Eating at Disneyland Paris: bookings, meal plans and budget

Eating at Disneyland Paris restaurants takes real forward planning, especially if you’re after table-service restaurants or character dining. I’ve tried the vast majority of the buffets and snack spots in the parks to give you an honest review, far from the official line. In this FAQ I’ve gathered all my answers to help you get your bookings on the app, work out whether half board is worth it and find good options for special diets. Here’s my practical advice for eating well without blowing your budget or wasting your time on site.

01 What are the different types of restaurants at Disneyland Paris?

At Disneyland Paris you can choose between 5 main types of restaurants. There are table-service restaurants and character dining. There are all-you-can-eat buffet restaurants, often themed. There are quick-service counters (Casey’s Corner, Café Hyperion, Stark Factory). Finally, there are snack stands and kiosks for ice cream, waffles and popcorn. Each restaurant is rated €, €€, €€€ or €€€€ to help you choose according to your budget. Counters and snack stands are open to walk-ins all day, whereas most table-service restaurants and all the buffets need a reservation.

02 How much does a meal cost at Disneyland Paris?

Prices vary a lot depending on the type of restaurant. As a rough guide (prices change), allow around €15 to €25 per adult at a quick-service counter (€), €30 to €50 at a classic table-service restaurant (€€), and €60 and over at the premium buffets or signature restaurants (€€€ and €€€€). To give you some concrete benchmarks: the Agrabah Café buffet is €45 per adult / €25 per child, Cape Cod €45 / €25, La Cantina €35 / €20. Character dining set menus such as Auberge de Cendrillon go up to €60-95 per adult. For snacks (ice cream, waffle, churros), allow €5 to €10. These ranges are approximate, and you can check the exact price on each restaurant’s menu.

03 Which iconic Disneyland Park restaurants are not to be missed?

For table-service restaurants, I recommend Auberge de Cendrillon in Fantasyland for character dining with the Princesses, Captain Jack’s in Adventureland for its pirate setting and Silver Spur Steakhouse in Frontierland for western-style grilled meat. Walt’s American Restaurant on Main Street is also one of the essentials. Plaza Gardens on Main Street is an iconic spot for its character buffet, but it is currently closed for a long refurbishment, expected to last until 2027. For quick service, Casey’s Corner and its hot dogs on Main Street are part of the Disney experience, as is Café Hyperion in Discoveryland. Book your tables several weeks ahead, as they go fast.

04 Where can you eat cheaply in the Disneyland Paris parks?

To keep costs down, go for the quick-service counters rated €. Casey’s Corner serves hot dogs on Main Street, Café Hyperion does burgers and nuggets in Discoveryland, Colonel Hathi’s Outpost Restaurant serves pizza slices in Adventureland, and Cowboy Cookout Barbecue in Frontierland is still a good deal. Over at Disney Adventure World, Stark Factory and Super Diner remain affordable. Tip: Mobile Order (Click & Collect) in the app also lets you order at some counters without having to queue. And if you’re a bit peckish, a snack (waffle, churros, ice cream) for €5 to €10 does the job nicely.

05 Are there kids’ menus in the Disney restaurants?

Yes, almost all Disneyland Paris restaurants offer a child price (ages 3-11). In the all-you-can-eat buffets, children pay around half price: Agrabah Café at €25, Cape Cod at €25, La Cantina at €20. Classic table-service restaurants also have a children’s set menu with a suitable starter, main course and dessert. At the quick-service counters, you’ll find kids’ set meals with a drink and a dessert included. You can ask for a high chair when you book, using the "special request" field.

06 Where can you get an afternoon snack or a quick bite in the parks?

The parks are full of kiosks and snack stands for when you’re a bit peckish. For something sweet, there’s Cookie Kitchen on Main Street U.S.A., March Hare Refreshments in Fantasyland, waffle and churros stands just about everywhere, and roaming popcorn and ice cream sellers. For something savoury, the hot dogs at Casey’s Corner. Allow €5 to €10 per snack. Little tip: some stands sell reusable collectible popcorn buckets that make lovely souvenirs and give you refills at a reduced price all day.

