Disneyland Pass explained: blockout dates, bookings and value

I’ve been a Disneyland Paris annual passholder since March 2016 and have followed every change to the passes, right up to today’s Disneyland Pass range. The system has changed a lot and a pass no longer pays for itself automatically. In this FAQ I’ve gathered all my answers to help you make sense of it all: choosing your tier (Bronze One, Bronze Max, Silver or Gold), the restrictive compulsory bookings and what the shop and restaurant discounts are really worth. Here are the facts to decide whether an annual pass really suits the way you visit.

01 What is the Disneyland Pass?

The Disneyland Pass is Disneyland Paris’s current annual pass programme, launched on 19 July 2023. It replaced the old Infinity, Magic Plus, Magic Flex and Discovery passes. On 12 February 2026, a new Bronze One tier joined the range, which now has four passes: Bronze One, Bronze Max, Silver and Gold. Each tier gives a different number of access days and includes its own perks in the parks.

02 What are the 2026 Disneyland Pass prices?

Here are the prices for 2026. Bronze One: €289. Bronze Max: €399. Silver: €569. Gold: €799. These prices are per person for one year’s validity, and you can pay upfront or in monthly instalments.

03 How many access days does each Disneyland Pass give?

The number of access days depends on your pass. Bronze One: 170 days. Bronze Max: 210 days. Silver: 300 days. Gold: 365 days (unlimited). To check which days are open to your pass, you can see the official availability calendar in your Disneyland Paris personal account and on my blog.

04 Is the Disneyland Pass worth it?

It all depends on how often you visit. Here’s the simple way to work it out: take the average price of a dated ticket for the dates you plan to come, multiply it by the number of visits you expect over the year, and compare it with the price of the annual pass. The pass becomes worth it as soon as you plan several visits, especially in peak season when dated tickets are at their most expensive. Don’t forget to add the indirect savings: parking included, shop and restaurant discounts (with Silver and Gold), PhotoPass included (with Gold) and access to offers reserved for annual pass holders on Disney hotels or Disney evening events and Pop-Up Surprises.

05 What discounts do Disneyland Pass holders get?

The discounts depend on your pass. With the Bronze One and Bronze Max passes, you don’t get any discount in shops or restaurants. With the Silver pass, you get -10% in the shops and restaurants of the parks and Disney Village and -10% on PhotoPass. With the Gold pass, it’s -15% in shops and restaurants, PhotoPass is included free of charge and you get Extra Magic Time. For stays in Disney hotels, occasional discounts are offered, which vary with the time of year and don’t depend on your type of pass. The up-to-date details are in your Disneyland Paris personal account and in the Disneyland Pass section of my blog.

06 How do you buy a Disneyland Pass?

There are two main ways. Online, on the official website disneylandparis.com, in the annual pass section: you choose your pass, pay, and then just need to go to the ticket desks to collect your physical card with photo (if you want the physical card). On site, at the annual pass desks located before the park entrances, usually under the Disneyland Hotel (except during refurbishment). You don’t need an entry ticket to get there: you can come just to sign up.

07 Can you pay for your annual pass in monthly instalments?

Yes. All four passes can be paid monthly: a first deposit (with a set minimum amount and no maximum), then 11 monthly instalments taken each month. You need your bank details (RIB) when you sign up. The details of the amounts are on my Disneyland Pass page.

08 Can I deduct the price of my entry ticket when buying an annual pass?

Yes. If you’ve bought an entry ticket, you can deduct its value from the price of your annual pass, on the day of your visit or within the following 30 days. Go to the annual pass desks with your ticket (paper or mobile) and your ID. This also works for works council tickets (CE/CSE, a French employee perk scheme).

09 How do I renew my Disneyland Pass?

You renew at the annual pass desks, located under the Disneyland Hotel (open every day 8:30-17:00). It’s the only place to renew and get the 15% discount, within the window of 30 days before or after the expiry date. You can’t renew online: you can only buy a new pass at full price, without the renewal offer.

10 Do you need to book your visit date with a Disneyland Pass?

Yes, booking is compulsory for all Disneyland Pass tiers, as it is for undated tickets (Billet Liberté in French). The pass gives you the right to enter, but you must register each visit date in advance, even on a day when the park looks quiet. Without a registered date, you will be refused entry. You book in your Disneyland Paris personal account or in the mobile app.

11 Is parking included with the Disneyland Pass?

Yes. Visitor parking is included with all four passes: Bronze One, Bronze Max, Silver and Gold. You simply show your pass at the car park entrance. A bit of history: VIP parking, once included with the old Infinity pass, stopped being a pass perk with the July 2023 overhaul (the Infinity range itself no longer exists).

