Disneyland Paris transport: getting there, car parks and travel tips
Disneyland Paris transport is the very first step of your trip to Marne-la-Vallée, and the budget can soon spiral if you don’t plan ahead. Since 1997, I’ve tried just about every way of getting to the resort: car, RER A, TGV, plane and the Magical Shuttle. In this FAQ I’ve gathered all my factual answers to help you choose the best route for your home city and your family. I explain how to get around the high prices of the official car park with practical alternatives, how the drop-off zones work and which traps to avoid on Paris public transport with luggage. Here is my method for reaching the park gates stress-free and without unnecessary costs.
01 How do I get to Disneyland Paris?
You have four main options: by train (TGV, OUIGO or direct Eurostar), by RER A to the end of the line at Marne-la-Vallée/Chessy, by car on the A4 motorway (exit 14, Parcs Disney) or by plane with a shuttle from the Paris airports (CDG or Orly). I go through each option in my dedicated articles.
02 Which station for Disneyland Paris (TGV, RER, OUIGO, Eurostar)?
Just one station: Marne-la-Vallée/Chessy. It serves TGV, OUIGO and Eurostar trains as well as the RER A (end of the line). You arrive there directly from Paris, CDG airport, Lille, Lyon, Marseille or Brussels depending on your train (from London, with a change in Lille or Paris).
03 How far is the walk between the station and the parks?
About 5 minutes on foot. You get off the train, walk through Disney Village and arrive at the parks’ security checks. No need for a shuttle.
04 Where can I park if I come by car?
The official Disney car park is right in front of the parks, about 10 minutes’ walk from the entrance. It’s the most convenient option. There are also alternative car parks (Indigo in particular) near the RER station, usually cheaper.
05 Do you have to pay for the official Disney car park?
Yes, the Disney car park is paid by the day. The price depends on the type of vehicle (car, motorhome, two-wheeler). It is free for guests of the official Disney hotels and for annual pass holders (all tiers), except on blockout days (the Gold tier gets it all year round, with no blocked days). Up-to-date prices are on the Disneyland Paris app or on arrival.
06 Is there a cheaper car park than the Disney one?
Yes, the Indigo car park at Disney Village is usually cheaper than the Disney car park. Then allow 5 to 10 minutes’ walk to the parks. It’s a good option if you’re coming for a day without a hotel.
07 Which shuttle from CDG or Orly airports?
There are several options: the Magical Shuttle coach (paid, serving the Disney hotels), RER B then RER A, changing at Châtelet-Les Halles, or a direct TGV from CDG (the quickest). I go through the prices and journey times in my dedicated article.
08 Are there shuttle buses between the Disney hotels and the parks?
Yes, free shuttle buses serve most of the official Disney hotels. Some hotels are also within walking distance (Disneyland Hotel, Hotel New York, Newport Bay Club, Sequoia Lodge). The Davy Crockett Ranch has no shuttle: you really need a car (parking at the parks is free for its guests). The timetables are available at hotel reception or in the Disneyland Paris app.
09 What is the Disney Express service?
Disney Express is a luggage delivery service between Marne-la-Vallée/Chessy station and your hotel. When you arrive, you drop off your suitcases at the desk (first floor of the station), check in to your hotel there and then leave with your park tickets. Your luggage is delivered to your hotel. When you leave, your suitcases travel from the hotel to the station. There’s a charge for the service (allow €18 per person), it must be booked in advance and it is open to guests of the Disney hotels and Partner Hotels (except Davy Crockett Ranch and Center Parcs Villages Nature). You’ll find the details in my article on luggage storage.
10 Is there a train, hotel and ticket package for Disneyland Paris?
Yes, but not directly through the official Disneyland Paris website. Several partner travel agencies (online or high street) offer packages combining the train (TGV, Eurostar...), the hotel and park tickets, sometimes with half board. Compare the offers for your dates and the number of people.
11 Do you need a car to get to Disneyland Paris?
No. The park has excellent transport links: the RER A (Paris suburban train) stops at the entrance, trains run from the airports and the Disney hotels offer free shuttle buses. A car is mainly useful for exploring the region or if you’re staying further away.