07 How do you book a table at a Disneyland Paris restaurant?

You have four ways to book. The easiest is the official Disneyland Paris app ("Dining" section), from your Disney account. You can also call the booking line on +33 (0)1 60 30 40 50, use the official website via the Dining menu or book on site at City Hall, Studio Services or your Disney hotel’s concierge desk. Before you choose, I suggest downloading my free file by email, which brings together all the menus of the Disneyland Paris restaurants. It really helps you make up your mind.

08 How far in advance can you book a restaurant at Disneyland Paris?

It depends on how you’re visiting. If you’re staying in a Disney hotel, you can book up to 1 year ahead, as soon as your stay is confirmed: a real advantage for the most popular restaurants like the Auberge de Cendrillon or the character buffets. If you’re coming for the day, without a Disney hotel, you can book up to 2 months (60 days) ahead. You can book in the Disneyland Paris app, on the official website or by phone on +33 (0)1 60 30 40 50. My advice: book as soon as the window opens for character restaurants and for evenings at weekends or during French school holidays, otherwise the slots disappear fast.

09 Which restaurants need a reservation at Disneyland Paris?

Only table-service restaurants and buffets need a reservation. That includes iconic spots like Auberge de Cendrillon, Captain Jack’s, Silver Spur Steakhouse, Bistrot Chez Rémy, Plaza Gardens, Agrabah Café, Cape Cod, La Cantina and PYM Kitchen. Quick-service counters (Casey’s Corner, Café Hyperion, Stark Factory, etc.) and all the snack stands are open to walk-ins, with no reservation. For character dining restaurants and the most popular buffets, I really recommend booking as soon as your booking window opens.

10 Can you still get a table on the day without booking?

Yes, it’s possible but not guaranteed. Some restaurants run a "walk-in queue" depending on the tables freed up during the day. Go to the restaurant’s reception desk and ask if there’s any room left. The mobile app also shows slots that open up in real time (last-minute cancellations), and I check it regularly when I’m after a last-minute table. Otherwise, fall back on the quick-service counters and snack stands, which never need a booking. Tip: eating lunch at an off-peak time (before 12:00 or after 14:00) greatly improves your chances of finding a table without booking.

11 How do I cancel a Disneyland Paris restaurant booking?

You can cancel easily in the official Disneyland Paris mobile app. Go to "Account > My table reservations", select the booking and confirm the cancellation. You can also cancel by phone on +33 (0)1 60 30 40 50. Remember to cancel as soon as you know you won’t make it: it frees up a table for other visitors and is a nice thing to do. Important: you can’t change the time or the number of diners directly in the app. If you need to change it, you have two options: cancel and make a new booking (if slots are still available), or call the reservations centre on +33 (0)1 60 30 40 50.

12 Can you ask for a high chair or a birthday cake, or mention a meal plan, when booking?

Yes, when you book (app, phone or website), there’s a "Special request" field where you can make several requests. You can mention a high chair for a baby, a birthday cake (at an extra cost) or a food intolerance or allergy. You can also say that you want to use your half-board plan. For the birthday cake, I’d advise mentioning it as soon as you book to be sure one is available. If you didn’t, you can also ask directly when you arrive at the restaurant, and they’ll try to sort something out depending on what they have in stock that day.

13 Which restaurants offer character dining at Disneyland Paris?

Five restaurants offer character dining at Disneyland Paris. In Disneyland Park, there’s Plaza Gardens Restaurant on Main Street (all-you-can-eat buffet with Mickey, Minnie and Donald, currently closed for refurbishment until 2027) and Auberge de Cendrillon in Fantasyland (table service with the Princesses). Since March 2026, Regal View Restaurant & Lounge has been open in Disney Adventure World with a Princess buffet. At the hotels, Royal Banquet and La Table de Lumière at the Disneyland Hotel also offer character dining: see the Hotels FAQ section for details.