12 Can I cancel my Disneyland Pass after buying it?

The Disneyland Pass doesn’t come with the usual right to cancel: purchases of leisure services are excluded by default. Once bought, it generally can’t be cancelled or refunded, even if unused. For monthly payment, cancellation may be considered for a legitimate reason (death, moving abroad, force majeure with supporting documents), to be discussed directly with the finance department.

13 Which perks of the old passes have been removed?

Several long-standing perks disappeared with the July 2023 overhaul. Here are the ones I miss the most: free luggage storage at the park entrance, free pushchair and wheelchair hire, reserved areas for Disney Stars on Parade and the night-time shows, Privilege Tickets (free invitations for family and friends), the dedicated annual pass entrance, the separate Infinity car park and access to the hotel SWIMMING POOLS.

14 Do you need to book a date for a child under 3?

No. Under-3s don’t need a ticket, so there’s no booking to make for them. You only book for the family members who have a pass or a ticket.

15 Where does the Disneyland Pass show on your phone?

Your digital pass lives in the Disneyland Paris app, linked to your Disney account. You’ll find it in the Account tab, under My Annual Passes, and on the app’s home screen. The pass page holds the QR Code to show at the entrance. You need to be logged in to your account for it to appear.

16 Does the digital pass also work for parking and discounts?

Yes. The same QR Code does several jobs: getting into the parks at the turnstiles, getting your discounts at the tills in shops and restaurants and, depending on your pass, getting into the car park. At the car park, you show your QR Code to a Cast Member at the booth or at an automatic barrier.

17 Who can take advantage of these offers?

Only members with an active annual pass. Without a valid pass, you can’t access these discounted prices.

18 Can you still get a physical pass card?

Yes. The physical card is still free: you just need to ask for it at the ticket desks. The digital pass is enough to get in and use your discounts, but the card is a handy optional extra, and a good backup if your phone lets you down.

19 Is a screenshot of the QR Code enough to get in?

No, a screenshot doesn’t work. The QR Code disappears as soon as you try to capture it: it’s a security feature. You need to be logged in to your account and show the QR Code live in the app. So make sure you have your phone, the app up to date and an internet connection when you go through the turnstile.

20 Can you have the pass on two phones?

Yes. As the pass is linked to your Disney account, you can show it on two phones by logging in to the same account (for example yours and your partner’s). Watch out: this doesn’t let two people in. The pass is still in one person’s name only.

21 How do I get my pass back when I change phone?

Just log back in to your Disney account in the app on your new phone. There’s nothing to relink: your pass is saved in your account, not on the device. So you never lose it when you change phone.

22 Since when has the Disneyland Pass been available in digital form?

The digital pass has been around since 19 July 2023, with the Disneyland Pass range. It also works for the older ranges (Discovery, Magic Flex, Magic Plus, Infinity), which show up the same way in the app.

23 How is it different from the Halloween party, New Year’s Eve or 14 July?

The Disneyland Pass Night is reserved for pass holders, in a park closed to the public. The Halloween party, the New Year’s Eve party on 31 December and 14 July are public evening events. They’re open to everyone with a dated ticket for that day. Some Pass Nights have a Christmas theme, but they’re still reserved for pass holders.

24 Do you need a Disneyland Pass to go to a Disneyland Pass Night?

Yes. These nights are reserved for holders of an active, valid Disneyland Pass, both when you sign up and on the night itself. Without an active pass, you can’t sign up.

25 Can you bring someone with you to a Disneyland Pass Night?

Yes. Depending on the night, you can buy tickets for the people with you, up to two depending on the night. These companion tickets aren’t free and are bought online at the same time as you sign up.

26 What time do you collect your wristband and get into the night?

You collect your wristband on the day, at dedicated ticket desks, usually from 12:00. Early entry to the night is then usually possible from 18:30. I recommend collecting your wristband early to avoid the end-of-day crowds.

27 What is a Pop-Up Surprise at Disneyland Paris?

A Pop-Up Surprise is a meet and greet with one or more rare or never-before-seen Disney characters that you don’t come across in the park during the day. It’s free, but only for Disneyland Pass members, and by booking only.

28 Which Disney hotels are included?

All Disney hotels are included except the Disneyland Hotel. Club rooms are included in the offer.

29 How much of a discount can you get?

The discount varies with the offers and demand, so it isn’t a guaranteed rate. In the best case I’ve seen, it reached around 60% off (€260 instead of €625 at the Disney Newport Bay Club for the night of 10 August 2024).

30 Are park tickets included?

No. The offer only covers the accommodation. To get into the park, you need a valid ticket or pass, and you need to book your visit dates.