12 How long does it take to reach the parks from the car park?
Allow 10 to 15 minutes on average to reach the parks from the car park. To save time and energy, I advise using the moving walkways between the car park and the park entrances.
13 How do I get to Paris from Disneyland Paris?
The RER A runs directly from Marne-la-Vallée/Chessy station to central Paris in about 35 to 40 minutes, with no change. It’s the easiest way to add a day of sightseeing in the capital to your trip.
14 Do I need a Crit’Air sticker for the Disneyland Paris car park?
No. The Disneyland Paris car park is in Chessy, outside the low-emission zone (ZFE). No sticker is needed to get there or park there, whatever your car.
15 Is there a discount with a Disneyland Paris ticket or Disney hotel stay?
Yes. Holders of a park ticket and guests staying at a Disney hotel get a discount on their Avis car hire. The exact amount is confirmed when you book.
16 What are the perks for Disneyland Pass holders?
Disneyland Pass holders get membership of the Avis Preferred programme (faster car hire) and a free upgrade of their vehicle.
17 Can I park at Disneyland Paris with a hire car?
Yes, like any vehicle, in the resort’s visitor car park (paid parking). The parking conditions then depend on your situation.
18 Do I need a Crit’Air sticker to drive to Disneyland Paris?
No. Disneyland Paris is in Chessy, outside the Greater Paris low-emission zone (ZFE): no sticker is needed to reach the park, the hotels or the car park, whatever your car. The sticker is only needed if you drive through Paris.
19 Does the Navigo pass cover the journey to Disneyland Paris?
Yes. A Navigo pass covering all zones (week, month or day) includes the journey to Marne-la-Vallée/Chessy at no extra cost. You simply tap your Navigo in and out.
20 Do the Disneyland Hotel and Davy Crockett Ranch have a shuttle?
No. The Disneyland Hotel is right at the entrance to Disneyland Park, so you walk there. The Disney Davy Crockett Ranch is further away and can only be reached by car (about fifteen minutes, with parking on site).
21 What time do the first and last shuttles run?
The first shuttles leave before the parks open and the last ones after closing, or after the night-time show on evenings when there is one. On the Disney side, they run frequently (about every 12 min). The exact times vary by hotel and season: ask reception for the precise timetable.
22 Are the shuttles accessible for pushchairs and wheelchairs?
Yes, pushchairs (folded) are allowed and most shuttles have a ramp and a space for wheelchairs. A specific transport service for visitors with reduced mobility runs from bay A of the north bus station. Let reception know what you need.
23 Where can I park for free near Disneyland Paris?
The simplest option is the free car park at the Val d’Europe shopping centre. From there, you reach the parks by RER A (just one stop, about 3 minutes) or by local bus. Make sure you follow the parking conditions displayed on site.
24 What time does the Disneyland Paris car park open and close?
The car park usually opens at 8:00, before the parks open, and generally closes 30 minutes after the last park closes. It stays accessible as long as Disney Village is open, so you can pick up your car after dinner at Disney Village. These times may change during events or very busy days.
25 Is there a direct train between the airport and Disneyland Paris?
Yes, but only from Roissy-CDG: direct TGV INOUI trains link the airport station to the Disneyland Paris station in about ten minutes. There are around fifteen direct trains a day, well spread out. There is no direct train from Orly.
26 How much is a taxi from the airport to Disneyland Paris?
There is no official regulated fare to Disneyland Paris as there is for Paris: some taxis and private hire cars offer a fixed price in advance, otherwise you pay what’s on the meter. As a rough guide, allow €70 to €110 from CDG and €80 to €120 from Orly, depending on the vehicle, the traffic and the time of day. Private hire prices can shoot up in the evening and during the holidays.
27 How do I get from Roissy-CDG to Disneyland Paris?
The quickest option is the direct TGV INOUI, from the TGV station at Charles de Gaulle Airport Terminal 2 to the Disneyland Paris station (Marne-la-Vallée/Chessy), in about ten minutes. Otherwise, the Magical Shuttle (about 1 hour), the RER (about 1 hour to 1 hour 15 minutes) or a taxi are also options. Shuttle details are in the dedicated article.
