At a glance
Rated 4 stars, Disney Newport Bay Club stands out for its sheer size. With 1093 rooms, it’s the largest hotel at Disneyland Paris, with room for a huge number of guests and something to suit a very wide range of visitors.
From the moment you arrive, the architecture by Robert A. M. Stern sweeps you into the elegance of East Coast seaside resorts in the US. The interior design leans into a strong nautical theme: blue and beige tones, wood paneling, and plenty of objects recalling the America’s Cup are scattered around to recreate the feel of a real yacht club.
As for rooms, pick a classic family room or a premium suite in the Compass Club range: either way, this Disney hotel delivers quality service. Guests can enjoy a large aquatic area with pools and a peaceful atmosphere that’s perfect for resting after a day on the rides.
Seaside atmosphere. The architecture draws straight from 1920s New England beach resorts, right across from Lake Disney. There’s a huge heated indoor and outdoor pool where you can unwind after a day in the parks. The Yacht Club serves seafood dishes in an elegant setting that recalls a white ocean liner.
History
Opened on April 12, 1992, along with the rest of the resort, the Newport Bay Club is the biggest hotel at Disneyland Paris. Architect Robert A.M. Stern designed it in the spirit of New England seaside resorts.
A major refurbishment carried out from 2013 to 2016 earned it a fourth star and created the premium Compass Club floor, replacing the former Admiral’s Floor.

Character meet and greets
If you stay at the Newport Bay Club, a Disney character drops by each afternoon from 16:15 to 18:15 and each evening from 19:30 to 22:20. Who shows up is a surprise, chosen among Mickey, Minnie, Donald, Daisy, Goofy, or Pluto, and it makes for a memorable meet and greet.
Random meet and greet with a Disney character twice a day (you can come back several times during your stay) in the hotel lobby.
Who it’s made for
Pros and cons
The highlights
- You can walk to the parks in 15 minutes along the lake
- A heated pool, indoors and out, decorated like an ocean liner
- Daily meet and greets with Disney characters dressed as sailors
- Roomy rooms that sleep up to 4 people
The downsides
- Very long hallways to get anywhere in the hotel
- Soundproofing in the rooms can fall short
- Furniture and interior decor showing signs of wear
My verdict
The Newport Bay Club makes an impression with its massive size on the lakefront, but that scale is also its main weakness. The 1900s nautical decor is elegant, yet the hotel sometimes struggles with overcrowding.
Over my 2 stays there, the most recent in 2025, my honest take hasn’t changed: the hallways go on forever, and waiting for the elevators or at breakfast takes plenty of patience. The beds are comfortable and the indoor pool is gorgeous, but some of the finishes are starting to look a bit dated. Choosing Compass Club perks lets you skip the crowds on busy days thanks to private spaces, and that changes the stay completely.
It’s a good pick for big families or anyone who loves a nautical vibe and doesn’t mind a bit of walking. Skip it if you hate impersonal resorts and waiting in line inside a hotel, but I highly recommend it for families with a baby or a young child.

Extra services
On top of that, the Newport Bay Club has a few add-on services that can make your vacation feel extra special.
For example, you can order flowers or champagne for your room, gifts from the store, a birthday cake, or a personalized message.
To use these services, you need to have a booking already and get in touch with the hotel concierge.
Disneyland Paris can adjust what’s offered and what it costs, and everything hinges on availability.

Your questions about this hotel
01 Which of the Disney hotels have a pool?
5 of the 7 official Disney hotels have a pool: the Disneyland Hotel (indoor pool only, with a hot tub, steam room, and sauna), Hotel New York - The Art of Marvel (indoor and outdoor), Newport Bay Club (indoor and outdoor, with a large pool), Sequoia Lodge (indoor and outdoor), and Davy Crockett Ranch (indoor, the biggest at the resort, with a waterslide). Hotel Cheyenne and Hotel Santa Fe don’t have a pool.
02 Which Disney hotel pool is the most fun for kids?
For a fun pool, go for a hotel with a waterslide: Sequoia Lodge (Quarry Pool) and Davy Crockett Ranch are the only two that have one. Sequoia Lodge is my top pick for a family getting around on foot. Davy Crockett Ranch has the biggest pool in the resort, with a slide and waterfalls, but you can only get there by car. If you’d rather have large shallow areas for little ones, the Newport Bay Club and Hotel New York - The Art of Marvel are a great fit. Water wings and swim rings are lent free of charge.
03 Which Disney hotel gives you the best value for money?
In my view, Hotel Cheyenne is the best value: an immersive Wild West atmosphere at an affordable price, ideal for families. The Newport Bay Club comes right after, with its big pool and comfortable rooms at a fair price for what you get. It all depends on your priorities (theme, pool, distance), but Cheyenne is still my favorite when you’re keeping an eye on the budget.
04 Which Disney hotel should you pick with kids?
For a trip with kids, I recommend Hotel Cheyenne: a very immersive Wild West atmosphere (saloon, Western streets, ponies) at an affordable price, and little ones love it. The Newport Bay Club is also an excellent choice thanks to its big pool with areas for children. Sequoia Lodge appeals to families who like Disney’s forest-style setting. Skip Davy Crockett Ranch if you don’t have a car, since getting to the parks from there is more of a hassle.
05 What theme does each Disney hotel have?
Each Disney hotel has its own world: the Disneyland Hotel is themed around princesses and royalty, Disney Hotel New York - The Art of Marvel celebrates Marvel superheroes through works of art, Newport Bay Club evokes seafaring New England, Sequoia Lodge takes you into a Bambi-style forest, Hotel Cheyenne recreates a Wild West town complete with a saloon, Hotel Santa Fe draws on Cars and Route 66, and Davy Crockett Ranch offers cabins out in the woods.
