Disneyland Paris breakfast: where to eat and how to choose

Disney hotels, Disney Village, the parks: here are all the places to eat breakfast at Disneyland Paris, and most importantly how to use that first meal to stretch both your budget and your day.

At Disneyland Paris, there are three places where you can eat breakfast: the Disney hotels, Disney Village, or right inside the parks. Each one fits a different need, from a big all-you-can-eat buffet to a coffee and pastry gulped down before the rides open.

But choosing your breakfast isn’t only about where you eat. It can also make a real difference to your budget and your day. A hearty breakfast can let you keep lunch light, while a grab-and-go breakfast is still the cheapest option. In this article, I walk you through every option by location and, above all, how to choose based on your goal.

Why plan your breakfast at Disneyland Paris?

Breakfast isn’t just a quick stop before the day begins. When you plan it well, it pays off in several ways.

Fuel up before a long day. Days in the parks are intense, and you’re on your feet nonstop. A good breakfast keeps you from crashing mid-morning and from buying snacks on impulse.

Beat the crowds. A fast breakfast on Main Street or an early character slot means you’re ready to go while the rides are still quiet.

Spend time with the characters. A character breakfast gives you a calm, memorable moment, far from the crowds at the meet and greet spots.

Make your budget go further. This is the most overlooked point: depending on your plan and the time of day, breakfast can shape how you spend money for the whole day. I’ll get into that in the next section.

Which breakfast fits your goal?

That’s the question that really matters. Instead of picking a spot at random, start from what you want out of your day. Here are the four most common scenarios.

Save money

Grab something quick at Disney Village (Starbucks, McDonald’s, Le Comptoir), or simply a croissant. Much cheaper than a hotel buffet, and ideal for a family trip of several days.

Save time

A fast breakfast on Main Street right at park opening, so you can head straight to the rides while crowds are still light.

Meet the characters

A character breakfast at the Auberge de Cendrillon (Fantasyland), reservation required. The first morning slot gives you some calm before the crowds arrive.

Comfort and a smart budget

Got breakfast included (Club room or meal plan) or a hotel buffet? Load up in the morning and keep lunch small. That midday meal then costs you less money and less time.

Where can you eat breakfast at Disneyland Paris?

At the Disney hotels

The Disney hotels put out an all-you-can-eat continental buffet that covers all tastes: sweet dishes, savory ones, and at some hotels an English or American spread.

Breakfast is included with Club rooms and with some meal plans. Otherwise, you pay for it at the hotel.

Guests not staying at the hotel can sometimes get in for breakfast, but this is decided day by day based on occupancy, so it isn’t guaranteed. Ask the hotel directly.

Hotels serving breakfast: Beaver Creek Tavern and Hunter’s Grill (Sequoia Lodge), Cape Cod (Newport Bay Club), Chuck Wagon Café (Cheyenne), Downtown Restaurant (New York - The Art of Marvel), La Cantina (Santa Fe), and the Royal Banquet (Disneyland Hotel). For details on each buffet, check the pages for each hotel.

At Disney Village

Disney Village is the place to save money in the morning. You’ll find a bit of everything, from table service to quick takeout:

If keeping costs down is your priority, this is where you’ll find the most affordable options, far cheaper than a hotel buffet. For the full picture on dining in this area, see where to eat at Disney Village.

Inside the parks

Inside the parks themselves, breakfast comes in two forms.

Grab and go. In Disneyland Park, several spots on Main Street serve coffee, pastries, and light bites à la carte: Cable Car Bake Shop, Cookie Kitchen, and Market House Deli. Over in Discoveryland, Café Hyperion is another option for a quick break. In Disney Adventure World, Searchlight (a snack and drink kiosk) and The Hollywood Gardens Restaurant make a good morning stop.

With the characters. The character breakfast is served at Auberge de Cendrillon (Fantasyland). It’s currently the only character breakfast at the resort (and since 2026, Mickey reportedly drops in from time to time too, with no guarantee). Reservations are required, with two morning slots: 8:15 (for Extra Magic Time only) and 9:45 (open to everyone). I cover access rules and how it works in character breakfast.

My tips for a good breakfast

  • Book the character breakfast in the app. For the Auberge de Cendrillon, reserve ahead in the Disneyland Paris app: spots go fast, especially during busy periods.
  • For hotel breakfasts, ask on site. Buffet access isn’t guaranteed if you’re not staying there: check directly with the hotel, since it depends on occupancy.
  • Get there early. Eating breakfast right at opening leaves you the morning for the rides while they’re still quiet.
  • Aim for an early slot. The earlier you go, the calmer it is for photos. The very first slot (8:15) is for Extra Magic Time only. Otherwise, book the earliest one open to everyone (9:45).
  • Think about your overall budget. If breakfast is included or filling, go light at lunch. If not, a quick breakfast at Disney Village keeps your spending in check.
  • Double-check opening status. Things move around at Disney Village, so on the day itself, make sure the restaurant you want is actually serving.

Frequently asked questions

01 Is breakfast at a Disney hotel open to people who aren’t staying there?

You can, but it isn’t guaranteed. Whether non-guests can get into breakfast at the Disney hotels is decided day by day, based on occupancy. Check directly with the hotel, and plan to pay there.

02 Where can I find a cheap breakfast at Disneyland Paris?

Disney Village is the most budget-friendly place in the morning: Starbucks, McDonald’s, or Le Comptoir for a quick breakfast to go, far cheaper than a hotel buffet. A simple pastry remains the lightest option on your wallet.

03 Can I have breakfast right in the parks?

Yes. At Disneyland Park, several spots on Main Street serve coffee and pastries from the menu (Cable Car Bake Shop, Cookie Kitchen, Market House Deli), and so does Café Hyperion in Discoveryland. At Disney Adventure World, Searchlight (kiosk) and The Hollywood Gardens Restaurant make good morning stops.

04 Is breakfast a self-serve, all-you-can-eat buffet?

In the Disney hotels, yes: breakfast is an all-you-can-eat continental buffet, with sweet and savory items. The places in the Village and the parks mostly work à la carte or to go.

05 Should I book restaurants in advance at Disneyland Paris?

Yes, for buffets and table-service restaurants, I strongly recommend it: tables go fast, especially on weekends and during school breaks. Quick-service restaurants and snack kiosks are walk-in only, with no reservation. Book as early as you can, up to 2 months ahead for day guests and up to 1 year ahead if you’re staying at a Disney hotel.

06 How do I eat at Disneyland Paris with a food allergy or special diet?

In every restaurant in the parks and Disney hotels, tell the dining room manager about your allergy as soon as you arrive: you’ll be shown the allergen chart and, if nothing works for you, you’ll be offered a selection of dishes free of the major allergens (gluten included) right there, with no advance order and no extra charge. Vegetarian and vegan options are available everywhere. For kosher and halal meals, order at least 48 hours ahead by calling +33 1 60 30 40 50. You can also bring backup food for a baby or a picky child (baby food jars, bottles), since food is allowed through security.
