At Disneyland Paris, you can have breakfast in three places: in the Disney hotels, at Disney Village or right inside the parks. Each one meets a different need, from a hearty all-you-can-eat buffet to a coffee and pastry grabbed in a hurry before the rides open.
But choosing your breakfast isn’t just about where. It can also make a real difference to your budget and your day. A big breakfast can let you have a lighter lunch, while a quick breakfast on the go remains the cheapest option. In this article, I give you every option by location and, above all, how to choose according to your goal.
Why does breakfast matter at Disneyland Paris?
Breakfast isn’t just a quick stop before the day begins. Planned well, it pays off in several ways.
Fuel up before a long day. Days in the parks are intense and you’re on your feet constantly. A good breakfast saves you from the mid-morning slump and from impulse snack buying.
Get ahead of the crowds. A quick breakfast on Main Street or an early character slot means you’re ready while the rides are still quiet.
Enjoy the characters. Breakfast with Disney characters is perfect for a relaxed keepsake moment, without the crowds at the meet and greet spots.
Make the most of your budget. This is the most underrated point: depending on your plan and the time of day, breakfast can shape your spending for the whole day. More on that just below.
Which breakfast suits your goal?
That’s the real question to ask yourself. Rather than picking a place at random, start from what you want out of the day. Here are the four most common scenarios.
Saving money
A quick breakfast at Disney Village (Starbucks, McDonald’s, Le Comptoir) or just a pastry. Much cheaper than a hotel buffet and ideal for a family trip over several days.
Saving time
A quick breakfast on Main Street as soon as the park opens, so you can head straight for the rides while the crowds are still light.
Meeting the characters
Character breakfast at Auberge de Cendrillon (Fantasyland), booking essential. The first slot of the morning gives you peace and quiet before the crowds arrive.
Comfort and a smart budget
If breakfast is included (Club room or meal plan) or you have a hotel buffet: eat well in the morning and keep lunch light. You save time and money on your midday meal.
Where can you have breakfast at Disneyland Paris?
In the Disney hotels
The Disney hotels offer an all-you-can-eat continental buffet, with something for every taste (sweet and savoury, sometimes English or American style depending on the hotel).
Breakfast is included for Club rooms and in some meal plans. Otherwise, you pay on site.
Non-residents can sometimes have breakfast at the hotels, but this is decided day by day depending on occupancy, so it isn’t guaranteed: ask the hotel.
The hotels serving breakfast: Beaver Creek Tavern and Hunter’s Grill (Sequoia Lodge), Cape Cod (Newport Bay Club), Chuck Wagon Café (Cheyenne), Downtown Restaurant (New York - The Art of Marvel), La Cantina (Santa Fe) and Royal Banquet (Disneyland Hotel). For details of each buffet, see the dedicated hotel pages.
At Disney Village
Disney Village is the place for a budget-friendly breakfast. You’ll find a bit of everything, from table service to quick takeaway:
- Brasserie Rosalie, à la carte, with a French brasserie feel
- Earl of Sandwich, for an English-style breakfast
- Starbucks Coffee for a coffee and a pastry on the go
- McDonald’s and Le Comptoir (takeaway snack counter) for a quick, cheap breakfast
- Sports Bar & Lounge, à la carte
If keeping costs down is your priority, this is where you’ll find the most affordable options, much cheaper than a hotel buffet. For everything about eating in this area, see where to eat at Disney Village.
In the parks
You can also have breakfast right inside the parks, in two ways.
On the go. At Disneyland Park, several spots on Main Street serve coffee, pastries and small bites à la carte: Cable Car Bake Shop, Cookie Kitchen and Market House Deli. Over in Discoveryland, Café Hyperion is also open for a quick stop. At Disney Adventure World, Searchlight (snack and drinks kiosk) and The Hollywood Gardens Restaurant offer a morning pit stop.
With the characters. Character breakfast is served at Auberge de Cendrillon (Fantasyland). It’s currently the only character breakfast in the resort (and, since 2026, Mickey reportedly makes the odd appearance there too, with no guarantee). Booking is essential, with two morning slots: 8:15 (reserved for Extra Magic Time) and 9:45 (open to everyone). I go through the access conditions and how it works in my character breakfast guide.

My tips for a good breakfast
- Book the character breakfast in the app. For Auberge de Cendrillon, book ahead in the Disneyland Paris app: tables go fast, especially at busy times.
- For the hotels, ask on site. Access to a hotel buffet isn’t guaranteed for non-residents: check directly with the hotel, as it depends on occupancy.
- Arrive early. Breakfast at opening time leaves you the morning for the quietest rides.
- Go for an early slot. The earlier you are, the calmer it is for photos. The very first slot (8:15) is reserved for Extra Magic Time. Otherwise, take the earliest slot open to everyone (9:45).
- Think about your overall budget. If breakfast is included or you have a big one, keep lunch light. Otherwise, a quick breakfast at Disney Village keeps your budget under control.
- Check what’s open. Disney Village keeps changing: always confirm which restaurants are open on the day.

Frequently asked questions
01 Can I have breakfast at a Disney hotel without staying there?
It’s possible, but not guaranteed. Whether non-residents can have breakfast at the Disney hotels is decided day by day, depending on occupancy. Ask the hotel directly, and expect to pay on the spot.
02 Where can I get a cheap breakfast at Disneyland Paris?
Disney Village is the cheapest place in the morning: Starbucks, McDonald’s or Le Comptoir for a quick takeaway breakfast, much cheaper than a hotel buffet. A simple pastry remains the lightest option for your budget.
03 Can I have breakfast in the parks?
Yes. At Disneyland Park, several spots on Main Street serve coffee and pastries à la carte (Cable Car Bake Shop, Cookie Kitchen, Market House Deli), as does Café Hyperion in Discoveryland. At Disney Adventure World, Searchlight (kiosk) and The Hollywood Gardens Restaurant are good for a morning stop.
04 Is breakfast an all-you-can-eat buffet?
In the Disney hotels, yes: breakfast is an all-you-can-eat continental buffet, sweet and savoury. The places in the Village and the parks work more on an à la carte or takeaway basis.
05 Do I need to book a restaurant in advance at Disneyland Paris?
Yes, for buffet restaurants and table-service restaurants, I strongly recommend it: tables go quickly, especially at weekends and in the school holidays. Quick-service restaurants and snack kiosks are walk-in, with no booking. Book as early as possible, up to 2 months ahead for a day visit and up to 1 year ahead if you’re staying at a Disney hotel.
06 How can I eat at Disneyland Paris with an allergy or a special diet?
In every restaurant in the parks and Disney hotels, tell the restaurant manager about your allergy as soon as you arrive. You’ll be shown the allergen chart and, if nothing suits you, a selection of dishes free from the main allergens (including gluten) is offered on the spot, with no advance order and no extra charge. Vegetarian and vegan options are available everywhere. For kosher and halal meals, order at least 48 hours in advance on +33 1 60 30 40 50. You can also bring something to tide a baby or a fussy eater over (baby food jar, bottle), as food is allowed through security.
