At a glance
The Rainforest Café store (officially the "Rainforest Café Shop") sits at the entrance to the restaurant of the same name, at the far end of Disney Village. It’s the French version of an American concept summed up by its motto, "A wild place to shop and eat" (in other words, a wild spot to buy things and grab a meal): a store built into an immersive restaurant.
The design borrows from the rainforest: thick greenery, giant mushrooms by the door, and an Audio-Animatronic tree named Tracy (or "Tracey Tree") that moves and talks to guests. There’s no themed storefront or historical period here. The store simply feels like a present-day Amazon jungle.
Instead of Disney franchises, the shelves showcase the Rainforest Café brand itself: plush exotic animals, figures of the chain’s mascots (Tuki the elephant, Nile the crocodile, Bamba the gorilla, Cha!Cha! the frog), apparel, American-style tees and caps, stationery, and little keepsakes.
"A wild place to shop and eat". This French version of the American concept, born in 1994 at the Mall of America, lives up to its official motto: a store built into an immersive restaurant. The space follows the look of a rainforest, with thick greenery and giant mushrooms by the door, carrying the jungle feel of the restaurant next door into the store so you shop under a lively canopy.
What you’ll find
History
Rainforest Café started in February 1994 at the Mall of America in Minnesota, and Houston-based Landry’s Restaurant Inc., in Texas, bought it in late 2000. The Disney Village location sticks to the original formula, with the store at the restaurant entrance. Both the store and the restaurant are set to close for good by the end of 2026, as part of the Disney Village makeover project.

Your questions about this shop
01 Where can you buy Disney merchandise at Disneyland Paris?
There are four main places to shop: Disneyland Park (Main Street U.S.A. above all, plus every land), Disney Adventure World, Disney Village (open to everyone, no park ticket required), and, if you book an official Disney hotel, the shop inside your hotel. My dedicated article walks you through the main shops.
02 Can you shop at Disney Village without a park ticket?
Yes. Disney Village is free to enter, with no ticket and no checkpoint. You’ll find several Disney stores there, including the big World of Disney store, along with partner brands. It’s the best option if you only want to shop without paying for park admission.
03 What are the shop hours?
Shops inside the parks roughly follow park hours, often opening a little earlier on Main Street U.S.A. and closing a little later after the nighttime show. Disney Village shops have their own hours, usually running later into the evening. You’ll find the exact hours in the Disneyland Paris app.
04 Can you buy Disneyland Paris merchandise online?
There’s no official Disneyland Paris online store. To shop from home, you can use the Disney Store website (formerly shopDisney), which sells official Disney merchandise and sometimes a few items specific to Disneyland Paris. At the resort itself, you buy everything directly in the shops.
