At a glance
Villages Nature Paris is a vacation resort created jointly by Center Parcs and Disneyland Paris, which opened in September 2017. It covers 259 hectares in Bailly-Romainvilliers and has more than 1158 units split between cottages and apartments, following an expansion led by Center Parcs (there were originally 868 units).
The resort is built around an eco-tourism approach backed by some big names. Joe Rohde, a former Disney Imagineer known for designing Pandora at Animal Kingdom, worked on the concept, while architect Jean de Gastines designed the wooden cottages to blend into the surrounding forest. The Aqua Mundo water park (formerly Aqualagon), designed by Jacques Ferrier, has 9,000 m² indoors and 2,500 m² outdoors, kept at 30°C all year thanks to geothermal energy.
What sets Villages Nature Paris apart from the other Disneyland Paris partner hotels is its vacation-rental format: you stay at least 3 nights in a cottage or apartment with a full kitchen instead of booking a standard hotel night. The cottages are grouped in small clusters, and the VIP versions sleep up to 12 people. The resort is divided into 5 themed areas (Aqua Mundo, Bellevie Farm, Extraordinary Gardens, Forest of Legends, Lakeside Promenade).
When it comes to food, there are 7 restaurants in a range of styles: Suzette for crêpes, Vapiano for Italian, the Cépages wine bar, the farm-style Les Délices de la Ferme, Miam Miam Burger, Lagon Café, and Bar Bowling. A Chez Meunier bakery and a Franprix supermarket also make it easy to cook in the equipped family units. The Deli’very service drops a breakfast basket right at your cottage between 8:30 and 10:00.
A giant water lagoon. Staying at this eco-village gets you full access to Aqua Mundo, a water park heated year-round with waterslides and outdoor pools. You sleep in roomy cottages surrounded by nature, only six kilometers from Disneyland Paris. There’s plenty to do on site too, like an educational farm and treetop adventure courses.
History
Villages Nature Paris opened to the public on September 1, 2017. It started as a joint venture between Euro Disney and the Pierre & Vacances-Center Parcs group, built on an ecotourism concept centered on harmony between people and nature, just a few kilometers from the parks.
Imagineer Joe Rohde was in charge of the creative direction. In December 2022, Euro Disney sold its stake to Pierre & Vacances-Center Parcs, which now runs the resort and its water park, Aqua Mundo, on its own.

Who it’s made for
Pros and cons
The highlights
- Access to Extra Magic Time depending on the package you book, unlike the other partner hotels
- Aqua Mundo covers 9,000 m² under a roof and 2,500 m² in the open air, heated all year long
- Cottages for up to 12 people
- Unspoiled natural setting
The downsides
- About 15 minutes by car from the parks
- No free Disney shuttle
- 3-night minimum stay
- Lots of activities cost extra
- Restaurants close fairly early in the evening
My verdict
This eco-tourism resort is a total green getaway that shakes up the usual Disney vacation, starting with its three-night minimum stay. The one thing that makes it worth booking on its own is full access to the Aqua Mundo water park.
I’ve tried this place 3 times, most recently in 2023. The wooden cottages are roomy and perfect if you like doing your own thing, but the property is huge and you’ll walk a lot to reach the Lakeside Promenade and all the activities and entertainment. My honest take is about the extras: many of the on-site activities cost extra, and the restaurants close fairly early at night. Keep in mind there’s no free shuttle to the parks, so you’ll need the public bus or a car for the fifteen-minute trip.
I recommend it without hesitation for multigenerational families who want to mix one park day with two days of downtime on the giant waterslides. Avoid it if your only goal is to make the most of the parks from opening to closing.

Extra services
On top of that, Villages Nature Paris has a few added services that make your time there easier.
Paid options on site include a spa with a wide range of treatments, pedal boat, electric boat, and Rosalie pedal cart rentals on or around the lake, a themed escape room, bowling, laser tag, a treetop adventure course, archery, water aerobics, discovery workshops, bike and Segway rentals, and a babysitting service.
You need to book these services ahead, either in the mobile app, at the Welcome House in the center of the resort, or online when you book your stay.
Map & getting there
The resort is in Bailly-Romainvilliers, about 6 km from Disneyland Paris, or 15 minutes from the parks by car. The hotel has no free Disney shuttle, so you’ll rely on the paid public bus (line 47, €2) from Marne-la-Vallée/Chessy station, or bring your own car.

Your questions about this hotel
01 Which hotel should you choose if you love nature and quiet?
Davy Crockett Ranch is the nature-and-quiet option: bungalows tucked into a forest, away from the parks (you can only get there by car). It has the biggest pool in the resort, with a waterslide and waterfalls, in a rustic setting. Sequoia Lodge is a good middle ground if you want the forest feel without needing a car, a 15-minute walk from the parks.
02 Official Disney hotel vs. partner hotel: what’s the difference?
An official Disney hotel is run by Disneyland Paris and comes with exclusive perks: Extra Magic Time in the morning before official opening, free delivery of your store purchases to the hotel, and a fully themed atmosphere. A partner hotel (Explorers, Adagio, B&B, and others) is a privately run hotel near the resort, usually cheaper, but without Extra Magic Time or the Disney theming. For me, staying at a Disney hotel really changes how immersed you feel, but if money is tight, partner hotels are still a decent option.
03 Disney hotel or partner hotel: which one should you pick?
It all depends on your budget and your game plan. Disney hotel: you get Extra Magic Time (entry to the parks up to 1 hour before official opening, on a selection of headline rides), delivery of your purchases to the hotel, the official shuttle service, and a themed atmosphere. Partner hotel (Explorers, Adagio, B&B, and others): prices are often lower, a free shuttle is usually offered but it isn’t an official Disney one, and breakfast isn’t always included in the rate (check when you book). For a first trip, I’d lean toward a Disney hotel. To make the most of your budget, go with a partner hotel.
04 Is a car necessary to get to Disneyland Paris?
No. The park is very easy to reach: the RER A (Paris commuter train) stops at the entrance, trains run from the airports, and the Disney hotels offer free shuttles. A car is mostly useful for exploring the area or if you’re staying farther away.
05 How much does a Disneyland Paris vacation cost?
The price of a stay varies a lot depending on the hotel you pick. For a 2-day, 1-night stay for 2 adults and 2 kids with park tickets included, expect about €600 at the cheapest official Disney hotel and up to €1,100 at the most upscale one. On top of that, you need to add meals: the amount depends on the type of restaurant, but I recommend budgeting at least €300 for breakfast, lunch, afternoon snack, and dinner over the 2 days. All in all, plan on €900 to €1,400 for this kind of trip. For a single day only, the 1-day 1-park ticket starts at €49 per adult with a Bon Plan ticket: in that case, plan a budget of at least about €400 for a one-day visit for 2 adults and 2 kids, meals included.