31 Does a Friends Ticket give access to both parks and World of Frozen?

Yes. The Friends Ticket (1-day 2-park) gives access to Disneyland Park and Disney Adventure World (including World of Frozen).

32 Can I enjoy Extra Magic Time with a Friends Ticket?

Not by default. There are two exceptions: your guest gets access if they’re staying in an official Disney hotel, and if you’re a Gold holder, you keep your Extra Magic Time for yourself, not for your guests.

33 When are the next Friends Ticket offers coming out?

Two windows come round each year: one from January to March and a longer one in the warmer months, which can run from June to October. These are only a guide: no date is guaranteed until Disneyland Paris has officially announced a new offer.

34 What was the Infinity pass at Disneyland Paris?

The Infinity was the top pass in the Magic range (2017-2023): unlimited access, VIP parking and Privilege Tickets to invite family and friends. It was replaced by the Gold pass in the current range.

35 Can you book your date from the Disneyland Paris app?

No, dates are booked on the Disneyland Paris website, or in the app (which opens the same tool). I recommend going straight to your online booking area, with the member account your pass is linked to.

36 Do these old passes still exist?

No. The Dream range and then the Magic range were replaced by the current range, the Disneyland Pass. You’ll find all the details in the complete guide to the Disneyland Pass.

37 Where and how do you book your visit date with an annual pass (Disneyland Pass)?

With an annual pass, booking your visit date is compulsory. You do it online, in your Disneyland Paris personal account, with your pass linked to your Disney account (pass booking calendar). Click "Register a ticket or pass", choose your pass, then select an available date (in green) in the calendar. I recommend booking as soon as you know your dates, as the number of places per day is limited and the park is sometimes fully booked.

38 How do you cancel a visit date you’ve already booked?

You can cancel at any time until 10:00 on the morning of your visit, directly in your Disneyland Paris booking area. Cancelling frees up the slot and doesn’t use up a day: your pass stays valid as normal. There’s no "change" button, so to change a date you cancel and then rebook straight away. Watch out: if you cancel after 10:00 or simply don’t turn up without cancelling, Disneyland Paris may temporarily suspend your access to bookings, especially if it happens repeatedly.

39 Is there a Disneyland Pass Night coming up soon?

The easiest way to find out is to check my guide to Disneyland Pass Nights. I add each night as soon as it’s announced, with its date, its price and when tickets go on sale. There are several nights a year, with no calendar guaranteed in advance. Disneyland Paris mainly reveals each new night and its date on its social media. Booking is done from "My Disneyland Pass" ("Special Events" tab): be ready as soon as tickets go on sale, as places go fast.

40 Does the Disneyland Pass give a discount on Disney hotel nights?

Yes, the Disneyland Pass gives you discounts on stays and nights in Disney hotels, which vary depending on your tier and the time of year. The current offers are shown in this article.

41 How do you stop or not renew your Disneyland Pass?

The Disneyland Pass doesn’t renew automatically: it expires on its end date. So to stop it, you simply don’t renew it. There’s nothing to cancel. If you chose to pay in monthly instalments, these carry on until the end of your year’s commitment.

42 Can you pay for the Disneyland Pass in instalments?

Yes. All the passes can be paid in monthly instalments, as well as in full upfront. You pay a first amount on the day you buy, then the rest is taken each month over the year. Paying monthly means committing for the length of the pass: if a payment is refused, your access may be suspended until it’s settled. The details of the instalments are shown when you buy, in your Disneyland Paris account.

43 Do the people with me get the shop and restaurant discount with my pass?

Yes, within a limit. The Silver or Gold pass discount applies to your table or your purchase for a limited number of people accompanying the pass holder, when you show the QR Code at the till. The up-to-date details are in your Disneyland Paris account. Remember to show your pass before you pay.

44 How do you sign up for a Disneyland Pass Night?

You sign up from "My Disneyland Pass" ("Friends Tickets and Special Events" section, "Special Events" tab), as soon as tickets go on sale. Places are in high demand and go fast: I recommend booking as soon as sales open.

45 Does a single booking give access to both parks?

It depends on your ticket or pass. With a 2-park ticket or pass (Bronze Max, Silver, Gold or a dated or undated 2-park ticket), a single booked date gets you into both parks, Disneyland Park and Disney Adventure World, on the same day, and you can move freely between them. With the Bronze One pass or a 1-park ticket, access is limited to one park per day. One small exception, whatever your ticket: during certain special events (private evenings, press events), access to one of the two parks may be restricted.

