At a glance
On the corner of Market Street, at number 220, Main Street Motors is Main Street U.S.A.’s clothing shop for grown-ups. The store is designed as a car garage like the ones found in mid-sized American towns in the early twentieth century. No other Disney park anywhere has this theme.
The facade has all the classic touches: a wheel-shaped sign with the slogan "The Finest in Motorcars - Ask the Man who owns one", a 1916 Esso gas pump outside, an "Auto Service" door at number 210, and an advertising awning reading "Dependable - All New - Affordable".
Inside, you’ll see a black and white checkered tile floor, a wooden counter, a ceiling with wheel motifs, and lots of original pieces: gas cans, license plates, headlights, driving goggles, and enamel ads, including a Coca-Cola poster. A detail to look for: the clock hung backward behind the counter, which you can only read in the reflection of a mirror or a window.
In the window, the 1911 Oakland model, last survivor of the early car museum, is now staged with Cruella de Vil, a nod to 101 Dalmatians.
The racks cover adult clothing, Disney jerseys, bags and luggage, and accessories: caps, beanies, shoes, watches, and wallets.
Cruella and her Dalmatians in front of the 1911 Oakland. The window still holds the original 1911 Oakland Model 33, the last survivor of the car museum dreamed up in 1992. It’s staged with Cruella de Vil as a car-crazy driver, plus a few Dalmatians as a nod to the Disney classic. A 1916 gas pump completes the scene near the garage entrance.
What you’ll find
History
Main Street Motors opened on April 12, 1992, as a car museum that doubled as a store: three vintage vehicles from the Neiman Marcus catalog were for sale there (the 1906 Reliable Dayton High Wheeler, the 1908 E.M.F. Gentleman’s Roadster, and the 1911 Oakland model), along with a 1911 Excelsior Auto-cycle motorcycle. A photo stand let guests pose next to the vehicles. The shop switched to sporting goods in 1993, then moved on to adult clothing. Of the original display, only the 1911 Oakland remains in the window.
Theme & world
Who it’s made for
Pros and cons
The highlights
- 1911 Oakland model car kept in the window
- 1916 Esso gas pump on view outside
- A theme found only at Disneyland Paris, in no other Disney park
- Wide selection of clothing and Disney jerseys
The downsides
- No more photo stand like the one from opening day
- Two cars and the motorcycle from the original lineup are no longer there
- Not much shopping space indoors
My verdict
My favorite stop for grown-up fashion. This 1900-style garage is filled with real antiques, from the 1916 gas pump to the backward clock behind the counter that only makes sense when you see it reflected.
Plus, the window display of Cruella de Vil posing with the 1911 Oakland ranks among my favorite little nods on Main Street. You’ll often find more original jerseys and caps here than in the large all-purpose shops.
Julie’s tip
Best time to go
Go at park opening or in mid-afternoon, when the parade isn’t passing by, so you can browse the vintage objects at your own pace.

Your questions about this shop
01 Where can you buy Disney merchandise at Disneyland Paris?
There are four main places to shop: Disneyland Park (Main Street U.S.A. above all, plus every land), Disney Adventure World, Disney Village (open to everyone, no park ticket required), and, if you book an official Disney hotel, the shop inside your hotel. My dedicated article walks you through the main shops.
02 Is there a way to shop without lugging bags around all day?
Yes. The Shopping Service lets you have your purchases sent to a pickup point, so you can collect them later at the same shop, at another shop on your way out of the park, or even at your Disney hotel’s shop. The service is free in most shops (with a minimum purchase). Just ask the cast member at checkout.
03 What are the shop hours?
Shops inside the parks roughly follow park hours, often opening a little earlier on Main Street U.S.A. and closing a little later after the nighttime show. Disney Village shops have their own hours, usually running later into the evening. You’ll find the exact hours in the Disneyland Paris app.
04 Can you buy Disneyland Paris merchandise online?
There’s no official Disneyland Paris online store. To shop from home, you can use the Disney Store website (formerly shopDisney), which sells official Disney merchandise and sometimes a few items specific to Disneyland Paris. At the resort itself, you buy everything directly in the shops.
