At a glance

Disney Davy Crockett Ranch is a one-of-a-kind Disney lodging, set out in nature about 15 minutes by car from Disneyland Paris. Instead of a regular hotel, it offers 584 standalone wooden bungalows spread across a huge 57-hectare forest park, with a feel that recalls the great American national parks of the trapper era.

Each bungalow sleeps up to 6 people and has a fully equipped kitchen, a private deck with a picnic table and barbecue, and its own parking spot. Being this self-sufficient means you can cook your own meals, and that’s the ranch’s main draw for families, groups of friends, and long stays. Between September 2025 and September 2026, the resort replaced all of its bungalows. They’re now decorated with a Donald, Daisy, and Junior Woodchucks theme (the scout troop of Huey, Dewey and Louie). These New Classic Bungalows have 2 bedrooms, including a primary suite, 2 bathrooms, Lavazza coffee pods, and even a Mickey waffle maker.

When it comes to activities, the ranch offers a heated indoor pool with its own waterslide, mini golf, playgrounds for the kids, and lots of forest trails to wander. Meals center on Crockett’s Tavern, which puts out an all-you-can-eat Tex-Mex buffet at dinnertime (with a barbecue in summer), while Crockett’s Saloon handles drinks.

Heads up: the free Disney shuttles don’t serve the hotel, and you’ll need your own car to get to the parks. Guests still get Extra Magic Time to enter both parks before official opening, plus parking included at the hotel and at the parks.

What sets it apart

Bungalow & kitchen. Set deep in the forest, a fifteen-minute drive away, this place requires a car of your own since no shuttle runs here. Every standalone unit has a full kitchen, an outdoor barbecue, and a private wooden deck. The indoor pool has a waterslide and a waterfall for families.

History

Opened on April 12, 1992, Disney Davy Crockett Ranch is the most unusual place to stay in the resort: 584 bungalows scattered through the forest, about 6 km (4 miles) from the parks, originally themed around the trapper Davy Crockett.

The complete makeover of the bungalows started in 2024, and the first redesigned units opened on September 1, 2025, themed around Donald, Daisy, and the Junior Woodchucks.

Rooms & suites

The hotel offers 3 types of bungalows for 6 people: the New Classic Bungalow, the same bungalow located close to the services, and the accessible bungalow. Set in the woods, they come with a full kitchen and a parking spot right outside. All of them can be booked room only or with park tickets included.

At Davy Crockett Ranch, what you pay per night in a bungalow depends on when you go: the very same bungalow can cost a lot more or a lot less from one period to another. Check my price calendar for the actual rate on each day, and set an alert to get an email the moment a stay falls under your budget.

My verdict

Julie
Julie 200+ visits since 2023

Davy Crockett Ranch offers a completely different kind of stay, built around independence and nature. A wooden bungalow with a full kitchen and a barbecue lets you run your trip at your own pace, far from the crowds of the big hotels.

I haven’t stayed here or tried it out myself. My opinion is based only on the hotel’s official listing, feedback from people I know, and online reviews. Since late September 2026, Disney only offers the new bungalows, updated with a Junior Woodchucks theme. Families often recommend the big indoor pool with its waterslide, but a car of your own is still essential since no free shuttle serves the site.

My pick for big groups of up to 6 people traveling by car, who enjoy cooking their own meals (and cutting back on restaurant bills) and love a peaceful forest setting. Skip it if you’re coming by train or hope to stroll over to the parks.

Extra services

Davy Crockett Ranch also has a menu of add-on services so you can tailor your stay and turn it into something special.

You might order flowers or champagne waiting in your bungalow, gifts picked from the shop, a birthday cake, or a custom message, for instance.

These extras are only open to guests holding a reservation, who then reach out to the concierge desk.

Disneyland Paris may change prices and services, and everything is subject to availability.

Map & getting there

Disney Davy Crockett Ranch sits in the middle of the forest, about 15 minutes by car from Disneyland Paris, away from the main hotel area. It’s the only Disney lodging you can’t reach on foot and that the free Disney shuttles don’t serve: you’ll need your own car or a taxi to get to the parks and Disney Village.

Your questions about this hotel

01 Which hotel should you choose if you love nature and quiet?

Davy Crockett Ranch is the nature-and-quiet option: bungalows tucked into a forest, away from the parks (you can only get there by car). It has the biggest pool in the resort, with a waterslide and waterfalls, in a rustic setting. Sequoia Lodge is a good middle ground if you want the forest feel without needing a car, a 15-minute walk from the parks.

02 Is a car necessary to get to Disneyland Paris?

No. The park is very easy to reach: the RER A (Paris commuter train) stops at the entrance, trains run from the airports, and the Disney hotels offer free shuttles. A car is mostly useful for exploring the area or if you’re staying farther away.

03 Which of the Disney hotels have a pool?

5 of the 7 official Disney hotels have a pool: the Disneyland Hotel (indoor pool only, with a hot tub, steam room, and sauna), Hotel New York - The Art of Marvel (indoor and outdoor), Newport Bay Club (indoor and outdoor, with a large pool), Sequoia Lodge (indoor and outdoor), and Davy Crockett Ranch (indoor, the biggest at the resort, with a waterslide). Hotel Cheyenne and Hotel Santa Fe don’t have a pool.

04 Can your pet come along, and where can your dog stay?

Pets aren’t allowed in the parks or in the Disney hotels. The exceptions are Davy Crockett Ranch, which accepts dogs in some bungalows, and guide and assistance dogs with proof of status. For other pets, a kennel near the parks will look after your animal for the day while you visit.

05 Who’s eligible for Extra Magic Time, and does it require a reservation?

You qualify in three situations: if you’re staying at an official Disney hotel (on your arrival day, throughout your stay, and on your departure day), if you’re staying at Villages Nature Paris with a package that includes it, or if you hold a valid Disneyland Pass Gold. The Bronze One, Bronze Max, and Silver tiers don’t include early entry. There’s nothing to reserve: just show up at the park entrance about an hour before official opening with your MagicPass or your Gold pass. Hotel guests should do their online check-in so they can use it from day one.