46 Can you lend your digital pass to someone else?

No. The Disneyland Pass is strictly personal and non-transferable (terms and conditions, art. 3.1). The QR Code is linked to your name, and you may be asked for ID each time you use it. Showing it on someone else’s phone doesn’t make it shareable: entry is refused if the pass isn’t in the name of the person presenting it.

47 What happens if my phone battery is dead at the entrance?

It’s up to you to have enough battery to show your pass at the turnstile. If your phone is flat, you can hire a power bank at Disney Village. My tip: slip a portable charger into your bag before the day. It’s the simplest way to avoid getting stuck.

48 My QR Code is blank or has disappeared, what should I do?

Don’t worry, your pass isn’t lost: it’s just a display glitch. Force-close the app, then reopen it. Check that you’re logged in to the right account and that your pass appears under My Annual Passes (if not, use Add Ticket or Stay to link it). Also remember to update the app and check your internet connection before you reach the turnstile.

49 Are Pop-Up Surprises free?

Yes. The meet and greet is free: it’s a perk included in the Disneyland Pass at no extra cost. However, it’s only open to pass members and only by booking.

50 Who can take part in Pop-Up Surprises?

Disneyland Pass holders (and holders of the former annual passes). You can bring up to 3 companions, who must also be Disneyland Pass members. Each participant also needs their own park entry booking for the day.

51 How do you book a Pop-Up Surprise?

You book online on the pass’s official platform, pass-annuel.disneylandparis.com. You choose your date and your time slot (in quarter-hour slots, usually from 10:00 to 16:45). It’s 1 booking per pass, plus up to 3 companions who are also pass members.

52 How can you hear about the next Pop-Up Surprises?

Each edition is announced first on Disneyland Paris’s social media, then by email to members. There’s no announcement in the app. As places go fast, keep an eye on the official accounts and your inbox.

53 Where do Pop-Up Surprises take place?

At the Disneyland Pass Corner (the former Annual Passport office), in Disneyland Park, between Discoveryland and Fantasyland, opposite the castle’s theatre stage.

54 Which characters have appeared at Pop-Up Surprises so far?

Since September 2023, several editions have taken place, featuring Tinker Bell, the Aristocats kittens, Clarice, Terk, Miguel Rivera, Mickey or Minnie as captain, and Carl Fredricksen or Russell. The table in the article sums up the various editions and their extra characters.

55 What is a Disneyland Pass hotel offer?

It’s a promotion reserved for Disneyland Pass members: a discounted price on room-only nights (accommodation only) in Disney hotels, at certain times of the year.

56 How do you book a Disneyland Pass hotel offer?

From the Disneyland Paris app or the official website, log in, open the "My Disneyland Pass" tab, then "Disney Hotels". You can book up to the day before arrival, subject to availability.

57 Can you book a Disney hotel outside the offer periods?

Yes. You can book a room-only stay at a Disney hotel all year round at the normal price, from your account, using the same "My Disneyland Pass" then "Disney Hotels" route.

58 What is a Friends Ticket at Disneyland Paris?

A Friends Ticket is a discounted 1-day 2-park ticket that holders of an active Disneyland Pass can buy for their friends and family. It’s an occasional offer, available a few times a year and in limited numbers.

59 Who can buy Friends Tickets?

Members who hold a permanent, currently valid adult pass. All valid adult tiers have access to the offer, subject to availability.

60 How much does a Disneyland Paris Friends Ticket cost?

The price varies with your visit date and the current offer, shown by a colour code in the app’s calendar. Check the cards for the current offer on this page. A Friends Ticket is always cheaper than the dated ticket sold to the general public.

61 Do I need to be there with my friends for them to get in?

No. You get the tickets’ QR codes from your Disney account and send them to your guests, who enter the parks without you.

62 Can I buy a Friends Ticket on the day at the entrance?

No. Friends Tickets are no longer sold at the park entrance. You can only buy them online, in the app or on the official website.

63 How do you book a Friends Ticket?

Log in to your Disney account in the app or on the official website, then go to "My Account", then "My Disneyland Pass", and open the "Friends Tickets" section. Choose the 1-day 2-park ticket, your date and the number of companions, enter their names and pay.

64 How many Friends Tickets can I buy?

Up to 5 tickets per day, per transaction and per pass, with a limit of 20 tickets per pass for the duration of the offer. Both limits apply at the same time.

65 Can Friends Tickets be changed or refunded?

No. Friends Tickets are in the guest’s name: you enter each companion’s first name and surname when you buy. They can’t be changed or refunded.

66 Can you resell a Friends Ticket?

No. They’re strictly for personal, non-commercial use. Reselling one can lead to your Disneyland Pass being suspended.

