At a glance
In Discoveryland, right where the Star Tours ride lets you out, you’ll find Star Traders, the Star Wars shop of Disneyland Park.
From the outside, the building looks like a spaceship inspired by the saga, and the interior keeps the story going with a futuristic cabin: metal fixtures, blue and red neon lights, bulkheads, and glowing panels. A detail to look for: a Donald figure perched on a star, left over from the shop’s earlier general Disney theme.
Two exclusive workshops made its name: the Droid Factory, where you build your own mini droid from the parts you pick, and a lightsaber customization counter. A LEGO Star Wars area stocked with sets from the saga sits at the back of the shop.
The rest of the selection covers clothing and accessories for adults and kids, T-shirts, sweatshirts, costumes, collector figurines (Darth Vader, Kylo Ren, Grogu, the Mandalorians, BB-8, and R2-D2), Grogu plush toys (Baby Yoda), helmets, daggers, toys, pins, home goods, food and drinks, plus Disney PhotoPass+ service.
Droid Factory and a custom lightsaber workshop. The shop offers two exclusive workshops: the Droid Factory, where you put together your own mini droid from dozens of parts, and a counter where you can customize a lightsaber to your liking. A LEGO Star Wars corner stocked with sets from the saga completes the visit, all in a setting that recreates the inside of a spaceship.
What you’ll find
History
Star Traders started out as a general Disney shop, and the Donald figure perched on a star in the decor is still there to prove it. The shift toward Star Wars picked up when the Jedi Training Academy arrived at Videopolis, and the shop later became dedicated entirely to the saga.
Theme & world
Who it’s made for
Pros and cons
The highlights
- Largest Star Wars shop in Disneyland Park
- Droid Factory to build your own mini droid
- Lightsaber customization workshop
The downsides
- Big crowds as guests come off Star Tours
- Collector figurines and lightsabers are expensive
- Star Wars merchandise only
My verdict
The Star Wars shop worth a visit, even if you skip Star Tours. The theming goes all the way: you really feel like you’re stepping into a spaceship, neon lights and metal walls included.
And on the shelves, it’s about more than souvenirs: some pieces are real collector’s items (helmets, figurines, lightsabers you can customize). Fans rarely leave empty-handed.

Your questions about this shop
01 Where can you buy Disney merchandise at Disneyland Paris?
There are four main places to shop: Disneyland Park (Main Street U.S.A. above all, plus every land), Disney Adventure World, Disney Village (open to everyone, no park ticket required), and, if you book an official Disney hotel, the shop inside your hotel. My dedicated article walks you through the main shops.
02 Is there a way to shop without lugging bags around all day?
Yes. The Shopping Service lets you have your purchases sent to a pickup point, so you can collect them later at the same shop, at another shop on your way out of the park, or even at your Disney hotel’s shop. The service is free in most shops (with a minimum purchase). Just ask the cast member at checkout.
03 What are the shop hours?
Shops inside the parks roughly follow park hours, often opening a little earlier on Main Street U.S.A. and closing a little later after the nighttime show. Disney Village shops have their own hours, usually running later into the evening. You’ll find the exact hours in the Disneyland Paris app.
04 Can you buy Disneyland Paris merchandise online?
There’s no official Disneyland Paris online store. To shop from home, you can use the Disney Store website (formerly shopDisney), which sells official Disney merchandise and sometimes a few items specific to Disneyland Paris. At the resort itself, you buy everything directly in the shops.
05 Where can I buy a Star Wars lightsaber at Disneyland Paris?
Most lightsabers are sold at Star Traders, at the Star Tours exit in Discoveryland, but you’ll also find them at Disney Wonders and Mickey’s of Hollywood. The range goes from toy models for kids to more elaborate collector sabers. Good to know before your trip: there’s no workshop in Paris where you build your own saber or droid. Those experiences are only offered at the US parks.
