At a glance
You’ll find Les Trésors de Schéhérazade where Adventureland begins, within the Adventureland Bazaar. For now, its doors are closed, and a notice posted on the storefront explains it has "gone off in search of 1001 new stories."
The name refers to Scheherazade, the Persian queen who tells the tales in the One Thousand and One Nights. The interior design draws on the story of Sinbad the Sailor, from volume 6 of the Richard Burton translation published in 1885. A life-size wooden camel stands in the middle of the shop, under a ceiling studded with swords meant to represent the ones Sinbad won over his seven voyages.
The architecture brings together pointed arches, domes, mosaics, and geometric patterns typical of nineteenth-century Orientalist design. Before it closed, the selection had narrowed to the Disney Princesses line: dolls, dress-up outfits, tiaras, jewelry, figures, plush toys, and costumes.
What you’ll find
History
The shop opened in 1992 inside the Adventureland Bazaar, a covered complex that originally housed five stores: L’Échoppe d’Aladin, La Reine des Serpents, Le Chant des Tam-Tams, La Girafe Curieuse, and Les Trésors de Schéhérazade. In 1999, most of the Bazaar’s shops were turned into the Agrabah Café restaurant. Les Trésors de Schéhérazade stayed open next to La Girafe Curieuse. When the park opened, it sold Oriental rugs, shawls, Egyptian cotton dresses, Moroccan leather bags, and jewelry from the East, with a corner serving mint tea and pastries. Later, its focus shifted to the Disney Princesses. The original Eastern soundtrack was swapped for the movie’s score when Aladdin came out, then brought back shortly after the park’s 15th anniversary. The shop has been closed for several years, and no reopening has been announced.

Your questions about this shop
01 Where can you buy Disney merchandise at Disneyland Paris?
There are four main places to shop: Disneyland Park (Main Street U.S.A. above all, plus every land), Disney Adventure World, Disney Village (open to everyone, no park ticket required), and, if you book an official Disney hotel, the shop inside your hotel. My dedicated article walks you through the main shops.
02 Is there a way to shop without lugging bags around all day?
Yes. The Shopping Service lets you have your purchases sent to a pickup point, so you can collect them later at the same shop, at another shop on your way out of the park, or even at your Disney hotel’s shop. The service is free in most shops (with a minimum purchase). Just ask the cast member at checkout.
03 What are the shop hours?
Shops inside the parks roughly follow park hours, often opening a little earlier on Main Street U.S.A. and closing a little later after the nighttime show. Disney Village shops have their own hours, usually running later into the evening. You’ll find the exact hours in the Disneyland Paris app.
04 Can you buy Disneyland Paris merchandise online?
There’s no official Disneyland Paris online store. To shop from home, you can use the Disney Store website (formerly shopDisney), which sells official Disney merchandise and sometimes a few items specific to Disneyland Paris. At the resort itself, you buy everything directly in the shops.