67 How much did a Privilege Ticket (former offer) cost?

At the time, the price depended on your pass: €47 in off-peak season and €66 in peak season for a Magic Plus, €42 and €61 for an Infinity. These prices no longer apply, as the offer no longer exists.

68 What’s the difference between the Privilege Ticket and Friends Tickets?

The former Privilege Ticket was reserved for Magic Plus and Infinity passes and required the holder to be there at the ticket desk. Friends Tickets are for today’s adult tiers, are booked entirely online and don’t require you to be there: your guests get in with their QR code.

69 What were the old Disneyland Paris annual passes?

Before the current range, there was the Dream range (Francilien, Fantasy and Dream), then the Magic range (Discovery, Magic Flex, Magic Plus and Infinity). Several other ranges have existed since 1992, but they’re less well documented.

70 Is parking free with the Disneyland Pass?

Yes. Visitor parking is included with every Disneyland Pass, whatever the tier (Bronze One, Bronze Max, Silver, Gold), for a car or a motorbike. You show your pass (QR Code) at the car park booth or automatic barrier, without paying anything, except on your tier’s blockout days. Motorhomes use a separate car park.

71 Can you deduct a ticket you’ve already bought from the price of the Disneyland Pass?

Yes. If you already have a valid dated ticket, you can deduct its value when you buy a Disneyland Pass, on the day of your visit. Go to the annual pass desks at the entrance to Disneyland Park with your ticket: the ticket price is taken off the pass you choose.

72 Can you still book a Privilege Ticket at Disneyland Paris?

No. The Privilege Ticket was withdrawn with the old pass range. It has been replaced by Friends Tickets, reserved for Disneyland Pass holders.

73 When can I renew my Disneyland Pass?

The renewal window opens one month before your pass’s expiry date and closes one month after. So you have two months in total to renew at the ticket desks without losing your membership history. Outside this window, you have to buy a new pass from scratch. I always keep an eye on my expiry date so I renew in time and keep the renewal offer.

74 Is there a discount for renewing the Disneyland Pass and how do you get it?

Yes. A 15% discount applies when you renew within the set window (1 month before to 1 month after your pass’s end date). Watch out: you can only get it at the annual pass desks at Disneyland Park. You can’t renew online (online, you can only buy a new pass at full price). When you renew there within this window, the discount is applied automatically, with no code or extra step, and you get a free Disneyland Pass lanyard.

75 How do you book for the whole family with several passes?

If several passes are linked to the same member account, you book for everyone in one go. You select the passes to register, choose the shared date, and the booking is confirmed for the whole family at once.

76 What do I need to bring to renew at the ticket desks?

Bring ID, a means of payment (card or cash), your current pass (digital or card) and, if you’re paying in monthly instalments, your bank details (RIB).

77 When does my renewed pass become active?

If you renew before it expires, the new pass becomes active the day after the old one ends, with no gap in validity. If you renew after it expires, it starts on the day you buy it. So renewing early doesn’t lose you a single day.

78 Can you still renew after your pass has expired?

Yes, you have 30 days after your expiry date to renew. After that, you’re outside the renewal window and its offer.

79 How much does a Disneyland Pass Night cost?

You have to pay for a ticket: €65 per person for the September 2026 night, compared with €59 for the 2024 and 2025 nights. The price changes from one night to the next, and the exact amount is given each time tickets go on sale.

80 Can I upgrade when I renew?

Yes. The tiers go from Bronze One to Bronze Max, then Silver and Gold. When you renew within the window at the ticket desks, you get the 15% discount on the new tier you choose.

81 Can I renew online or do I have to go to the ticket desks?

You can only renew at the annual pass desks at Disneyland Park: it’s the only way to renew and get the 15% discount. Online (Disneyland Paris account or app), you can’t renew. You can only buy a new pass at full price, without the renewal offer.

82 What happens if I book a date and don’t turn up?

If you don’t come and your pass isn’t scanned at the entrance, it counts as a no-show. If you have 3 no-shows within 90 consecutive days, Disneyland Paris blocks your access to bookings for 30 days (starting the day after the third no-show). The best habit: remember to cancel before 10:00 if you can’t make it.

83 How many dates can I book in advance with my pass?

You can have up to 3 dates booked at the same time, whatever your tier. It works on a rolling basis: as soon as a visit has passed or a date is cancelled, the slot is freed up and you can book a new one, still within the limit of 3.

84 Do you need to book a date for Disneyland Pass Nights?

If you arrive for early entry (from around 18:00), you don’t need to book anything for the night. However, if you want to enjoy the park earlier in the day, you need to book a normal day. For Pop-Up Surprises, on the other hand, booking is compulsory.
