At a glance

Beaver Creek Tavern is one of the two restaurants at Disney Hotel Sequoia Lodge (along with Hunter’s Grill), a hotel themed on the wild forests of North America, on the shore of Lake Disney and right next to Disney Village. It’s open to hotel guests and outside visitors alike.

The decor channels a rustic tavern for hunters and trappers: wood everywhere, a canoe hanging from the ceiling, traditional decorative objects, and warm lighting. The atmosphere is family-friendly and welcoming. The restaurant serves an all-you-can-eat buffet at dinner, with a wide range of American-inspired dishes and traditional country cooking: appetizers, hot main courses, and desserts, all self-service. Options for special diets are available on request, and you can ask Cast Members (Disney employees) for the allergen list.

The restaurant is open every day from 18:00 to 22:30, except for seasonal changes posted in the Disneyland Paris app. Reservations are recommended.

What sets it apart

A mountain-style buffet inspired by American parks. Located inside the Sequoia Lodge hotel, this restaurant offers a large all-you-can-eat buffet in a rustic setting that looks like a big wooden lodge. The spread features slow-simmered dishes, meat specialties, and plenty of international desserts. It’s an ideal spot for a hearty family meal after a day of walking.

The most popular tables go fast, often several weeks ahead: I recommend booking as soon as your dates are set. Also look at the menu before you go, so you’ll know right away whether this restaurant appeals to you and won’t waste time once you’re there.

History

Beaver Creek Tavern opened on May 27, 1992, along with Disney’s Sequoia Lodge, and it’s one of the two large dining rooms in the main building.

Located on the ground floor across from Hunter’s Grill, it has a theme inspired by rustic American forest lodges. The interior hasn’t been renovated in any way that changes its look or its story since it opened.

My verdict

Julie
Julie ★★★★☆ 200+ visits since 2023

Beaver Creek Tavern is the all-you-can-eat buffet restaurant at Disney’s Sequoia Lodge, themed as a hunters’ tavern. Its strengths are the immersive rustic decor and a varied buffet that non-hotel guests can enjoy too.

I haven’t tried this restaurant yet. My opinion is based on my research and on what I’ve heard from people I know and from Disney fans. Open since 1992, it serves its buffet for around €45 per adult and €25 per child, in a warm American forest atmosphere. Feedback praises the decor and the variety but points out that it’s only open for dinner and that there can be a line at peak times. It’s a convenient dinner option for families staying on site.

I’d suggest it for families who want a buffet dinner right by the Disney forest. If lunch or a table service meal is what you’re after, look elsewhere.

Your questions about this restaurant

01 How can I reserve a table at one of the Disneyland Paris restaurants?

There are four ways to book. The easiest is still the official Disneyland Paris app ("Dining" section), signed in to your Disney account. You can also call the reservation line at +33 1 60 30 40 50, use the official website through the Dining menu, or book in person at City Hall, Studio Services, or your Disney hotel’s concierge desk. Before you decide, I suggest you download my free file by email, which gathers every Disneyland Paris restaurant menu in one place. It makes choosing so much easier.

02 How early can I make a Disneyland Paris restaurant reservation?

The booking window depends on where you’re staying. If you’re at a Disney hotel, you can book up to 1 year ahead, as soon as your stay is confirmed. That’s a real advantage for very popular restaurants like Auberge de Cendrillon or the character buffets. If you’re coming for the day without a Disney hotel, you can book up to 2 months (60 days) ahead. You can reserve through the Disneyland Paris app, on the official website, or by phone at +33 1 60 30 40 50. My advice: book the moment the window opens for character dining and for weekend evenings or French school vacation evenings, or the time slots go fast.

03 Is it still possible to get a table the same day with no reservation?

Yes, it’s possible but not guaranteed. Some restaurants run a "walk-in line" depending on the seats that open up during the day. Go to the restaurant’s host stand and ask whether they have room. The app also shows time slots as they free up in real time (last-minute cancellations), and I check it often when I’m after a last-minute table. Otherwise, fall back on the quick-service counters and snack stands, which never require a reservation. Tip: eating lunch at off-peak times (before 12:00 or after 14:00) greatly improves your chances of getting a table without a reservation.

04 How do you cancel a Disney restaurant reservation?

Canceling is easy in the official Disneyland Paris app. Go to "Account > My dining reservations", pick the reservation you want, and confirm the cancellation. You can also cancel by phone at +33 1 60 30 40 50. Cancel as soon as you know you won’t make it: it frees up a spot for other guests and it’s a nice thing to do. Important: you can’t change the time or the number of people in your party directly in the app. If you need a change, you have two options: cancel and make a new reservation (if time slots are still open), or call the reservation line at +33 1 60 30 40 50.

05 When I book, can I request a high chair or a birthday cake, or say I’m using a meal plan?

Yes. When you book (app, phone, or website), you’ll find a "Special Request" field where you can make several requests. You can ask for a high chair for your baby, a birthday cake (at an extra charge), mention a food intolerance or allergy, or let them know you want to use your half-board meal plan. For the birthday cake, I suggest asking right when you book to be sure one is available. If you didn’t, you can also ask when you arrive at the restaurant, and they’ll try to work something out depending on what they have that day.