28 What is the difference between the Indigo car park and the visitor car park?
The Indigo car park (at Disney Village, run by Indigo) is paid by the hour, with no booking, and it is closer to the parks but smaller. The visitor car park is paid at a daily rate, and it is bigger but a little further away. See my guide to Disneyland Paris parking.
29 Can I leave my car all day in the Val d’Europe car park?
The operator advertises it as free with no time limit, but this car park is meant for shoppers and nothing explicitly allows you to leave your car there all day to go to the park. Check the conditions displayed on site: overstaying may lead to a fine.
30 Is it really worth parking elsewhere to go to Disneyland Paris?
For 1 or 2 people or a short visit, yes: the RER A from Val d’Europe is cheap and the car park is free. For a family of 4 or 5, the price of return tickets multiplied by the number of people soon gets close to the cost of parking, not to mention the extra time and walking.
31 Does the RER A go straight to Disneyland Paris?
Yes. The eastern branch of the RER A ends at Marne-la-Vallée/Chessy, which is the Disneyland Paris station. You come out of the station about 150 metres from the park entrances, with no change and no shuttle. Just check that your train shows Marne-la-Vallée/Chessy as its destination, not Torcy.
32 What is the 2026 price of an RER ticket to Disneyland Paris?
A single costs €2.55 in 2026, the price of a standard metro ticket. Since the 2025 fare reform, there is no longer a zone supplement for Disneyland Paris. Children aged 4 to 9 pay half price (€1.30) and under-4s travel free. The prices of €5.60 or more that you may still see online are out of date.
33 How much does a Crit’Air sticker cost?
About €3.85 including postage for a vehicle registered in France, and about €5.11 for a foreign vehicle (international postage). The only official website is certificat-air.gouv.fr. Steer clear of sites that charge €15 to €30 for it.
34 How long is the journey from Paris?
Allow about 35 minutes from Nation, 37 minutes from Gare de Lyon and 40 minutes from Châtelet-Les Halles. From the west of Paris, it takes a little longer: about 50 minutes from Charles de Gaulle Étoile and about 55 minutes from La Défense.
35 Which Disney hotels have a shuttle?
Five official Disney hotels have a free shuttle: Disney Hotel New York - The Art of Marvel, Disney Newport Bay Club, Disney Sequoia Lodge, Disney Hotel Cheyenne and Disney Hotel Santa Fe. They leave from the north bus station.
36 What is the last RER back to Paris from Disneyland Paris?
The last train from Chessy to Paris leaves around midnight, sometimes a little later, with a time that varies by day and any engineering work. Check the exact time that evening on the Île-de-France Mobilités app or at the station, and leave yourself some leeway after the night-time show. If you miss it, there is no night RER: you’ll need a taxi, a private hire car or to stay the night nearby.
37 Should I book the Magical Shuttle in advance?
It’s strongly recommended. Booking in advance guarantees your seat, especially during French school holidays and busy periods. You can add it to your holiday when booking on the Disneyland Paris website, or book it later on magicalshuttle.fr. Buying at the desk on arrival is still possible, but there’s no guarantee of a seat.
38 Is the Disney Village car park free for Disney hotel guests?
No, the Indigo car park at Disney Village is paid for everyone, at an hourly rate (from €1 per 15 minutes, about €26 for 24 hours). The only free options are the first minute in the drop-off zone and the free hours you get by showing a cinema ticket. This also applies to Disney hotel guests: their free parking covers their hotel car park and the Disneyland Paris visitor car park, but not the Indigo car park at Disney Village.
39 Do I need to book the Indigo car park?
No, the Indigo car park is used without booking. You just drive up and the barrier opens hands-free, thanks to number plate recognition and the Indigo Neo app.
40 Why does my RER stop at Torcy instead of Disneyland Paris?
Because not every train on the eastern branch goes as far as Chessy: many terminate at Torcy, three stops earlier. Always check the destination shown on the platform and on the front of the train. If you end up at Torcy, simply catch the next train towards Marne-la-Vallée/Chessy.
