

04 How do you cancel a Disney restaurant reservation?

Canceling is easy in the official Disneyland Paris app. Go to "Account > My dining reservations", pick the reservation you want, and confirm the cancellation. You can also cancel by phone at +33 1 60 30 40 50. Cancel as soon as you know you won’t make it: it frees up a spot for other guests and it’s a nice thing to do. Important: you can’t change the time or the number of people in your party directly in the app. If you need a change, you have two options: cancel and make a new reservation (if time slots are still open), or call the reservation line at +33 1 60 30 40 50.

05 When I book, can I request a high chair or a birthday cake, or say I’m using a meal plan?

Yes. When you book (app, phone, or website), you’ll find a "Special Request" field where you can make several requests. You can ask for a high chair for your baby, a birthday cake (at an extra charge), mention a food intolerance or allergy, or let them know you want to use your half-board meal plan. For the birthday cake, I suggest asking right when you book to be sure one is available. If you didn’t, you can also ask when you arrive at the restaurant, and they’ll try to work something out depending on what they have that day.