14 Which characters can you meet at the Auberge de Cendrillon and at Plaza Gardens?

At the Auberge de Cendrillon (Fantasyland), you meet the Disney Princesses on rotation: Cinderella of course, but also Ariel, Aurora, Snow White, Merida, Rapunzel and Tiana. They aren’t all there at the same meal, and the line-up changes from day to day. At the Plaza Gardens Restaurant on Main Street, you’ll see Mickey, Minnie, Donald, Goofy, Pluto, Winnie the Pooh and other friends, with a more relaxed all-you-can-eat buffet format (watch out, the restaurant is currently closed for refurbishment until 2027). In both cases, the characters go from table to table to sign autograph books and pose for photos.

15 How much does a character meal cost and how do you book one?

Character meals cost between €50 and €120 per adult, depending on the restaurant. Plaza Gardens is around €50-80 (closed for refurbishment until 2027), the Auberge de Cendrillon between €60 and €95, and the Regal View Restaurant is in the same range. At the hotels, the Royal Banquet costs around €100 per adult and La Table de Lumière €120. These prices come from the official Disneyland Paris website and may change. In particular, they’re higher during special events such as Christmas Eve or New Year’s Eve. To book, use the official Disneyland Paris app, the Disneyland Paris website or call +33 1 60 30 40 50.

16 What is Disneyland Paris half board and who can get it?

Disneyland Paris half board is a prepaid meal plan that includes the buffet breakfast at your Disney hotel plus one or more meals at a participating restaurant. It is only for guests staying at an official Disney hotel: you can’t buy it if you are visiting for the day. There are actually four plans: Standard, Plus, Extra Plus and Premium, each with a different range of restaurants and a different price. Extra Plus is in fact full board (two meals a day) rather than just half board. The main benefit: you budget for food in advance and enjoy your stay with no surprises when the bill arrives. For arrivals from 1 April 2027, Disney is replacing these four plans with Essentiel, Extra, Signature and Royal. I explain what changes in my guide to meal plans.

17 Is half board worth it?

It depends on how you like to eat. Half board is worth it if you plan on full meals (starter, main course, dessert) in table-service restaurants or buffets, which cost more than quick-service counters. If you mainly plan to eat fast food or use Click & Collect, the plan can cost more than paying as you go. My advice: before you sign up, download the free file with the full menus of every Disneyland Paris restaurant and compare the prices with your half-board price. Watch out too: any meals you haven’t used are lost when you check out of the hotel.

18 How does Mobile Order (Click & Collect) work for Disney restaurants, and which ones take part?

Mobile Order (Click & Collect) lets you pre-order your meal in the official Disneyland Paris mobile app and pick it up at the time you choose, without queuing. Log in to the app, choose the restaurant and the time slot, select your dishes, pay online (the annual pass code can be applied) and get your voucher by email. The 8 participating restaurants are: Au Chalet de la Marionnette (Fantasyland), Café Hyperion (Discoveryland), Casa de Coco (Frontierland), Casey’s Corner (Main Street), Cowboy Cookout Barbecue (Frontierland), Hakuna Matata (Adventureland), Last Chance Cafe (Frontierland) and The Hollywood Gardens Restaurant (World Premiere at Disney Adventure World). The service is free, but orders are for the same day only.

19 Which Disney Village restaurants can you eat at without a park ticket?

Disney Village is free to enter, so you don’t need a park ticket to eat there. You’ll find around fifteen restaurants. For table service: Rosalie and Petite Rosalie (French brasserie), The Steakhouse (Chicago-style grilled meats) and The Royal Pub (British food). For a lively meal: Billy Bob’s Country Western Saloon and La Grange at Billy Bob’s (Tex-Mex buffets). Sports Bar for a relaxed vibe and Rainforest Café for its themed jungle setting. For quick service: McDonald’s, Earl of Sandwich, Five Guys, Starbucks Coffee and Vapiano round off the choice. Two places aren’t available at the moment. Annette’s Diner has been closed for refurbishment since January 2026 (reopening expected around 2027). The Italian restaurant Casa Giulia, on the site of the former Planet Hollywood, will open in late 2026. Book ahead for Rosalie and The Steakhouse, especially in the evening.