41 Does a foreign vehicle need a Crit’Air sticker?
Not to get to Disneyland Paris, which is outside the ZFE (low-emission zone). However, if you plan to drive in Paris or in the Greater Paris ZFE, you can order a French sticker for your foreign vehicle on certificat-air.gouv.fr. Allow a few days to a few weeks for delivery, depending on the country.
42 Are the ZFE restrictions really enforced in 2026?
In 2026, Greater Paris is still in its awareness phase and no automatic fines are planned for the year. As the legal framework may still change, check the exact situation on certificat-air.gouv.fr and metropolegrandparis.fr before a journey that crosses Paris.
43 Is parking free if I stay at a Disney hotel?
Yes, parking is included in your stay. You show the access pass that the hotel gives you at reception, the MagicPass (formerly Easy Pass). For a partner hotel, parking is only free if you booked through Disneyland Paris.
44 How much is the visitor car park at Disneyland Paris?
The visitor car park costs €30 per day for a car. It is free for Disney hotel guests and for all Disneyland Pass tiers, except on blockout days. Motorhome and two-wheeler prices are separate.
45 How much does the Magical Shuttle cost and do babies travel free?
Babies under 3 travel free (mention them when you book) and children aged 3 to 11 get a discounted price. The up-to-date adult price is on magicalshuttle.fr when you book.
46 Where can I leave my luggage when arriving by train?
At Marne-la-Vallée/Chessy station, automatic lockers let you leave your suitcases before going into the parks. If you’re staying at a Disney hotel, its luggage storage is free, even before check-in. Everything is explained in my luggage storage guide.
47 Does the Magical Shuttle go to my hotel?
The shuttle stops at the Disney hotels, the partner hotels around the park, the Val d’Europe area and Villages Nature Paris. When you book, you select your hotel from the list: if it’s there, it is served.
48 How long does the Magical Shuttle journey take?
About an hour on average. As it’s a shared coach that drops off at several hotels one after another, the journey time depends on the order of the stops and the traffic. So it takes longer than a taxi or private hire car that takes you straight there.
49 Does the Magical Shuttle run at night?
No. The Magical Shuttle only runs during the day, every day, and stops in the early evening. For a flight that lands or leaves late, plan on a taxi or private hire car.
50 Is the Magical Shuttle accessible to visitors with reduced mobility?
The standard coaches are not equipped for wheelchairs, but an adapted vehicle can be provided. You need to book it in advance and mention it when you make your booking.
51 How long before my flight should I take the shuttle back?
Leave plenty of time. As the shuttle is shared and depends on traffic, a good rule of thumb is to take it about 3 hours before take-off, allowing for dropping off other passengers and checking in at the airport.
52 How do I get from Orly to Disneyland Paris?
Orly has no direct train to Disneyland Paris. The simplest option is the Magical Shuttle (about 1 hour). The train is possible but complicated (Orlyval, then RER B, then RER A, the Paris suburban trains, changing at Châtelet-Les Halles), with two changes and about 1 hour 30 to 1 hour 50 minutes. A taxi or private hire car is still the most comfortable option, especially late in the evening.
53 What is the easiest option if you’re flying in?
If you land at CDG, the direct TGV (high-speed train) is quick and often cheaper than a taxi. Otherwise, or from Orly, the Magical Shuttle is the easiest: a single journey, luggage included. For a late arrival, a taxi or private hire car is still the most practical.
54 Is the Disneyland Paris hotel shuttle free?
Yes. The shuttle buses of the official Disney hotels and those of the partner hotels are free. The service is for hotel guests only: keep your booking confirmation with you, as you may be checked.
55 Is the Indigo car park cheaper than the visitor car park?
Often, yes, especially for a short visit, as it charges by the hour. The visitor car park, on the other hand, charges a flat daily rate. For a full day, the Indigo car park comes to about €26. Full details are in my guide to Disneyland Paris parking.
56 How much is the visitor car park if I’m not a passholder or a Disney hotel guest?
The visitor car park costs €30 per day for a car. This is the price to compare against when deciding whether a free option nearby is worth it.
