At a glance
Rated 3 stars, the Disney Hotel Cheyenne welcomed its first guests in April 1992, right as Disneyland Paris opened. It has 1000 rooms spread across several wooden buildings named after famous Wild West figures such as Calamity Jane, Wyatt Earp, Butch Cassidy, Jesse James, and Billy the Kid.
The hotel drops guests into a small cowboy town recreated in the days of the gold rush. Weathered wooden storefronts, old-time signs, the saloon, the well, the tepees, and Fort Apache make up a setting unlike any other Disney hotel.
A 2017 makeover gave every room a Woody’s Roundup look starring Woody, Jessie, and Bullseye from Toy Story 2. Think bedspreads that mimic cowhide, lamps shaped like cowboy boots, mirrors framed as horseshoes, and wall borders painted in the Pixar characters’ colors.
The hotel has no swimming pool, but it offers several free activities, such as pony rides and the Fort Apache outdoor playground on the banks of the Rio Grande river. For meals, there’s just one family restaurant: the Chuck Wagon Café serves breakfast and dinner as an all-you-can-eat Tex-Mex and American buffet, and the Red Garter Saloon for drinks or cocktails and a Starbucks Coffee near the front desk round things out.
With its very polished Western theme, some of the most affordable prices among the Disney hotels, rooms that sleep up to 4 people, and a daily meet and greet with Woody or Jessie, the Cheyenne is still one of the Disney hotels families love most. Hotel guests also get Extra Magic Time to enter both parks before official opening.
A real Western town. Pedestrian streets lined with wooden storefronts faithfully recreate a town of the American West, complete with a saloon and a sheriff’s office. Kids love the paid pony rides offered when the weather is nice. The themed rooms take their cue straight from Sheriff Woody in Toy Story.
History
Opened on April 12, 1992, the Disney Hotel Cheyenne recreates a town of the American West the way Hollywood movies pictured it. Architect Robert A.M. Stern designed it, with streets lined by wooden buildings.
The hotel picked up its third star after a 2016-2017 makeover, when Woody and Jessie from the Toy Story movies became the new stars of the room decor.

Who it’s made for
Pros and cons
The highlights
- A Wild West mood you really step into, with a one-of-a-kind Western town setting
- Rooms decorated with Toy Story (Woody and Jessie)
- Prices on the more affordable end of the Disney hotel lineup
- Original activities at no cost (pony rides, Fort Apache playground
The downsides
- A long walk to the park (about 20 minutes)
- No swimming pool on site
- Only one place to eat on site, a buffet restaurant
- No elevator in most of the buildings
My verdict
In my opinion, the Hotel Cheyenne offers the best value for money at the resort, thanks to how completely it drops you into a little Wild West town. The detail in its wooden pedestrian streets makes you forget you’re staying in a budget-category hotel.
It’s my favorite hotel at Disneyland Paris. I’ve stayed there 3 times, most recently in 2026. The Toy Story themed rooms are perfectly laid out for families and very functional. The only real downside is that most buildings have no elevator, plus the 20-minute walk to the parks, which the free shuttles thankfully make up for. The Chuck Wagon Café buffet is simple but generous, and I always love its very friendly atmosphere.
I recommend it without hesitation for families with young kids who love cowboys and for moderate budgets. Skip it if a pool is a must for your vacation, because this hotel doesn’t have one.

On top of that, the Hotel Cheyenne has a range of add-on services if you want to make your stay feel a little more special.

To use these services, you need to have a booking already and then get in touch with the hotel concierge.

Map & getting there
The Disney Hotel Cheyenne sits on the north side of the man-made Rio Grande river, which links it to Lake Disney, just past Disney Village and across from the Hotel Santa Fe.
Plan on about 20 minutes on foot to the Disneyland Paris park entrances along the lake, or 8 minutes on the free shuttle from the stop in front of Marne-la-Vallée - Chessy station. A little farther out than the three hotels right on the shore of Lake Disney, it offers a quieter setting, with a peaceful walk along the Rio Grande river.

Your questions about this hotel
01 Which Disney hotel gives you the best value for money?
In my view, Hotel Cheyenne is the best value: an immersive Wild West atmosphere at an affordable price, ideal for families. The Newport Bay Club comes right after, with its big pool and comfortable rooms at a fair price for what you get. It all depends on your priorities (theme, pool, distance), but Cheyenne is still my favorite when you’re keeping an eye on the budget.
02 Which Disney hotel should you pick with kids?
For a trip with kids, I recommend Hotel Cheyenne: a very immersive Wild West atmosphere (saloon, Western streets, ponies) at an affordable price, and little ones love it. The Newport Bay Club is also an excellent choice thanks to its big pool with areas for children. Sequoia Lodge appeals to families who like Disney’s forest-style setting. Skip Davy Crockett Ranch if you don’t have a car, since getting to the parks from there is more of a hassle.
03 Can you meet Disney characters right at your hotel?
Yes, several Disney hotels offer character meet and greets, usually in dedicated spots in the lobby. At the Disneyland Hotel, Castle Club rooms include a royal breakfast with Disney princesses in the private lounge. Other hotels host occasional character appearances, and the program changes with the season. I always check the schedule with the concierge as soon as I arrive.
04 Which Disney hotel is the cheapest?
The cheapest official Disney hotel is the Hotel Santa Fe, themed around Cars and Route 66. It’s the resort’s entry-level hotel, about a 20-minute walk from the parks. If your budget is even tighter, the Davy Crockett Ranch (cabins in the woods, reachable only by car) can work out cheaper for families, but you’ll need a vehicle. For exact prices, which change with the dates, I go straight to the official Disneyland Paris website.
05 What theme does each Disney hotel have?
Each Disney hotel has its own world: the Disneyland Hotel is themed around princesses and royalty, Disney Hotel New York - The Art of Marvel celebrates Marvel superheroes through works of art, Newport Bay Club evokes seafaring New England, Sequoia Lodge takes you into a Bambi-style forest, Hotel Cheyenne recreates a Wild West town complete with a saloon, Hotel Santa Fe draws on Cars and Route 66, and Davy Crockett Ranch offers cabins out in the woods.
