The Magical Shuttle is a shared bus that connects the Paris airports with Disneyland Paris. It leaves from CDG (Charles de Gaulle) and Orly and drops you off right at your hotel there. It’s an easy option and cheaper than a cab, especially when you land with luggage and don’t know the area.

Plan on around €24 per adult for a one-way ride, with a lower price for kids. The shuttle runs during the day and needs to be booked ahead. I walk you through everything below.

What is the Magical Shuttle, the Disneyland Paris airport shuttle?

The Magical Shuttle is an official transportation service running between the Paris airports and Disneyland Paris. It works as a shared bus: you ride with other travelers, and the bus drops each group off at their hotel, one stop after another.

You can travel with the Magical Shuttle in three ways, depending on your budget and needs.

The shared bus (the main option)

This is the most popular and least expensive choice. You share the bus with other travelers, and it makes several stops so everyone gets dropped off at their hotel. It’s comfortable and convenient, though a bit slower than a direct ride (more on that below).

Magical Shuttle Private (with your own driver)

If you’d rather go straight there, with no sharing and no stops along the way, there’s the Private option. You book a car with a driver just for your party: a sedan, a van, or a minibus depending on how many of you there are. You ride directly between the airport and your hotel, and the service also picks up in central Paris.

Pricing is by quote, and it costs more than the shared bus. It makes sense for a large family or a group, or if you want to save time.

The wheelchair-accessible vehicle

The regular buses can’t take a wheelchair. If you have reduced mobility, an accessible vehicle can be arranged for you, but you need to request it in advance. Be sure to mention it when you book.

Which airports and hotels does it serve?

The Magical Shuttle serves the two main Paris airports, in both directions (from the airport to Disneyland Paris, and from Disneyland Paris back to the airport).

The shuttle from CDG (Charles de Gaulle)

If you land at Charles de Gaulle, the shuttle leaves right from the airport. Where it picks you up depends on your terminal. Once you arrive, follow the signs for shuttles and head to the Magical Shuttle desk. The exact pickup spots (terminal, door, bay) can change, so check them on the official website, magicalshuttle.fr, before you leave home.

The shuttle from Orly

If you land at Orly, the shuttle also departs from the airport. Just like at CDG, look for the shuttle area when you arrive and go to the Magical Shuttle desk. Here too, confirm the exact pickup point online before your trip.

Where the shuttle drops you off

  • The Disney hotels on site
  • The partner hotels around the park
  • The Val d’Europe area
  • Villages Nature Paris

How much does the Magical Shuttle cost?

Pricing is simple and the same whether you leave from CDG or Orly. Here’s what a one-way ride costs.

PassengerOne-way price
Adult€24
Child (ages 3 to 11)€11
Baby (under 3)Free

Magical Shuttle one-way prices (same price from CDG or Orly)

There’s sometimes a discounted price for a round trip booked online, and group deals may apply if you’re traveling with several people. These offers change, so check the current terms on the official website.

The Magical Shuttle Private option (a car with a driver) is priced by quote and costs more: the price depends on the type of vehicle and the number of passengers.

What’s the schedule?

The Magical Shuttle runs during the day only, until early evening. There’s no overnight service. Buses leave at regular intervals, several times an hour, but departures are less frequent from Orly than from CDG.

The exact times vary with the season and the airport. The airport-to-park and park-to-airport runs don’t even have quite the same hours. Before your trip, I recommend checking the online planner at magicalshuttle.fr to see the exact time slots for your dates.

How much time should you allow?

The ride takes about an hour on average. That’s an average, though, not a promise: since the bus is shared and stops at several hotels in turn, your actual travel time depends on the drop-off order and on traffic. If your hotel is the last stop, your ride will take longer.

That’s the main thing to keep in mind: the Magical Shuttle is slower than a cab or a rideshare that takes you straight there. On the other hand, it costs a lot less.

How do you book the Magical Shuttle?

You can book your shuttle in three ways. I recommend booking ahead: your seat is guaranteed, which really helps during busy periods (French school vacations, long weekends).

  • When you book your vacation on the Disneyland Paris website: you add the transfer right to your booking, which is the easiest way.
  • Later, on the shuttle company’s website, magicalshuttle.fr: handy if you’ve already booked your hotel somewhere else.
  • In person at the airport desk once you land: doable, but I’d skip it, because nothing guarantees you a seat and the wait can be long when it’s crowded.

Pros and cons

Pros

  • Cheaper than a cab or a rideshare
  • Takes you all the way to your hotel door, no change of vehicle
  • No hauling your luggage onto a train
  • An option for guests with reduced mobility
  • Greener than riding alone, since the bus is shared

Drawbacks

  • Slower and less flexible than a cab or a rideshare, because the ride is shared and makes several stops
  • Daytime hours only, with no late-evening or overnight service
  • Requires a reservation and some planning, especially at peak times

The Magical Shuttle isn’t always the best fit for everyone. Here’s a quick comparison to help you decide. If you’re coming from Paris rather than from an airport, the RER A is often easier and cheaper: I cover it all in taking the RER A from Paris.

Frequently asked questions

01 Do I need to book the Magical Shuttle in advance?

It’s strongly recommended. Booking ahead guarantees your seat, especially during French school vacation and busy periods. You can add it to your vacation when booking on the Disneyland Paris website, or book it later on magicalshuttle.fr. Buying at the counter when you arrive is still possible, but a seat isn’t guaranteed.

02 Does the Magical Shuttle stop at my hotel?

Its stops include the Disney hotels, partner hotels near the park, the Val d’Europe area, and Villages Nature Paris. During booking, you choose your hotel from a list: if you find it there, the shuttle goes to it.

03 How long is the ride on the Magical Shuttle?

About an hour on average. Since it’s a shared bus that stops at several hotels one after another, the time depends on the drop-off order and traffic. So it takes longer than a taxi or rideshare that drives you straight there.

04 Can you take the Magical Shuttle at night?

No. The Magical Shuttle runs during the day only, every day, and stops in the early evening. For a flight landing or leaving late, plan on a taxi or rideshare.

05 What’s the Magical Shuttle price, and is it free for babies?

Babies under 3 ride free (mention them when you book), and kids from 3 to 11 get a discounted price. The current adult price is shown on magicalshuttle.fr when you book.

06 Is the Magical Shuttle accessible for guests with reduced mobility?

The standard buses aren’t equipped for wheelchairs, but an adapted vehicle can be arranged. You need to request it in advance, when you make your booking.

07 On my way home, how early before my flight should I catch the shuttle?

Give yourself plenty of time. Because the shuttle is shared and depends on traffic, a good rule of thumb is to take it about 3 hours before takeoff, to allow for the other passengers’ drop-offs and check-in at the airport.