20 Are there vegetarian and vegan options in the Disneyland Paris restaurants?

Yes, more and more Disneyland Paris restaurants offer vegetarian and vegan options. The Lucky Nugget Saloon in Frontierland serves a full vegan set menu, and Toad Hall Restaurant in Fantasyland has really nice breaded plant-based crispy bites. Most other table-service restaurants and buffets have at least one vegetarian dish on the menu. Simpler buffets such as Agrabah Café or Cape Cod also offer meat-free alternatives. To check the details, download my free file by email with all the Disneyland Paris restaurant menus: that way you can spot the veggie options before your visit.

21 Which new restaurants are opening at Disneyland Paris in 2026?

2026 brings several openings at Disneyland Paris. The big event of the year is without doubt Regal View Restaurant & Lounge, which opened in March 2026 on Adventure Way in Disney Adventure World: a character dining buffet with the Disney Princesses, in the same spirit as Auberge de Cendrillon but as an all-you-can-eat buffet. Also worth watching: Chez Toulouse, Chez Berlioz and Chez Marie, three new venues announced around the Aristocats. Book as soon as slots open (up to 1 year ahead for Disney hotel guests), as these new restaurants fill up fast.

22 Do Disneyland Paris restaurants cater for halal, kosher or allergen-free diets?

Yes. Halal dishes and kosher meals can be provided on request in table-service and buffet restaurants. For allergies, you can ask in every restaurant for the full list of allergens in each dish, and a selection of dishes free from the major allergens is available on site. Every restaurant also offers at least one vegetarian or vegan option.

23 What happens if I don’t use all the meals in my plan?

If you haven’t used all the meals included in your plan by the end of your stay, the remaining meals are lost. They aren’t refunded.

24 Can meal plans be combined with annual pass or shareholder discounts?

No, Disneyland Paris meal plans aren’t eligible for annual pass discounts or shareholder discounts. If you have a half-board plan included in your hotel stay, it works independently of any discount scheme.

25 Can you book a meal plan for only some of the people in the room?

When booking online, you can’t book a meal plan for only some of the people in the room. For this kind of request, you need to contact Disneyland Paris directly by phone.

26 What is the difference between the Standard, Plus, Extra Plus and Premium meal plans?

These are the four current options, for arrivals up to 31 March 2027, and which one you get depends on your hotel. The Standard option covers the Davy Crockett Ranch and the Santa Fe. The Plus option covers the Cheyenne, the Sequoia Lodge, the Newport Bay Club and the New York - The Art of Marvel. Both give access to a selection of restaurants, which gets wider as you move up the range. Extra Plus (all hotels except the Disneyland Hotel, on full board) adds one character meal per stay. It also includes an afternoon snack and a drink per night. Premium (Disneyland Hotel only) includes character meals, as many as your vouchers allow. For arrivals from 1 April 2027, these options are replaced by Essentiel, Extra, Signature and Royal.

27 What changes for the meal plans from April 2027?

For arrivals from 1 April 2027, a new range replaces half board and full board. You choose 1 or 2 meals per night, then an option. At every hotel except the Disneyland Hotel, you can choose freely between Essential, Extra and Signature. If you’re staying at the Disneyland Hotel, you choose between Signature and Royal. Only the Royal option includes character lunches and dinners. Breakfast is no longer included in the plan and isn’t compulsory. Allow from €32 to €170 per adult per night, without breakfast.

28 Do children under 3 need a meal plan?

No. Children under 3 don’t have to be booked on a half-board or full-board plan: they eat for free with their parents who have a meal plan. The child price only applies to children aged 3 to 11 inclusive.

29 Is Mobile Order (Click & Collect) at Disneyland Paris free?

Yes, Click & Collect is completely free for all park visitors. You order in advance in the app and only pay for your meal, with no extra charge for the service. It’s a good way to save time and skip the queue at mealtimes.

30 What happens if I’m late for my reservation?

There’s usually a grace period of about 15 minutes. After that, your table can be given to other guests and the reservation lost. If you’re running late, let the restaurant know as soon as possible.
