At a glance
Le Coffre du Capitaine is located in Adventureland, right at the exit of the Pirates of the Caribbean ride, and it extends the ride’s setting inside the fort’s group of buildings.
Here, the setting is the secret lair of a pirate captain from piracy’s golden age, sometime in the seventeenth or eighteenth century. Beams show overhead, lanterns dangle from above, and the room is crowded with ropes, fishing nets, barrels of rum, an hourglass, a sea chest, antique books, sea charts, and miniature galleons. The souvenirs are piled into a big wooden chest left open as a display. A bright macaw sitting on a railing and a pelican carved in wood, swinging from a rope, round it all off, a nod to the feathered companions pirates liked to keep close.
On the outside, look for the carved wooden treasure chest that serves as a sign, mounted against the stone tower of the fort. The other doorway is marked by an ornamental panel painted yellow.
Everything here is about pirates: costumes and dress-up outfits for kids and adults, toys, figures, statuettes, swords and hats, pin trading, clothing, plush toys, Disney ears, mugs, key chains, magnets, home goods, snacks, and drinks. The shop is also the pickup point for the "on-ride" photos taken during the ride, available as prints or as digital files you can add to Disney PhotoPass+.
A themed pirate captain’s hold. Set right at the exit of Pirates of the Caribbean, this shop is staged as the hideout of a buccaneer captain from the golden age of piracy: rum barrels, hanging lanterns, ropes, nautical charts, and model galleons fill the room. The design flows straight out of the ride, so the shop feels like an immersive final stretch of the journey.

Your questions about this shop
01 Where can you buy Disney merchandise at Disneyland Paris?
There are four main places to shop: Disneyland Park (Main Street U.S.A. above all, plus every land), Disney Adventure World, Disney Village (open to everyone, no park ticket required), and, if you book an official Disney hotel, the shop inside your hotel. My dedicated article walks you through the main shops.
02 Is there a way to shop without lugging bags around all day?
Yes. The Shopping Service lets you have your purchases sent to a pickup point, so you can collect them later at the same shop, at another shop on your way out of the park, or even at your Disney hotel’s shop. The service is free in most shops (with a minimum purchase). Just ask the cast member at checkout.
03 What are the shop hours?
Shops inside the parks roughly follow park hours, often opening a little earlier on Main Street U.S.A. and closing a little later after the nighttime show. Disney Village shops have their own hours, usually running later into the evening. You’ll find the exact hours in the Disneyland Paris app.
04 Can you buy Disneyland Paris merchandise online?
There’s no official Disneyland Paris online store. To shop from home, you can use the Disney Store website (formerly shopDisney), which sells official Disney merchandise and sometimes a few items specific to Disneyland Paris. At the resort itself, you buy everything directly in the shops.
